WWC has shows on both Saturday and Sunday each weekend.

Ray Gonzalez and Intelecto 5 Estrellas vs The Dynasty (Xavant and Gilbert)

La Seguridad is at ringside for Xavant and Gilbert. We join this in progress I think.

Gilbert locks up with Ray and pushes him over to start and poses. We jump to a little later in the match and Ray is pushed over again. Ray hits some punches on Gilbert and Gilbert goes outside to regroup. The Dynasty has a group meeting outside. Ray has Xavant in a headlock and then uses his legs to do a poor headscissors on Gilbert. The Dynasty has another team meeting then Estrellas comes in and bangs their heads together.

Xavant gets back in and Estrellas gut punches him off the ropes. Xavant hits a big boot on Estrellas then Gilbert and Estrellas trade chops in the corner. We then go to break with ads for the Anniversary Show and return. Gilbert bulldogs Estrellas for 2. Xavant slams Estrellas then elbow drops him. Xavant belly to belly suplexes Estrellas then suplexes him for 2.

Estrellas is choked and punched on the ropes by La Seguirdad then Gilbert gets a choke in too. Gilbert back elbows Estrellas then stomps and chinlocks him as Ray fights to get in. Estrellas gets some punches in then Xavant pulls him down. Ray hits leg kicks on Gilbert then figure fours him. La Seguridad jumps on the apron and he quickly drops it then a La Seguridad member does it again. Xavant pulls his neck over the top rope from the apron then Gilbert rock bottoms Ray for the win.

This was a simple match with the heels cheating and eventually pulling off the win. Ray looked shot unfortunately.

Xavant and Gilbert get on the mic after. Gilbert says he will become the Director of WWC at the Anniversary Show after beating Ray Gonzalez. Gilbert then says , "Ray Gonzalez, No More" into the cameras.

We get another ad for the Anniversary show then we go back to Abel and Axel. They say the next match will renew some memories.

WWC Anniversary 1998 9/10/1988 - WWC Tag Titles - The Batten Twins (c) vs The Sheepherders

For those who don't know, WWC likes to air classic matches. Most likely because they are free and fill time.

The Sheeperherders are The Bushwhackers and they are carrying an Australian flag. The Bushwhackers do their Bushwhacker stomp while holding the Aussie flag, then they salute it. The Twins go outside and say something on the mic but the announcers talk over it.

The match starts with brawling and the Twins dosey-do and dropkick the Herders out. Luke hits some punches and takes some knees and a dropkick. Luke hits chest clubs on one of the Twins then knees him in the gut. Luke misses a 2nd rope headbutt then is dropkicked out. The Twins double axehandle Luke's arm off the top. We then go to a long break and return.

Luke has one of the Twins' hair then Butch trips that Twin. Luke is hit in the head with trash from the fans then a twin is thrown out and takes a hard fall onto the ring stand. Butch bangs his head off a table outside and then hits him with a title belt.

Butch bangs one of the twins' heads off the apron and Luke falls off the platform.  The Twins finally get a tag and one of them bangs the Herder's heads together when he gets in. He puts Luke in a sleeper and Butch breaks it up. Luke takes punches in the gut and then Luke collides with one of the twins. The one twin dropkicks one Herder into the other and hits some punches on Luke. Luke then accidentally knees his own partner and knocks him out of the ring. Luke takes a top rope crossbody but the twin knocks out the ref during the move. Butch uses his flag on that twin then Luke picks up the win.

What we saw (maybe it was clipped, maybe not) was pretty good. I've never seen the Battens and they were good faces here with fire, nice comebacks and good punches. Luke did some nice bumping for them and this was better than most of the stuff you are going to see on TV today, even with the dirty finish.

We go back to Abel and Axel. Axel says he wants to show up the part of the show with the highest ratings and anticipation - La Opinion de Gilbert!

Gilbert and The Dynasty are in a dressing room. Gilbert says his opinion is the only one that truly matters. Gilbert says Ray has fallen into a trap. He said he has fallen and he has the intelligence of a baby. Gilbert says they will have absolute control of the company soon and Gilbert says Ray will be unemployed soon. They mention Ric Flair and Xavant possibly says he's going to beat him at the Anniversary Show. Gilbert talks about the new opponent for Gran Armando and Gran calls him a cockroach. Gilbert then says La Revolucion have no chance at the Anniversary Show against La Seguridad in the tag title match.

Axel and Able are back and are doing a Route to the 49th Anniversary segment. We see Estrellas beating Xavant in a battle royale and we see Ray Gonzalez against Gilbert. Axel says he has an exclusive interview with Andrade. We see Andrade working out. He says he will be in PR in 3 weeks. Andrade says he needs a neutral ref for his match at the Anniversary show. Axel says Andrade took advice from Ric Flair not to trust a Colon. Andrade and Axel want Ray Gonzalez as the ref and Abel says he will ask Ray about it.

Overall thoughts: We had one new match here and one classic match with a couple of Gilbert promos and an Andrade promo thrown in between. This wasn't a must see show, though the classic match was good and the new match we saw was decent.
