Actwres girl'Z 5/19/2022 ACTwrestling Step 6

Oh it's AWG again. They broke-up or rebranded at the end of 2021. The better workers started finding work elsewhere, some just flat out quit and somehow, they managed to find a whole bunch of new girls to replace them. I have no idea how this promotion is able to constantly find new talent when everyone else struggles to do so, but I wish more promotions could do so.

This is some of the first footage that has made it onto the puroresu channels, even though they have a VOD service. I have not seen most of these girls before and I doubt anyone else has either.

Naru & Sakura Mizushima vs. Kyoka Iwai & Natsuki

夏葵＆岩井杏加 vs なる＆水嶋さくら

 

Naru comes out with a pacifier and is in the pink and black. Sakura has one of those ribbon on a stick things from the Olympics and is in pink and white. Iwai's in the red and Natsuki is in the orange and white.

Natsuki bangs Sakura's head off the buckles and hits back kicks. Iwai knee drops and slams Sakura, then steps on her face. Sakura gets a dropkick in and tags out. Naru slams Natsuki then throws her around the ring. Naru bangs her head off the mat for 2 then takes a double elbow drop after a nice Natsuki leg sweep. Natsuki and Iwai then pose on Naru in the corner.

Naru ddt's Iwai then Sakura dropkicks Iwai. Sakura hits a low crossbody on her then Iwai dropkicks her.  Sakura bridges out of a pin and hits another dropkick. She then slams her and indian deathlocks her. Iwai comes back with a stunner on her then Natsuki PK's her for 2. Natsuki then puts her in the texas cloverleaf.

Naru comes in and hits some dropkicks and Natsuki double stomps her. Natsuki and Naru trade kicks for chest forearms then Naru flurries her with chest forearms.  Natsuki then flurries her with low kicks before getting ankle locked. Natsuki hits a stiff high knee then top rope double stomps her for 2.

Natsuki high kicks her then Naru knee dropkicks her and they try pin attempts. Sakura 2nd rope crossbodies Iwai then Naru spears Natsuki for the win.

These girls are all in their first year and it wasn't a bad effort at all. They are green, but they didn't mess anything up and put out a good effort. Naru seems to be the best one of the bunch as some type of brat character and if Natsuki can make her kicks come across as more natural, maybe something can be done there.

Mii, Nagisa Shiotsuki & Riko Fukunaga vs. Allen, Naho Yamada & Nene Arahata

未依＆汐月なぎさ＆福永莉子 vs 荒幡寧々＆アレン＆山田奈保

Naho comes out with a megaphone, headphones and wears blue. Allen wears blue and black and carries an umbrella, and no, Allen is not a dude or a tranny. Nene wears a yokosuka bomber/sakujan black jacket. Riko wears gray and faded blue. Nagisa has longer black hair and wears blue and white. Mii, who we have seen before, wears a light blue dress. Everyone is wearing some shade of blue here for maxmimum confusion.

Evryone happily shakes hands to start. Naho tries to use her megaphone while on the apron. Allen and Riko go at it and Allen dropkicks her then Nagisa trips Allen into a Riko dropkick. Nene slams Nagisa then Nagisa hits a chop flurry on Nene. Riko dropkicks Nagisa then Riko trades kicks for frearms with Nene.

Nene takes a double team and a senton from Nagisa for 2. Mii comes in with her teddy bear and nails Nene with it then axe kicks Naho's back. Mii monkey flips Naho then Naho figure fours her. Naho then dropkicks Mii against the ropes for 2. Naho chest forearm flurries Mii then stunners her. Mii then crossbodies her.

Naho bodyscissors Mii and rolls her then Mii hits a reverse brazilian kick for 2. Allen ddt's Mii. Mii hits a nice axe kick on Naho then double stomps her from the 2nd rope for 2. Mii then top rope crossbodies Nene then rolling headscissors her. She then sits on her back and pulls her arms backwards over her head to win it.

Mii gives Nene her megaphone after.

It went about 9:44. Mii and Nene did the majority of the work here. It wasn't great or anything but Mii is a fun character and it wasn't that bad for having such inexperienced wrestlers. I'm not sure how much some of the girls really got in here.

Wild Bunny vs ASAMI

ワイルド・バニー vs ASAMI 

Asami wears all white and is quite pretty. Wild Bunny is the former Act Yasukawa who got shoot beaten up by Yoshiko in Stardom years ago.

Asami hits some bad kicks early and they get off to a slow start. Asami kicks her leg and Bunny dares her to do it again and again. Bunny then steps on her foot. She misses a dropkick and gets an stf. Asami stands on her ankle on the rope and Bunny starts to hobble.

Bunny hits some dropkicks then Asami thrust kicks her in the chest. Asami does some bad coconut crushes then they trade forearms. Asami axe kicks her back then legdrops her. Asami does a bad buzzsaw kick for 2 then drops her with a high kick. Bunny rolls her up for 2. Bunny blocks a kick, puts her leg over her head and rolls forward to win it.

This wasn't good. Asami does all kicks and she isn't good at it at all. If she doesn't hold back and kicks harder, maybe they will look better, but she has a very long way to go if she can't even do kicks right.

Mari & Marino Saihara vs. Ayano Irie & Haruka Ishikawa

茉莉＆才原茉莉乃 vs 入江彩乃＆石川はるか

Irie is in the white, pink and black dress. Haruka is in the red and purple. Marino is in the brown and gold and Mari is in the red and blue.

Marino slams Haruka early then Marino and Mari sit on Hruka's back and pull her hair. Haruka takes some kicks from Mari and screams loud of them. Haruka fires back with forearms then takes more hard Mari kicks. Marino slams Haruka then Haruka rolls her up for 2.

Irie dropkicks Marino then crabs her but Marino ropebreaks. Marino then dropkicks her against the ropes then Haruka fights off an armbar attempt but ends up taking it and rope breaking. Marino dropkicks Irie and back body drops her for 2. Irie stunners her then Marino comes back with a shoulder throw.

Mari and Irie fight over a rocking chair hold and Mari gets it on her. Mari high kicks her then gets rolled up multiple times for 2. Haurka gets in and dropkicks Mari then forearm flurries her chest. Mari chest kicks her for 2. Irie grabs Mari on the ropes and Haruka dropkicks Mari while she is stuck there.

Mari runs after Haruka but takes a surprise lariat from Irie then Haruka sentons Mari for 2. Haruka then crabs her and Mari sideslams her. Mari gets thrown into the ropes and holds on, leaving Irie and Haruka confused. Marino then attacks the two and Mari cartwheel splashes Haruka. Mari then samoan drops Haruka for the win.

It went longer than it needed to but it was simple stuff and they didn't make a lot of mistakes. It was really okay enough at times, just it wasn't great or anything.

Miku Aono & Natsumi Sumikawa vs. Kouki & Misa Matsui

青野未来＆澄川菜摘 vs 松井珠紗＆皇希

Sumikawa is the former Natsumi Showzuki of Stardom. She retured in 2013, took part in a battle royale and came to AWG full time in November 2021. Miku and Misa have been around everywhere.

Natsumi and Misa wrestle to start. Natsumi tries to tag in but Misa stops her. Kouki picks up Misa for a dropkick on Natsumi then Misa jumps off Kouki's back for a double stomp. Kouki then falling splashes Natsumi. Miku slams Kouki then camel clutches her while Natsumi gets a free kick in. Kouki then gets put between the ropes and takes kicks from both opponents.

Miku and Natsumi then sandwich kick Kouki. Kouki comes back with a boot on Miku then Misa 2nd rope crossbodies Miku. Miku slams Misa and back kicks her. Miku kicks Misa then does a suplex on her. Natsumi gets in and dropkicks Misa then kicks her hard in the back. Natsumi then bottom rope springboard kneedrops her. Misa octopus stretches Natsumi then Natsumi gives it to her. Natsumi then does it to her over the middle rope.

Misa crossbodies Natsumi hard against the bottom rope then does an arm and leg clutch northern lights suplex. Natsumi then fisherman suplexes Misa and Misa comes back with a headbutt that drops her too. Miku and Kouki lariat battle and Kouki face kicks her multiple times. Kouki boston crabs her then Miku hits some kicks. Miku then does a nice grounded sharpshooter-esque move and Misa flying knees her. Misa and Kouki then dogpile splash Miku.

Kouki hits a dominator on Miku then misses a 180 splash. Misa then top rope crossbodies Miku. Miku gets pulled down from the top rope then hits two dropkicks on Kouki, with one being against the ropes. Miku then high kicks Kouki and hits a top rope dropkick for 2. Miku lariats Kouki and wins it.

In-ring wise, this was by far the best thing on the show. These girls are a step above some of the other talent. It was okay but it went long and wasn't particularly special, just it came off better then the work before it was so much simpler.

Overall thoughts: I had zero expectations going in. It wasn't great or anything but nobody embarrassed themselves and there weren't any bad botches despite having a lot of green talent. It was far from the worst thing I've ever seen and as a whole it was fine for their levels of experience.
