Zoey Stark comes out to start. She says it feels good to be back. She said she was told she'd be out for a year after tearing her mcl/acl and said she went to work the day after surgery. She said she is now the #1 Contender to the NXT Women's Title. She said Toxic Attraction stands in her way. She said she'd take the NXT Title from Mandy Rose then Cora Jade interrupted her. She mocked her.

Zoey said the last time she saw her, she threw her over the top. Cora said she's sick of her and said if it wasn't for her, she'd be facing Mandy Rose for the title. Zoey said the title Cora threw away wasn't a piece of trash, Cora is the peace of trash. Toxic Attraction interrupted. They mocked both girls and Mandy said only she wins, neither one of them can win. She said she becomnes the longest reigning NXT women's champ tomorrow. Mandy says to show her respect and Zoey says to put her title on the line tonight. Gigi said Zoey just came back and doesn't get to call the shots. Gigi said she'd take her on tonight, put her on the shelf and said her dream of being women's champ, stays a dream when she is done with her.

Grayson Waller does a promo. He calls us idiots and said the girl we like is following him. Waller said he is going to embarrass Wes Lee in the ring and said it'll be almost as much as how much we embarass ourselves when looking in the mirror.

The D'Angelo Family meets in the back. Tony talks about Stacks shaking down Carmine Jr. Tony says Elektra has proven herself and says Wilde/Cruz have stepped up. He says loyalty isn't a one and done thing and says tonight, they crack some skulls in the 8-man tag. Tony said it isn't personal tonight, it's business - Tony D Business.

Wes Lee vs Grayson Waller

GW pushes him off early and throws him. GW armdrags him into a pin attempt off the 2nd rope. Lee armdrags him and gets on his shoulders to roll him up. Wes double stomps Gw's back and hits more armdrags. Lee goes to leapfrog or jump up and is kicked in the gut. Wes spinning headscissors him and dropkicks him out. GW moves on a plancha outside and punches him, then is superkicked.

We come back from break with GW in control. He hits a fireman's carry into a sitout spinebuster. GW shoves him in the head then foot shoves him. GW talks trash then gets slapped the slap/forearm combo'd. Wes then bulldogs him and pounds on him. GW goes out and Wes topes him. We is pushed to the floor and then a fan in the stands him him from behind and that fan appears to be Trick Williams.

Wes somehow beats the count then GW rolls out and back in into a cutter and the win.

This was an athletic match and was fun with the two working well together.

Trick then poses over him after.

The Schism do an interview, with Joey Gacy, Rip and Jagger. They said the past is a shadow of their souls and they can reach into the light to a new potential. They say have stepped into a world of inclusion and have changed their lives for the better. Joey says he can see that Cameron Grimes is lost and says he can be the lost father figure in his life. He says all he has to do is join him under The Schism's tree. 

We see Arianna Grace talking about her match with Indi Hartwell. Indi then comes in and says there are no-time outs in a battle royale. She said Arianna would have done the same thing to her in the battle royale. Indi said this isn't ballet or a beauty pageant.

Xyon Quinn vs Apollo Crews

Apollo dropkicks him and slingshot sentons him early. Xyon gets some stomps on him then neckbreakers him. xyon then does a kip up and a pose. Xyon does a perfect suplex on him then cobra clutches him. Xyon holds up his forearms and cross-foremans him to the throat.

Apollo kicks him then jumping clotheslines him int oa kip up. Apollo then lariats him for 2. Crews top ropes crossbodies Xyon then Xyon does a fireman's carry drop on him. Crews backcrackers him then spinebusters him for the win.

Really not sure why they had Xyon lose here. He's been losing a lot lately unfortunately. This wasn't anything special.

Toxic Attraction does an interview. They say they will eliminate Roxanne tonight. Sarray comes in and says she wants her opportunity. Jacy says no shot and says they should beat her butt too. Mandy then says she didn't forget what Sarray did to her and said she tried to rearrange her face. She said she doesn't care which version of Sarray shows up next week. Mandy was referencing something that happened back on NXT 8/31/21 with Sarray.

Solo does a promo on Von Wagner. He said they can fight on his or Von's streets and said let's do a falls count anywhere match next week.

Zoey Stark vs Gigi Dolin

Zoey hits a back elbow and goes to run the ropes but Mandy tries to get involved. Gigi capitalizes as she loses focus then Gigi backdrops her. Gigi bow and arrows her. Zoey sliding knees her then Gigi his a reverse axe kick. Zoey superkicks her then flips her int oak nee for the win.

This quick and Zoey pretty much had to win here.

Jacy goes after Zoey and is superkicked and thrown out. Mandy then tries but is chased off.

Cora Jade pops up from behind and hits Zoey with a cane then Roxanne Perez chases her off.

JD Mcdonagh arrives in his car.

We get a package on Wendy Choo having nightmares about Tiffany Stratton. Wendy wkaes up out of her nightmare and finds her drink has nothing in it. She looks in the mirror and says she woke up on the wrong side of the bed due to Tiffany. She says she needs to leave Candyland behind and says the next time she sees Tiff, it'll be lights out for her.

JD Mcdonagh is in the crowd. He said he didn't have the chance to introduce himself. Some fan is eating popcorn and he asks if he knows how many Americans die each year eating popcorn. He tells him to chew carefully. He goes up to the time keeper/bell ringer. He says its a very important job. He grabs the hammer and says hitting someone's hand with that hammer will pop a finger out of the socket. He then mentions the ring announcer, saying she has a fabulous voice. He then goes up to Wade and shakes his hand, saying he is a huge fan. He says all of his years of bareknuckle boxing created calcium deposits on his hand and makes them easy to manipulate. He then goes up to Vic Joseph and tells him not to stand up. He said he heard what Vic said about his family and didn't like it. He says he bets he could break his collarbone and tells him to keep up the good work. He then calls out Bron Breakker. This was not good at all and was weird.

Bron comes out. He says JD will become acclimated with Bron at NXT Heatwave and he won't like it. JD headbutts him then Bron shoulders him over. JD's mouth bleeds and he laughs.

We go to Chase U in the back. Chase wants to know the deal with Giovanni Vinci. Bodhi says he's a big jerk. Thea said she loved his car and said he got mad at her for touching his care. Thea then hypes up and says she wants to beat him up. Chase says nobody speaks to Chase U students like that. Nathan Frazer comes out and says he wants to be the honorary flag bearer. Chase says he will give Vinci an Andre Chase University sized @ss whopping.

We get a comic book style on Axiom with comic book captions and clips.

Roxanne Perez is interviewed. She wasn't happy at Cora throwing the NXT Tag Title in the trash. She said someone else agrees with her and brings out Alundra Blayze. She has Roxanne pull the tag title out of the trash and says it should be held by women who are proud to have and defend them. Medua says it took a long time to get a new women's champ when she threw the belt in the trash, but to solve this situation, they will have a fatal four way next week with the titles on the line. Blayze then hugs her. I hated the belts being thrown in the trash but this was interesting.

Giovanni Vinci vs Andre Chase

Chase armdrags him over then Vinci plays around with kip ups andarmdrags him. Vinci grabs the side headlock then Chase backslides him and side headlocks him. Chase sunset flips him for 2 then crucifixes him. Chase hits a big hiptoss then Vinci does a nice flying kick to the face. Chase single leg dropkicks him. Bodhi waves the Chase U flag then Vinci and Vinci grabs it and breaks it. Chase then throws Vinci into the post.

We go to break and return. Chase is out of ring and gets a baseball slide. Vinci does something to Hail outside then Chase backdrops Vinci. Chase atomic drops Vinci then russian legsweeps him and neckbreakers him. Chase hits the Chase-U stomps then uranage's him.

Chase came off the 2nd rope and was caught with a suplex. Vinci springboards but catches a kic kand a tiger driver for 2. Chase facekicks Vinci then takes a hard lariat. Vinci then hits his big sit out last ride and wins it.

It really picked up in the 2nd half with a quick pace and some good action.

Vinci stomps on Chase after then Nathan Frazer and Chase U make the save.

We go to Diamond Mine and they say it feels good to be united. Strong says the war with Tony D is good for them. Julius asks if they are hungry and tells themn to dig deep. He said Tony D's crew beat them down, but they are getting up and will drop them. They then do a Diamond Mine chant

Valentina Feroz talks to Yulia Leon on video call. They are excited and say they should prepare. Sanga then walks in and says they are ready. He says  they will be tag champs next week.

Katana Chance and Kayden Carter are interviewed. Kayden said they were mad at the tag titled being thrown in the trash. Chance says the titles belong on a true friendship. Tatum Paxley and Ivy Nile then walk in. Carter tells her to shut up and says they aren't a team. Ivy says they will take care of business next week. Elektra Lopez then walks in and says Diamond Mine loses to Tony D's crew then everyone brawls.

Indi Hartwell vs Arianna Grace

Indi headlocks her and Grace rolls out of a wristlock and poses. Indi side slams her and Grace bangs her head off the buckles. Grace kneels on her back and pulls under her chin then Grace works the back.

Indi tries to make a comeback then side slams her. Grace rolls her up with her feet on the ropes and gets caught. Indi then kicks her and wins it.

This wasn't too good. Indi's been at this for a long time and sitll isn't that good.

Mr. Stone and Von Wagner are interviewed. Stone says Von has no remorse and declines Solo Sikoa's challenge. Von says he is not declining anything. Stone says Von ran off Sofia Cromwell and Von says he doesn't give a sh!t if Sofia wants to run off to be a model. He then said he would accept the challenge and tells Solo to come get his crown back if he wants it next week.

Kiana James does a slide show on "What is wrong with the NXT Women's Division?". She puts up a pic of Nikkita Lyons and talks trash about her family. She said she has a bad vocabulary. Kiana rips the clothing she wears and says she doesn't fit the mode of what a woman should be. She said she will report back with more findings as she looks into this troubled young one.

We get an Alba Fyre vs Lash Legend feud package.

Next week is the women's tag title 4 way, a falls count anywhere match with Solo vs Von Wagner and a Summit between Bron and JD.

The D'Angelo Family (Tony D'Angelo, Stacks, Cruz Del Toro and Joaquin Wilde) vs Diamond Mine (The Creed Brothers, Roderick Strong and Damon Kemp

They all stand next to each other and argue before it starts. both teams are wearing matching colors.

Strong armdrags Stacks early then Strong leg lariats him. Julius does a release vertical suplex on Stacks, throwing him across the ring. Julius gives Stacks a hard lariat then Tony does a nice takedown and pounding on Julius. Julius corner lariats Tony. We then get a stand off between all 8 guys and they fight.

Julius is on top of Tony and Tony's crew pulls him out. Brutus then cannonball dives Tony's crew off the apron. We go to break and return. Brutus pops up Wilde super high then Kemp flipping shoulders Wilde and does a nice spinning slam. Kemp lariats him over the top and is chopblocked on his next spinning slam attempt.

Kemp gets put in tree of woe and stomped on. All 4 of Tony's crew take turns on him. Stacks single leg crabs Kemp. Kemp slingshot spears Stacks. Toro is thrown over the top then Julius Creed does a nice pop-up spinebuster on Stacks. Creed catches Toro on a dive and throws him then jumps up top and top rope suplexes Wilde. He then germans Tony and belly to bellies him. Julius ankle locks Tony then Brutus pounces someone. Everyone gets moves in then Strong accidentally nails Julius. Tony then hits a nice twisting fisherman's buster on Julius and wins it.

This was good one with them really going wild in the finishing stretch. Julius had a fantastic hot tag in and really looked good.

We then cut to the back and Alundra Blayze is interviewed in the parking lot. She said she doesn't know who will win the tag title match but says the last team standing will become champs. Dolin and Jacy then go up to her. They say there are no other teams and say they want the titles handed to them. Alundra says they have to fight for them next week.

Overall thoughts: Three of the matches were good with the main being pretty good and that helped make this a good one. The JD McDonagh segment was not good though. I was glad they addressed Sofia Cromwell's departure and I'm glad they did something to right the wrong of the NXT Women's Tag Title being put in the garbage.
