This aired on a Thursday due to Summerslam. We are on our last night in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.
Wheeler Yuta throws a security guard down in front of Nigel and Tony. Marina Shafir and Jon Moxley then come out. Mox says 8 months ago, Darby Allin was thrown down the steps and ended up in the hospital. He says that was a clear message to get gone and stay gone. He says since Darby didn't get himself killed on Everest, he's back here.
Darby Allin then appears in the balcony. Mox tells him to come out here so they can have the tough conversation one last time. Darby walks away. The Death Riders go to look for him.

Band is crotched up top. King is back body dropped on the ramp by Toa. Kaun sideslams Band on the top buckle. We go to PiP break and return. Band is held for a splash from Toa for 2.
Toa catches Band's crossbody but Band hits a spinning ddt out of it. King gets in and chops up The Gates. King splashes them both in the corner. King corner cannonballs Toa. King and Band do stereo topes out.
King crossbodies Toa against the rails then Band dives on Kaun against the rails, sending him over them. Band top rope splashes Toa. Kaun corner meteora Band. Toa dives off the apron onto King then Kaun 2nd rope powerbombs Band. Band is double dropped onto his chest. King death valley drivers Toa on the apron.
King superplexes Kaun. Band is monkey flipped into a 450 on Kaun and pins him.
Thoughts: They did too much here. It was very action packed, to the point that the camera's had trouble with some of the spots. I didn't like The Gates losing here, but I had called it and knew it was coming. I'd like to see this again just with a bit more selling.
Don Callis and Lance Archer are interviewed. Don says after the match tonight, they will have all the titles, the money and the power. Shane Taylor comes in. He says Don needs to pay what he owes. Don says he knows he's not stepping to him about money. Lance gets in Shane's face and they argue. Don says he sees Skyflight as a problem to his family and says if Shane's crew can take care of them, they can talk about his money later.
Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong are interviewed. Kyle says he never left The Conglomeration and it's a lifestyle. Strong says he came to AEW to help his best friend, lost him, got him back and lost him again. Kyle says he had fun on his birthday, right? Kyle says The Conglomeration has no pressure. Willow Nightingale, Ishii and Hologram walk in. Kyle says they enjoyed the Brazilian butt lift birthday bash. Kyle says they should do more team bonding tonight. Willow says she has a match with Thekla and needs to warm up.
The Death Riders are looking for Darby Allin in the back. Darby jumps Mox and puts a towel or something in his mouth and pulls him into the dark somewhere.
Kris Statlander vs Lena Kross
There was a story this week about TNA trying to sign Lena and trying to bring her to the US. They didn't sign her for some reason yet and now she's here.
Lea side headlocks Kris of a headlock. Kris side headlocks her and shoulders her over. Kris suplexes her. Lena back elbows her in the corner then pump kicks her. Lena germans her. Kris hits a stiff lariat.
Kris flying knees her in the corner. Kris then electric chair drops her forward. Kris then submits her with a new headscissors + arm submission.
Thoughts: It was short. Lena had some extra pep in her step and seemed worthy of coming back. She lost as expected though.
Kris poses near the ramp then Willow Nightingale comes out with her music. Kris raises her hands and walks away.
Thekla vs Willow Nightingale
Willow waistlocks her. Thek goes in the corner and Thek's buddies Julia and Skye surround her. Thek. kicks Willow and bangs her head off the buckles. Thek bridges out of a lariat. Willow shoulders her over.

Willow death valley drivers her for 2. They botch get crotched up top. Thek spide superplexes her. Thek top rope crossbodies Willow. Willow running lariats Thek. Thek corner cannonballs her. Thek's buddies get on the apron and Willow hits them. Thek spears Willow then curb stomps her for the win.
Thoughts: I liked this one. It was a hard hitting match with the two stiffing each other. Thek won as expected here.
Willow is pounded on after by the heels. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford then come out. Ford joins in on the beating. Meg goes for a move then Queen Aminata, Tay Melo and Anna Jay come out with weapons and the heels leave.
Billy Gunn is interviewed. He is asked about throwing Bowens off of Max. Bowens comes in. He says Gunn didn't text him or call him. He says Gunn told him to take care of a slopbuster. Bowens said he did the way Gunn told him to. He said Gunn wasn't there again and should have been there punching his face with him. Gunn says he doesn't know who he is anymore, but he'll be at home when he is. Bowens tells him to walk away like a coward.
We see Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland talking outside earlier in the day. Swerve says him and Will took The Bucks' power away. He complains about them taking their frustrations out on The Outrunners. He says he will set things right if they keep abusing their power. He basically says he will keep an eye on Okada and says if Okada waves a new title around his face, he will want it. He says Forbidden Door is coming up and they will have a conversation about it soon.
Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada do a promo. Don says he's the best bell to bell wrestler in the world and Mr. Big Match and Mr. Clutch. He says Nana is a degenerate manager. We go to PiP break and return. Cash goes crotch first into the 2nd buckle. Cash abdominal stretches Gunn. Gunn hiptosses out. Gunn makes a tag but the ref doesn't see it. JR chases Dax around the ring then Gunn is hit with a hart attack for 2.
Cash misses a dive off the apron and goes into the rails. JR gets in and shoulders Dax over. He hits punches on him. Juice spinebusters Dax. Juice leg lariats Cash. Juice corner lariats Cash then running lariats him. dax tries to pin Juice while holding onto Stoke's crutch. Cash is catapulted outside by JR. Dax is hit with a powerplex. Thoughts: It was the usual long FTR match with multiple false finishes. It was what you would expect and it was a good match but not quite great.
Technique by Tazz
Tazz shows up clips of Athena's o-face.
Athena does a promo. She said Toni took an o-face and it was the most beautiful thing she saw. She said she doesn't respect Toni and it'll be the most entertaining to see her lose. She says Toni doesn't have the best luck in London and she will beat her. She says no door is forbidden to her. She tells Toni to shine up the title nice as when she activates the contract, no one will stop her.
Max Caster is in the ring. He says we are looking at the best wrestler alive. He says he has bad memories in this city. He says he's here to cheer up the fans in Chiraq and says they get to cheer his name. They then do Max's chant. Max says none of the people here can hang with him just like Bowens. He says the crowd gets worse like Bowens. He says he's not a bland crybaby b!tch like Bowens. He says to put 5 minutes on the clock and see who can survive 5 with the best wrestler alive.
5-Minute Open Challenge - Max Caster vs Rush
Max slides out and then avoids him. Max goofs around outside. Max then runs into a Rush forearm outside. Max is sent into the rails. Rush pounds on him outside against the rails. Max is thrown in then he plancha's Rush.
Rush hits chops on Max then forearms him in the corner. Rush facekicks him in the corner. Rush powerslams him. The 5-Minute time limit runs out on Rush and Max survives.
Thoughts: Does Max win? I guess. It wasn't because he was great or anything, Rush just didn't do much and wasted time. It wasn't that interesting and it was clear it was either going the distance or going close to it after a minute or so.
Rush hits his corner dropkick on Max. Max is triple stomped on. Jet Speed and AR Fox then make the save for some reason. They fight to the back. Max is still down and raises his fist.
We see clips of Mercedes Mone defending her RevPro Title in England and we are told she has won another title.
Skyflight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin and Darius Martin) vs Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Shawn Dean and Carlee Bravo)
Sky kicks Shane then running forearms him. Shane punches him. Sky is triple teamed in the corner. Sky dropkicks Bravo. Bravo takes a double back elbow. Darius tornado ddt's Bravo for 2. Darius is stunnered over the apron then Shane legdrops him there.
We go to PiP break and return. Dante hits a double hurricanrana on The Infantry. Dante enzugiri's Dean form the apron then springboard crossbodies him. Dante hits forearms on Shane. Shane drops him with one.
Dean is hit with a jumping knee from Dante. Sky flying facekicks Shane off the apron. Dante topes Shane outside. Sky TKO's Dean and wins.
Thoughts: It was a little shorter than it should have been but it was full of action and it was fine for what it was. Skyflight won as expected and The Infantry just making TV is a win for them.
Darby Allin has dragged Mox outside near steps and train tracks. He tries to throw Mox off steps and security grabs him.
TNT Title - Street Fight - Dustin Rhodes vs Kyle Fletcher
Kyle shoves him and gets punched several times. DR punches him outside. DR kicks him low to block a kendo stick shot. DR then hits him with the kendo stick. Kyle ddt's him on the steps.

DR uppercuts him then hits a cross rhodes. They duel chairs. DR hits him in the gut and back with it. Kyle superkicks a chair into DR's face. Kyle tombstones him onto two open chairs for 2. They fight on the buckles. DR 2nd rope canadian destroyers him through a table for 2. DR pulls out a blow with tacks on it. DR iron claws him with it. Kyle kicks him low.
Kyle brings out tacks. Kyle superkicks DR. DR powerslams him onto the tacks. DR hits punches on him in the corner. DR puts a bag of tacks in Kyle's crotch then kicks the tacks into his crotch. Don Callis gives Kyle a screw driver and Kyle hits DR with it. Kyle tells Don to come here. Kyle stabs DR in the knee with a screw driver and it gets stuck. The doc comes to check on DR.
Kyle corner facekicks him then DR cradles him for 2. Kyle knees him in the face then brainbusters him for the win.
Thoughts: They did too much here which wasn't surprising. The 2nd rope canadian destroyer through the table meant nothing which sucked. Even if Kyle protected himself, getting tacks kicked in your crotch is not a real smart idea. I don't get the logic behind having Kyle win here and not at All In. That made no sense.
Kyle bangs DR's leg off the post. Don then holds the leg so Kyle can chair it. Kyle celebrates with Lance and Hechicero on top of the stage and Dustin is stretchered out.
Overall thoughts: It was a very heavy wrestling edition of Collision, though most Collision episodes are. The opener was action packed but they did too much and didn't sell much. Kris/Lena was short. Thek/Willow was a good stiff battle. I liked FTR vs The Gang. Max shockingly lasted the 5 minutes in his open challenge. Skyflight/STP was fine. They did too much in the main and I didn't like a 2nd rope canadian destroyer through a table not meaning anything. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as we had some happenings with Darby/Mox, Max lasting the challenge, some decent tag tournament matches and a main with some interesting moments. I'd say it was good overall, but it did feel a bit long.
