AEW Collision 7/31/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/aew-collision-7262025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/aew-collision-892025.html

This aired on a Thursday due to Summerslam. We are on our last night in Chicago, Illinois. Tony Schiavone and Nigel McGuinness are on commentary.

Wheeler Yuta throws a security guard down in front of Nigel and Tony. Marina Shafir and Jon Moxley then come out. Mox says 8 months ago, Darby Allin was thrown down the steps and ended up in the hospital. He says that was a clear message to get gone and stay gone. He says since Darby didn't get himself killed on Everest, he's back here.

Darby Allin then appears in the balcony. Mox tells him to come out here so they can have the tough conversation one last time. Darby walks away. The Death Riders go to look for him.

AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament 1st Round - Bandido and Brody King vs The Gates of Agony (Toa Liona and Bishop Kaun)

The GoA should win here, but they aren't going to. Band and Kaun shoulder battle. Kaun shoulders him over. Kaun leapfrogs, Band headflips and is back elbowed. Band dropkicks Kaun. Toa wants King but doesn't get him.

Toa throws Band into the corner and King tags in. Toa and King shoulder battle. Toa is lariated over the top. King helps Band springboard crossbody Kaun. Toa takes a low lariat from King. Band is dropped onto Toa by King.

Band is crotched up top. King is back body dropped on the ramp by Toa. Kaun sideslams Band on the top buckle. We go to PiP break and return. Band is held for a splash from Toa for 2.

Toa catches Band's crossbody but Band hits a spinning ddt out of it. King gets in and chops up The Gates. King splashes them both in the corner. King corner cannonballs Toa. King and Band do stereo topes out.

King crossbodies Toa against the rails then Band dives on Kaun against the rails, sending him over them. Band top rope splashes Toa. Kaun corner meteora Band. Toa dives off the apron onto King then Kaun 2nd rope powerbombs Band. Band is double dropped onto his chest. King death valley drivers Toa on the apron.

King superplexes Kaun. Band is monkey flipped into a 450 on Kaun and pins him.

Thoughts:
They did too much here. It was very action packed, to the point that the camera's had trouble with some of the spots. I didn't like The Gates losing here, but I had called it and knew it was coming. I'd like to see this again just with a bit more selling.

Don Callis and Lance Archer are interviewed. Don says after the match tonight, they will have all the titles, the money and the power. Shane Taylor comes in. He says Don needs to pay what he owes. Don says he knows he's not stepping to him about money. Lance gets in Shane's face and they argue. Don says he sees Skyflight as a problem to his family and says if Shane's crew can take care of them, they can talk about his money later.

Kyle O'Reilly and Roderick Strong are interviewed. Kyle says he never left The Conglomeration and it's a lifestyle. Strong says he came to AEW to help his best friend, lost him, got him back and lost him again. Kyle says he had fun on his birthday, right? Kyle says The Conglomeration has no pressure. Willow Nightingale, Ishii and Hologram walk in. Kyle says they enjoyed the Brazilian butt lift birthday bash. Kyle says they should do more team bonding tonight. Willow says she has a match with Thekla and needs to warm up.

The Death Riders are looking for Darby Allin in the back. Darby jumps Mox and puts a towel or something in his mouth and pulls him into the dark somewhere.

Kris Statlander vs Lena Kross

There was a story this week about TNA trying to sign Lena and trying to bring her to the US. They didn't sign her for some reason yet and now she's here.

Lea side headlocks Kris of a headlock. Kris side headlocks her and shoulders her over. Kris suplexes her. Lena back elbows her in the corner then pump kicks her. Lena germans her. Kris hits a stiff lariat.

Kris flying knees her in the corner. Kris then electric chair drops her forward. Kris then submits her with a new headscissors + arm submission.

Thoughts:
It was short. Lena had some extra pep in her step and seemed worthy of coming back. She lost as expected though.

Kris poses near the ramp then Willow Nightingale comes out with her music. Kris raises her hands and walks away.

Thekla vs Willow Nightingale

Willow waistlocks her. Thek goes in the corner and Thek's buddies Julia and Skye surround her. Thek. kicks Willow and bangs her head off the buckles. Thek bridges out of a lariat. Willow shoulders her over.

Willow low crossbodies her. Willow pounces her. WIllow is sent into the steps outside. We go to PiP break and return. Thek hanging headscissors Willow over the top rope.

Willow hits lariats on Thek. Willow backsplashes her then 2nd rope dropkicks her. Thek slaps her. Willow hits a hard back elbow and slaps back. Thek facekicks her on the ropes. Willow lariats Thek on the apron.

Willow death valley drivers her for 2. They botch get crotched up top. Thek spide superplexes her. Thek top rope crossbodies Willow. Willow running lariats Thek. Thek corner cannonballs her. Thek's buddies get on the apron and Willow hits them. Thek spears Willow then curb stomps her for the win.

Thoughts:
I liked this one. It was a hard hitting match with the two stiffing each other. Thek won as expected here.

Willow is pounded on after by the heels. Megan Bayne and Penelope Ford then come out. Ford joins in on the beating. Meg goes for a move then Queen Aminata, Tay Melo and Anna Jay come out with weapons and the heels leave.

Billy Gunn is interviewed. He is asked about throwing Bowens off of Max. Bowens comes in. He says Gunn didn't text him or call him. He says Gunn told him to take care of a slopbuster. Bowens said he did the way Gunn told him to. He said Gunn wasn't there again and should have been there punching his face with him. Gunn says he doesn't know who he is anymore, but he'll be at home when he is. Bowens tells him to walk away like a coward.

We see Prince Nana and Swerve Strickland talking outside earlier in the day. Swerve says him and Will took The Bucks' power away. He complains about them taking their frustrations out on The Outrunners. He says he will set things right if they keep abusing their power. He basically says he will keep an eye on Okada and says if Okada waves a new title around his face, he will want it. He says Forbidden Door is coming up and they will have a conversation about it soon.

Don Callis and Kazuchika Okada do a promo. Don says he's the best bell to bell wrestler in the world and Mr. Big Match and Mr. Clutch. He says Nana is a degenerate manager. He says the problem Swerve has is that he is missing class. He says he also takes strategic advice from a back-up dancer, coffee salesman, piece of degenerate garbage. He says if Swerve is looking for them to make excuses, Okada has an answer. Okada says they don't need to talk, let's just fight b!tch at Forbidden Door.

AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament 2nd Round - FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) vs The Bang Bang Gang (Juice Robinson and Austin Gunn)

Daniel Garcia is on commentary for this. The Gang has cutouts of Jay and Colten with them and they put the cutouts near the commentary table.

JR side headlocks Dax and cradles him for 2. Dax side headlocks Gunn then shoulders him over. Dax hiptosses him. Dax chops JR and JR chops him down. Dax's head is banged off the buckles. We see Bryan Keith and Big Bill watching in the back. Dax back elbows Gunn.

Cash chops Gunn. Gunn chops back. JR's head is banged off the buckles by Cash. JR punches both FTR members. FTR take lariats then back body drops. FTR is then lariated over the top rope together. We go to PiP break and return. Cash goes crotch first into the 2nd buckle. Cash abdominal stretches Gunn. Gunn hiptosses out. Gunn makes a tag but the ref doesn't see it. JR chases Dax around the ring then Gunn is hit with a hart attack for 2.

Cash misses a dive off the apron and goes into the rails. JR gets in and shoulders Dax over. He hits punches on him. Juice spinebusters Dax. Juice leg lariats Cash. Juice corner lariats Cash then running lariats him. dax tries to pin Juice while holding onto Stoke's crutch. Cash is catapulted outside by JR. Dax is hit with a powerplex. Cash top rope splashes Dax on accident.

Dax is sent into Cash and JR rolls up Cash for 2. JR blade runners Dax for 2. JR forearms Cash then Gunn fameassers Dax for 2. Cash sends JR into the steps outside. Gunn goes for the pin, Stoke distracts the ref, Cash lariats Gunn and Dax picks up the pin while holding the tights.

Thoughts: It was the usual long FTR match with multiple false finishes. It was what you would expect and it was a good match but not quite great.

Technique by Tazz

Tazz shows up clips of Athena's o-face.

Athena does a promo. She said Toni took an o-face and it was the most beautiful thing she saw. She said she doesn't respect Toni and it'll be the most entertaining to see her lose. She says Toni doesn't have the best luck in London and she will beat her. She says no door is forbidden to her. She tells Toni to shine up the title nice as when she activates the contract, no one will stop her.

Max Caster is in the ring. He says we are looking at the best wrestler alive. He says he has bad memories in this city. He says he's here to cheer up the fans in Chiraq and says they get to cheer his name. They then do Max's chant. Max says none of the people here can hang with him just like Bowens. He says the crowd gets worse like Bowens. He says he's not a bland crybaby b!tch like Bowens. He says to put 5 minutes on the clock and see who can survive 5 with the best wrestler alive.

5-Minute Open Challenge - Max Caster vs Rush

Max slides out and then avoids him. Max goofs around outside. Max then runs into a Rush forearm outside. Max is sent into the rails. Rush pounds on him outside against the rails. Max is thrown in then he plancha's Rush.

Rush hits chops on Max then forearms him in the corner. Rush facekicks him in the corner. Rush powerslams him. The 5-Minute time limit runs out on Rush and Max survives.

Thoughts: Does Max win? I guess. It wasn't because he was great or anything, Rush just didn't do much and wasted time. It wasn't that interesting and it was clear it was either going the distance or going close to it after a minute or so.

Rush hits his corner dropkick on Max. Max is triple stomped on. Jet Speed and AR Fox then make the save for some reason. They fight to the back. Max is still down and raises his fist.

We see clips of Mercedes Mone defending her RevPro Title in England and we are told she has won another title.

Skyflight (Scorpio Sky, Dante Martin and Darius Martin) vs Shane Taylor Promotions (Shane Taylor, Shawn Dean and Carlee Bravo)

Sky kicks Shane then running forearms him. Shane punches him. Sky is triple teamed in the corner. Sky dropkicks Bravo. Bravo takes a double back elbow. Darius tornado ddt's Bravo for 2. Darius is stunnered over the apron then Shane legdrops him there.

We go to PiP break and return. Dante hits a double hurricanrana on The Infantry. Dante enzugiri's Dean form the apron then springboard crossbodies him. Dante hits forearms on Shane. Shane drops him with one.

Dean is hit with a jumping knee from Dante. Sky flying facekicks Shane off the apron. Dante topes Shane outside. Sky TKO's Dean and wins.

Thoughts
: It was a little shorter than it should have been but it was full of action and it was fine for what it was. Skyflight won as expected and The Infantry just making TV is a win for them.

Darby Allin has dragged Mox outside near steps and train tracks. He tries to throw Mox off steps and security grabs him.

TNT Title - Street Fight - Dustin Rhodes vs Kyle Fletcher

Kyle shoves him and gets punched several times. DR punches him outside. DR kicks him low to block a kendo stick shot. DR then hits him with the kendo stick. Kyle ddt's him on the steps.

DR is hit against a table. Kyle tries to tope him against it but goes through the table when DR moves. DR hits him with a cowbell twice for 2. DR tries to bulldog him off the apron through a table but Kyle does go with it and DR goes through it hard. DR holds his knee in pain as the doc checks on him. We go to PiP break and return. Kyle whips him with the bull rope and hits him with the bell on it. DR code red's him for 2. They trade punches.

DR uppercuts him then hits a cross rhodes. They duel chairs. DR hits him in the gut and back with it. Kyle superkicks a chair into DR's face. Kyle tombstones him onto two open chairs for 2.  They fight on the buckles. DR 2nd rope canadian destroyers him through a table for 2. DR pulls out a blow with tacks on it. DR iron claws him with it. Kyle kicks him low.

Kyle brings out tacks. Kyle superkicks DR. DR powerslams him onto the tacks. DR hits punches on him in the corner. DR puts a bag of tacks in Kyle's crotch then kicks the tacks into his crotch. Don Callis gives Kyle a screw driver and Kyle hits DR with it. Kyle tells Don to come here. Kyle stabs DR in the knee with a screw driver and it gets stuck. The doc comes to check on DR.

Kyle corner facekicks him then DR cradles him for 2. Kyle knees him in the face then brainbusters him for the win.

Thoughts:
They did too much here which wasn't surprising. The 2nd rope canadian destroyer through the table meant nothing which sucked. Even if Kyle protected himself, getting tacks kicked in your crotch is not a real smart idea. I don't get the logic behind having Kyle win here and not at All In. That made no sense.

Kyle bangs DR's leg off the post. Don then holds the leg so Kyle can chair it. Kyle celebrates with Lance and Hechicero on top of the stage and Dustin is stretchered out.

Overall thoughts: It was a very heavy wrestling edition of Collision, though most Collision episodes are. The opener was action packed but they did too much and didn't sell much. Kris/Lena was short. Thek/Willow was a good stiff battle. I liked FTR vs The Gang. Max shockingly lasted the 5 minutes in his open challenge. Skyflight/STP was fine. They did too much in the main and I didn't like a 2nd rope canadian destroyer through a table not meaning anything. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as we had some happenings with Darby/Mox, Max lasting the challenge, some decent tag tournament matches and a main with some interesting moments. I'd say it was good overall, but it did feel a bit long.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/wwe-evolve-862025.html

Pete Rosenberg and Robert Stone are on commentary.

We get a video hyping up Keanu Carver vs Sean Legacy.

Bryce Donovan vs Marcus Mathers

They lock up and MM side headlocks him. BD shoulders him over then slams him. MM top rope twisting crossbodies him. BD sends MM's face into the 2nd buckle hard. BD then boots him out of the ring and MM goes into the camera man in the process.

BD clubs him then cobra twists him. MM chops him. BD misses a corner facekick. MM dropkicks him in the knee then the head. MM lariats him. MM 2nd rope os cutters him then basement dropkicks him for 2.

BD pop-up powerbombs him then diving forearms him into the mat. BD running lariats him for 2. MM rolls him up for 2. MM hook kicks him.

MM enzugiri's him from the apron then fights off The Vanity Project outside. MM goes for a dive but Zayda Steel blocks him. BD then black hole slams MM and wins.

Thoughts: It was one of Bryce's better matches so far in Evolve as he wrestled as a giant here and used his size and power against MM. MM did what he was supposed to do as the underdog in this and I thought it was an okay match.

Timothy Thatcher and Sean Legacy talk in the back. Sean says Keanu will pay for what he did. Tim says he appreciates it. He says to be focused on him though as he's a very dangerous man. Tim says he's not the same man that he was before he got in the ring with him. He says to be prepared physically and mentally and says he will try to hurt him. Tim says he believes he can slay the giant if he fights through the pain.

After a break, Kali Armstrong comes out. She asks where Jin Tala is. She says she didn't become the first Evolve champ by sneaking up on people, she faced them face to face. She tells her to come and say it to her face.

Tyra Mae Steele comes out instead. She says she won the triple threat and Kali should worry about her instead. She says if she focuses on Jin, she'll have more gold in her collection. Kali says nobody knows who she is and she doesn't care who she is. She says she needs to get out as she is only looking for Jin Tala. Tyra says she will find out who she is .

Jin Tala comes out. She says her methods got her attention. She says she will give her what she wants if she gives her an Evolve Women's Title match. Kali agrees and says let's go. Tyra asks how Jin can attack these women and get a title match. Tyra says she won LFG and Jin got eliminated. Kali says no one cares that she won LFG. She says she needs to wait in line. Jin pushes Tyra into her. Jin spin kicks Tyra in the gut then sends Tyra then Kali into the corner shoulder first.

Chuey Martinez talks to Jamar Hampton in the back. He says tonight will be special vs Jack. He says he's the top dog in the Performance Center and has 8 records. He says Jack has more experience and he needs to dictate the pace of the match. he says it's not gymnastics, it's Evolve.

It's GAL comes in. He says he doesn't like Jamar, but not as much as he hates Adrenaline Drip (Cartwheel and Cappuccino).

Jack Cartwheel vs Jamar Hampton

Jack has Cappuccino Jones with him. Jamar backs him up in the corner. Jack kips down out of a charge and kips up. Jamar wristlocks him, Jack cartwheels out and side headlocks him. Jack side headlock takeovers him out of the corner.

Jamar shoulders him over. Jack dropsaults him and lands on his feet. Jamar japanese armdrags him, kips up and dropkicks him for 2. Jamar corner splashes him then misses one. Jack handstand legsweeps him on the apron. Jack then bodyspringboard twisting splashes him.

Jack armlocks him. Jack takes him down by the leg then indian deathlocks him. Jamar boots him away then hits running forearms. Jamar flying back elbows him. Jamar then hits a big headhunter for 2. Jamar slams him and Jack rolls out. Jamar misses a plancha outside. Jack the flying space tiger drops him outside. Jack does a body springboard 450 for 2. Jack runs at him and is pop-up dropped. It's Gal comes out and Jack hits a top rope corkscrew ssp. Jack then wins.

Thoughts: I liked this one and thought it was a good match. Jamar really looks like the next big thing. He's big, he's in shape, he can move and like Oba Femi, the question is more when than if. He and Jack matched up well. Jack did some great flying here with a new body springboard 450 that I hadn't seen before. This couldn't have gone much better than it did. It's GAL come out here but he oddly didn't get involved.

Zara Zakher does a sit down promo. She says she's never been the biggest girl but she knows her skills and she knows she's athletic. She says the girls in the locker room are insane and it takes courage to get out of your comfort zone. She says she wants to see if she measures up and wants to show why she belongs.

Next week has Wendy Choo vs Carlee Bright and Kali Armstrong vs Jin Tala for the Evolve Women's Title.

Sean Legacy vs Keanu Carver

Sean chops him in the corner then hits a flurry of shots. KC shoulders him over. Sean is thrown hard into the corner and goes down. KC misses a corner charge. Sean double stomps his back and dropkicks him. Sean is popped up onto the top rope and rebounds down. KC hits a hard fallaway slam.

KC punches him then drops him with a forearm. KC throws him out, Sean skins the cat and headscissors him out. KC catches Sean's tope. KC is sent into the post then Sean baseball slides him. Sean then topes him.

Sean boots him out of the corner. Sean lands on his feet off a moonsault and is pounced. KC knees him in the gut then chokes him on the ropes. KC does a grounded cobra clutch.

KC hits a big backbreaker for 2. KC corner spears him for 2. KC hits another corner spear. Sean hits shots to the gut. KC bearhugs him. KC hits a world's strongest slam for 2. KC misses a vader bomb.

Sean hits running lariats then KC pops him up and is ddt'd. Sean hits chest kicks. Sean spin kicks him then hits a slow german for 2. Sean goes to springboard, gets caught and KC lets him drop into a forearm.

Sean superkicks him then 619's him in the gut. Sean springboard dropkicks him for 2. Sean goes for the shambles and is grabbed by the ear. KC hits an enka otoshi variation and wins.

Thoughts:
Not perfect but the idea was there and it was alright enough. Oddly, we had 3 big vs small man matches on this one and the last of them. The finish wasn't hit clean as KC tries to flip him off the ropes but couldn't do it one motion.

KC says no one in the ID Project will stop him. He says Jackson Drake and The Vanity Project can't stop him and he's coming for all of them.

Overall thoughts: There were only 3 matches here. All 3 were fine though and oddly, all 3 had big man vs small man themes to it. Cartwheel vs Hampton was the best thing on here with Hampton continuing to look like the next big thing and Jack doing some nice flying. Bryce vs Mathers was better than expected. The main was okay but not as good as I had hoped. I'd give this a 6 out of 10 total but I still feel like this show needs a little something more and I don't know what that is.

CMLL on MVS TV 7/26/2025

CMLL on MVS TV 7/26/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/cmll-on-mvs-tv-7192025.html

Hijo top rope diving headscissors Alom then tope con hilos him under the top buckle. Val top rope moonsaults over the post outside.

Yu falcon arrows DG. Oku goes up top and plancha's outside. Yu flipping sentons DG. Yu stands on Alom's shoulders on the 2nd rope then swantons outside, barely escaping death. DG walks up the buckles and tornillos Oku. DG then submits Oku with an armbar + headscissors and wins the fall and match.

Thoughts: The first fall was entertaining with the faces doing some great flying. Val had a great performance here with all kinds of nice dives. The heels did their part here and it was as a a solid opener.

Reyna Isis and Persephone vs Skadi and Kira

1st fall - Rey and Kira go at it. Rey throws her down backwards. They go on the mat then Kira armdrags her. Rey armdrags her then pulls her arms back. Kira double armdrags her. Kira double armdrags her again then flying headscissors her out.

Skadi chops Pers and leapfrogs her. Pers drives her into the corner face first and Rey bangs Skadi's face off the buckles. Skadi takes a double boot. Rey headbutts Kira. Kira takes corner attacks.

Skadi is stomped on then takes a double dropkick to the back. Kira is hit with a wasteland by Pers then Rey top rope frogsplashes her and pins her. Pers double armlocks Skadi and taps her out to win the fall.

2nd fall - Pers pounds on Skadi then limbos out of a lariat. Pers superkicks Skadi in the gut then Rey legdrops Skadi. Pers pounds on Skadi. Skadi knocks over Pers. Skadi has Rey on her shoudlers, Kira comes off the top, off the shoulders and goes onto Pers. Skadi and Kira botch a spot where Skadi pops up Kira onto an opponent then Skadi and Kira get stereo pins to win the fall.

3rd fall - Skadi pumphandle gutbusters Pers. Rey flying headscissors Skadi. Kira 619's Rey on the ropes. Kira superkicks Pers in the gut then Pers basement dropkicks her. Pers catches Kira's dive off the apron. Kira slaps her, Pers chases then Pers is kicked from Skadi on the apron.

Kira jumps off Skadi's shoulders outside and flying headscissors Pers outside. Rey then topes Skadi. Kira botches a springboard move then dropkicks Rey out. Skadi surfboards Pers and Kira helps. Rey then slides under and tries to pin Skadi while the surfboard is applied.

Pers spears Skadi hard and Pers/Rey both try pins that get kicked out of. They are then both rolled up together for 2.  Kira is caught off the buckles by Skadi then Pers dropkicks them both over. Rey hits a double underhook suplex on Kira and pins her. Skadi double boots Pers out of the corner. Rey 2nd rope hurricanrana's Skadi. Pers springboard splashes Skadi and wins the fall and match.

Thoughts:
Everyone but Kira had an okay night here but Kira had multiple botches. They weren't awful botches but they happened. It was your usual CMLL 2v2 tag match where there's really no tags and it becomes a tornado tag. It wasn't boring and they mostly did okay with it.

Esfinge & Star Jr. vs. El Hijo del Villano III & Valiente

Esf = Esfinge, Hijo = Hijo del Villano III

1st fall - Val attacks Esf at the start and stomps him. He then beats him up outside. Esf chases Val onto the ramp as Val backs off. Hijo snapmares Star then Star armdrags him. Star trips Hijo and does a cutthroat bow and arrow on him.

Hijo ankle locks Star then spin kicks him. Hijo chops Star then Star sunset flips him for 2. Star is then double stomped on by the heels in the corner. Star spinning headscissors Hijo out. Esf shotgun dropkicks Val then stomps on him. Esf flying headscissors Val.

Val chops Esf down outside then Esf is sent into the rails twice. Hijo hits punches on Star in the ring. Val rips up Esf's mask. Hijo joins in on the fun. Esf takes corner attacks. Esf tilt-a-whirl backbreakers both opponents. Star top rope swantons Hijo and pins him. Esf running powerslams Val and pins him to win the fall.

2nd fall - Val chops Esf then is leg kicked. Esf pulls on Val's mask. Hijo chops Star then Star chops back. Sar is then double teamed. star is double hiptossed into the ropes but hits a double armdrag off of it. Star walks up the buckles and does a diving headscissors + armdrag combo to send the heels out.

Esf dropkicks Hijo and Star enzugiri's Hijo in the corner. Esf monkey flips Hijo. Esf goes for another one but Val pulls Esf's face down on the top buckle. The heels stomp  Esf together. Star helps out Esf. Esf pumping knees Val. Val goes through the ropes then is tope'd by Esf. Star flying headscissors Hijo then slingshot flip dives him outside.

Esf springboard crossbodies Val. Esf superkicks Val down. Esf misses a springboard splash then Val stupidly unmasks Esf and is disaqualified. Star and Esfinge win the match in 2 straight falls.

Thoughts: I'm not a big fan of the finish where the mask is torn off as it doesn't make a lot of sense. They did okay with the time they got here but it wasn't their best possible work and it was nothing that memorable. The Valiente/Esfgine feud seems like it will never end.

Overall thoughts: There were 3 new matches as usual here. The opener was good with Valiente Jr having a strong night. The women's match was mostly okay but Kira had one of her bad nights and botched a bunch. The main only went 2 falls and had a dumb finish but the work was okay otherwise. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 as they should have aired something else in the main event slot but the show was otherwise fine.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/aew-dynamite-862025.html

We are still in Chicago, Illinois at the Aragon Ballroom. Taz, Excalibur and Tony Schiavone are on commentary.

The Outrunners do an inset promo. Truth says they are rich as hell and loving every second of it after last week. Turbo says win, lose or draw tonight, they are rich.

The Young Bucks do an inset promo. They say the $200,000 came out of their salaries and they say their entrance is disrespectful.

AEW World Tag Team Title Eliminator Tournament 1st Round - The Outrunners (Truth Magnum and Turbo Floyd) vs The Young Bucks (Matt and Nick Jackson)

The Bucks get a generic graphic and no entrance. The Runners have Newport themed tights on. A Buck is shouldered over then Truth hits a hiptoss and slam. The Bucks take stereo back body drops then take stereo corner mounted punches.

The Bucks take stereo atomic drops, get sent into each other and are then sent out. The Runners heads are baned off the apron then they take stereo topes. Turbo takes a double back elbow.

Nick hits punches on Turbo. Turbo hits a double suplex. Truth gets in and hits chops on The Bucks. Turbo takes a bridging neckbreaker and is held for a slingshot swanton. A Buck runs up the buckles and corkscrews off the top out. A Buck then yells at Tony Schiavone.

We go to PiP break and return. Truth avoids a double superkick. Truth boots Nick out of the corner but Turbo is pulled away on a tag attempt. Truth takes a corkscrew kick and Turbo takes a flipping cutter on the floor. Truth takes a springboard crossbody for 2.

Thoughts: It was your usual Bucks match with them doing their usual spots. The Runners don't do all that stuff though so it was a little more tolerable as only one team was overdoing it. It was one of the better Bucks matches thanks to The Outrunners.

Kazuchika Okada comes down after. The Runners are triple teamed. Swerve Strickland comes down to make the save. Okada is triple teamed and backdropped. Swerve hits a top rope double stomp on the heels outside.

Mark Briscoe is interviewed in the back by Renee. He's looking for MJF. Ricochet and The Gates of Agony interrupt. Ric says he needs to worry about them and not MJF. He says he will send him out of Chicago bloodied. Mark says he's on the warpath and will whoop his @ss. He says it's a fraction of what he has for MJF as MJF has crossed the line. Ric says he will see hm later and calls him a loser.

MJF does a promo. He says there's rumors online that The Hurt Syndicate is in trouble and he's here to quell that. MJF apologizes to Shelton and says now him and MVP can take care of things now that Lashley is out of the question. Shelton says MVP isn't here as he's disgusted with MJF. Shelton asks if MJF has the time. MJF says no as he gave Bobby Lashley his watch. Shelton then pulls out the watch and says it's the nicest watch he has ever seen from Teemu. He asks if he thinks he's so stupid that he doesn't know the difference from a knockoff and a real Rolex. Shelton said they knew about him the whole time and said he didn't get laid out because MVP stuck up for him. Shelton says he better get out of here before he ends up in a pool of his own piss. Shelton says MJF is out of The Hurt Syndicate, gives him the thumbs down and slams the door in his face.

Thoughts: Well, there it is, that's the end of MJF in The Hurt Syndicate. It was a weird alliance from the start and I'm surprised they ended it before they did that much with it.

Tony Schiavone is in the ring and brings out Christian Cage. Cage says his name and says he's an @sshole. He said he was obsessed with becoming the AEW champ. He said he briefly became an @sshole with feelings and it cost him everything. He said he didn't realize Nick and Kip had the courage to step up to him. He says they didn't earn the right to question him.

He says he spent more money on rental cars making towns then Kip and Nick made their entire career. He said he didn't think his crew was smart enough to pull off the plan to get him the title so he went with another plan. He said there's probably a bunch of people in line at his door to maim him for what he did.

He talks about Cope. He talks about the nasty things he said he would do to him. He asks if they were really that bad though. He said Cope told him to go find himself the last time he saw him. He said maybe he did and maybe he didn't, but they are so different but are the same.

He says The Patriarchy embarrassed him at All In when they left him laying. He said Mother Wayne was right when he had a hard time getting up that night then he makes a dirty joke. He said maybe they thought he ruled with an iron fist but they come from his past. He said the things they said came from entitlement. He asks how things will go for Nick when he has to answer for the things he did. Cage says when he shows up, he answers the bell for the things he said.

He puts over Nick. He says every tool to be the face of AEW but he will have to go through him to do it. He says Nick already has one dead father and now he has another father who is dead to him. He says he disowns Nick and Kip.

Cage walks up the ramp and runs into Mother Wayne. She tries to slap him and Cage stops her. Cage stops Kip from hitting him then he is hit by Nick with a title belt. Nick says he disowned him. Cage then takes a conchairto while standing (two chair shots to the head at the same time). Nick says he disowned him and turned his back on him.

FTR and Stokeley Hathaway do a promo. Stoke says FTR won last week and are one step closer to the tag titles. He says Cope is banned from the building. He says what The Hurt Syndicate did was an act of cowardice last week. He says Juice and Austin Gunn will face the greatest tag team alive and while they are good, they aren't FTR.

The Young Bucks come in. FTR says they are happy they won and happy they got their groove back. They say maybe they will see them in the finals. Stoke asks if they are the bosses. They say no and he tries to scare them.

AEW World Title - Adam Page (c) vs Jon Moxley

Everyone is banned from ringside for this. They lock up. Mox hits him in the corner and Page forearm flurries him. They trade chops. Mox bites his head. The Death Riders try to come out and security goes up to them. Marina Shafir throws the title belt to Mox then Mox hits Page with it for 2. Paul Turner throws Shafir out even though she's not allowed to be out there anyway. The Death Riders head to the back near the balcony and Darby Allin jumps off the balcony onto them in a cool spot. Page buckshot lariats Mox then he hits deadeye on Mox. Page hits a buckshot lariat and wins.

Thoughts: I didn't like The Death Riders coming out when they were banned from ringside. That was dumb. They did a bit too many head drops here with both guys taking head bumps onto steps, the commentary table and the apron and none of them meant that much. They got a ton of time for this one. Shockingly, no one really bled, though Page got some blood on the top of his head on accident that we couldn't really see.

Toni Storm and Alex Windsor vs Athena and Billie Starkz

Ath and Alex go at it. They trade wristlocks. Toni gets in and Ath gets out. BS gets in and Toni side headlock takeovers her. Toni shoulders her over then basement dropkicks her. Toni backbreakers her.

BS takes corner attacks and a double kick with a dance. Ath takes a double clothesline. Alex bridging ddt's her over the 2nd rope. BS nails Toni outside. Alex cannonballs Ath off the apron.

Toni corner hip attacks BS but Ath hits a top rope diving o-face on Toni and pins her.

Thoughts: I was surprised Toni did the job when Alex was right there. The work was fine and the match was okay.

BS sends Alex into the rails after. Ath tells Toni it's only a matter of time and it's her time.

Renee interviews Adam Page. MJF comes in. He congratulates Page. MJF says Page called him a coward last week but says Page is the coward as he refuses to face him for the title unless it's under his terms. MJF says he remembers when we had a real fighting champ named Swerve Strickland. Page asks if he thinks that's how he will get him to give him a title shot. Page says there's people in line in front of him and he names Mark Briscoe. He says he needs to fight him to get a shot. MJF calls them hicks sticking together. Page says he doesn't know what's stopping him from beating his @ss right now since The Hurt Syndicate isn't here.

Willow Nightingale does a promo on Thekla. She says she's not leaving Chicago until they have a fight. She says she asked Tony Khan for a match with her. She says her and Thekla will fight tomorrow. She says she will kick her spider @ss and rip off every single one of her 8 legs.

Mark running lariats Ric for 2. Mark lariats Ric. Toa throws Mark off the top. Ric hits vertigo on Mark for 2. Bandido and Brody King come out and throw Toa over the rail. Brody and Toa fight and go to the back with it.

Mark cradles Ric for 2. Ric pumping knees him. Ric spin kicks him in the face. Ric enzugiri's him then Mark lariats him. Mark hits a jay driller on Ric and pins him.

Thoughts: The match was fine but nothing too memorable. It was what you would expect with a lot of flying and we had shenanigans with The Gates of Agony. This was only in the main because they likely didn't know how long Page/Mox would go so they let them go in the midcard.

Mark does a promo after. He says we are just getting started tonight. He says MJF brought his brother's name forth once and shame on him. He says he did it again and shame on him if he doesn't obliterate his @ss. He said he never felt like this. He says he needs help. Mark says he may feel like he may never see his brother again. He says if he kills MJF, he can't repent and he worries. He tells MJF to make his day and tells him to come out here right now.

MJF's music hits and he only appears on the tron. He says he's not an idiot and isn't coming out there. He asked if Mark dropped the comedy routine as he sounded serious. He says if Mark sounds serious. He says he thought Mark was a waste of his time. He says next week, it will be MJF vs Mark if Mark makes it. MJF then appears and kicks Mark in the nuts.

MJF pounds on Mark and asks who's a coward now? He then asks Page in the camera who the coward is now? He hits Mark with the mic and chokes him. MJF goes to punch him with his ring then Adam Page comes out. Page boots MJF then Mark grabs MJF. MJF slides out and runs to the back.

Overall thoughts: It was a bit of a long show here. This went until 10:15PM and Mox/Page was a longer one. The show wasn't that bad though I didn't like Page/Mox. They just took too many piledriver and headbump variations that didn't mean a lot and it was mostly all striking otherwise. I also didn't like The Death Riders coming out even though they were banned. The Outrunners carried The Bucks to a decent match. The women's tag was fine and Mark/Ricochet was as well. I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 total as everything mostly made sense and had a reason for happening.

Thoughts:
It was an average undercard match and wasn't much of note. We got a little preview of Khan vs ELP and not a lot else here.

Thoughts: It had some shenanigans (but not as much as I thought) and it wasn't that great as expected.

RR cradles Hart off a suplex attempt for 2. Hart crossbodies him. Hart hits a death valley driver on RR and pins him.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. The execution was off here with everyone having some sloppy moments.

Thoughts: It's a shame they messed up near the finish here as they had a fun match otherwise. Yota had some nice spears here and Oleg busted out some new stuff like the pop-up finlay roll. I liked this and it was nice to see Oleg step up some here.

G1 Climax 2025 Block A Match - David Finlay vs. Callum Newman

DF buckle bombs him then CN hurricanrana's him off a powerbomb attempt and pins him.

Thoughts: It was alright and better than expected. CN was more aggressive and faster than usual and helped keep things moving here. And with him being the underdog face, it worked well against DF's more dominating heel style.

DF throws a fit after and boots Shoma Kato.

Thoughts: It was the usual HoT match that was filled with shenanigans including weapons shots, interference and refs being touched. I didn't like this.

Yasuda gets back in the ring and Kanemaru hits him with the whiskey bottle.

Thoughts: I didn't like this too much. It was pretty similar to the last match with stupid refs and more of a focus on interference than wrestling.

Oiwa hits a top rope splash then Oiwa doctor bombs him for 2.

Oiwa sleepers him then Tana cradles him for 2. Oiwa spinning lariats him and wins.

Thoughts: It's the biggest win of Oiwa's career. Oiwa worked the arm throughout this one but sadly the finish didn't involve the arm. Tana sold and made his comeback but was put down. It was alright but some kind of finish involving the arm really would ahve put this over more. Oiwa winning is nice.

Oiwa has words for Tana on the mic after.

Overall thoughts: The undercard wasn't any good here. I liked Yota/Oleg, Finlay/Newman and Tana/Oiwa. Yota/Oleg was what you would think and Newman worked well around Finlay's style. Tana/Oiwa could have been better but was okay enough. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as the bad outweighed the good here but 3 of the G1 matches were enjoyable. I'd put this one as average.

Jada misses a top rope moonsault the Mila hits a cut throat backcracker and wins.

Thoughts: This got a bunch of time and was a full length match. Jada looked good here as usual with her face work and flying and if she's not signed by TNA, she should be. Mila did fine here by not botching anything but was mostly along for the ride. But Mila looks good and you can't teach that. They said Mila has been hanging with The Elegance Brand and strongly hinted that she will join them.

Carlos Silva, Jazz and Tommy Dreamer come out. Tommy says there's moments in life where even if you lose, you win. Tommy says they want to offer her a contract. Jada is shocked. Tommy then says they want to offer Mila a contract as well. Carlos says welcome to the team and says they are proud.

Thoughts
: Good for Mila and Jada. TNA needs new girls and they should be fine.

M kneelifts Kelly.M dropkicks Rose through the ropes. M is then dropkicked off the apron into George outside. Kelly rolls up Jody for 2 then Jody rolls her up for 2. Jody F-5's Kelly and pins her.

Thoughts:
It was a fast paced and entertaining four way with lots of action. It was well above what we usually get here and it was nice to see something competitive where anyone could have won.

Overall thoughts: This was one of the better Xplosion's. We had two matches instead of one. Both got enough time. Jada vs Mila was fine with Jada having a good showing. Both then got contracts after which was a cool moment. The four way was fun and full of action and chaos. We also had a Gia interview which was more tolerable than usual. I enjoyed this and would like to see more Xplosion's like this.

Vic Joseph, Booker T and Corey Graves are on commentary.

We have a ten bell salute with all of the NXT wrestlers for Hulk Hogan. Multiple Evolve and LFG wrestlers are there as well. We then get a music video for Hulk.

Jaida Parker vs Jazmyn Nyx

JP backs her up in the corner. Nyx boots and kicks her. JP forearms her. Nyx springboard kicks her for 2. JP hits a running headhunter for 2. Nyx leg lariats her and bangs JP's face off the mat. Nyx does an indian deathlock without the legs tied up.

JP overhead northern lights suplexes her. They trade forearms and Nyx pele kicks her. JP chops her. JP release samoan drops her. Nyx is bridged on the 2nd rope and JP butt presses her down. JP hits a running hip attack and wins.

Thoughts: It was a decent opener here with both doing fine. JP won as expected and the crowd really liked her, but they always do and it's because of her being local.

Fallon and Jacy yell at Nyx in the ring for losing after.

Je'Von Evans greets Drake Morreaux and Shiloh Hill. He then runs into The High Ryze. Evans says they didn't have Trick's back vs Taker and let him wear that goofy outfit. Evans walks pasts Chase U. Chase says it's time for Connors and Dixon to go up against the biggest dogs in the yard.

Je'Von Evans comes out to talk. He says last week was crazy. He said Taker gave him the legendary advice of going after the biggest dog in the yard.

Trick Williams comes out. Trick says the biggest dog has finally arrived. Trick tells him to mind his business while big folks are talking. Evans says Trick got chokeslammed back to hell last week from Taker. Trick says he got chokeslammed but he's still the TNA champ and the biggest thing in NXT and TNA. He says the biggest thing Evans can do wrong is try him. Evans says he was talking about Oba, not him.

Trick says Oba Femi wishes he was Trick. He said Oba wishes he had the TNA Title. The High Ryze come out. Wes says not to let him get under your skin like that. Wes says Evans should be calling out Oba and says Trick is on a different level than Evans.

Wes says Evans doesn't understand what it's like to be a champ. Wes says Evans will have a great journey to the title but it's a long way away. Wes says Evans won't get close to Trick as The High Ryze will stop him dead in his tracks. Evans says if he starts tonight, he'll start with Wes. He punches Wes then is group stomped on. Evans is held for Wes' cardiac kick. Wes says he will talk to Ava and get this thing set for tonight.

Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors are in front of the NXT men's locker room. Uriah says they want to go after the big dogs in the NXT tag champs. He says everyone knows if you take them out, you get a shot next week. They open the door and Hank and Tank see them. They go in and try to chair Hank and Tank but they are ready. They stand off. Connors and Dixon say they will hit them with chairs to get a match. Hank says they just gotta ask. Tank says they love Mr. Chase.

Chase comes in. Kale says they were gonna beat them with chairs to get a shot. Chase says he didn't say to beat them with chairs. hank says they will set the match up for next week. Uriah and Kale are happy and they say if you just ask, the title match happens.

Thoughts: This was a really funny meta segment.

If Tavion wins, he can leave NQCC - Charlie Dempsey vs Tavion Heights

CD wristlocks him. Tav rolls and armdrags him. Tav trips him and waistlocks him. CD water wheel drops him then armlocks him. Joe Hendry's face pops up on the screen. Tav side headlocks CD then CD forearms him.

Tav shoulders him over. Tav shoulders him over then side headlock takeovers him. Tav side headlocks him and they crossbody each other at the same time. We go to break and return. Tav suplexes him then sweeps him. Tav hits a dropkick then slingblades him. Tav hits him outside. Tav is pushed off the steps then he is sent into the steps. CD dragon screws him then single leg crabs him.

Wren looks for something under the ring but stops. Tav upkicks him then cradles him for 2. Tav flying lariats him then hits a big slam. Tav death valley drivers him then hits a belly to belly suplex for the win.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was a decent match here with Tav being a fun face and CD losing. I'm not sure where this leaves either guy right now but NQCC was not doing much for either of these guys.

They shake hands after.

Trick Williams and High Ryze talk in the back. Trick tells them to finish Evans off so he can go for both titles. Wes says if he does this, he wants a shot for his boys for the TNA Tag Titles. Trick says it's Trick-N-A. Santino Marella comes in and says Trick doesn't have stroke in TNA, he does. Santino says he's just a WWE superstar tonight and says Trick's TNA Title is coming home soon.

Blake Monroe comes out to talk. She threatens Booker T for messing up her name last week. She says everyone wants to know why Jordynne Grace. Blake says Grace isn't good enough. She says she has seen more protein shakes with personality than her. She says she's not a superstar, she's a background player or an extra. We then see clips of her being an extra.

Blake rips how she looks and we see a photo of Grace when she weird more. She says Grace doesn't see the juggernaut when she looks in the mirror, she says the fat photo of her. She says on her best day, Blake can't do it like 'Lani. Blake says it's cute that Jordan got a personality. She says she will put her in a medical facility with grace and headbutts her. The four fight. Blake and Parker are sent out.  Blake holds onto Parker and Parker pushes her.

Tatum Paxley and Izzi Dame talk in the back. Tatum says she pinned Zaria due to the doll she was given. She says she wants to challenge Sol Ruca. Izzi says she didn't pin the champ. Niko Vance and Shawn Spears come in. Shawn says Tatum can face Sol Ruca for the North American Title next week. Izzi says they will all be in her corner to bring home gold next week for The Culling. Tatum is thrilled. We then see Luca Crusifino walk in and say no family lasts forever.

Lash Legend talks. She says she's the most dominant woman in WWE. She says when she beats Fallon Henley, there will be a clear path to the women's championship.

Lash Legend vs Fallon Henley

Lash backs her up between the ropes and clubs her. Fallon stomps her foot. Lash gorilla press drops her. Lash then hits a splash for 2. Lash blocks a sunset flip. Lash hits a double dribble on Fallon then swinging uranage backbreakers her. Fallon 2nd rope blockbusters her. Fallon swinging facebusters her for 2.

Nyx gets in the way and is forearmed down outside. Fallon's head is banged off the apron. Jacy tries to hit Lash with her title and is pump kicked. Nia Jax then nails Lash from behind. Nyx fameassers Lash and pins her.

Thoughts: Nia getting involved was a surprise. This was a decent match from these two which is not something you would have expected at one point in time. Lash looked big and strong here and felt like she was upping her game.

Nia beats up Lash more after then banzai drops her.

Josh Briggs complains in the back. Stacks talks to him then Yoshiki Inamura shoves him. Josh says chances don't come around often. Stacks tells Inamura doesn't last and in the end everyone gets theirs. Inamura slaps him and says he will show him honor next week. Arianna Grace asks if Stacks is okay.

Igwe tries to trip Evans. Evans then suicide dives Igwe and Dupont outside. Wes cradles him for 2. Wes hits a cardiac kick for 2. Evans cutters him then hits a top rope diving os cutter to win.

Thoughts: It was a flippy style match here with not a lot of selling and some cool spots. Evans' flying was impressive as usual and there was a ton of action here. They didn't overdo it too much at least. It got a large amount of time and I liked it.

Oba Femi gets on the riser and holds his title up while Trick does the same at commentary with Evans watching on.

Myles Borne talks to Vic Joseph in a taped video. He says Lexis King is just stirring the pot. He says he's mostly deaf and he only had a 50% chance to live. He said he was put on a ventilator that kept him alive. He said it kept him alive but took 90% of his hearing. He says communication has never been his thing. He said he didn't start speaking until he was 4. He says he had to read lips and said that and hand movements helps.

He says you can't let people like Lexis King win. He says you gotta block people like that out.

Robert Stone, Ava and Stevie Turner talk in the back. Stone says Ricky Saints will be back soon. Stevie says Jordynne Grace will be in a neck brace. Lexis King walks in. He says Borne is not deaf and is a con man. He asks how he can wrestle if he's deaf? Ava says King is many things but he's in action against Borne next week. King says he will prove he's just as much of a fraud in the ring as he is out of it.

We see Fatal Influence leave. Fallon says 1 out of 2 ain't bad. She says Nyx couldn't hold up her end. Nia Jax comes in and says Lash got dropped. She says Lash just doesn't measure up.

Page stomps on him. Page drops him with a facekick. Page hits mounted forearms then he neckbreakers him for 2. Page misses a corner splash then SM airplane spins him. Both end up going down.

SM misses a headbutt drop. SM stunners him. SM hits a headbutt drop for 2. Page high kicks him. Page comes off the top and SM gets his knees up. SM hits shots then hiptosses him. SM plancha's him outside. SM goes for the cobra. Page puts the ref in the way. Page eye pokes SM then cutters him for the win.

Thoughts
:
It was alright but Santino got most of the offense in here. SM lost as expected as Page just changed up his belt and wasn't going to lose. Santino didn't really lose a step since we last saw him.

Tony D'Angelo is in a restaurant. He says things are changing and don't call him Don anymore, call him Tony D. The drape is then closed on Tony and we cut away in a Sopranos style ending.

Overall thoughts: It was a good NXT. Tons of stuff happened as usual and they had a good night in the ring with nothing being bad. Wes/Evans was probably the best match of the night here. I'd give this one a 7 out of 10 as the show was packed with various ongoings and there was no lack of action at any point in time.

NWA Powerrr 7/29/2025

NWA Powerrr 7/29/2025

The last 2 weeks of the show were repeats. The last show I saw is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/07/nwa-powerrr-782025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/08/nwa-powerrr-852025.html

This is the NWA's first show on Roku. X in theory got more viewers so that's the better place to air but maybe this can get some people who only have TV.

We get a package on The Crockett Cup.

Tag Team Battle Royale for the 12th seed in the Crockett Cup

Note - There are a bunch of people in here who have not been seen on this show before and I don't know them. There were no entrances either to make it clear. If one person is eliminated here, the whole team is eliminated.

Beastman hits a double lariat on The JV Squad. Beastman rams someone in the corner. The JV Squad boot The Slimeballz in the corner. Beastman hits a cannonball on 3 people. Stone Rockwell is thrown out by The JV's, eliminating his partner as well.

Eric Smallz punches people in the nuts. Eric is then thrown into Sam Stackhouse's crotch. There's some woman in there who uranage's an unknown guy then an another unknown guy hits a springboard legdrop.

The Slimeballz stomp on Joe Ocasio. Mr. Grimm is slammed onto someone. Grimm is hit by a girl (Big Daddy Adrianna) and drops her. Adrianna is then thrown out.

We go to break. Bryan Idol says Carson Drake thinks he can get away with anything he wants all his life and says he won't get away with anything. We return from break. Sam Stackhouse eliminates South Philly's finest together. Joe Ocasio and his partner are thrown out.

Mr. Grimm and his partner double dropkick Sam Stackhouse from behind. They then double boot him through the ropes. Smallz punches Grimm and his partner Moses in the nuts en stereo. Smallz then does a caterpilla into a headspin and legdrop. Dalton McKenzie throws Smallz out onto Stackhouse, who catches and saves him. Smallz is then booted off the apron by The JV Squad and eliminated.

Sage is thrown into Moses then punched in his injured ribs. The JV's turn on Grimm and Moses and throw them out together. Sage fights off The JV's. Tommy Rant takes a pop-up drop. The Slimes stop themselves from being thrown over the top. They fight The JV's on the apron. Sage hits a knee off of Rant's back and he eliminates one of The JV's. The Slimeballz win the battle royal.

Thoughts: We hadn't seen most of these people before and there were no intros so I didn't know who was who. They didn't get a lot of time for this and had a break cut some of this up. And with so many people in it, everyone was a bit limited.

Crockett Cup 2025 First Round - Blunt Force Trauma (Damage and Carnage) vs The Slimeballz (Tommy Rant and Sage Chance)

Sage hits gut punches on Dam and gets nowhere. Carn knees and clubs on Rant. Sage's head is banged off the buckles. Dam runs into Rant's elbow in the corner. Rant is double suplexed.

Sage goes up and over Dam then enzugiri's him from the apron. Sage's top rope lariat is caught then Dam lariats him. Carn hits corner spears on Sage. Dam bearhugs Sage. Sagej awbreakers him and Carn stops Rant from tagging in.

Dam shoulders over Sage. Dam powerslams Sage. Dam goes to powerbomb Rant. Sage rolls up Dam out of nowhere and wins.

Thoughts: The Slimes winning here was a shock. I'm not sure if BFT was the best team for them to upset. It was a shorter one and they did what they were supposed to with The Slimes getting roughed up.

Aron Stevens argues with the ref after and gets in his face. Baron Von Storm comes out. BFT is gone and Baron iron claws Aron. Sodapop Hendrix (who we haven't seen since 2024) shows Baron the globe and gets him to break the hold.

Father James Mitchell talks with his crew in the back with The Crockett Cup. He says The Cup is the most prestigious prize in wrestling and it will go home with The Lost.

We see various wrestlers enter NWA Headquarters at The Capitol Theatre. Kenzie says Joe Cazana is making her wait. Joe Cazana comes down the steps with his sons. He says welcome to his new territorial office. He says he's bringing back the territories. He says to look what he is doing to this building and then invites them to see his office.

The Slimeballz do a promo outside under a bridge. They say they are The Slimeballz and the next winners of The Crockett Cup. Rant calls BFT losers. Sage says they will take this all the way to the end and will take the cup home to Slimeball City. He says they will fill the cup with slime and guzzle it down. They then say it's Slime Time.

Crockett Cup 2025 First Round - The Lost (Alex Misery and Crazzy Steve) vs Team Exodus Pro (EC3 and PB Smooth)

EC hits shots on Steve before it starts. Steve's head is banged off the buckles. Steve boots him out of the corner and hanging headscissors him. EC is booted by Alex and Steve in the corner. Alex is whipped into a cannonball type of move on EC. EC's head is banged off the buckles by Alex.

Alex slingshot sunset flips him. EC hits him in the throat and Alex hits a bad enzugiri. Alex enzugiri's PB off the apron. Alex then triangle dropkicks EC off the apron. Alex goes for a dive but PB pulls his throat down over the top for 2.

Alex is double teamed in the corner. PB throws Alex from the slam position. PB chops Alex then EC does as well. PB slams Alex then does a traphezus hold. Alex jawbreakers him.

Alex flips off the buckles over him then PB hits an STO variation. EC's hand is bitten by Alex and EC throws him down. Alex jawbreakers EC. Alex is flipped and tags out. Steve gets in and snapmares EC. He then twists his neck with his feet. Steve hits corner lariats on EC then corner cannonballs him. Pastor C-Lo gets on the apron and Jim Mitchell pulls him down. EC and Steve double clothesline each other.

Alex hits leg kicks on PB then dropkicks him. Alex is back body dropped outside onto his partners. PB does a standing blue thunder on Alex and pins him.

Thoughts: It got enough time and the match was fine. Alex hit some bad enzugiri's and the crowd was pretty dead for most of this. PB had a good night here.

Carson Drake does a promo with the Crockett Cup. He says he's wrestling for the NWA TV Title, which he never lost. He says he will show Bryan Idol that he can't beat him for the 10th time.

We get a video on Rhino and it says he's coming.

Thom Latimer says he's been wrestling since he's 16 and he's 38 now. He says he took the long road and threw the keys to the car away when he was given them. He said then he got sober. He says he was born to be NWA champ. He says he knows who he is and who he should be - your NWA champ.

Joe Cazana is with his sons at the headquarters. He's in a nice ballroom and says it's for the people. Kenzie Paige isn't buying this and says he can't deal with it. Joe says Tyler Franks belongs in the NWA and says the meeting is dismissed. Tyler says he's not in The Crockett Cup. Joe says he'd love to have him at The Crockett Cup and wants him there. He says he wants to see him in the crowd to give them the support they need.

NWA World Television Title - Bryan Idol vs Carson Drake

Drake was champ but he got to 7 defenses and had to give it up to get a world title shot.

Idol takes him over and armlocks him. Idol armdrags him then dropkicks him. Idol flying knees him in the corner then atomic drops him into the buckles. CD is punched and ends up going over the top to the floor. We go to break. Natalia Markova says she faces Kylie Paige in a no limits match next week. She says she's coming for the women's title after that.

We return from break. CD is stalling outside. Idol dropkicks him through the ropes then chops him against the rail. Idol tries to get in and CD hits shots on him. CD punches Idol then hits corner spears. Idol is sent into the buckles and goes down. CD hits some punches on Idol then throws him into the corner for 2. CD chops him and knees him in the gut. Idol lariats CD then back elbows him. Idol running forearms him and CD takes a big rolling bump for it.

CD slingshot suplexes Idol for 2. Idol hits Finlay's oblivion for 2. Idol is cradled for 2. CD hits a single leg codebreaker to the face for 2. CD then pounds on him. Idol avoids a slingshot suplex and hits a killswitch on CD to win.

Thoughts: It was average and not that great. CD bumped around a lot here and had a few nice punches.

Overall thoughts: It was an average show here, which is above what they usually do. Every match had a reason for it to happen. I didn't like the battle royal that much was it full of people we hadn't seen before and they didn't do a good job of explaining who is who. The Slimes vs BFT was acceptable as was The Lost vs Exodus Pro. The main was average. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 and wouldn't recommend it. I was surprised they didn't have some bigger matches here considering this is their big Roku debut and in theory, they would want to impress people and pull out all the stops.
