WWE Evolve 12/10/2025

WWE Evolve 12/10/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/12/wwe-evolve-1232025.html

We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Robert Stone and Pete Rosenberg are on commentary.

The Vanity Project talk in their hangout which looks like a college dorm room. They are complaining about the mess they made. They BS. Brad says 2026 will be no different for them than 2026. Drake says they will stay buzzing. Smokes says he's stick of Sean Legacy stalking them. Smokes gets excited as Nikkita Lyons is in the first match.

Nikkita Lyons vs Layla Diggs

Malik Blade is in the VIP Lounge, I think making his first Evolve appearance.

NL is backed up in the corner. She piefaces Diggs and is pushed in the head from behind. NL throws her off and Diggs jumping side kicks her. Diggs pumping knees her in the corner then does a dance into a standing moonsault for 2.

Diggs side headlocks her. Diggs' throat is pulled down over the top. NL hits mounted forearms. NL hip attacks her in the gut and suplexes her.  NL hits kicks and punches to the gut. Diggs flips out of an AA. Diggs does a bodyscissors takedown for 2. NL spin kicks her in the face for 2. NL does a split butt drop on her in the corner.

Masyn Holiday and NL dance at each other. Blade joins in. Diggs rolls up NL and pins her.

Thoughts: Uh, that was an ending alright. Diggs didn't botch but her moves didn't hit the cleanest as sadly is often the case. I feel like Nikkita is finally getting comfortable with her new offense and is figuring out how to use it now.

Sean Legacy is being hyped up by WWE ID guys in the back. He says he can't believe it's almost been a year since WWE ID and Evolve have been started. Cappuccino Jones says the 6-man on the first show seems like so long ago. Mathers says some of us weren't on the first ep but they will keep pushing forward. Aaron Rourke says they need to get the title off Vanity Project. Sean is worried about Keanu Carver and Rourke says they will have his back. Timothy Thatcher comes in. He says WWE ID has made its mark in the first year. TT says it's important they keep building and says he believes Sean can win the title. He says The Vanity Project doesn't rep WWE properly. TT says we will have a 5v5 team gauntlet match with the WWE ID guys vs WWE Performance Center guys. He says they will keep going until one man is left. TT says he is counting on TT to lead the charge.

The gauntlet match will be next week. We are told the winning team receives authority over Evolve for a day and the winner gets an Evolve Title shot.

Kendal Grey and Carlee Bright talk in the back. CB talks about Grey being involved in so much. She says she feels like she is is just seen as her friend and wants to do her own thing. Grey says she's proud of her and tells her to find her edge as people will try to push her around. CB says maybe it'll be them in the ring for the Evolve Title.

Thoughts
: CB is getting Jannetty'd here. I took this to mean that Grey probably isn't going to be sticking around Evolve that much longer which isn't shocking. CB needs things to do and sadly, being Grey's buddy isn't getting her there.

Chen does an inset promo as he enters for his match. He says he was called "The Gatekeeper" in Level Up because if you couldn't keep up with him, you had to step aside. He says nothing has changed in Evolve. He says DM's confidence and ability will be tested by the measuring stick of Evolve.

Dante Chen vs Drake Morreaux

This is Drake's Evolve debut.

They lcok up. Chen armbreakers his arm, stomps the hand and wristlocks him. DM works the arm and shoulders him over. DM slams him then splashes him for 2. Harley Riggins and Jax Presley are in the VIP Lounge. DM running back elbows him. Chen germans him.

DM slams him then Chen gets his knees up on his splash. Chen hits a corner lariat and hits boots in the corner. Chen 2nd rope diving shoulders him then running boots him in the head for 2. Chen chinlocks him. DM gordbusters him then splashes his back off the bottom rope. DM hits forearms.

DM atomic drops him then running facekicks him. DM misses a corner charge and is superkicked. Chen suplexes him. DM rolls out. DM catches Chen's tope and throws him back in. DM spinning lariats him off a gentle touch attack. DM chokeslams him for the win.

Thoughts: I'm glad Drake won here. What we got was fine but nothing super exciting and that kind of describes Drake. He doesn't really do anything wrong but you get similar levels of quality every time out and nothing he does screams that you need to push him.

Chuey Martinez interviews Drake after. Drake thanks everyone for the warm welcome. He says he wants to take his LFG experience into wins. Harley Riggins and Jax Presley interrupt. Harley says they have an opening and want to make him part of it. Drake says the WWE ID guys are going against the WWE PC guys and they want him part of it. Harley says if he scratches their back, they will scratch his in return. Drake says he's new and doesn't want to get involved in alliances yet.

Charlie Dempsey is working out in the ring. He says an important part of him is international recognition. He says that's why he was in NOAH and had a great time there. He says he kept hearing rumors of that Timothy Thatcher was back. He says Tim paved the way for someone like him. He says everyone keeps saying Tim is the technical master. He says he deserves that honor. Dempsey says he wants a match to figure out who the best technical master is. He tells him to bring his best and he will beat it.

It's GAL does a video. He says there's a storm brewing here and a 100% chance of chaos with WWE PC vs WWE ID. He talks about why he should join each team. He says he will join the team that can afford his fee and guarantee victory. He says to reach out to his agent ASAP.

Keanu Carver, Jax and Harley talk to Tate Wilder in the back. Harley says they want Tate to get the ball rolling and get some momentum. Jax says he wants him to send Sean back to the bingo hall. Tate says it's not about that. Tate says he doesn't want to ahead of himself and he's gotta lock in against Sean. Jax says they are elite level athletes and should be running this place. Tate says nothing is guaranteed here and this place is about learning and sportsmanship. Jax says it's about winning and asks if he will lay down vs Legacy. Harley says they are one phone call away and he's got something up his sleeve. Harley says they have an opening.

It's GAL vs Eli Knight

They lock up. Gal pushes him back and poses. Eli headflips up, pushes him and poses back. Eli side headlocks him. Gal squats Eli. Eli hits a dropkick and headflips up. Eli flying back elbows him and basement dropkicks him in the back of the neck for 2. Gal throws him and spinning lariats him for 2.

Gal elbows him in the back of the neck and chokes him on the ropes. Gal hits shots in the corner. Gal gutbusters him for 2. Gal abdominal stretches him. Eli hiptosses him. Eli hits punches then flying lariats him. Eli flying headscissors him.

Eli asai moonsaults him for 2. Eli misses a 450. Gal facekicks him. Eli flips out of a german and step up enzugiri's him. Eli gets on the 2nd rope and is kicked down. Gal blue thunders him and wins.

Thoughts: It was an okay match here. Eli got over some and did his usual flying. Gal was a little better than usual. There was nothing wrong with this. I've seen a lot of Eli prior to this so none of this is new to me, but he's definitely another Leon Slater/Je'Von Evans type and is definitely going to be on that trajectory.

Wendy Choo is laying down in the back. She says she's happy an unknown person is here. She says she feels like she is spiraling. She says she loses it when Chantel Monroe is in the way. She says she doesn't know what to do. She says she's frustrated with herself. Chantel Monroe then pounds on her and asks if she just considered that she was a loser. She then throws her over the mini couch.

#1 Contender's Match - Sean Legacy vs Tate Wilder

They lock up. SL top wristlocks him and takes him down. SL ties up his arms and pulls on the fingers. SL cravates him, snapmares him and standing moonsaults him for 2. Rourke, Cappuccino and Mathers are in the VIP Lounge. Tate wristlocks him. SL armdrags him. Tate armdrags him and flips him by the arm. Tate throws him down by the arm.

Tate hits punches and slams SL. Tate springboard backsplashes him for 2. We go to break and return. SL chinlocks him. Tate backdrops him to escape it. Tate hits punches. SL chops him. Tate shoulders him over and flying shoulders him. Tate twisting brainbusters him for 2.

Tate is crotched up top. Tate misses a top rope moonsault and walks into an SL superkick. SL swinging and spinning backbreakers him for 2. SL goes up and over then is back body dropped outside. SL hits his chin on the apron then Tate topes SL outside. Tate shakes the rails near the VIP Lounge in excitement and he does a brief stare at Cappuccino, Rourke and Mathers. Jax/Harley/Keanu come down to help him. Braxton Cole, who has had one match here, sends Sean into the post. The WWE ID guys go after him. Everyone then fights outside.

Tate asks Cole what he's doing. Cappuccino aims for Cole but drops Tate with a big forearm. CL hits shambles on Tate and pins him.

Thoughts: It didn't get a ton of time but what we got was okay. We got a little bit of flying as expected. What was unexpected as the big brawl at the end and the unexpected return of Braxton Cole. Cole has only wrestled once since this series started and hasn't done anything since, so it's a bit of a random return. I do think they are turning Sean Legacy heel and him winning with help is another step on the road to that.

Jackson Drake stomps Sean Legacy after and targets his shoulder. Everyone keeps fighting. Drake hits mounted shots on Sean and holds the title over him to end the show.

Overall thoughts: This episode was all about the WWE PC vs WWE ID feud which dripped over into the main event. I think they are doing an okay job with it but I feel like it's more of the beginning than the end of it, while booking suggests the opposite. Lyons/Diggs was about average. Chen/Morreaux was fine. Gal/Eli was an okay match with the two working okay together. What we got in the main was alright but there was shenanigans involved in the finish. I'd give this a low 6 out of 10 as the show was fine as a whole.

  1. Nikkita is actually getting better. Good for her! Coming back from back-to-back knee injuries and being demoted to Evolve must have lit a fire under her.
