ICW No Holds Barred 7/1/2022 The Pit VII

The Pit today is just a mat with nothing else but weapons sitting around.

Neil Diamond Cutter vs Malcolm Monroe III

Neil runs at him and they trade fast forearms.  Monroe picks him up and Neil hits a snapmare while he's in the air, then Neil sentons him. Neil slams him on two chairs opposite of each other then Neil hits him with carpet strips. Neil then puts a cement block on his knee and breaks it with another block, but the ref's butt is in the way and we don't see it.

Neil puts gusset plates in his own chest and Monroe kicks them in. Monroe then ddt's him for 2. Neil jawbreakers him then kind of does a sunset bomb that causes Monroe to bang off the floor. Neil puts mouse traps on Monroe's finger and ear. Monroe then returns the favor, putting one on his finger then Monroe sticks a mouse trap on his tongue.

Monroe hits a stiff spinning forearm for 2 then slaps gusset plates onto Neil's back. Monroe slaps a gusset plate into Neil's head then slaps one into his own head. Monroe then running knees him for 2. Neil hits some headbutts and backdrops him. Neil hits him in the head with an empty water jug then is speared on a door against the wall.

Neil hits his back with a cement block then Monroe jumps off a chair with a hurricanrana. They trade forearms on their knees with Neil hitting some nice ones. Monroe then jumps off the chairs and hits a flipping ddt for 2 on Neil. Neil rolling death valley drivers Monroe on chairs for 2. Monroe then hits an air raid crash on a cement block for 2.

Monroe then grabs his leg and german suplexes him. Neil stabs him with skewers and puts some in his head. Neil then nails him in the head with a door piece for 2. Monroe comes back with a hook kick and double underhook powerbombs him on doors for 2. Neil then falcon arrows him on a door and chairs. Neil then falcon arrows him again on it with some gusset plates and wins it.

They did too much here for the opener but they had a good one going here for a bit. This was brutal and this was one of the better deathmatches they've had. Monroe impressed here and really added to the match with his flying.

Isaiah Broner vs Aaron Williams

Broner throws shots at him and backs him up to the wall. Aaron flips over him by walking up the wall then kicks him against the wall. Aaron then takes punches against the wall. Aaron hits a kick combo then Broner hits a nice overhead belly to belly. They trade chest chops then Aaron opens up his shirt and takes chops. They then forearm each other and Aaron hits a stiff knee. Aaron then standing moonsaults him for 2.

Aaron hits some stiff kicks then hits a nice punch to the face. Broner flips him off and they trade chops with Broner on his knees. Aaron moonsaults off of something and hits more kicks on a downd Broner. Aaron then takes Larry Legend's spiked shoe and hits Broner with it, then he rubs the spikes on it in Broner's face.

Aaron tries to kick him with the spiked shoe and then ends up choking him on his back. Aaron stunners him and goes foff the ledge again but is caught in a choke. Broner then chokes him out to win it.

The first half was pretty good and the second half wasn't as good with the shoe stuff kind of taking a while and the sudden finish. 

The Carver vs Satu Jinn

They trade chops to start and Jinn cuts Carver's shirt up with a blade. Jinn hits a flurry of strikes and Carver comes back with punches. Jinn puts a gusset plate into Carver's arm then Jinn headbutts him. Jinn then slaps a gusset plate into his back and Jinn falling headbutts him.

Carver grabs an axe and puts it in Jinn's head. Carver then russian leg sweeps him with it. Crver slaps a gusset plate on Jinn's back then puts a spike in his head. Jinn comes back with a slap flurry then takes a spike to the head. Jinn hits him with a popper bat then lariats him.

Carver chokes him with a chain then forearms him to the back of the head. Carver then puts the spike in Jinn's mouth and curbstomps him with it and a chain to win.

It was fine and the finish with the curbstomp + the spike in the mouth was unique.

Brandon Kirk vs Darren McCarty

Darren McCarty is a former NHL player and Brandon wears a Colorado Avalanche jersey to mock him. Kirk offers him the chance to back out before the match.

Dareen gives him hockey gloves and they both put them on. Kirk slaps him with them then Darren rushes him and pulls the jersey over his head. They both throw the gloves off and Darren hits him with a hockey stick with poppers.

Kirk trash can lid shots him multiple times then Kirk pounds a cheese grater in his head. Darren comes back with a trash can lid and grabs a skate. Kirk hits him with a firecracker bat first though and they fight over the skate. Kirk asks for a door and gets it then he puts it against the wall.

Kirk takes a lid to the crotch. Darren blocks a piledriver with a kick to the crotch and spears him into the door for 2. They trade punches then Kirk puts a plate in his head. Kirk puts a half camel-clutch on him then grounds it into a choke. Tommy Vendetta throws the towel in and Kirk wins.

Darren's a little limited, but he tried here and Kirk was a good heel as usual.

In a wild turn of events, the rest of the show was cancelled after a stabbing incident outside that was unrelated to the event. Those people really need to learn how to work.

Overall thoughts: It's a shame the event was cancelled abruptly. What we saw was good and I had a fun time watching it.
