Booker T and Vic Joseph are on commentary. 

Joe Hendry's music hits. We see Joe in the back and see The Vanity Project over top of him with a chair. Ava comes in. The Project says they didn't do it. Ava calls for medical.

We see Tony D'Angelo being walked in by security. Ricky Saints is at the commentary table and talks to Vic Joseph and Booker T.

WWE NXT Tag Titles - Darkstate (Sayquon Shugars and Osiris Griffin) vs OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucian Price)

Cutler James is with Darkstate. SS and Nima go at it. SS backs him up in the corner and piefaces him. SS is thrown into the corner. He tries to evade Nima and can't. SS is headbutted down by Price. SS jawbreakers Price. OG gets in and he shoulderblock battles with Price. OG running facekicks him. Nima hiptosses OG then SS takes a double pop-up drop. OG then takes a double pop-up drop. Darkstate goes out. 

Nima is hit from behind by OG then OG suplexes him. Hank and Tank are watching this in the back. OG takes a double facekick for 2. SS wristlocks Nima. SS boots him out of the corner. Price slams OG and SS. 

Nima hits OG in the gut then misses an elbow drop. SS comes in and Nima shoulders him over. Nima suplexes him twice. OG rams Nima into the corner and SS corner dropkicks Nima while he's there. Nima suplexes OG. Nima gorilla press throws SS out onto Cutler. Nima then rides OG on the 2nd rope.

We go to PiP break and return. Nima fights out of the corner and hits shots on OG. We are told Joe Hendry was sent to the hospital. OG knees Nima in the face then Nima takes a neckbreaker + backdrop combo. SS dragon screws Nima. OG misses a slingshot splash on Nima then Nima back body drops SS over the post. 

Nima and OC crossbody each other at the same time. Price gets in and hits lariats on Darkstate. Price flips SS and chops him. Price hits corner lariats then boots OG away. Price uranage's SS onto OG's back for 2. 

The Vanity Project run past Hank and Tank in the back and Hank and Tank follow. The Project then come out. Price hits Brad and SS rolls up Price to win.

Thoughts: It may have been the longest match we have seen out of OTM. They are still a little rough around the edges but it was okay. OG and Price going at it was fun and Darkstate did some really creative tag team spots here. 

Hank and Tank come out to argue with The Project. OTM join in then Chase U join in. Darkstate celebrate in the ring and get jumped by The Culling. OG is lifted for a double ddt.

Blake Monroe mocks Jadia Parker in the locker room. Nikkita Lyons then sings Blake's name and dances. Lyons says she knows Blake has been through so much. Lyons says she will face Jaida so Blake doesn't have to. Blake asks how she repays her. Lyons says to call her Nikkita the Saint.

Jaida Parker vs Nikkita Lyons

NL shoulder throws her then JP shoulder throws her. JP yanks on the arm and hits short arm shoulders on her. JP armlocks her. NL tries a shoulder throw but JP rolls through and side headlocks her. JP wristlocks her then lariats her down for 2. 

NL back elbows her then spin kicks her down. NL hits mounted forearms. NL superman punches her in the corner and bangs her headoff the buckles. NL stands on her then does a split leg drop on her.

NL chest forearms her down. NL fisherman suplexes her. NL tiger drivers her for 2. NL chin and armlocks her. JP hits shots to the gut and they trade strikes. JP short arm lariats her then shoulders her over. JP spinebusters her. NL is laid on the 2nd rope and JP step up butt drops her down. JP running hip attacks her. JP then does a sitout bomb on her and pins her.

Thoughts: It got enough time but wasn't anything too great. NL did a whole bunch of different offense compared to what she used to do. 

Blake Monroe is on the tron in her house. She says that performance wasn't glamorous. She says no one takes the spotlight from her and gets away with it. She says she will see JP soon. JP tells her that she knows where to find her.

We see Tavion, Eli and Elio talk in the back earlier. Tav says it's a shark tank around here and to be ready for anything. Lexis King, Arianna Grace and Stacks come in. King says not to take advice from Tav unless you are an amateur wrestler. King says Tav squandered all his opportunities while him and Grace had a birthright to be here. Tav threatens him and it gets broken up. 

The Elegance Brand talk. George says ZaRuca won and get a shot at the Knockouts Tag Titles. Heather says Sol tried to steal the spotlight from Zaria at Genesis. They says Zaria then tried to stand tall by herself. Ash says they are make friends. George says they have beauty, class and are healthy. George says they will never lose the Knockouts Tag Titles and will keep them forever.

Zaria is talking to Sol Ruca on the phone. She asks where she is then gets mad. Thea Hail comes in and asks where Sol is. She says friends around here come and go. She says she can't tell who is who. Zaria asks if she is complaining and says she stumbled upon a title. Thea says she earned it. They argue and Thea says she has a problem with anyone who says she didn't earn her title. Zaria says she will see her later.

Myles Borne and Ethan Page talk. Page says it's another chance for the world to find out who he is. He says Dion doesn't care about the rules and that's why Darkstate has gold. Page tells him to do what he needs to do by any means necessary. Borne tells him not to worry about he handles his business. Ricky Saints comes in and has some words. Borne says he will drop him if he sees him out there. Ricky says he won't be there. Page says Borne's anger is incredible and gets a kick out of it.

Ava is on the phone. The Vanity Project come in and ask how Joe is. Ava says he's not cleared and says she knows they attacked Joe. She asks if she should rip up their contracts. The Project says she can't prove it was them. Ava says she can't prove it. She says Drake is in the ladder match. She says if Joe is cleared, he's also in the ladder match.

NXT Title Ladder Match Qualifier - Dion Lennox vs Myles Borne

They lock up. MB side headlocks him then shoulders him over. They botch a spot and MB takes a running knee to the head. Dion side headlock takeovers him. MB headscissors him. MB side headlocks him. Dion cradles him for 2 then rolls him up for 2. Dion backslides him for 2 then MB dropkicks him.

Dion corner splashes him twice for 2. MB goes up and over for 2 then cradles him for 2. They trade punches. Dion corner splashes him then misses one. MB flying euros him in the corners. Dion lariats him out of the corner then lariats him over the top. 

Ethan Page comes out. MB throws Dion into the steps. Page claps for MB. MB stares angrily at him. We go to PiP break and return. Dion back elbows MB. Dion misses a corner charge and MB germans him for 2. Dion cravates him and is powerslammed off of it. They trade punches. MB forearms him down and dropkicks him. MB flying knees him. MB backdrops him. Dion tries to pin him using the ropes but is caught. Dion eye rakes him then MB lariats Dion. Page throws a title belt and tells MB to use it. The ref takes it from MB. Dion emerald flowsion's MB and pins him.

Thoughts: They didn't quite capture the flow here like they should have. I think there were too many corner moves and kick outs that hurt some of the tempo. Page getting involved was a twist and should lead to something with him and Borne.

Page yells at MB in the ring for not listening. Page says he will never win the title if he doesn't take his advice. MB grabs the belt and nails him. 

Tony D'Angelo is walked into Ava's office. Ricky Saints is in there talking about Keanu Carver. Ricky says he heard a lot about Tony and tells Ava to make sure nobody ruins his moment in the ladder match. 

Tony asks Ava why she bailed him out. Ava says NXT needs him. Ava says Page and Ricky are in it for themselves. Ava asks if Tony is in or out. Tony said he had to get her attention and will let everyone know his intentions next week. He says this isn't the same Tony D'Angelo. Ava tells him not to get involved in the ladder match.

Chase U argue in the back. Chase asks what that was about. Uriah says everyone is taking their opportunities. He says they listened to him and look where it got them. Chase says he can qualify tonight against Keanu and doesn't have time to listen to this.

Lexis King goes up to Uriah. He says he's glad he's been listening and says Uriah's father should be proud. King says his dad would be.

Lexis King vs Tavion Heights

Tav capture suplexes him for 2. King pulls Tav's throat over the top. King springboard lariats him. Tav lifts him and powerslams him for 2. Tav spears King in the corner and hits punches. Tav back elbows him then is rolled out of the ring. King running boots him outside. King sends him into the rails. King then superkicks him. Stacks and Arianna Grace come out. King piefaces Tav.

They trade chops for forearms. Tav flying forearms him and slingblades him. King upkicks him. Tav fireman's carry throws him. Tav karelin's lifts him. Tav lariats him against the ropes. Tav lariats him against the ropes again and rolls out to the floor. 

Tav misses a slingshot. King hits a coronation neckbreaker and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't too great. Tav took a wild bump to the outside while doing a lariat on the ropes. King looked a little more comfortable than usual.I'm curious to see what they do with Tav. This role is not really doing that much for him.

King says this is just the beginning after as he puts his arms on Grace and Stacks. He talks but we cut away.

We get an NXT Origins video with Finn Balor. He talks about how NXT turned him into a superstar. Finn says NXT was some of his happiest years.

Zaria vs Thea Hail

Zar comes out alone. Izzi Dame is on commentary for this.

Zar hits forearms. Thea jumps on her and is thrown off. Zar shoulders her over. Thea side headlock takeovers her. Thea keeps the hold on. Thea casadora armdrags her then side headlocks her. 

Zar running back elbows her. Thea running dropkicks her. Thea then topes her outside. Thea is dropped throat first on the ropes and Zar pump kicks her. We go to PiP break and return.

Zar hits corner spears. Zar knees her off the bottom rope. Zar hanging chokes her from the 2nd rope. Zar comes off the 2nd rope and Thea codebreakers her arm. Thea hits a flying crossbody then running back elbows her in the corner. 

Thea superkicks her in the gut and flipping neckbreakers her for 2. Thea struggles to slam Zar. Thea shakes the ropes and jumps into a backdrop from Zar. Thea takes her down and kimura's her. Zar back body drops her then spears her. Thea ddt's Zar from the fireman's carry position and both end up going down.

Tatum Paxley then jumps on Izzi at commentary. She chases through the ring. Zar is distracted and Thea rolls her up to win.

Thoughts: Eh, it wasn't that good for a match. These two aren't NXT's better workers and it didn't impress. Thea got her mouth busted open a little here. 

Zar and Thea shake hands. Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley come out. Zar wants to fight them. Thea says she has her back. Zar F-5's Thea. Fatal Influence then back away.

Charlie Dempsey talks to Kendal and Wren in the back. Wren accuses him of negative over last week's match. Wren says they didn't get pinned. Wren tries to ask Grey to back her up. Grey says she's in her own world. She says she thinks she can beat Jacy for the title. Lexis, Grace and Stacks come in and want to talk to Charlie Dempsey. Grace says Dempsey is one of them.

NXT Title Ladder Match Qualifier - Keanu Carver vs Andre Chase

KC has a nose protector on. He hits facekicks on KC. KC lariats him down and hits corner spears. AC is on the 2nd rope and is thrown down to the floor. KC takes the nose protector off and bangs AC's head off the apron. KC crossfaces AC against the post.

KC bangs AC's face off the mat and top rope. KC back elbows him. KC bangs his face off the top rope. AC hits shots and is knee'd in the gut. KC suplexes him for 2. KC knee drops AC.

KC misses a knee drop. AC bangs KC's leg off his shoulder. AC hits leg kicks and chops. KC blocks a russian legsweep and his AC in the head. AC 2nd rope tornado ddt's KC. AC top rope crossbodies him for 2. KC rams AC's back into the apron then AC spears KC over the commentary table.

KC jumps up to the commentary table and backdrops AC on it. KC hits an enka otoshi variation and pins AC.

Thoughts: AC got more offense in than expected. I don't know if that was the right call. KC was pretty vicious here as he was banging AC's face off the ropes. I liked the spot where he jumped up to the commentary table.

KC bangs AC's face off the buckles then off the exposed buckle. KC stomps AC's face into the steps. Doctors and officials then check on AC.

KC gets on the mic after. He says he's going to take everyone in the ladder match and says to come see him if you have a problem.

The ladder match participants talk in the back. Hill is excited and says he will get a ladder. Saints says he doesn't even need a ladder.

We get a video on some of the history of the NXT Title. The video then talks about the ladder match for the title.

The ladder match participants talk in the ring. Hill says what Keanu did might scare people but it hyped him up. He says a ladder match is perfect for him. Dion complains about his yapping. Dion says nobody drops bodies than Darkstate. Dion says you are out of your mind if you think you are jumping him for that title. Sean Legacy says what if he is? He says he's been hoping for an opportunity and has nothing to lose. He says it's the biggest opportunity of his life. He says he can be crazy and reckless. Jackson Drake says that is why he will choke. Drake says he's calculated and didn't have to break a sweat to get in. He says he will put himself on the map next week. 

Drake says Joe Hendry had an unfortunate injury but all of them can say they were part of history and watched him becoming the youngest double champ. Ricky Saints comes out and climbs a ladder. Saints says the view from the top of the ladder is beautiful. He says he sees a lot of future champs and they are the seeds that haven't sprouted. He says he's built to be the 2x NXT champ. Keanu says they are doing too much talking and don't have to wait. Everyone starts fighting. Saints hits Keanu with a ladder then climbs the ladder and touches the NXT Title. Joe Hendry then comes out. Joe then hits a standing ovation on Saints. Keanu gets behind Joe and hits his enka otoshi variation. 

Overall thoughts: I can't say I was a big fan of this episode. They did the best they could to build up the ladder match and we had a lot going on as usual. Nothing was that great here though and a lot of stars were missing here for unknown reasons. I didn't think it was awful or anything but people had chances to step up and didn't. But that's NXT - this is development and these people are developing and there will be bumps along the way. They are doing a good job of putting over Keanu as a best though and all of the pushing of new wrestlers should pay off down the line. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 total and thought it was average to okay only.
