Je'Von Evans is looking for Ricky Saints in the parking lot. Ava comes out and tries to get him to come inside.

NXT Women's North American Title - Blake Monroe (c) vs Thea Hail

Thea goes for the kimura. She snapmares BM then butt drops on her arm. Thea armbars her. BM dropkicks her then hits boots in the corner. BM spinning side slams her for 2. Thea snapmares her, kicks her in the face and standing moonsaults her for 2. Thea armdrags her off the casadora and dropkicks her out. Thea topes her. 

Thea running back elbows her and is thrown into the buckles. BM triangles her over the top rope. We go to PiP break and return. BM cobra clutches her. Thea does a headbutt, slam, rolling senton and a bottom rope backsplash for 2. Thea then pins her in what appears to be a botch and wins.

Thoughts: I don't know what happened on the finish here but it didn't look planned. It looked like Blake was either knocked out for a second or just had her arms trapped too hard and got pinned. This couldn't have been planned as Thea winning should have been a much bigger moment and instead no one was ready for it. The match was average before it ended. Thea cried when she won.

The Culling talk in their hangout. There's a doll on their stools. Izzi says Tatum can't accept defeat and needs to move on. Izzi says she corrected the mistake and they are done.

The announcers confirm Thea is the new champ.

Ethan Page comes out. He talks about getting attacked and says he's here to get answers from Tony D'Angelo. Stacks comes out with Arianna Grace. Stacks says he doesn't know what Tony's problem is and doesn't care. Stacks says Arianna has expect taste and asked for more gold (Stacks is hinting at the AAA Mixed Tag Title). Stacks says the AAA Mixed Tag Titles would look so good around their waists. 

Moose from TNA then shows up. Moose says once again an NXT Title has a TNA title. Moose says the boys in TNA p!ssed and he's here to do something about it. He says someone is going to deal with Stacks and it's his lucky day as Moose says he's focused on Ethan Page. Moose says he wants the NXT North American Title. He says Santino and Ava signed up on it and he'll challenge for it on 12/30. Page goes to hit him and gets knocked out of the ring by Moose.

Leon Slater and Je'Von Evans talk outside. Evans complains about Ricky Saints interfering in his match. Leon wants Evans to come out with him tomorrow and tries to convince him.

Hank and Tank (Hank Walker and Tank Ledger) vs OTM (Lucian Price and Bronco Nima)

Nima locks up with Tank and shoves him in the corner. Nima shoulders him over. Hank side headlocks Nima then Tank side headlocks Nima. Nima shoulders Tank over. Nima footpresses Tank double and Price knees Tank in the gut. Price corner splashes Tank and slams him. Price takes a 2 corner splash and a 2nd rope twisting shoulderblock. 

Tank yanks on Price's arm. Hank does as well. Price takes a double arm yank and a corner splash. Price flips Hank over his back and chops him. Hank takes a double back elbow for 2. Nima's head is banged off the buckles and he runs into a Hank back elbow. Price takes a double splash in the corner then a double slam.Hank and Tank hit stereo corner punches but are caught with a super collider

We go to break and return. Tank topes Nima outside. Price 2nd rope superplexes Hank. Nima and Tank trade shots. Nim splashes Tank on the ropes. Tank back elbows him then pumping knees him. Nima no sells it and spinning back elbows him. Tank then no sells it. Tank cartwheels and lariats Nima. Tank then armlocks Nima. Price uranage's Hank onto Tank.

Tank takes a double uranage backbreaker for 2. Tank then takes a double torture rack drop for 2. Tank cannonballs OTM off the apron outside. Tank top rope swantons Nima. Price is with with a sandwich bodyblock. Price superkicks Hank. Price gets knocked into Nima and Hank cradles Nima for the win.

Thoughts: It got a lot of time to play out. The crowd didn't react much early on which hurt it some but then got a little more into it as it continued. It wasn't the cleanest match ever but Tank was pretty energetic and fires up here as usual. Neither team really needed to lose this one.

Ricky Saints comes out of the car in the parking lot. He has Elijah Holyfield, Chris Island and Harley Riggins working as his bodyguards.

Jasper Troy and Ava talk in the back. JT says he should have destroyed Evans and Saints when he had the chance. Ava says another men's Speed tournament starts next week. JT says it's exciting but bad news for whoever enters as it's destruction guaranteed.

Ricky Saints comes out with his security guards. Ricky says he's not here to apologize. He says he told everyone he was bringing in The Absolute Era. He said h wanted to prove to the entire world that he can carry any brand. Ricky says he released he didn't have other options and needed to be obsessed with being #1. He says he beat Oba. He says the crowd enjoyed it but they would have rather had Evans beat Oba. He says that's why he had to check him and remind him he's not the man.

Ricky says Evans isn't better than him and asks how many titles he won. He says when he faces him, he will prove he is a class way below him. He says there's nobody else who will do what it takes to get to the top like him. Evans then bypasses security and attacks Ricky. Ricky throws Evans into the steps. Ricky roshambo's Evans through the commentary table.

Ethan Page, Ava, Zaria and Sol talk in the back. Page complains about everything. Chelsea Green and Alba Fyre talk in. Green says there's no line Ava don't cross. Ava says all the bad things happening to Green aren't her fault. Green says Page is a double champ and can do anything. Ava says Green will defend her Women's US Title vs Sol due to Sol winning at SNME.

Fatal Influence (Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid) vs WrenQCC (Wren Sinclair and Kendal Grey)

The heels attack the faces from behind. KG takes boots to the gut in the corner then a double flapjack. KG's face is banged off the mat and the buckles. Reid running euros KG in the corner. KG cradles Reid for 2. 

KG back elbows Reid, trips her and Wren holds Reid for a KG basement dropkick. KG superkicks Reid then germans her. WRen bangs Reid's face off the mat. Wren suplexes Reid. Jacy Jayne distracts Wren outside and Fallon wraps around the post and kicks Wren.

We go to break and return. Fallon sliding germans Wren then Reid springboard cutters Wren from the bottom rope. Wren tags out. KG comes in and drops the heels. She overhead belly to belly suplexes Reid. She slingshot double stomps Reid then superkicks Fallon. Reid flatliners KG into the buckles.

Reid headhunters KG then Fallon swinging facebusters KG for 2. KG gutwrench powerslams Fallon for 2. Wren backdrops Reid. KG rolling armbars Fallon. Jacy Jayne gets on the apron. KG hits Jacy. Wren dives on Jacy and Reid outside. Fallon backrolls KG for 2. KG rolling armbars Fallon and submits her.

Thoughts: It was an entertaining tag with Grey looking good and moving well. Her and Wren made for a fun team. The heels were solid as always and I thought this worked out well.

Thea Hail is interviewed. She can't believe she's the new champ and is going crazy. She said she always wanted a title and she did it today. Jordynne Grace goes up to her. She says she figured hits out faster than she did. Blake Monroe comes in. She says to give her back the title. She says she kicked out and didn't lose. Grace tells Blake to let Thea have her moment. Blake says she wants her rematch and tells her to enjoy her new muscle muffin. Thea then hugs Grace.

Izzi Dame is in the women's locker room. She says Niko Vance is missing. Lola says it's not her looking good for her boys. She says it's one down and one to go. She says she should watch her back after what she did to Tatum. Izzi says to take her own advice. Kelani Jordan then puts her gear back in the locker room. Kelani accuses her of being jealous and says maybe she'd win a title if she wasn't here. Lola says gymnastics is nothing compared to MMA.

Shiolh Hill talks to Skylar Rae in the back. Hill says it's so exciting to be here. Rae says she wanted a shot at the Women's N-A Title last week. Stacks and Arianna Grace come in and complain about Moose. Hill says mooses in Florida are rare. Stacks asks if he's stupid. Grace brings up them being in LFG. Stacks challenges them to a match and says they should find out NXT is different than LFG.

DarkState walk through. Dion's partners hype him up.

NXT Title #1 Contender's Match - Myles Borne vs Dion Lennox vs Joe Hendry vs Leon Slater

Joe seems to be in a bit better shape than usual. Dion bootes MB over. He then emerald flowsion variation's Leon. MB hits punches on Dion. MB final cuts Joe and powerslams Dion for 2. Leon running boots MB. Joe double lariats Leon and MB. Leon goes up and over and Joe shoulders him over. Joe hiptosses him.

Joe ddt's Leon for 2. Joe rolls up Dion for 2. Leon rewind kicks Dion when Joe ducks. Leon handspring back elbows Joe. Leon flips on Joe off the apron. Leon legdrops Dion over the 2nd rope then top rope crossbodies him for 2. Leon chops Dion and Dion elbows him. Leon corner euros Dion. 

Leon hits mounted corner punches on Dion. Leon 2nd rope crossbodies him for 2. Leon misses a slingshot plancha outside and hurts his knee. Dion facekicks Leon when he comes back in. MB hits punches on Dion and dropkicks him. Leon takes a 2nd rope lariat + powerbomb combo. Joe neckbreakers Dion. MB backcrackers Joe and all 4 men are down.

We go to PiP break and return. Leon spinning high kicks MB. Dion crotches Leon up top. We get a tower of doom spot with Leon powerbombing everyone down and Dion taking the superplex. Leon puts Dion in the face and forearms MB. Leon then boots everyone while they are down. MB backdrops Leon. Dion spinebusters MB and Joe germans Dion. Leon hits utopia on Joe. Leon tiger feint kicks on the outside to Dion and throws him in. Leon top rope swantons Dion. 

Leon goes up top and MB dropkicks him down. Joe suplexes MB. Joe hits punches on MB then lariats him. Joe fallaway slams MB and Dion. Joe olympic slams MB then lariats Dion over the top. Joe hits a standing ovation on MB. Joe catches Leon off the buckles and throws him onto Dion outside. Joe hits an inverted AA on MB for 2.

Dion and Joe trade shots outside. Leon top rope swanton 450's MB and pins him.

Thoughts: Wow, Leon winning here was a big shock. It was a good match with a lot of action. It was mostly 1v1's but they made it work and kept things moving. Leon seemed to have maybe hurt his knee here. This was one of Dion's biggest matches yet as a singles guy and he did fine. Joe losing just continues to show how far his star has fallen since his peak in TNA.

Oba Femi comes out and we see Tony D'Angelo watching from the top of the stands.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual action packed NXT show. They don't waste any time at all and squeeze a million different people on here. We likely got an accidental title change to start things. Hank and Tank's match took a bit to get cooking but still never got great. I liked the women's tag more than I expected and the men's four way to close this was good. I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 and I thought it was good.
