Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/03/epw-wrestling-372026-episode-232.html
Gene Jackson and Joey Gross are on commentary.
The commentators talk about tonight's show.
Zay Washington vs Isiah Cone
They lock up and trade side headlocks. Zay pulls the hair and wristlocks him. Cone headflips out. Zay kips up and down out of a wristlock. Cone chops him.
Zay boots him in the gut. Cone side headlock takeovers him. Cone chops him then Zay chops him down. Zay hits mounted shots. Zay chokes him on the ropes and facekicks him. We go to break and return.
Zay hits a big facekick. Zay pulls Cone's arms back. They trade shots. Cone drops him with forearms. Cone low flying knees him. Zay spinning roundhouse kicks him. Zay pop-up powerbombs him. Zay then hits his exploder suplex/slam move. Zay picks up Cone twice on the pin attempt. Cone then cradles him and wins.
Thoughts: Cone's office was a little off here. Zay's wasn't though and he stiffed him like he usually does. It wasn't perfect, but I still liked it and thought they had the idea right.
Moses Cain vs Bobby Ford
MC shoves him back on the lock up. Ford waistlocks him but is backed up into the buckles. Ford hits chops and punches on MC. MC gets mad, throws him in the corner and lariats him. MC chops him in the corner. MC throws him.
We go to break and return. Ford gets thrown again. Ford hits shots to the gut then is thrown hard into the buckles. MC sleepers him and Ford jawbreakers out. MC side slams him (he calls it the backroad baptism). Ford's head is banged off the buckles.
MC hit shots to the gut. Ford fires back and hits forearms. MC catches his corner splash. Ford does a tornado bulldog. Ford is caught coming off the top. MC then black hole slams him and wins.
Thoughts: It was a decent big man vs small man match. Ford did a good job firing up and selling for Cain and Cain threw him around.
Commission K-Swiss comes out. He says he doesn't like Ford and never will. He says he will make him miserable as long as he's here.
The announcers talk about the Raven Black vs Makkari Kandy feud.
Double Dog Collar Match - Parental Advisory (Hunter Dabbs and Dakota Gage) vs The Initiative (Trace Hunt and Jason Genesis)
Aryann is with The Initiative.
The four tug on the chairs. PA hit stereo dropkicks. Gage hits shots on Jason's gut. PA hits stereo mounted corner punches. PA are then sent out. The heels come off the apron and both get hit in the gut with chains. Gage and Jason go into the crowd. Dabbs hits shots on Hunt. The heels are sent into each other. Aryanna slaps PA. PA are pulled into each other then they get whipped with the chains.
Gage gets whipped with the chain by Jason inside. Dabbs yanks Hunt down by the chain. Dabbs goes to jump off of Gage's back but Hunt pulls back on the chain. Dabbs takes an awful looking fall. Dabbs is hung over the top and Gage gets clotheslined by the chain that is choking Dabbs.
Jason hangs Gage with the chain. Hunt is then clotheslined into the chain that hangs Gage. Gage comes off the top and is hit with the chain. We go to break and return.
The heels pound on Gage. Jason goes over the top and he gets hanged with the chain by Gage. Dabbs is explodered onto the chain while it chokes Jason. Jason brings a table into the ring. Dabbs' head is banged off the buckles. Hunt spinebusters Gage.
Jason top rope frogplashes Gage for 2. Hunt takes a backdrop + backcracker combo for 2. Jason chain lariats PA. Gage is wrapped in the chain and takes a backdrop + backcracker combo for 2. The heels sit on the faces back and pull the chains around their throats and faces. The faces slide out and pull the chain into the heels' crotches. The heels then get the chains pulled in to their faces.
Aryann comes in and eye rakes the faces. Aryann is then ejected by the ref. Dabbs takes a 2nd rope powerslam through a table for 2. Jason whips Gage with the chain. Another table is brought in. Gage dropkicks the table into Jason. Hunt is double teamed by the faces.
Dabbs is laid on the table. Jason gets hit and he ends up crotching Hunt on the top rope. Gage spinebusters Jason. Dabbs top rope splashes Jason on the table but the table doesn't break. Dabbs then pins Jason.
Thoughts: It was a good match and a rather memorable affair. EPW has a smaller ring and arena. While that could maybe destroy a match like this where having space to move is important, they used the lack of space to their advantage as everyone was trying to avoid going into the other chain. One person would be hanged with the chain then someone else would get clotheslined or thrown onto the chain while it was in use. That was super creative and something I hadn't seen done before. Dabbs jumped off his partner's back, got yanked and took a nearly deadly bump onto his neck and shoulder in a nasty spot there. It's a shame they couldn't get the table to break at the end, but the announcers correctly pointed out that it probably hurt even more because it didn't break. The one thing they were missing here was blood, but this show is on actual TV and I have a feeling that probably wasn't allowed. These guys did a really good job with this and this one is worth a look.
Overall thoughts: We had 3 matches here. I thought they had the logic right in the first two and did what they were supposed to. This one was all about the main event though. We had a unique double dog collar match in a smaller ring where there wasn't a ton of space to move. Instead of letting that destroy the match, the wrestlers turned this into a match inside of an obstacle course. The main was really good, is worth checking out and was one of the best matches I've seen out of EPW so far. I'd give this a 7 out of 10, mostly due to the main.
