NWA United States Tag Titles - Kerry Morton (c) vs The Slimeballz (Sage Chantz and Tommy Rant)

We are told Alex Taylor is injured and out. Kerry has no partner and he's going at this alone. Aron Stevens comes out for The Slimeballz. Silas Mason is on commentary for this. Joe Cazana made this match last week during a discussion.

Sage offers a handshake and Kerry gyrates at him. Kerry knees him in the gut and side headlocks him. Kerry shoulders Sage over. Sage dropkicks him. Sage crucifixes him but can't get him down. Kerry hits him in the throat. Sage bites him in the corner. Stevens is shocked by this.

Rant comes in. He sticks out his tongue and Kerry grabs it. Rant dropkicks him and misses a corner charge. Rant running back elbows him. Kerry is hit with double team shots. Kerry superkicks Sage. Kerry stomps Sage. Sage bites Kerry. 

Kerry misses a pumping knee in the corner. Rant hits lariats on Kerry and back body drops him. Rant hits shots to the gut and headbutts him. Rant sentons Kerry. Kerry pumping knees Rant from behind. Kerry gyrates at Sage. Sage then rolls him up off a suplex and wins.

Thoughts: I like The Slimez a lot but there was one major plot hole in this - Silas Mason was on commentary. Silas is Kerry's partner. You would think he would step up to team with him with Alex Taylor being out, but he didn't, which makes no sense. He then provided commentary as his partner lost the tag titles. I think it also sucks because The Southern Six have been champs for a while and they ended up losing this way. They worked the match right but the circumstances around this one were bogus, especially when we just had substitutions in tag title matches with the women a few shows back. I'm happy to see The Slimez win something and they totally deserve it but the booking around it was funky.

Aron Stevens is shocked with his mouth wide open. Kerry throws a fit outside. 

Thom Latimer does a promo for his match with Murdoch tonight. He says he wrestled him 4 times and lost each time. He says Trevor has been lost in the shuffle while he became world champ. He says the odds of him whooping his @ss is pretty high and he says he will do what he does - kick his @ss.

The Holy Grail do a promo. EC3 says him and PB Smooth will take on The Drake's. EC says they have revelations to make. PB says they will drop The Drake's. He says Aron Stevens' white glove may fit, but PB says his fist will make you quit.

The Pope D'Angelo Dinero comes out and is interviewed by Kyle Davis in the ring. Kyle talks about Pope costing Mims his National Title. Pope says he wants to the the congregation/fans on his own. Pope says he can't stand cheaters, backstabbers and crybabies. He says Mims became all those things. He says he's not done with him yet. He says Mims is incomplete, a frame without a picture. He says he's here to complete Miz and he will. 

We go to Bitcrush. Tiffany Nieves and Ms. Starr walk in. Tiff says she's excited to see Mel. Tiff says she came to remind him they are TVMA. Tiff says she's part of the 1%. She asks if he's proud. Mel says he's not not proud. Mel asks where she found Greta. Tiff says she was brought to her. Mel isn't impressed. Tiff then calls Greta and says this is the call she's been waiting for.

Trevor Murdoch and Mike Knox do a promo. Trev says him being passed over for a title rematch bothered him. He says it will be pay day when he wins it back.

No DQ Match - AJ Cazana vs Tommy Henry

Joe Cazana made this last week when he and Tommy argued. AJ has Joe Cazana with him. Joe trips Tom to start. Tom goes out after him. AJ then gets behind Joe and hits Tom. Tom is sent into the post. AJ slams Tom on the apron and bangs his head off the camera man platform. AJ misses a shot and hits the post. Tom hits chops and his head is banged off the steps. 

AJ misses a charge and goes into the steps. AJ's head is then banged off the steps. Tom hits punches outside. Joe walks up on Tom. Tom backs him up then AJ hits Tom from behind. AJ hits shots on Tom in the corner. Joe takes off a turnbuckle pad. Tom is sent into the exposed buckle. AJ foot chokes Tom. AJ 2nd rope elbow drops him for 2.

AJ is pushed into the exposed buckle. Tom grabs a kendo stick and hits AJ with it. AJ misses a stick shot and is rolled up for 2. AJ chokes Tom in the corner. AJ misses a corner charge and goes into the post shoulder first. Joe Cazana comes in. Joe hits Tom with the book. Kylie Paige then comes in and low blows Joe. Kylie basement dropkicks him in the corner. 

AJ gets behind Kylie and powerslams her. AJ grabs his branding iron and chokes Tom with it. Tom is out and AJ wins.

Thoughts: It was mostly smoke and mirrors here but it was fine. Tom can't do a lot but he's okay as the underdog and the heels cheated to win. It was what it should have been and had a bunch of twists and turns that should lead to something.

We go back to Bitcrush.

Greta is here with TVMA and Mel tries to explain himself to Greta. Mel says he didn't really know who she was. Greta grabs him by the throat and says, "Greta".

Winner gets an NWA World Title shot - Thom Latimer vs Trevor Murdoch

This stems from these two talking in the ring a few weeks back. The ref is threatened by Trev and won't get in. Eric Smalls comes out with a hoodie on. He has a ref shirt on underneath and he will be the ref. The announcers say Trev said he would do any kind of match Thom wanted, so he apparently chose a special guest referee match.

They lock up and let go. Thom side headlocks him. Thom slides under his legs and dropkicks him. Thom hits knees and euros in the corner. Trev forearms and punches back. Trev's head is banged off the buckles and Thom hits mounted corner punches. 

Thom slams Trev. Trev begs off. Trev then pulls Thom into the buckles, sending him out. Thom's back is rammed into the apron edge. Trev half-nelson slams him for 2. Trev argues with Smalls over the count. 

We go to break and go to Larry Bleers II, a lawyer, in the Powerstation Offices. He talks about the inheritance being distributed. He says the process is unusual and says he will make sure it is done right.

Matt Cardona returns in 2 weeks.

The Drake's and Aron Stevens talk. Carson says they need to get rid of Lockjaw's hair. Lockjaw just stares at him. Carson says they will get him a watch. 

Back to the match and Trev chops down Thom. Thom back elbows him. Trev trips him and hits crossface shots. Trev short arm lariats Thom. Thom hits a big punch and boots him in the chest. Thom atomic drops him then lariats him. Thom hits a corner lariat and flatliners him. Thom ddt's him for 2. 

Thom is pulled down by the hair. Trev top rope diving bulldogs him for 2. Trev boots him in the corner then pushes Smalls down. Smalls low blows Trev. Thom pop-up sitout powerbombs Trev for 2. Thom piledrivers Trev and wins.

Thoughts: It was an average to acceptable match that got cut up by a break. Once Smalls was revealed as the special ref, it was kind of obvious that he would be costing Trev the match.  

Overall thoughts: We only had 3 new matches here. Nothing was great but nothing was awful either. Everything mostly sense here which was good though I don't buy Silas not being willing to step in to help his crew keep their US Tag Titles. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 total as it was an average show for the most part.
