WWE NXT Level Up 5/13/2022

Sanga vs Dante Chen

The finish

They go for each others arms early. Sanga catches a crossbody but gets armlocked. Sanga sideslams him then steps over the top rope and stands on him. Sanga then hits a big euro uppercut on the outside.

Sanga puts him in something like a million dollar dream and misses an elbow.Chen comes back with euro uppercuts and a ddt. He then pump kicks him for 2 and hits some dropkicks. Sanga hits a nasty lariat then hits a big chokeslam to win it.

It was a very simple match. Sanga isn't great or anything but was he was okay enough as a big man here.

Thea Hail vs Elektra Lopez

The finish

Lopez backs her up and face shoves her then Lopez shoulder blocks her. Thea comes back with dropkicks and takes a swinging side slam. Lopez stomps on her and legdrops her arm. Lopez does a chin and arm lock then sits on her back with a hammerlock variation.

Thea backdrops her over then sits on her back and rolls her up in the corner. Thea misses a dropkick then takes a blue thunder bomb for the Lopez win.

As usual, Lopez didn't really show much and Thea didn't exactly impress. Both are limited girls but at least Thea seems to have some kind of personality to her. I'm still not sure what WWE sees in Lopez.

Trick Williams vs Javier Bernal

Trick does a standing backflip out of a wristlock and kips up. Trick is over as a face here. Bernal trips him and walks on his back then hiptosses and armdrags him. Trick avoids an armdrag then poses then gets another one. Trick does a nice cartwheel out of a monkey flip. JB jumps up for something then Trick dropkicks him in mid-air.

Trick hits a punch to the gut then an uppercut. He then flying clotheslines him. Trick flapjacks him then plants into a bad kick. Trick does a version of the octopus stretch on him  and gets lifted up. JB does some bad STO/chin breaker and hits a dropkick.

He russian legsweeps Trick then sliding lariats him for 2. Trick does a super stiff corkscrew kick and wins it.

Both guys were green and a little sloppy here but this was Trick's best outing yet. He showed a lot of athleticism we hadn't seen before and as soon as he can get a little more experience in the ring, he should have a real bright future ahead.

Overall thoughts: There wasn't anything must see or anything. Trick showed some promise in his match and Sanga was fine in his.
