Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/12/wwe-nxt-1222025.html
We are at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Vic Joseph and Booker T are on commentary.
Oba Femi comes out to talk. He says true power doesn't bend or break, it stands still and watches the world revolve around it. He says this is true power. He says the universe found its way to correct itself when he wasn't around. He said he rose from the ashes and reclaimed his title. He says he's done with Ricky Saints. He says Cody Rhodes won't see the potential or future in him, he will see the now.
Ricky Saints comes out. He says Oba did what he said he would do. He said he's man enough to admit Oba was the better man at Deadline. he says he's Ricky Saints and says Oba has another thing coming if he thinks he will bow down and go to the back. He says he's coming for what is his. He says he's steering the universe on course. He says it's Oba 1, Ricky 1. Ricky says he gave him his shot and is demanding a rematch for the title.
Je'Von Evans comes out. He says he watched Deadline over and over. He says he won the ISC and earned a title shot at New Year's Evil. He says it made him wonder why he would wait until January to have the title match. He says he's ready right now. He says he wants to have the title match tonight.
Ricky asks what the rush? He says he could win the title and it would be a way better play. He asks if he's sure. Evans says he is always asked if he's sure. He says he's told he's the future but he says he's the right now. He says no one is touching him at the age of 21. He says he has done Raw, SD and AAA. He says if there's anyone he is putting money on tonight, it's himself.
Ricky says it's Evans' time tonight and tells him to get his. Oba says these two titleless guys are trying to tell them how to do his reign. Evans says Oba looks scared. He says Oba knows Evans has his number. Oba says he has never been afraid of him and says Evans has never beaten him. He says he has always beaten him and it will be no different tonight. Oba says it's game on.
Thoughts: Ricky kind of looked like a dork here but I liked the segment otherwise.
We see a video on Kelani Jordan and Jordynne Grace's history.
Tatum Paxley says Izzi said she would end this version of her that refused to evolve. TP says she did it and she has nothing left to lose. She says Izzi does though. She says Izzi stabbed her in the back for not playing her way. She has two dolls of Spears and Niko and says they will play her game. TP says it will be her and Izzi alone together.
We cut to the announcers and Booker says he is back.
Kelani Jordan vs Jordynne Grace
KJ runs at JG as she enters and they fight. JG lariats her down. JG shoulder spears KJ in the gut then does a thesz press with mounted shots. JG slams her twice then michinoku drivers her for 2. They slap each other.
KJ is thrown head first into the buckles. JG meteora's her from behind in the corner and misses a vader bomb. KJ dropkicks her in the knee. KJ works the leg. They fight on the apron. KJ superkicks her. JG goes knees first into the apron.
We go to break and return. JG stretch mufflers her. They go to the floor and KJ clips her. KJ tries to chair her in the leg but misses and hurts her hand. JG spinebusters her for 2. They lock legs and handstand together. They then slap each other while they do it.
JG boots her out of the corner. JG hits short arm lariats. JG backrolls her into a german for 2. KJ's head is banged off the steps. JG uses the steps to vader bomb her on the floor. JG grabs the chair. The ref takes it then KG boots JG off the steps into the rails. KJ 450's her and wins.
Thoughts: JG going through the rails just from a boot was a bit weak. They each worked the leg some here but they didn't really focus on it and the finish had little to do with it. This had a lot of different pieces that didn't create a great puzzle.
Jordynne Grace complains to the other girls in the locker room. Thea Hail comes in. She says it's not the time to doubt herself but the time to believe in herself. She says she can be where she wants as she is Jordynne Grace. She asks if she's really getting advice from a 16 year old. Thea says she's been here since she's 18 and she's 22 now. She says she has to go for the open challenge.
Blake Monroe comes out for her open challenge. She says she knows how much the women in the back idolize her and look at her as a role model. She says who doesn't want some glamour in their lives? She says she has decided to host an open challenge and says let's see which lady gets the opportunity of a lifetime.
A dozen girls come out and security try to stop them. Thea Hail then hops on Blake with a kimura and Blake taps out. Thea goes nuts though there was no official match that ever started here. The announcers say this never got started as we cut away.
Shiloh Hill is interviewed. He says he's excited but nervous. He talks about what being nervous is. He says he gets to go smash mouth on Lexis King and show why no one sleeps on him. He then puts his fake tooth in.
Lexis King vs Shiloh Hill
King runs at Hill as he poses and Hill sends him out. Hill hits punches and bangs his head off the commentary table. Hill rams King into the buckles and throws him. Hill sliding lariats him. Hill is pulled face first into the 2nd buckle and takes a low dropkick for 2. King chops him.
King knees him in the gut and kicks him in the back. King foot chokes him in the corner. King running lariats him. Hill pulls out his mouthguard with the tooth. He hits punches and hits lariats on King. Hill hits a shake, rattle and roll for 2. King superkicks him and Hill fires up. Hill tells him to come on and back body drops King. Hill backdrop neckbreakers him and pins him.
Thoughts: It was a shorter bout here. Both guys got a chance to do offense and Hill won. Hill was pretty hyped up and the crowd cheered for him some so this worked. I can't say I'm sold on this gimmick so we'll see how things go.
Oba Femi is interviewed. Oba says when you are the champ, you expect the unexpected. He says surprises always end with gold hoisted above his head. He says he hopes Cody Rhodes is watching as he doesn't know what he is capable of. He says Cody says he carries this place but asks what Cody will do when he carries him into the ground. He says he will break the iron survivor then break The American Nightmare.

He says he used trial and error and used warm bodies here. He says today wrestlers are obsessed with social media and are trying to get their finger point photo with their favorite child athlete.
He says we will watch Cena have his last match in a few days and walk away for good. He says Cena will become a distant memory a week later and leave a void to be filled by a man with a giant ego. He says when he couldn't find a path back to the NXT Title, he found the North American Title and made it into the most prestigious prize in NXT. He then talks about winning the AAA Mixed Tag Titles.
He says 3 days are most important to everyone in the world - the day you are born, the day you die and the day you realize Ethan Page is the biggest star WWE has to offer. He says NXT will be fine under his supervision.
We then see a video on Tony D'Angelo walking. Tony appears behind Page and spinebusters him.
Darkstate talk in the back and then Dion Lennox talks to Ava/Borne/Hendry/Leon Slater. Ava says the winner of Evans/Oba needs a challenger for New Years Evil. Ava says they all tied for 2nd in the ISC so they will fight for the title shot. Ethan Page comes in and asks Ava what is going on with Tony D. Borne then asks who is behind him and he gets scared.
Wren Sinclair vs Sol Ruca
They lock up. Sol blocks a snapmare. Wren pulls her down then does calf crusher on her. Sol grabs a headlock to break it. Wren rolls her up for 2. Sol facebusters her for 2. We see Zaria watching in the crowd and Sol gets distracted looking at her.

Wren hits chops and double underhook suplexes her. Sol goes up and over then does a backcracker with her feet. Sol then pins her with a sol snatcher.
Thoughts: It was a short one here. Wren worked the leg a little, didn't get too far then got put down as expected.
Zar teases coming down after but walks away. Sol jumps the rail to go catch her in the stands.
Fatal Influence come out to talk with Wren and Kendal Grey in the ring. Jacy says Grey is living the Cinderella story and says she should be proud of herself from going from a nobody to the Iron Survivor. She says this is as good as it's gonna get. She says her reality will smack her in the face at New Year's Evil as her 15 minutes of fame will be up when she loses. She says she will start her downward spiral and the people will move on to the next flavor of the month. She says potential doesn't win titles.
She says holding the Evolve Title is one thing but the NXT Title is a whole new level. She says she may have spent one year making a name for herself but she owned this year. She says 2025 was the year of Jacy Jayne. She says she went from being overlooked to being on top of the deepest women's division. She said she also made history in holding the NXT/TNA Titles at the same time. She says everyone realized that she is a rockstar in the ring and the glue that holds this foundation together. She asks in what world will she let a flash in the pan, bootleg Kurt Angle with a pony tail steal her spotlight? She says she doesn't stand a chance in hell at beating her.
Grey says Jacy had momentum this year but she does too. Grey says she has a lot to learn. She says no one expected her to win iron survivor but she did. She says no one expects her to beat Jacy but no one expected Jacy to beat Vaquer either. Grey says she showed she can rise to the occasion. She tells Jacy to take their match for a joke if he she wants but says the best part of being an underdog is watching the face people make when the underdog bites back.
Jacy says Grey won one match and she thinks she can hang in the ring with her. Wren says the WrenQCC is just getting started but maybe they will win Jacy's title then Fallon's and make a clean sweep. Fallon says they will show this rookie where she belongs. Gallon and Reid then hit Grey and Wren. They fight back and Reid superkicks Wren.

Sol talks to Zaria in the parking lot. Sol asks her to accompany her at SNME. They both apologize and hug.
We see clips of Stacks winning the TNA International Title at Final Resolution.

Evans bounces off the ropes and is hit with a flying euro. Oba throws him across the ring. Oba pops him up and Evans cutters him. Evans double jump springboard cutters him off the buckles. Evans goes for the pin and Ricky Saints pulls the ref out. Evans topes Ricky.
Evan corkscrew kicks Oba off the ropes. Oba lariats him and hits running corner euros. Oba sitout powerbombs Evans and wins.
Thoughts: Oba should have been DQ'd for Ricky pulling the ref out. Ricky doing that though is definitely going to lead to something. It was a solid match with Evans doing his flying and Oba running him over and swatting him down. The crowd was really into it and they sold the idea of Evans winning hard. Had Oba not just won the title, I would have bought into it a little more.
Overall thoughts: The main was really the only thing worth seeing wrestling wise here. We didn't really get the open challenge tonight with Blake as promised, but at least we will get it next week. Shiloh Hill made his official NXT debut and was pretty fired up, though I'm still iffy on how well this version of him will do. We then had a good main event. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 total, mostly for the main. The show was okay overall.
