WWE NXT UK Title Tournament Semifinals - Trent Seven vs Oliver Carter

Trent does an inset promo. He says it has bene his destiny since Day 1 to be the NXT UK champ. He said a one legged man will not stand in his way. Carter's limping and does an inset promo and says nothing motivates him like becoming the NXT UK champ.

 

Trent goes for the leg early then OC throws him out and plancha's him. Trent kicks him in the leg as he re-enters the ring then dragon screws him over the 2nd rope. Trent slams him and kicks him in the knee. Trent hits another slam, knocking his knee off the bottom rope then Trent butt drops the leg over the rope.

Trent tries it again but OC moves and rolls him up. Trent leg kicks him and hits a hard chop. Trent drops his knee down over the back of OC's leg as it is over the 2nd rope. Trent drops his knee over his knee then OC chops him. Trent kicks him in the knee then bangs the knee off the mat. OC comes back with forearms then lariats him. OC flips into a kick on him then asai moonsaults him for 2. Trent dragon suplexes him then does an emerald flowsion for 2.

OC forearms and superkicks him then 2nd rope dropkicks him. OC axe kicks him and his leg gives out. OC rolls him up for 2 then Trent hits him in the knee. Trent then does a figure four variation and they slap each other while doing it. OC then taps out.

Pretty good match here with Trent working the knee leading up to the figure four variation finish.  

Noam Dar is warming up in the back.

Joe Coffey is warming up in the back and Mark shakes hands with him.

WWE NXT UK Title Tournament Semifinals - Tyler Bate vs Joe Coffey

Bate does an inset promo. He says he comes one step closer to becoming champ again and getting his hands on Trent Seven. Trent does an inset and says Bate is against a man made of iron. He says this is his kingdom.

Bate wristlocks him then Joe rolls and kips up to get out. Joe rolls him up then cartwheels. Joe blocks a snapmare and armdrags Bate. Joe blocks Bate's shoulderblocks then Bate dropkicks him. Bate flips him from behind for 2 then Joe flying battering rams him. Joe backbreakers him for 2. Bate is on Joe's shoulders and rolls him up then Joe crossbodies him for 2. Joe bearhugs him then Bate airplane spins him. Joe rolls out and rolls him up for 2. Bate sunset flips him and Joe giant swings him.

They trade punches him and forearms and Joe punch combos him. Bate hits a big right hand then 2nd rope euros him. Bate exploders him then running SSP's him for 2. Joe belly to belly suplexes him. Bate goes for a 2nd rope move but is caught and german suplexed. Joe crabs him then they trade strikes. Bate is popped up into the buckle then Joe double jump twisting crossbodies him.

They collide with lariats and Joe chest headbutts him. Bate rebounds then Joe spinning lariats him. Joe punches him then Bate koppo kicks him. Joe pops him up then Bate backslides him to win it.

Not a ton of story here or anything, but it was a solid wrestling match with some hard shots and the two working well together.

Trent Seven comes out after. Bate sits on the rope to invite him in then Trent backs off. They then talk trash next to the title.

Sid Scala does a promo. He says next week, we will see Blair Davenport vs Isla Dawn vs Amale vs Eliza Alexander in a 4 way elimination match to find a #1 Contender for the NXT UK Women's title. Maybe next week isn't the last ep?

We are told that NXT Europe is coming in 2023. They say the response for it has been overwhelming. They promise to bring us the best in sports and entertainment and Nigel talks about being proud of NXT UK.

NXT UK Heritage Cup - Mark Coffey (c) vs Noam Dar

There has been no mention of the Heritage Cup for Worlds Collide so this may be the final match for it.

1st Round - Dar takes him down by the wrist then Mark headlocks him. Mark takes him down and flying euros him. Mark armdrags him and the time is up.

2nd Round - Dar armdrags him then Mark armdrags him. Dar trips him and headlocks him. Dar snapmares him then kicks him in the chest. They collide shoulders and Mark shoulders him over. Dar elbows him on top of the head and hits a stiff running lariat from the side. Dar hits some stomps on him and the time expires.

3rd Round - Mark hits a lariat and a shoulder then throws him from his shoulder. Dar misses a spinning high kick then uraken's him off of it. Mark rolls him up then sliding d's him for the fall. Dar is out.

4th Round - Mark hits a euro early and hip attacks him. Dar rolls out. Mark forearms him and Dar drops then Dar rolls him up into a leglock. Mark taps out and we are tied at one fall a piece.

5th Round - Mark misses a corner charge then sledgehammers Dar. Mark bulldogs Dar and Dar rolls out of his gator lock attempt. Dar tries to armbar him but is rolled on then Dar spinning back elbows him for 2. Dar goes up top and kicks Mark off the 2nd rope. Dar leg kicks and high kicks him then leg bars him. Dar kneebars him and heel hooks him. The time then runs out as Mark misses a punch.

6th Round - They trade forearms and hit lariats at the same time. Dar jumps on him for a guillotine then elbows him on the head. Mark hits a huge lariat then half-nelson bombs him. Dar rolls to the apron and Mark sliding d's him to send him out. Mark throws him back in and Sha Samuels comes to ringside and pushes him into the post. Dar step up enzugiri's him and wins it.

They didn't get done much in the first few falls. Dar then started heeling it up some and did a good job wiht it. Sha coming out to help him was a nice twist, though it does suck that this may be how the last Heritage Cup match ends. Dar winning was the right call. He has carried the Heritage Cup and it's right that he goes out as the final champ.

Dar and Sha take the ribbons off the Cup then kiss it. They celebrate with the Cup after

Overall thoughts: A good episode of NXT UK with all of the matches being at least decent.

Chris Jericho comes out and brings out Daniel Garcia. Jericho asks Garcia for an apology. Garcia talks about how special it was to be in there with Danielson. He said he dreamt about it and Garcia says Jericho ruined the moment for him. Jericho says the is the greatest technical sports entertainer and says he knows deep inside he is a sports entertainer and not a wrestler.

Bryan Danielson comes out and says Jericho is trying to bully him. Danielson says Garcia is a wrestler. Jericho tells him he is a sports entertainer. Garcia says he can't make this decision right now and tells Jericho to leave him alone. Jericho grabs him and Garcia pushes him down. Danielson says he isn't the biggest fan of sports entertainment, but says that was entertaining. Jericho says it bothers him that people say Danielson is the best wrestler in the world. Jericho said he has been around for 15 years and hasn't seen it once. Jericho says he knows more about wrestling than he does and then asks him who his mentor, Stu Hart and his hero Owen Hart, would say is the better wrestler between them. Bryan asks who would win that match. Jericho agrees to it on September 4th at All Out. Jericho tells him to watch out then Hager nails Danielson from behind him and leaves him laying.

The Garcia stuff was kind of weird since he calls himself a sports entertainer all the time, but they tried and I think they succeeded to make an interesting segment. I feel like Jericho/Bryan is a hot shot though since it's a big match and this is not the best build for it.

Jay Lethal vs Dax Harwood

Dax hiptosses him early then is armdragged. Dax headlock takeovers him, takes a headscissors and they stand off. Lethal hiptosses him into a cartwheel and dropkick. The two chop each other and Dax back body drops him. Lethal 2nd rope russian legsweeps him and we go to PiP break. We return and Lethal is crotched on the top.

Lethal gets hit off a top rope double axe handler attempt then is german suplexed. Lethal hits some punches then rolls up Dax into a figure four attempt. Jay topes him outside then figure fours him. Dax slingshot ligerbombs him. Dax puts him in the sharpshooter then Sonjay Dutt gets on the apron. Dax grabs him and runs into him then Lethal rolls him up off of it. Dax rolls him up then Dax 2nd rope twisting crossbodies him. Dax tries to roll him up but Lethal reverses it, grabs his tights and wins it.

It was good wrestling but there wasn't any great story to it.

Dutt gets on the mic after. He says they will be in a trios match, but said he never said who would be part of their team. A vignette then is shown for the Motor City Machine Guns.

Thunder Rosa is interviewed. She said there will be a new interim women's champ. She said she is hurt and will come back better and stronger. 

Billy Gunn vs Colten Gunn

Billy shoulders him over early and he rolls out. We go to PiP break and return. Colten is stomping on his dad and misses a splash. Billy lariats him then flurry stomps him in the corner. Colten low blows his dad and hits the colt 45 to win it.

This was short, mostly cut off by the break and was hard to believe.

Stokeley gives the Gunns his card after. The Gunns stomp on Billy then Swerve and Keith Lee make the save.

Death Triangle and Aussie Open are interviewed in the same room. Will says he has his friends with him and says they want more gold for the United Empire. Pac says they have been waiting too long for this opportunity. They said they are not going to kill them, but murder them.

Britt Baker vs Kilynn King

King spin kicks her in the gut then Britt sling blades her. King 2nd rope dropkicks her. King is flatliner'd into the 2nd buckle. Britt chinlocks her then King germans her.King has her up in the casadora then half nelson slams her. Britt superkicks her then superkicks her as she is down. Britt curb stomps her then wins it with a lockjaw.

This was a quick squash. King did okay I guess.

Britt gets on the mic after and rips Rosa. She said she wrestled her title reign with a broken wrist and says that's what a champ does. She talks trash to Toni Storm. Toni Storm comes out and Jamie Hayter hits her from behind. The two fight and Rebel holds up a Terrible Towel since they are in Ohio. Hikaru Shida comes uout with a kendo stick and clears them off.

The Acclaimed, Swerve and Lee are interviewed. They said they saved them because they thought they were worth opponents. Max says they don't need their praise and are the best and winningest team in AEW. They say they are AEW's uncrowned champs and will take the titles home at All Out.

AEW World Title vs AEW Interim Title - CM Punk vs Jon Moxley

They lock up and Mox pounds on him in the corner with forearms. Punk hits knees then high kicks him and holds his foot that he injured.Mox hits a big lariat then elbow flurries him. Mox grabs the foot then double underhook high angle ddt's him. Mox then does it again and wins in a total domination squash.

The announcers ask if Punk came back too soon and Punk is looked at by a doctor after. Ace Steel, Punk's old partner, is seen helping him out.

Christian is interviewed. His arm is in a cast. He says he extended an olive branch to Jungle Boy and was giving him one last chance to apologize. Christian says JB will never be as smart as him. He said he has seen and done it all and says JB will find out that he is not average. He said JB will figured out that he is not in his league.

Ricky Starks come out. He said he is hurt and pissed off due to Hobbs. He said he was told it is show business, but assumed he was the exception. He said Hobbs checked up on him when he broke his neck. He said people want to see you do good, but never better than them. Starks says he made sure the spotlight was big enough for the both of them. Starks said Hobbs hit him in his neck and said he was close losing all of this. He said he considered him his friend and said he considers him a dirty, scheming snake. He quotes New Jack City and challenges him to a match at All Out.

Mox does a promo. He said people always write him off and said the answer to every problem in wrestling is Jon Moxley. He said there is only one Jon Moxley and said he is pro wrestling. He said is the guy in wrestling and said there are no limitations to what he can do. He says his time is right now.

We get a package on Kenny Omega.

AEW Trios Title Quarterfinal Match - United Empire vs Death Triangle

 

Will and Fenix start off and Will hurricanrana's Fenix. Fenix cartwheels out then Will does the same. Will handstands out of a cutter and some superkicks are thrown around. All 6 men get in and fight then Fenix handspring double cutters aussie Open. Will is back body dropped by Pac and Penta then Death Triangle does triple dives outside.

Penta casadora's Fenix onto Will then Penta chops Will. Fenix springboard double axe handles Will. Penta kicks around Will then Fenix fujiwara armbars Will. Fenix superkicks Will in the head. Fenix is bridged over the apron then double stomped off the apron. Will does a corkscrew moonsault off the top onto the outside then Will is launched into a dropkick on Fenix for 2.

Davis sentons Fenix and pounds on him from the mount. Best Friends are watching from the seats. Fletcher slams Fenix and Fenix takes sandwich forearms. Fenix does El Unicorn's flip off the ropes into a double armdrag then Penta top rope crossbodies Aussie Open. Penta then is rolled into a crucifix bomb on Fletcher. Willd handspring back enzugiri's Penta then Penta takes a double team botched bulldog. Fenix is chopped over the rail.

Davis chokes Penta then Will tries to take off Penta's mask. Will delay suplexes Penta and they trade forearms. Will eyepokes Penta. Pac gets in and dropkicks both Open members then germans Will off the rebound. Pac deadlift germans Will after Fenix kicked Will to get him off the ropes. The Lucha Bros and Aussie Open trade superkicks then Pac and Will double poisonrana both from behind. Will and Pac stare down and trade forearms.

Will flips off of Pac then Pac rebound germans him. Will then hits an os cutter. Pac does a top rope brainbuster on Will in a seriously nasty move. Aussie Open and the Lucha Bros fight outside. Fletcher pounds on Pac with forearms then Will spinning backbreakers Pac. Will brainbusters Fenix on the floor. Pac pushes Will off the top then is crotched up there. Fenix spin kicks Will off the 2nd rope as Pac is up there too. Fenix hurricanrana's Will off the top and Will lands on his feet. Fenix rolls into a cutter. Fenix and Penta do dives to the outside then. Pac goes for the black arrow twisting ssp and Will gets his knees up. Will gets his stormbreaker reversed into a hurricanrana. Fenix springboards and is hit with a Davis forearm.

Penta jumps off of Davis' back with a canadian destroyer on Fletcher. Pac 2nd rope backflips into a tornado ddt on Will. Pac moonsaults off the post onto people outside then Pac stares down Kip Sabian, who has a box over his head. Pac takes the box off and it's not Kip then Kip hits him from behind. Kip twisting neckbreakers him on the floor.

Davis lariats Fenix twice then Fenix takes a triple forearm. Fenix is lifted into an os cutter and Will's team wins.

It was a match with a lot of flipping and big moves as expected. They had a lot of time for this and they definitely did too much. It kept my attention, but it was mostly a spotfest. I don't think that was the best way to solve the Kip Sabian thing.

Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks get on the ramp after. Don Callis holds back Kenny after.

Overall thoughts: Pretty good episode with a lot of action and happenings. Mox/Punk was a disappointment but there clearly was more to that story.

I just saw the GP matches here: 

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Red Stars - Sayaka Unagi vs Saki Kashima

Unagi slaps her then Saki hits her with forearms and throws her out. Saki chokes her with something outside then hits her with it. Unagi gets her head banged off a table then the apron. Saki kichs her then 2nd rope double stomps her for 2. Unagi twisting facebusters her and legdrops her. Unagi then does a gori special and pulls her neck. Unagi hurricanrana's her then facekicks her. Saki bulldogs her off the 2nd rope.

Saki kicks her nad hits an uppercut palmstrike. Unagi facekicks her then bladerunners her for 2. Unagi then does a driver move on Saki and wins it.

This was short but ok. Nothing too special here with Unagi getting beaten up and making her comeback to win.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Blue Stars - Giulia vs Hanan

Giulia side headlocks her early then Hanan does the same. Giulia forearms her then armdrags her and dropkicks her. Giulia neckbreakers her and Hanan tries to run up the ropes and twisting crossbodies her but botches. Hanan hits a side throw into a leg lock then Giulia stf's her. Hanan leglocks her again and Giulia ropebreaks.

Hanan dropkicks her legs against the ropes for 2. Giulia runs at her and is suplexed then northern lights suplexed for 2. Giulia puts her in the rings of saturn and Hanan ropebreaks. Giulia is thrown off the top then Hanan fameasses her twice. Giulia STF's her then Hanan hits a jumping knee. Hanan suplexes her for 2 then is backdropped. Giulia 2nd rope dropkicks her for 2. Hanan rolls her into a pin then does it again for 2. Giulia puts her in the octopus stretch and wins it.

It was okay but nothing too special. They kept a pretty fast pace here and did some submissions.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Red Stars - Momo Kohgo vs Utami Hayashishita

They lock up and Utami throws her off. Momo comes back with a flurry of chest forearms then dropkicks her. Utami running shoulders her and slams her. Utami slams her again for 2. Momo tries to come back with forearms but is launched with just one from Utami. Momo dropkicks her then 2nd rope twisting crossbodies her for 2.

Momo has her 619 blocked and Utami drives her into the buckles. Utami running bakc elbows her and dropkicks her in the back of the neck for 2. Momo slingshot double stomps her and 619's her. Momo goes up on the ropes, is caught then rolls up Utami. Utami then sliding lariats her and hits a schwein for 2. Momo hurricanrana's her for 2 then superkicks her. Momo gets sideslammed for another 2. Utami then wins it by putting her on her shoulders and spinning her down.

It was short and another sprint type of match. Momo wasn't bad as the underdog here and I liked it.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Red Stars - Koguma vs Maika

Kog rolls her up to start and does more roll-ups. Kog climbs on her back and makes her do her pose with her arms. Maika shoulders her over then chases her through the crowd for some reason. Kog stops and kicks her then continues to run away. Back in and Kog sits on her back and camel cmutches her. Kog double stomps her back then is powerslammed. Maika shoulders her down then Kog ddt's her. Kog jumps on Maika's back with a sleeper.

Kog dropkicks her off the top on the back of her neck then Maika superplexes her. Kog counters a move and germans her then Maika backdrops her. Kog release germans her then Maika lariats her. Maika hits a running wrist-clutch powerslam for 2 then is rolled up for 2. Maika spinning lariats her and Kog takes a stiff bump then is michinoku drivered for the Maika win.

Kind of an unusual match with them basically doing comedy early then doing high impact strong style wrestling after.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Red Stars - AZM vs. Himeka

AZM rolls up Himeka and double stomps her. AZM runs up the ropes an dcrossbodies her but is caught. AZM dropkicks her off the 2nd rope. They go outside and AZM hurricanrana's her on the floor then 2nd rope double stomps her on the floor. She then brings her in and top rope double stomps her for 2.

They trade forearms and AZM legsweeps her. AZM hits her with la mistica then Himeka samoan drops her. AZM kicks her in the head then Himeka running lariats her. AZM runs up the buckles and takes a lariat on her way down. Himeka backdrops her then crabs her. Himeka racks her and tries to drop her out of it but is buzzsaw kicked. AZM gets her hurricanrana blocked and is powerbombed. Himeka then hits a torture rack bomb and AZM gets up immediately and goes for pins. AZM runs at her and is lariated then Himeka lariats her again for 2. AZM canadian destroyers her then rolls her up for the pin.

I wasn't a big fan of this. There wasn't much selling or thought put into it besides AZM going as fast as she could the whole time.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Blue Stars - MIRAI vs Hazuki

They mat wrestle and Mirai headlocks her. Haz flips over her back and is shouldered down. She is shouldered down again and slammed. Haz fujiwara armbars her then dropkicks her arm. Haz facewash kicks her through the ropes then sentons her. Haz bulldog chokes her then they both hit running back elbows on the ropes. Mirai lariats her on the ropes and runs into a forearm. They trade forearms then Haz ddt's her. Mirai hits a stiff lariat then runs her over with a shoulder.

Haz picks her up and drops her down front first. Haz goes for a casadora but Mirai slams her out of it. Haz goes for la magistral but is rolled up into a pin. Mirai hits a stiff lariat then Haz puts her in a tight rings of saturn. Haz pumpkicks her on the ropes then ddt's her over the 2nd rope. Haz slams her and top rope sentons her. Haz hits a stiff slam then brainbusters her for the win.

I felt like Hazuki got a little too much in here, but this was stiff and fast paced. They beat the crap out of each other good here in this sprint.

5*Star Grand Prix Match - Blue Stars - Momo Watanabe vs Natsupoi

Poi charges at Momo with a dropkick to start then corner dropkicks her. Po does a nice armdrag off a cartwheel to send Momo out then goes up top. Momo pulls her off onto the apron then Momo meteora her from the 2nd buckle onto the apron. Momo kicks Poi in the chest then foot slaps her around. Poi forearm flurries her then Momo chickenwings her to force a ropebreak. Momo kicks her against the ropes then Poi comes back and running blockbusters her. Poi dropkicks her through the ropes then top rope crossbodies her.

They go outside and Poi germans her into the apron in a new move. Poi misses a 180 splash from the top then takes knee to the back of the neck. Momo then meteora's her for 2. Momo buzzsaw kicks Poi. Saki gets on the apron and Momo puts a wrench in her own shoe or knee pad. Momo kicks her with it then hits more kicks. Momo kicks her in the back and they fight over the wrench. Poi hits superkicks then german suplexed her. Poi twisting neckbreakers her for 2 then does a cartwheel splash from the top for 2. Momo peach sunrsies her for 2 then hits a half and half suplex for another 2. Poi gets on her shoulders and tries to roll her up but is package tombstoned for 2. Momo then does a half-nelson, wrist-clutch suplex and wins it.

It was decent for most of it, but they got too cute near the end and couldn't do a lot of the last portion of the match cleanly.

Overall thoughts: Not an amazing night at the GP, but it was fine enough. The main was probably the match of the night.

Here's what I saw:

Shigehiro Irie & Takuho Kato vs. Daichi Hashimoto & Daisuke Sekimoto

Hash headscissors Kato early then Sek chops Kato. Sek chinlocks Kato then Kato hits him with forearms. Sek takes a double back elbow then Irie does his rope rebound splash on Sek for 2. Kato hits Sek with chops then Sek dropkicks him.

Hash gets in and hits kicks on Kato then Kato fights back with forearms and is dropped with another chest kick. Sek backbreakers Kato then crabs him. Kato hits forearms on Hash but is elbow dropped and kicked in the chest. Hash hits a stiff forearm on Kato and Kato criss-crosses him with a shoulderblock.

Irie gets the tag in and knocks down both opponents. Irie running splashes Hash then does a cool butt drop on Hash for 2. Hash hits a nice uranage on Irie. Sek does a nice punch combo on Irie and spears him on the ropes. Sek the falling splashes Irie for 2. Sek runs at Irie and gets a black hole slam then Kato running lariats Sek. Kato running bulldogs Sek at 10 minutes then fallaway slams him.

Irie cannonballs Sek in the corner then Kato does a nice fallaway slams pin on Sek for 2. Sek and Kato trade forearums then Sek headbutts him. Kato rolls him up for 2 then Sek rolls him up into a pin at 11:36.

The finishing sequence was just out of nowhere but the rest of the match up to it was okay. I thought Hash got pushed a little too strong here though and didn't give out enough.

Weapon Bringing Death Match - Kankuro Hoshino, Masaya Takahashi & Takumi Tsukamoto vs. Hideyoshi Kamitani, Ryuji Ito & Yuki Ishikawa

Takumi and Kami grab a barbed wire stick and a trash can. Kami easily takes out the can with the stick then Takumi russian legsweeps Kami with the stick. Masa swings a barbed wire ball on a chain at Yuki as Yuki shoots staples at him. Yuki ends up taking a staple to the face and Masa has paper stapled to his head. Masa staples paper to Yuki's back.

Ito swings a kendo stick at Hoshino and Hoshino mocks him as he avoids it. Hoshino catches the stick then armdrags Ito. Hoshino misses a lariat and is hit multiple times with a stick. Kami slams Hoshino then top rope elbows a barbed wire stick into his gut for 2. Hoshino 2nd rope dropkicks Kami then flying lariats him. Hoshino sentons cement blocks into Kami's gut for 2.

Kami is slammed onto a chair then Masa throws a barbed wire ball at Kami. Kami catches it then runs into him with it. Ito chairs Masa in the back then Masa side throws him. Ito throws a chair at Masa's head. Yuki enzugiri's Takumi then sliding kicks him for 2.

Takumi throws Yuki then fisherman suplexes him for 2. Takumi gets chokeslammed through a chair that is bridged onto two other chairs then Takumi slams Ito. Yuki top rope double stomps chairs into Takumi for 2. Takumi is lariated by Kami then everyone gets a move in. Takumi throws yuki off a suplex then double chickenwing slams him to win it at 105:3.

This was mostly hardcore stuff and it was okay. Nothing too special or crazy here.

TLC & Pushpin Death Match - Abdullah Kobayashi & Jaki Numazawa vs. Yankee Two Kenju (Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto)

Abby is attacked during intros then JAcki and Isami fight over a ladder. Their partners get behind them and they push each other then Yuko and Isami get the ladder in the gut. Yuko rolls through a sunset flip and basement dropkicks Jaki. Isami tries to stab Abby, but just ends up stabbing a table. Isami and Abby then hit each other and Isami's head is rubbed in the push pins. Isami gets pins in his head then Jaki sticks more in there. Jaki puts pins in Isami's mouth then chinbreakers him.

Abby puts pins in Isami's pocket and punches them then Isami grabs a handful of pins and throws them in Abby's face. Abby is then thrown into a pushpin board in the corner. Isami suplexes Jaki. Yuko swings the ladder around and hits both opponents. Yuko kick combos Abby then Abby lariats him onto pins. Abby tries to basement dropkick Yuko but Yuko moves and his back goes into the pins. Abby and Yuko headbutt each other.

Jaki corner lariats and bulldogs Yuko then Yuko handspring back elbows him. Isami top rope crossbodies Jaki then pepsi twists him for 2. Isami sprays pins around the ring then top rope dropkicks Jaki. Abby does a terrible slingblade on Isami then Abby russian leg sweeps Yuko into tacks. Abby misses an elbow then Jaki hits a schwein on Isami for 2.

Jaki goes up top and has a chair thrown at him then Yuko sit out drivers him onto a table from up there. Isami rolls Jaki onto tacks and pins him to win it at 10:53.

Not a classic and Abby didn't look good here at times but it was a simple hardcore match and they didn't overdo it. It had some fun to it and I liked it.

UWA World Tag Team Title Match -Eisa8 & HUB (c) vs. Brahman Brothers (Brahman Kei & Brahman Shu)

Hub and a Brahman roll around the ring and taunt each other. The Brahman does an odd clean break and they mat wrestle. Eisa and the other Brahman go at it and Eisa running forearms him. Eisa runs the ropes and is hit in the back with something then choked by a Brahman. The two masked guys are put in a corner then a suitcase is hit with a bowling ball into their crotch. A Brahman then standing moonsaults onto nothing in celebration. Hub has something shoved into his butt then a sign is it into it to jam it in there.

A Brahman hits Hub with punches then Hub whips him hard with something hanging off his mask. Eisa gets in and forearms the Bros then dropkicks them. Eisa and Hub have powder thrown in their eyes then a Brahman crossbodies both. Eisa takes kicks to the head from both. A Brahman hits his brother with a suitcase on accident then Eisa hits him with a sign. Hub top rope frogsplashes the other Brahman and wins it at 9:24.

I guess you have to assume this was no rules as they all openly used weapons and stuff. It was the usual Brahman Bros affair with weapons and various shenanigans before the faces got the win.

BJW Tag Team Title Match - Astronauts (Fuminori Abe & Takuya Nomura) (c) vs. Kazuki Hashimoto & Koji Kanemoto

Koji and Nomura chain wrestle then leg lock each other. Koji and Abe trade slaps then Abe slaps Kaz and is slapped down by Koji. Abe slaps Koji and goes after Kaz then Koji comes in and wants to continue with Abe. Abe gets double teamed with forearms and then dropped. Abe hits back kicks on Kaz then goes after Koji again. Kaz takes a double chest kick from his opponents then Abe facekicks Koji off the apron.

All 4 men fight and Koji and Abe try to send each other into the post. Nomura keylocks Kaz then hits him with kicks. Nomura and Kaz trade forearms and Nomura rolls him into a kimura. Nomura lariats Kaz then hits forearms on Koji. Koji and Nomura trade kicks to the body and Koji hits a hard spinning heel kick. Koji ankle locks Nomura, Abe goes after him then Koji ankle locks Abe while holding down Nomura.

Koji combos Nomura then is dropkicked. Koji and Abe snapmare and back kick each other and knock their opponents off the apron. They slap each other then forearm each other. Abe then dragon screws him off a blocked kick. They lock up their legs and slap each other in the face while doing it then Kaz kicks Abe hard in the back. Koji falcon arrows Abe for 2. abe and Koji kick each other in the head at the same time.

Nomura and Kaz get in and Kaz is running facekicked then corner enzugiri's Nomura. Nomura hits a facekick and they trade forearms. Nomura is pulled over the top rope then Kaz kicks him hard form the apron. Koji and Kaz do running facewash kicks on their opponents in the corner then Kaz dragon scrws Nomura. Nomura capture suplexes Koji then Kaz lariats Nomura and all 4 men are down. The 4 men exchange strikes then Abe punches Kaz in the head before getting headbutted. Kaz suplexes Nomura. Nomura takes kicks from both opponents and Kaz headbutts him. Kaz knees Nomura for 2.

Nomura and Abe both put their opponents in submissions and Nomura wins with a double reverse armbar on Kaz at 15:13.

This was a really good match here with lots of hate and stiff strikes. This was everything you would hope for out of these guys and it was so much fun from start to finish. Lots of creative spots here and man, this was good.

BJW World Strong Heavyweight Title Match - Yuji Okabayashi vs Daimonji So

They lock up and Oka throws him out. They chop each other outside and Oka runs him over with a shoulder inside. So goes up and over then running shoulders him over. So forearm flurries him from the mount and elbow drops him. Oka hits chops on him then stomps him. Oka slams him then splashes him for 2. So suplexes Oka and punches him then gets powerslammed. Oka crabs him. So ropebreaks and hits stiff back elbows then samoan drops Oka.

So hits a nice flying clothesline on Oka. So then fallaway slams him. So hits a top rope clothesline for 2. So topes Oka then tries to spear him but is caught and put in a torture rack. Oka overhead throws him while he is behind him then corner running lariats him. They fight up top and Oka superplexes him. So full-nelson slams him and they trade forearms.

So superman punches him then Oka suplexes him for 2. Oka lariats him for 2. So 2nd rope fallaway slams him  then tope con hilos him outside. So hits a big spear for 2 then lariats him in the back of the head for 2. Oka germans So then So spinning lariats him. So does an interesting spinning slam for a close 2. Oka hits lariats on So then running lariats him for 1. Oka tries to powerbomb him but falls backwards and almost out if it weren't for the stage then Oka powerbombs him again. Oka top rope splashes him and wins it.

It's a shame they botched near the end, but this was a good strong style match. They hit each other hard, So was motivated and they didn't overdo it. Pretty good stuff here that I'm afraid nobody will get to see.

Overall thoughts: The main and semi-main were very good and the semi-main was seriously one of the most fun juniors matches this year. Overall, this was a good show with most of the matches being at least decent.

Anna Jay vs Nikki Victory

Anna side headlocks her and shoulders her over. She stomps on her and running euros her. Nikki gets some chest clubs in and is pounded on. Anna running spinning high kicks her in the corner. Anna hits a sidekick and wins with a grounded choke in a little over a minute.

This was a total waste of time that accomplished nothing. Nikki's decent looking.

Dante Martin vs Jackson Drake

Dante offers to shake hands. Drake accepts and tries to nail him. Dante rolls out of a shot, jumps over him and armdrags him. Drake pump kicks him then fisherman suplexes him for 2. Dante suplexes him then running forearms him. Dante flips from one apron corner to the other then top rope crossbodies him for 2. Dante flips off the bottom rope then does a half-nelson side slam and wins it.

This was another short and pointless squash that didn't help either person. Dante's finisher was unique and Drake got seriously busted open here somehow. 

Serena Deeb vs Megan Meyers

MM has some gothic thing going on with a mini skirt. Deeb full-nelsons her and slaps her in the back of the head. MM rolls out of a wristlock then Deeb escapes her wristlock. Deeb headlock side takeovers her then ties up her legs and pulls on her mouth. Deeb slaps her around and MM comes back with forearms. Deeb then lariats her and hits chops. Deeb puts one of her legs over the middle rope and dragon screws the other leg. Deeb then twisting neckbreakers her and puts her in the tequila sunrise to win it.

Another quick squash. MM got to do a little here and looked okay doing it.

The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver & Ten) (w/Evil Uno) vs. Alexander Apollo, D'Mone Solavino & RC Dupree

Silver headlocks RC then shoulders him over. Silver gorilla presses him and throws him neck first on the top rope. He then hits a running euro. RC takes a double hiptoss, then they just throw him back instead of dropping him. 10 hits a delayed suplex on RC and Apollo gets in. Apollo is immediately lariated by Alex then Alex kind of M. Bison stomps his back as he is bent over. Dmone pounds on Alex then RC runs into Alex's boot. 10 comes in and lariats RC and Apollo then running chest kicks RC. 10 pump kicks RC and backdrops Apollo. 10 spinebusters Dmone. RC takes a big sequence of moves from Silver and Alex and is whipped into a 10 spinning forearm.

Another quick one here which didn't do much for anyone. D'Mone maybe was involved in 2-3 moves tops.

Julia Hart vs Hayley Shadows

Hayley looks like she could be hanging with the House of Black. Nobody moves to start and Hart walks slowly into a face kick on her. Hart pounds on her in the corner and makes evil faces. Hayley then pounds on her with forearms. Hayley tries to go up and over but no one is there then Hart criss-crosses her and lariats her.

Hart forward cartwheels into a body press the running back elbows her. Hayley rolls her up for 2 then is superkicked. Hart then does an interesting rings of saturn variation and wins it.

The up and over part was weird, but Hayley looks like maybe there is osmething there if she loses some weight. Hart's new gimmick is at least something.

Andrea Guercio & Logan James vs. Josh Woods & Tony Nese (w/Mark Sterling)

Andrea's definitely doing an italian gimmick. Nese poses early out of a waistlock and kicks James in the knee. James is whipped hard into the buckles then Nese slams him. Josh does a neat back body drop from the side on James then running knees him. Andrea gets in and does some funny looking kicks then is knee'd in the gut. Woods gutwrench bombs him for 2 as James breaks it up. James takes a stiff forearm from Nese and is lariated over the top then Nese plancha's him. Josh and Nese do an olympic slam + neckbreaker combo on Andrea and win it.

I'm really not a fan of Josh's gear. It just doesn't fit what he's doing. The finisher here was cool, but it was another shorter match.

Dean Alexander, Jake Manning & Rosario Grillo vs. Death Triangle (PAC, Penta El Zero Miedo & Rey Fenix) (w/Alex Abrahantes)

I thought Dean had potential like 2 years ago. He still hasn't done squat since.

Pac wristlocks Jake then rolls and headflips out of his wristlock. He armdrags him and slams him. Penta dropkicks Jake low form the top and Jake does a nice sell for it. Penta sling blades Dean then Dead is sandwich superkicked by the Lucha Bros. Penta rolls Fenix onto Dean and Jake is thrown out. Grillo takes a rebound into a hook kick from Fenix. Pac hits gut kicks on Grillo and running side facekicks him. Penta package piledrivers Grillo and wins it.

This was yet again another short and pointless squash.

Emi Sakura & Maki Itoh vs Hikaru Shida & Skye Blue

Shida and Blue are attacked as they enter. Itoh hits one of them with a microphone then tries to do it to Shida. Shida punches her and hurts her hand on Itoh's head. Itoh misses the side headbutt then Blue hits a nice forearm on Emi. Emi mongolian chops Blue then hair throws her. Emi does her stupid we will rock you thing then crossbodies her in the corner. Itoh stomps on Blue and makes faces as she has her in the camel clutch position. She cranks back on the chinlock then Blue step up enzugiri's her.

Shida gets the hot tag in and runs over Itoh. Shida forearms her then corner punches her. Shida delay suplexes Itoh then Shida and Emi fight on the ropes. Itoh headbutts Shida in the back of the head then does her kokeshi falling headbutt. Emi hits knees on Shida and Shida forearms her. Emi running knees her then Shida axe kicks her and brazilian kicks her. Shida hurricanrana's her then Blue forearm flurries Itoh. Itoh no sells getting her head banged off the buckles then bangs her own head off them. Blue swinging kicks her from the mat and Itoh headbutts her.

Blue is dropped on Itoh's knee then Emi does an elevated spinning pedigree. Shida 2nd rope meteora's her then Blue hits a swinging neckbreaker. Emi lariats blue then is nailed by Shida. Emi backdrops Shida then Blue rolls up Emi. Blue accidentally superkicks her own partner then Itoh diving ddt's Shida. Emi tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Blue then Emi lifts her up like a pyramid driver and spins her for the win.

Shida hits Emi after and they grab each other by the hair. They butt heads and Emi motions that she wants her WAVE title.

This was a lot better than anything else on the show. It was quick and stiff and was the best Shida looked and even put Blue over some. Good stuff.

Overall thoughts: It was a one match show with the main event being decent and the rest being a total waste of time that helped nobody.

I saw everything but the main. The main was some comedy battle royale but I thought the rest of the show looked good enough to cover it anyway.

Yusuke Okada vs Toi Kojima

Toi taunts Okada before they start and Okada rides him on the mat. Toi hits some chops then chops Okada as he runs. Toi hits more chops then Okada ducks a chop and forearms him. Okada slams and elbow drops him for 2. They trade chops for forearms and Okada knocks him down with a big forearm. Okada back elbows him.

Toi chops Okada then Okada forearms him. Toi is thrown into the ropes and comes off the 2nd rope with a springboard twisting kick. Toi then dropkicks him for 2. Toi running dropkicks Okada in the corners then top rope crossbodies him for 2. Toi hits a nice dropkick on Okada then suplexes him. Toi then half-nelson bombs him for 2. Okada backdrops Toi for 2. They trade forearms for chop then Toi dropkicks him. Toi chops him against the ropes and takes a stiff running knee to the gut. Okada brainbusters him for 2 then fisherman busters him for the win.

I thought they did a little much for the opener but it was a solid Japanese style match with lots of stiff strikes and suplexes.

El Unicorn, Kaji Tomato & Yuya Koroku vs. DAMNATION T.A (Daisuke Sasaki, KANON & MJ Paul)

Kaji does the tomato dance and makes his partners join in. Kaji avoids Kanon's charge and celebrates then cartwheels over him. He basement dropkicks as he is stting then Yuya back elbows Kanon. Uni hits forearms on Kanon but Sasaki hits him on the ropes and holds him. Kanon goes after him but ends up nailing Sasaki. Uni grabs both guys arms, walks up the ropes, flips ontpo them and then back rolls into a double armdrag. Uni then tilt-a-whirl headscissors Kanon. Uni goes up top and Sasaki pushes him off.

They all fight outside and Yuya has his head banged off something by Paul. Sasaki gutbusters Uni for 2 and tries to rip his mask off. Kanon tries to rip Uni's mask off and bodyscissors him. Paul stands on Uni in the corner and suplexes him. Uni dropkicks him then avoids a splash. Uni double stomps him in the back of the head and tags in Kaji. Kaji top rope flip dives Paul then Paul shoulders him and elbow drops him. Sasaki gets in and top rope lariats Kaji then Kaji enzugiri's him. Kaji rolls him back for 2 then springboard kicks him.

Yuya is tagged in and Uni hits dropkicks on Sasaki. Uni dropsaults Sasaki then top rope double stomps him for 2. Uni hits a satellite ddt on Sasaki and hits a buzzsaw kick. Sasaki then pops him up and drops him then facekicks him. Kanon gets in and volleyball spikes Yuya for 2. Yuya 2nd rope forearms Kanon then waterwheel drops him. Kanon forearms Yuya in the gut then lariats him for 2. Kanon drops Yuya on his chest and gut for 2 then puts Uni in the cobra ttwist. Kaji breaks it up and Uni hurricanrana's Sasaki out. Kaji hits a plancha on Paul outside and Uni pulled down on his dive attempt and hit with a chair. Yuya rolls up Kanon out of a suplex attempt then Kanon dropkicks him. Kanon twisting brainbusters  Yuya and grabs the win.

Not great or anything but a solid face vs heel match here. Probably could have been better but it was okay for what it was.

Sasaki talks on the mic after and teases shaking hands with Uni. He kicks him in the crotch and takes his mask off. Sasaki talks more trash after and tries to put the mask on Paul then wears it himself. 

Poor Unicorn has to do an interview after with no mask.

Soma Takao, Yuki Ishida & Yukio Naya vs. Eruption (Hideki Okatani & Yukio Sakaguchi) & Hiroshi Yamato

Oka and Soma do some exchanging of holds to start and Soma rolls and kips up out of a wristlock and armdrags him over the back. Soma then back elbows him. Naya slams Oka a few times. Ishida gets in and does a nice hitposs on Oka and they trade forearms in the corner. Yamato chops Ishida in the corner then snapmares and dropkicks him. Yuko kicks Ishida when he gets in and drops him with another kick. He kicks him in the back then sits on his back for a chickenwing. Yamato dropkicks Ishida as he is held there.

Ishida flying chops Yukio then Naya gets in and shoulders him over. Naya double shoulders Oka and Yamato then slams Yukio. Naya then elbow drops Yukio for 2. Naya drops Yukio with a forearm and they trade forearms. Yukio running step-up kicks Naya. Yamato gets in and has to fight off a 1v2 then dropkicks Soma in the face. Yamato top rope dropkicks Naya then takes a black hole slam from him.

Soma flatliners Yamato into the buckles then double stomps his back and basement dropkicks him for 2. Yamato and Soma trade forearms and Soma enzugiri's him. Yamato leg lariats Soma then Oka bulldogs Soma for 2. Soma backcrackers Oka then Ishida does fast runningcorner moves to Oka. He then running forearms him. Oka running forearms Ishida. Soma gets picked up and hits a headlock takedown/headscissors takedown off a 1v2 then Naya runing knees Oka. Ishida battering rams Oka for 2. Ishida and Oka trade forearms then Oka flapjacks him. Oka hits a running lariat then butterfly suplexes Ishida for the win.

Nothing too special or crazy but it was fast paced and a decent trios match. Ishida was good as usual and Soma did a lot of work here. Would have liked to have seen Naya more though.

Harimao (Kazusada Higuchi & Naomi Yoshimura) vs. Omega (Makoto Oishi & Yuji Hino)

Oishi and Hino attack at intros. Oishi hits Naomi with his cane multiple times and Hino trades chops with Higuchi. Oishi chokes Naomi with a cane as Hino and Higuchi trade chops. the two choke each other and Hino chops Higuchi in front of the post. Inside, Naomi chops Oishi and Oishi tries to hug the middle rope to avoid Higuchi's chops.

Naomi and Higuchi double shoulder then both elbow drop Oishi. Oishi tries gut punches on Naomi and doesn't bother him with them then Naomi drops him with a chop. Naomi runs the ropes and is kicked in the back then Hino gets in. Hino chops up Naomi and puts him in a hold and hits more chops. Hino drops Naomi with a super hard chop then Oishi throws Naomi out. Oishi grabs his cane and the ref tries to take it but he dances with it. Hino slams Oishi on the floor while he does this. Oishi and Hino double back elbow Naomi then Hino hits a big senton for 2.

Hino hits Naomi with hard chops then Oishi slaps Naomi's head around. Naomi wakes up and Oishi wants a tag but is chopped down instead. Oishi goes for tornado ddt but Naomi bearhugs him into a suplex. Higuchi gets in shoulders both opponents. He powerslams Oishi. Oishi tries to chokeslam Higuchi and Higuchi doesn't go with it then Oishi spits on him. Oishi dives for the tag and is brought down but makes the tag anyway.

Hino gets in and him and Higuchi shoulder each other. They trade chops for a while then Higuchi hits a nice dropkick on him. Naomi gets in trades chops with Hino and they lariat each other at the same time. Naomi coconut crushes him then Hino backdrops him. Oishi gets in and goofs around the stunners Naomi. Naomi then bearhug overhead suplexes him. Oishi takes running corner lariats then is double gorilla press slammed. Hino fights off chops 1v2 against both opponents then puts his hands behind his back and tells them to do it more. They get the better of Hino then Hino runs the ropes and double lariats them. Oishi holds Naomi against the buckles and Hino running lariats him in the corner.

Oishi top rope headbutts Naomi then uraken's him. Naomi side throws him and wins it.

It went longer than it needed to and some of the chops and stuff got repetitive. Oishi also went a little too far with the goofing around. There was still some good to this, but it had room to be better.

Overall thoughts: The 4 matches I saw were all at least decent and it probably took less than an hour to see them all. I thought what I saw was fine.

Bron Breakker comes out. He said JD McDonagh proved he is one of the best in the world. He invited Tyler Bate down he came out after his match last week. Tyler comes out and congratulates Bron on his win. He said he is the flagbearer of NXT UK and is the first and last NXT UK champ. He said NXT Europe is around the corner and said there's no better way to kick it off than to unify the titles.

Bron says he knows how great he is and said when he thinks of Bate, he thinks of NXT UK. He said this isn't NXT UK, this is the NXT, where the best in the world are. He said he agreed that there should be one NXT champ and said let's have a title for title match at NXT Worlds Collide. They shake on it.

We get a package on Gallus. They said they enjoy a good fight and never started a fight they couldn't finish. They said NXT gets to learn what they beat in the UK and they said it is forever Gallus Boys On Top.

Fallon Henley and maybe Lash Legend were fighting in the back and had to be seperated before this. 

 

NXT UK Tag Titles - Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs Gallus (Mark Coffey and Wolfgang)

Wolf jumps on Briggs to start then Mark pounds on him too. Mark takes a double shoulder then Jensen bulldogs him. Wolf chinlocks Jensen and Jensen's mouth is busted open. Jensen fights off a 1v2 in the corner and both teams trade punches.

We go to PiP break and return. We saw Mark hit Jensen from behind and Wolf drop a knee on Jensen during the break. Wolf side sentons Jensen and Jensen back body drops Mark. Briggs gets the hot tag in and throws punches then facekicks Wolf. Briggs splashes Mark then Lash Legend comes out and nails Fallon. Pretty Deadly then comes down and we have chaos outside. Briggs and Jensen get counted out during the riot and Gallus wins via DQ.

What we got was decent but it was short and had a dirty finish.

Diamond Mine jump Gallus after and Wolf is thrown out. Mark is speared and Joe gets belly to belly suplexed. Gallus is held back by security to end the segment.

We go to Chase U. He has brought in Charlie Dempsey. He said Charlie will teach the class some moves. Someone comes up to him, Charlie tells him to get on all fours then he grabs his arm and leg. Chase tells him to go easy, saying it's only an exhibition. Chase volunteers Bodhi next. Charlie chinklocks hin and Charlie grabs him by the nose. Chase has to get him off him. Bodhi pushes Charlie and Cahse says maybe he isn't the right person to ask. Charlie says he is too soft and tells him to google Billy Robinson if they want homework.

The Grayson Waller Effect with Apollo Crews

This is the debut of this segment. GW says he will be the buzz of NXT and all of WWE. Waller has a table a picture-in-picture and something that scrolls the script. He brings out Apollo Crews. Crews puts the set-up over and says it is great. GW calls him a clout chaser. Crews is asked why he is here and he says he was born in NXT. GW made fun of him for the accent he dropped and the Nigerian warrior gimmick he had. Crews then talks in the accent. He says he is still a Nigerian warrior and is proud of his hertiage. GW asks him about his visions and asks him to do it on the show. Crews says it doesn't work like that. GW asks Crews where he was when Gallus attacked Diamond Mine. Crews gets annoyed and GW backs up. GW asks Crews how he will feel when he runs him out of NXT. Crews calls him a low budget version of The Miz. GW asks how he feels to tell his kids he couldn't cut it on Mondays and Friday, so he's back here. Crews replies then drops him with a punch. He says that is "The Apollo Crews Effect".

The Schism is on the riser and wishes Grimes good luck.

Gallus and Pretty Deadly run into each other in the back. PD says they can't take their thunder. PD says they took the tag titles from Gallus when Gallus says Briggs and Jensen have their titles. Gallus then has to be held back by security.

Tyler Bate does a promo. He says he is the first and last NXT UK champ. He said he has grown up as a kid and says he is now a man. He says at Worlds Collide, NXT UK comes to a close just as it started - with him holding up the title.

Von Wagner and Mr. Stone are interviewed. Stone says this is a new NXT and isn't worried about Bate. Von says Bate is an international star and a big strong boy, but he's a big strong man. He said after he crushes him, he won't make it to Worlds Collide.

Javier Bernal vs Cameron Grimes

JB hits some shots on Grimes then is kicked in the gut. JB punches and kicks Grimes then bulldogs him. JB chinlocks Grimes. Grimes hits a nice upkick on JB and flapjacks him nearly on his head. Grimes forearms him then running knees him. Grimes does a baseball slide then superkicks him. Grimes then hits an M. Bison stomp and stares at Schism before winning.

This was just a squash and JB almost got real hurt on the botched flapjack.

We get a Blair Davenport vignette. She said she has the will to do whatever it takes and said she is sending a message to the NXT women. 

Alba Fyre does a promo on Lash Legend. She said not to respect her heritage. She said she is a warrior that will do anything it takes to win and said where there's smoke, there's fire.

Indi Hartwell vs Blair Davenport

They lock up and Indi rolls her up. Indi shoulders her over and headlock takeovers her. Indi takes a shotgun dropkick off the apron and goes out. Indi pushes her back in then is twisting neckbreakered over the 2nd rope. Blair climbs on her back wit ha sleeper then Indi falls back to break it.

Indi hits some forearms and a lariat then spinebusters her. Indi goes up top and is pulled off the ropes. Blair buzzsaw kicks her then does a bad falcon arrow to win.

This was not good with multiple botches.

Blair stomps on and v-triggers Indi after, then kicks her out of the ring. Blair gets on the mic and says the mistress of NXT UK has arrived. She said she is the rightful heir to the women's championship.

Mandy Rose comes out. She said she's Mandy Rose and says she is standing in her ring. She said everyone follows her lead in her world and says she is the most dominant women's champion. She says to put some respect on her name. Meiko Satomura then comes out. She tells Mandy she isn't the most dominant champion, that's her. Mandy says Meiko is a true legend and says beating a legend like her would give her true respect. Meiko challenges her for Worlds Collide in a title vs title match. Blair complains as she says she is the #1 contender then Meiko says to make it a triple threat match.

Tiffany Stratton does a promo. She says Wendy Choo can't show her face around her after she beats her. She then says the women's division will be all about her.

Tony D meets up with the remaining members of LdF. He said they used all they could against him and it didn't work. He said this is why he's The Don. He said the past is the past though and the future of the family starts tonight with a win from Cruz and Wilde.

JD McDonagh does a promo. He says rehab is as important as preperation. He said he enjoyed Bron more than Bron did. He said you aren't truly challenged if you aren't put in hard situations. He said his pain tolerance is just growing then we see him hanging upsidedown.

Wes Lee is with Chance and Carter. He says there is something wrong with JD. He said everyone will be coming for the women's tag champs. Chance and Carter say they are the only true women's tag champs in WWE. They say anyone who wants titles can come get them.

Indi Hartwell says this is what rock bottom feels like. Indi says she is the problem, not Blair. She said she planned to stand on her own two feet and reignite her career 4 months ago, but is still in the same spot. Dexter Lumis then appears on the other side of the ring. Indi is shocked and they crawl to each other then hug. Indi kisses him in a nice moment as the crowd chants for InDex. They hold hands and Dexter carries her out.

Dexter hands her something, they kiss and we see police waiting for Dexter.Dexter is then arrested. Indi reads the letter and it says "Goodbye Indi" but we can't see the full thing.

Cora Jade is interviewed. She said everyone loves Roxanne Perez and if everyone loves her, what does that make her since she beat her? Cora tells people who complained about her not being DQ'd and said they need to go on a date with a girl and not an inflatable doll.

The Dyad vs Joquim Wilde and Cruz del Toro

Cruz hurricanrana's then springboards into an armdrag. Wilde and Cruz then tope both opponents. Tony tells them what they are doing is crap and says not to jump around like that. Cruz springboard crossbodies Fowler and Reed hits a step up enzugiri. Fowler topes Wilde outside. Fowler holds up Cruz then Reed plancha's him as he is held. Cameron Grimes is watching on from the riser and Cruz step up enzugiri's Fowler. Wilde springboard flip dives Reed then armdrags him.

Wilde flips off the ropes and armdrags Fowler then tornado ddt's Reed off of Fowler. Cruz is thrown out then Reed rolls up Wilde. Wilde rolls him up for 2. Wilde is dropkicked in the corner then takes a double team into a codebreaker by the Dyad win.

This was super fast paced and it was fine.

Tony D yells at Cruz and Wilde after.

Bernal walks in the hallway and is told "good match". Bernal talks to someone and says almost isn't good enough. He then runs into Hank Walker. Hank tells him not to talk to girls like that. Bernal says he can do anything he wants. Hank says it's time he goes in the showers.

We see LdF walk out of the arena upset. A car drives up to them and it's Santos Escobar. Santos said he wasn't leaving without them and said the familia stays together.

Tyler Bate vs Von Wagner

Von picks him up and shoulders him. Von lifts up Bate by his arm then Bate hits punches and chops. Bate dropkicks him and Bate hits corner punches. Von running boots him and Bron is seen watching on a tv in the back. Bate is thrown in the corner and splashed then Von gorilla press drops Bate.

Bate hits punches on Von and crossbodies him. Bate is caught, backbreakered and fallaway slammed. Bate kicks Von out then dives on him over the top. Bate hits punches then Von hits a stiff lariat. Von hits punches then Bate does a rebound lariat. Bate flips out of a chokeslam and rolling koppo kicks him. Bate exploders him then does a spiral tap off the top to win it.

Bate looked really small against Von here, too small to buy. He won and had to win, but his height was exposed here. This was one of the better things Von was involved in though.

Diamond Mine was in the back. Strong wasn't invited to the 6-man against Gallus. Jensen and Briggs then walk in and say to save a piece of Gallus for them. They agree and Strong says no. Briggs asks if Strong is running his mouth again and says the Creeds aren't the best team in NXT. The Creed's say after they beat Gallus, they will find out who the best team is in NXT. They say Strong's opinion doesn't count as much around here anymore.

Lights Out Match - Tiffany Stratton vs Wendy Choo

Wendy has her bed and night stand for her entrance. Wendy is wearing a one piece suit, not pajamas. Tiff has pink braids and darker hear. The lights are darkened for this.

They trade chops and Wendy leg lariats her. Wendy uses Tiff's tennis racket against her then hits her with a trash can. She dumps trash on Tiff and puts the can on her head. She then hits the can with the racket. Wendy hits corner spears on Mandy then running facekicks her.

Tiff uses a toolbox on her and misses a shot with a tool. Wendy puts a trash can between the ropes then lariats Tiff. Wendy overhead belly to belly suplexes Tiff then ends up doing a cartwheel into the trash can. Tiff bangs Wendy's head off the can. Wendy is thrown into the steps as we go to PiP break.

We come back from break and Wendy's bed is at ringside. Tiff powerslams her then misses a top rope moonsault. Wendy suplexes tiff on a chair then camel clutches her with some tool across her face. Tiff grabs her purse and sprays Wendy with something. Tiff hits her with a trash can then powerbombs her on the can for 2. Wendy grabs a pillow and hits Tiff. She reveals that it has legos inside of it and pours it on the mat. Tiff fallaway slams Wendy then slams her on the legos. Tiff running double stomps Wendy for 2.

Powder is thrown outside and Tiff is thrown through a bed. Wendy does a blind top rope splash on Tiff and wins it.

It was a full-on hardcore match here and it was fun. The bed spot was pretty cool and this was the best match Wendy has had in a while. Surprised to see Tiff take the loss here though.
We see Blair, Mandy and Meiko sign the contract for the double title match and see Bate and Bron do the same to close the show.

Overall thoughts: A very busy show. The main was good and Index reuniting was good. Indi's match was the only real bad thing here.

Dramatic Dream Team 8/20/2022 Wrestle Peter Pan 2022

Here's what I saw:

Burning (Yusuke Okada & Yuya Koroku) & Ilusion vs. Takeshi Masada, Toi Kojima & Yuki Ishida

Yuya and Masada start us off. They go to the mat. Toi and Illusion go at it. Illusion walks on his back and rolls off it. Toi armdrags him over the back and dropkicks him. Ishida slams Illusion then Masada elbow drops him. Ishida hiptosses Illusion then Illusion trades shots with Toi. Toi back elbows Illusion then Illusion bulldogs him off the cazadora.

Okada running facekicks Toi then suplexes him. Okada top rope headbutts Toi for 2. Toi and Okada trade chops then Toi step up kicks him. Masada hits forearms on Okada then chest kicks him down. Okada crabs Masada off a missed dropkick. Yuya and Masada trade forearms and Masa dropkicks him. Ishida running splashes Yuya and shoulders him over.

Yuya trips Ishida then kicks him in the arm, then sto's him for 2. Yuya kimura's Ishida into an AT lock which is broken up. Isihida does his sumo fishing throw and battering rams him. Ishida sitout spinebusters Yuya. Yuya rolls him into a strangle hold alpha and and grabs the win by twisting the wrist with it.

This was a fast paced opener and it was good with everyone getting a little time to shine. 

Keisuke Okuda, Kota Umeda & Naomi Yoshimura vs. Eruption (Hideki Okatani & Yukio Sakaguchi) & HARASHIMA

Everyone brawls to start and Yukio trades shots with Okuda. Okuda chest kicks him down. Oka back kicks Umeda and hits forearms on him. Umeda then kicks him in the back and stomps him. Naomi hits hard chops on Oka in the corner then slams him. Naomi elbow drops him for 2. Okuda kicks Oka hard then gives him a hard punch combo. He pushes on him with double boots then stands on his neck. Okuda forearms Oka down then Oka hits forearms on Umeda.

Umega front kicks Oka a bunch of times then does a flurry of those kicks. Oka 2nd rope dropkicks him. Yukio is tagged in and knocks his opponents off the apron. Umeda kicks him then Yukio kicks him back. They trade chest kicks then Umega trips him into a corner dropkick. Okuda then comes in and corner dropkicks Yukio. Okuda backdrops Yukio for 2. Okuda swings at Yukio and is rolled into a triangle + kimura combo. Harash gets in and springboard splashes Okuda for 2.

Okuda chokes Harash and Harash throws him from the choke position. Okuda flying knees Harash then Naomi chops Harash. Naomi running lariats Harash then throws him from the bearhug position. Harash legsweeps him into a knee to the head then Naomi hits a hard chop. Harash chest kicks Naomi and Naomi lariats him. Harash falcon arrows him.

Okuda double underhook suplexes Umeda then Harash buzzsaw kicks Naomi. Naomi side throws him for 2 then Harash hurricanrana's him and meteora's him to the back of the neck. Harash then meteora's him to win it.

This was another fun one here with a lot of hard shots. Umeda looked real good here and it was cool to see Okuda here.

DDT Extreme Title Hardcore Match - Joey Janela (c) vs. Shunma Katsumata

 

They trade forearms to start then Shun hurricanrana's him. Shun dropkicks him then moonsaults off the 2nd outside rope connector on him. Joey ddt's him on the floor and grabs his lego bat. Joey goes to the back and rides a bike in at Shun and Shun hits him with his bat and makes him crash. Joey then does some dangerous looking emerald flowsion type of drop on Shun on the apron.

Two tables are set up outside and barbed wire boards are put on the tables. Shun tries to tope con hilo Joey but Joey moves and he goes through the barbed wire boards and tables. Shun then gets the barbed wire put in his face and he bleeds. Shun is whipped into the bleachers outside the ring. Joey gets superkicked onto a table then Shun climbs the bleachers. Shun jumps off the bleachers and splashes Joey through the table.

Shun hits Joey with a chair then hits him with another as it is on his neck. Joey lariats him and brainbusters him for 2. Joey death valley drivers him for 2 and they trade forearms. Shun 2nd rope canadian destroyers Joey and Joey pops right back up with a running uppercut. Shun suplexes Joey then gets legos out and tacks are poured out too.

Shun takes off Joey's shoes and socks. Joey then release germans Shun onto the legos. Joey goes for a double stomp off the ladder but ends up landing in the legos and tacks barefoot. Shun goes up top, grabs his arms and footstomps him down. Shun handcuffs Joey to the ropes and chairs him. Shun dangles the key in his face and Joey low blows him and uncuffs himself. Joey handcuffs him and throws the key out then piledrivers him for 2.

Joey brings in a table and a barbed wire board. Joey throws tacks and legos at Shun and is dropkicked. Shun is uncuffed then he cuffs himself to Joey. They slap each other and climb a ladder. Joey death valley drivers him off the ladder onto the barbed wire board and table to win it.

This was total indy crap with no selling and little logic. It also went on forever.

DDT Universal Title Match - Masahiro Takanashi (c) vs. Yuki Ueno

Masa throws Ueno by the hair but he cartwheels out. Ueno armdrags him then flips out of a fireman's carry. Ueno hurricanrana's him out. Ueno tries to plancha him but gets Toi Kojima instead. Masa then throws Ueno into the post. Masa hits elbows to the neck of Ueno and Ueno overhead belly to bellies him. Ueno then hits a nice corkscrew plancha on him outside. Ueno rolls out of a sunset flip and double kneedrops Masa. Masa 2nd rope blockbusters him then does a nice submission hold into a drop.

Ueno headscissors Masa over the top then ddt's him on the floor. Ueno then piledrivers him over the 2nd rope and pumphandle bombs him. Ueno hits a nice top rope frogsplash for 2 then Masa backdrops him. Ueno half-nelson suplexes him and they trade a variety of shots. Ueno takes a headbutt then flying knees him. Masa almost runs into the ref then does the stupid move where he has the ref sunset bomb Ueo. Masa crucifix bombs him for 2. Ueno exploders Masa then picks him up for a suplex, lifts him and sit out drops him. Ueno blocks a sunset bomb then Masa rolls out of his forward rolling ddt for 2. Ueno then hits his forward rolling ddt and wins it.

The last portion of this was messy with some real contrived spots and they didn't bother selling much of it. They kept the pace fast and the first half was okay until they started going overboard.

The 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita & MAO) & Yasu Urano vs. DAMNATION T.A (Daisuke Sasaki & KANON) & Dick Togo

Togo tries a dirty ropebreak on Mao to start and Mao gets out. Togo does a fireman's carry to Mao on the mat and Togo headlocks him. Mao gets out and they stand off. KT and Sasaki go at it. Sasaki does a nice counter off a blue thunder and they face off. Kanon then nails KT from behind. KT takes a double back elbow and is chinlocked. KT does a nice dropkick on Sasaki then Urano atomic drops Sasaki and dropkicks him as he hangs over the ropes. We get some brawling around the ring from everyone and Paul nails Urano in the gut. He throws him into the post and ref watches and does nothing. Paul then nails Urano with a table piece.

Togo hits nice punches on Urano and headstand chinlocks him. Kanon knees Urano in the gut and jumping fist drops him. Mao top rope knee drops Kanon in the back then dropkicks him off the ropes. Mao jumping sidekicks Kanon then running euros him for 2. Kanon hits a nice dropkick on Mao then Mao and Togo trade punches. Mao drops him with a straight punch.

Mao misses a split legged moonsault and is rolled up into a crossface. Mao rolls Togo into a pin off of it. Sasaki gets in and neckbreakers Mao then Mao does a jumping leg lariat. KT hits his flying lariat on Sasaki then plancha's Togo outside before clearing off Damnation. KT blue thunders Sasaki for 2. KT running facekicks Sasaki. He goes to german him then Sasaki grabs the ref to stop it. KT blocks Sasaki's spear then KT hits a big lariat. Mao dropkicks Kanon then Mao's team does triple dives onto their opponents. Sasaki gets his legs up on KT's top rope splash then hurricanrana's him.

KT does a nice deadlift wheelbarrow german then Sasaki hits la mistica on him into a crossface. Togo crossfaces Urano at the same time. Togo and Sasaki hit stereo pedigrees on their opponents and Sasaki misses a top rope elbow. Sasaki dropkicks KT into a roll-up. Kanon takes a Urano enzugiri then a Mao corkscrew kick. KT then pumping knees him. The ref is pulled out and Paul comes in. KT suplexes Paul and KT takes a chair to the back. Kanon flips KT with a lariat and volleyball spikes him. KT does a nice jumping knee on him and wins it.

Damnation should have been DQ'd a couple of times here but it was fine otherwise with the faces overcoming the heels and a quick pace.

KO-D Openweight Title Match - Kazusada Higuchi (c) vs. Tetsuya Endo

Kobashi was there to hold up the belt for the photo. They lock up and Endo tries to shoulder him but is knocked down. They grab each other by the face then Endo takes him down into a headscissors. Endo dropkicks him out of the ring. He ends up on Higuchi's shoulders out there and is dropped face first on the apron then facekicked.

They trade shots inside and Endo takes chops. Higuchi running lariats him in the corner and slams him. Higuchi misses an elbow from the 2nd rope and catches Endo's springboard with a claw. Endo suplexes him. Higuchi is seated on top then Endo runs up the buckles and dropkicks him to the floor. Endo then hits the flying space tiger drop outside. Endo then springboard forearms him inside.

Endo running back elbows him then tornado ddt's him. Endo does a nice set-up into a moss covered 3 handed family gradunza. Higuchi catches his handspring into a moonsault. Higuchi claws him as he is on the top and pushes him down hard onto the apron. Higuchi gets him in and comes off the 2nd rope to elbow drop him. They trade chops.

Higuchi backdrops him and and Endo handspring back enzugiri's him. Endo hits a sitout last ride powerbomb for 2. They fight up top and Endo front superplexes him from up there. Higuchi doctor bombs him for 2 and Endo backdrops him out of a brain claw attempt. Endo flips out of two germans then standing spanish fly's him. Endo exploder suplexes him then spinning rack bombs him for 2. Endo top rope ssp's him and Higuchi brain claws him out of the attempt. Endo then lifts him up out of it into a claw uranage.

Higuchi running dropkicks him and slaps him. Higuchi then just running shoves him. Higuchi hits a stiff lariat and hits two more stiff lariats. Higuchi running shoves him into the buckles then claw uranages him for the win.

Good match. Not so much of a story here but they paced it well and there were some good high points to it. They did do a little too much, but it is a big show so maybe some of it can be excused. They didn't go too crazy with it though, so that helps it. I would have liked to have seen Higuchi act more like a monster and Endo act more like an underdog though as that would have really made this better.

Overall thoughts: There was a lot of decent to good stuff here minus the Janela match. The main was good and the three 6-man's were also good.
