AEW Collision 12/20/2025 Holiday Bash

The last Collision is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/12/aew-dynamitecollision-12172025.html

We are in Manchester, England. Tony Schiavone, Excalibur and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

AEW Continental Classic 2025 Gold League Match - Mike Bailey vs. Jack Perry

They evade each other early and try to dropkick each other at the same time. They then headflip up together. Mike side headlock takeovers him and they stand off. Jack hits chops in the corner. Jack suplexes him. Mike handsprings then hits a kick combo. They go out and Mike top rope moonsaults him outside. Jack back elbows him then drops him back first on the steps.

We go to break and return. Mike 2nd rope dropkicks him. Mike axe kicks him and chest kicks him. Mike hits a running ssp for 2. Mike falcon arrows him. Mike misses a top rope ssp. Mike legsweeps Jack on the apron. Mike misses a standing moonsault double knee on the apron. Jack canadian destroyers him on the apron.

They get back in and Mike facekicks him. Jack belly to belly overhead suplexes him in the corner and germans him for 2. Jack runs into a superkick. Jack sunset flips him for 2. Jack does an STF. Mike spinning forearms him. Mike PK's him then Jack blocks a standing moonsault double knee with his knees.

Mike superkicks him and corkscrew kicks him. Jack does a superkick and bites Mike boot. Jack backdrops Mike and wins him.

Thoughts:
I wasn't a fan of this one. They did a canadian destroyer on the apron here that absolutely meant nothing which is dumb since it looks like a painful spot.

Luchasaurus comes out in a Santa hat with a sack. He offers Mike a toy truck for some reason and Mike gives it to Jack.

Eddie Kingston vs. Nathan Cruz

The Grizzled Young Veterans attack Eddie Kingston when he comes out for some reason.

Eddie chops Cruz then is hit with a slingshot backdrop. Cruz chokes him with his leg on the ropes. Zack Gibson hits Eddie. Eddie corner lariats Cruz after Cruz misses a move on the ropes. Eddie hits machine gun chops on Cruz. Eddie neckbreakers him.

Gibson and Drake get on the apron. Eddie is distracted then rolled up. Eddie exploders Cruz then ddt's him. Eddie then wins.

Thoughts:
It was a short one with Eddie winning as expected. I have no idea why The Vets were out there messing with Eddie.

RevPro Undisputed British Women's Title Match - Mercedes Mone (c) vs. Alex Windsor

Alex dropkicks her and hit shots in the corner. Mone high kicks her. Alex flying lariats her. Alex russian legsweeps and lariats her. Alex sharpshooters her and Mone ropebreaks. Mone meteora's her on the apron. Alex no sells it and does another sharpshooter. Mone tiger feints under the bottom rope outside and is blue thunder drivered. Mone goes up and over and hits a backcracker. Mone knees Alex over the 2nd rope.

We go to break and return. Mone pulls Alex's head into the buckles with her feet. Mone comes off the buckles and runs into Alex's headbutt. Alex ddt's her over the 2nd rope. Mone rolls her up for 2 then crossfaces her. Mone crucifix bombs her. Mone meteora's her against the bottom rope for 2.

Mone is up top and Alex hits shots. Alex hits a 2nd rope blue thunder drivers. Mone backcrackers her into a crossface. Alex blocks a sunset flip. Alex rolls her up and pins her.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. The crowd wasn't into it and some of the blue thunders they did really didn't look good here. They also just couldn't get much of a flow going. Mone losing was a random one. There was no build at all to this and Alex hasn't even been used on TV much lately, so it's not like she was on a hot streak. One of the problems with Mone starting to lose her belts is that it really devalues the titles she has and makes her look bad despite having 10+ titles.

Alex hugs her son after.

AEW Continental Classic 2025 Gold League Match - Kazuchika Okada vs. Kevin Knight

Don Callis is on commentary but doesn't do a big intro for Okada.

KK and Okada go at it. Okada side headlocks him. Okada shoulders him over. They armdrag each other and try to dropkick each other at the same time. Okada is pulled over the top. KK misses a plancha outside. They trade forearms outside.

They go back in and trade forearms. KK jumps over a rainmaker. They forearm each other at the same time. KK wants both to springboard at the same time. Okada teases doing it then laughs. KK dropkicks Okada off the apron. KK springboard diving lariats him outside.

We go to PiP break and return. KK 2nd rope crossbodies him. KK jumping lariats Okada. KK jumping lariats him in the corner then slams him. KK hits a splash for 2. KK goes to springboard and pushes the ref into the ropes. Okada over the back neckbreakers him on the knee.

Okada slams him. Okada top rope elbow drops him. KK sky high's him for 2. Okada gets his knees up on KK's top rope 180 splash. Okada hits a rainmaker then dropkicks him. KK hits another dropkick. KK jumping ddt's him. KK springboard lariats him for 2. KK springboards and is dropkicked in mid-air. Okada wheelbarrow germans him. KK then gets a surprise cradle pin.

Thoughts: Kevin winning was a surprise here. It was a fun match with Okada working around some of Kevin's flying spots and Kevin getting Okada a bit out of his usual match. Okada's dropkick off of Kevin's springboard was nice. Okada losing here creates a 5-way tie in the Gold League.

Overall thoughts: It was a shorter 1 hour show with a decent bit of commercials. They had a better line-up than they usually do on Saturdays. It was okay overall and notable for Mone and Okada taking losses. But, there was basically nothing but wrestling here (not even an interview). I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and I thought the main was the best thing on here. I thought it was okay.
