Hied pulls Shani's neck forward then Dal spanks Hied to break the pin. Dal walks up the ropes and armdrags Hied. Hied backrolls her then Dal turns it into a pin attempt for 2. Dal is put on the 2nd rope by Flam and dropkicked in the crotch for 2.

Thoughts: It wasn't good and the finish was random with Dalys costing Shani the match for no reason. There was a lot of spanking here and they kept things pretty basic.

The announcers say we will witness history with La Parka returning

La Parka, Laredo Kid, Octagón Jr. vs Kento, Nobu San, Takuma

This is the AAA debut of La Parka. This isn't the most famous La Parka or the one who died, this is a new 3rd La Parka. Takuma has Mr. Iguana's lizard toy. La Parka's entrance isn't shown likely because it had copyrighted music.

Kid and Nobu go at it. They legsweep each other and stand off. Kid is double teamed in the corner and beaten up on. Nobu is pushed into a double kick in the corner. Kid hits a basement dropkick on him while his partners do topes outside. Kid falcon arrows Nobu for 2.

Parka then top rope swantons outside. Parka spin kicks Takuma in the gut then double underhook backbreakers him. Parka twisting suplexes him. Parka then top rope frogsplashes him to win.

Thoughts: It went a little longer than it needed to but I liked it. The heels were good heels and Parka thankfully won in his debut. Parka's a bit awkward and dances a decent bit and he didn't have the best looking offense here. Kid and Oct were fine. I thought they should have ended it at the triple 450 spot since there was clearly no topping that.

Vampiro comes out. He gets in the ring and says we all feel this. He says the ghosts called him and says everyone loved La Parka today. Vamp says there is no copy and Parka did that with his soul. He says it's a reborn character and welcomes him to AAA.  Parka's music then plays and Vamp poses with the faces.

The announcers talk about the next show on 5/31.

San hits a spanish fly off the 2nd rope then Vik top rope double stomps one of NGD as they hang from the top rope. Pag and Vik hit stereo chairs on NGD. Pag hits a top rope legdrop while Vik hits a top rope splash for 2. Vik grabs the ref and gets mad at him. The ref grabs the AAA title and hits Vik with it. NGD chair Pag and Vik. Latin Lover then comes out. Latin pulls the ref out, punches him and sends him into the post.

Latin gets in the ring and shows off a ref shirt. Patron wants to hit him with a kendo stick shot and Latin dares him to since he's the ref. Patron kengo sticks Vik in the head then chairs Pag.

Latin fights Mesias to the back. Negro hits Patron with the kendo stick. Patron double boots Negro out of the corner then hits him with the kendo stick. Patron backdrops Negro then misses a top rope senton. Negro rammed into a table in the corner then the table falls on him as he goes down. Negro is put on a half broken table then Patron top rope elbow drops Negro and wins as the ref fast counts him.

Thoughts:
It was a long one with tons of shenanigans here with the heel ref openly cheating, Latin Lover coming is as the face ref then getting hit by Mesias. Then Psycho Clown made the save. Despite all of the shenanigans, I did like the match. The heels were good heels and the faces were good matches. They kept me entertained throughout and both Patron and Negro did good jobs here.

Overall thoughts: The women's match wasn't that good but the other two matches were. Neither the main or the semi main were perfect but they had the right ideas, they followed face vs heel guidelines and there were some highlights. I'd give this one a 6 out of 10 and thought the last two matches were fun.

Stardom 5/21/2025 Nighter in Korakuen

 Stardom 5/21/2025 Nighter in Korakuen

This is Ema Maishima's debut. They shake hands. Ema wristlocks her then AZM reverses it. Ema then puts the wristlock back on. AZM side headlocks her. Ema armdrags her then is armdragged. AZM legsweeps her and both headflip up.

Ema backrolls her then AZM does a rings of saturn. Ema rolls her up for 2. Ema running drpkicks AZM. AZM suplexes Ema for 2. AZM high kicks her for 2. AZM hits a buzzsaw kick then rolls her up for to win.

Thoughts: It went a lot longer than it needed to since Ema had no chance of winning. Ema was fine and didn't botch anything here and that's all you can really ask for. She did a flying headscissors and a springboard crossbody so maybe she will end up being an average type of flyer. She's about AZM's size as well and AZM is smaller. This got a little boring due to the length.

Hanan vs. Kikyo Furusawa

KF is a bit attractive but not a model or anything. She kind of resembles Miyu Amasaki a little but dresses like Maki Ito.

They lock up. KF hits forearms on the ropes then hits running dropkicks. Han dropkicks her back. Han slams her for 2 then camel clutches her. Han leg lariats KF on the ropes for 2.

KF hits chest forearms. Han back elbows her. KF running dropkicks her. KF ankle locks her. KF twists Han's leg. KF cartwheels her down into an ankle lock.  KF stomps Han's leg and slams her for 2 twice. KF does an octopus variation then sunset flips her for 2.

KF hits bad chest forearms. Han leg lariats her. Han crabs her. KF rolls her up for 2 then Han running euros her. Han fallaway slams her then crabs her. KF then taps out.

Thoughts: It was a decent debut for Kikyo. She has some personality and spirit and she moves well. I think she has some potential and I think she already is a step above Ema.

God's Eye (Kiyoka Kotatsu, Ranna Yagami, Saki Kashima & Tomoka Inaba) vs. Akira Kurogane, FWC (Hazuki & Koguma) & Yuria Hime

KK = Kiyoka Kotatsu. TI = Tomoka Inaba

Kog's going to wrestle in her bear costume. Hime is rolled up by Saki to start for 2. KK hits kicks on Hime then goes for a rolling armbar. Ranna snapmares Hime and kicks her in the back for 2. Ranna then does the same to Akira and Haz.

Akira russian legsweeps TI. Hime then hits a chest forearm flurry on TI. TI takes a double dropkick then a 4 person elbow drop. Hime legdrops TI for 2. Hime is seated and takes kicks from her opponents. Hime cradles TT for 2 then leg lariats her for 2. Hime hits facekicks on TI. Hime takes a double kick. TI knee lifts her and Hime cradles her for 2. TI michinoku drivers Hime and wins.

Thoughts: It was an okay match here with them having some fun. It didn't really get enough time for the amount of people involved and we saw little of Kog here. I thought Hime had an okay showing.

Neo Genesis (Mei Seira & Miyu Amasaki) & STARS (Momo Kohgo & Saya Iida) vs. HATE (Azusa Inaba, Fukigen Death, Natsuko Tora & Saya Kamitani)

Tora hits a double lariat then Saya K does a springboard double crossbody. Miyu takes offense from the heels. Tora death valley drivers Miyu for 2. Tora top rope splashes Miyu and wins.

Thoughts: It was your usual Stardom multi-person tag with people coming in and out for no reason and various multi-person spots. It was average and not too much of note. I hope Miyu getting pinned by Tora leads to something.

Cosmic Angels (Aya Sakura, Sayaka Kurara & Yuna Mizumori) vs. God's Eye (Hina, Lady C & Syuri)

Aya hits a bunch of strikes on Syu to start. Syu knees her in the gut then is knee'd in the gut. aya hits a dropkick then takes a chest kick. Syu kicks her in the back.

Thoughts: Aya was alright here and Hina took a shoot takedown with a grounded lseeper that looked like it hurt. It was your usual trios match but it as acceptable enough. Syuri didn't do a lot here.

Hina holds her title up at Sayaka after.

Cosmic Angels (Natsupoi & Saori Anou) vs. Empress Nexus Venus (Rian & Waka Tsukiyama)

Waka and Ri hit forearms as soon as it starts then take a running facekick and dropkick. Poi basement dropkicks Ri in the back then hair throws her. Poi then foot chokes her. Poi hair throws her again. Anou then foot chokes Ri.

Poi spin kicks her in the gut and head then Ri crucifixes her for 2. Poi spin kicks her in the head. Poi cartwheel splashes Ri off the top and wins.

Thoughts
: It was mostly the Rian show here with her being in for most of this. She got beaten up as expected but she sold and showed fire. It was a good performance but I'm still waiting to see her develop her offense a bit more. I liked it and thought it did what it was supposed to.

Artist Of Stardom Title #1 Contendership Match - HATE (Konami, Rina & Ruaka) vs. Mi Vida Loca (Itsuki Aoki, Rina Yamashita & Suzu Suzuki)

Everyone goes out to fight. Kon and Suzu hit each other with towels. Suzu running knees her then is dropkicked as she tries to go back in. Kon PK's her but is stopped from going in. Both girls then get double counted out.

Thoughts
: The match was better than expected but we sadly went to a double countout here. It was dumb as people fight outside forever usually in Stardom without getting counted out but yet they were counted out here. HATE did better mixing a normal match in with the heel tactics than usual.

AZM and Miyu Amasaki come in and talk after with both teams.

Wonder Of Stardom Title Match - Starlight Kid (c) vs. HANAKO

Thye lock up. Hana backs her up on the ropes then blocks a headscissors. Kid rolls her up for 2. Hana shoulders her over then stomps on her. Hana slams her twice for 2. Hana crabs her.

Hana does a sitout F-5/sitout burning hammer for 2. Kid rolls her up off a powerbomb attempt. Kid headscissors her into a roll-up. Kid then goes for a stretch muffler. Kid grounds her with it and taps her out.

Thoughts: It was a decent main with Kid doing the flying and the usual legwork and Hana using her power against her. There was nothing wrong with this and both did what they were supposed to do.  I liked it but I don't think they tried to go to the next level with this one.

Both girls talk on the mic afterand Kid holds up white roses after.

Overall thoughts: It was a good Stardom show. We got 2 new debuts and Kikyo Furusawa was the better of the rookies. The top 3 matches were all decent and the rest of the filler was acceptable. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as it was watchable from start to finish and nothing was awful here.

WWF Superstars of Wrestling 2/29/1992

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-2221992.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-371992.html

We are in Amarillo, TX. Mr. Perfect and Vince McMahon are our hosts. Perfect says Jake Roberts will be on The Funeral Parlor. He asks if Jake will be able to keep his cool, will be treated warmly or be given an icy stare?

El Matador vs Brian Elmore

They said Tito will fight Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania VIII. Tito hammerlocks Brian. Shawn Michaels and Sherri do an inset promo. Shawn says millions of people will see him do a Mexican hat dance around the head of Tito. He says we will find out what Sherri knows - Shawn is the sexiest man alive.

Tito shoulders Brian over. He leapfrogs and slams him. Tito side headlocks him. Brian hits shots to the gut then takes knees to the gut. Tito back body drops him. Tito hits a shot to the gut then forearms him in the back of the head to win.

Thoughts: It was short and not much of note here with Tito winning with forearm to the back of the head finisher.

WWF Update

Mean Gene Okerlund says The LOD were supposed to defend their tag titles in a match with The Natural Disasters. Jimmy Hart told Jack Tunney one of LOD got injured in a match with The Disasters and says The LOD should fight Ted Dibiase and IRS instead. Gene says The Disasters supported this as they wanted to take on The LOD when they were at 100%. Gene says we now have new WWF Tag champs as Ted and IRS won the match. Gene says Hart took dirty money from Dibiase to do this to get the belts off The LOD.

Gene says the whole thing was a set-up and says The Disasters said they didn't know anything about this. Gene says Jack Tunney can't change the ref's decision. He says IRS and Dibiase will have to defend their titles against The Natural Disasters at Wrestlemania VIII.

Ted Dibiase, IRS and Jimmy Hart do a promo. IRS asks who Tunney thinks he is saying when they have to defend their titles and against who. They say The Disasters are cheaters and rule breakers who know all the flaws of The Disasters. We then cut away before Hart finishes talking.

Thoughts: This is the second title change so far this year that has happened off TV. According to results, Ted and IRS (Money Inc.) beat The Legion of Doom for the tag titles on 2/7/1992 in Denver. The whole situation is pretty weird as The LOD were still brought out as champs after they lost the titles. The Big Boss Man was also subbing for Hawk and Animal was doing some singles matches. Some have said Hawk failed a drug test to lead to this. The WWF also got raided by the DEA at a live show on 2/14/1992 that makes me wonder if that played any role in that one. Aside that, it's yet another weird title change. It's not clear why this wasn't done on TV and the circumstances are clearly being used to turn The Natural Disasters face. This title change also ended up happening before Money Inc even had a match on TV together. All three of the WWF's titles have changed hands recently in unusual fashion and creative does not seem to have things under control right now.

The Repo Man vs Don Richter

Don is lariated as soon as the bell rings. Don then takes a backdrop. Virgil does an inset promo. He says he can be just as sneaky as Repo as you have to be sneaky in the neighborhood to survive. Virgil says he will sneak around back at Repo.

Don's head is banged off the buckled and he is hit in the gut and the head. Repo stomps and pounds on him. Repo chokes Don on the ropes then submits him with his leglock.

Thoughts: It was a quick one with Don getting nothing in before being put down.

Repo drags Don around the ring with his rope after.

The New Foundation (Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart) vs Todd Overbow and Kris Germany

Jim side headlocks Todd then shoulders him over twice. Todd is spinebustered then takes a 2nd rope elbow drop from Owen. Owen standing dropkicks Todd.

Kris gets in and is hiptossed then armdragged. Owen knee drops Kris then waterwheel drops him. Kris knees Owen in the gut. Owen flips over him using the top rope then back body drops him. Kris takes a double shoulderblock.

Kris is slammed then Jim rocket launches Owen off the top onto him. Owen picks up the win.

Thoughts: It was a shorter squash. The jobbers didn't get anything in. Owen almost slipped off his top rope moonsault.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 2/29/92 Boston Garden show. Mr. Perfect, Sid Justice and Ric Flair do a promo. Perfect says they are the perfect team. Ric says he has the biggest and the baddest man in the WWF on his side. He says they have the power, the finesse, the brains and says there is no place for Piper to run and hide. Sid says they will find out why he's the man who rules the world.

Hulk Hogan and Roddy Piper do a promo. Piper says Tunney might as well retire and sleep. Piper says they aren't dummies as they have been around for 10 years. I couldn't make out the rest of what Piper said here.

Papa Shango vs Larry Williams

Papa knees Larry in the gut and clubs his back. Larry's head is banged off the buckles. Papa hits a corner splash. Papa slams him then hits an elbow drop. Papa stomps Larry then hits a bad flying shot. Papa shoulderbreakers Larry and pins him.

Thoughts:
It was the usual Papa squash. His shoulderbreaker looks nice but his flying move still doesn't.

Papa shakes his chain at Larry while he's down after.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 2/29/92 Boston Garden show. The Natural Disasters do a promo. Quake says Jimmy Hart said he would guide them to the top but he's not with them anymore. Quake says it won't change their plan in the WWF. He says Sgt. Slaughter and Jim Duggan are entering the disaster area. Typhoon says it won't be Mr. Nice Guy and they want to make the ring a disaster area.

Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter do a promo. Jim says they are 2 proud Americans and says The Disasters are in for a long evening. Sarge says not to worry about Jimmy Hart not being there, worry about them as they will beat The Disasters.

We see some clips from past Mania's.

Wrestlemania VIII Report

Gene talks the WM8 double main event. Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect do a promo. Perfect says Macho is going after the big one. He says they know something about Macho. Flair says Macho is going to the big show and says they have a surprise for him. He says the surprise will take the world by storm and unfocus Macho.

"Macho Man" Randy Savage does a promo. He says he doesn't like surprises or Flair. He says Flair's ego is better than his. He says he plans on beating the man to be the man and become champ again. He says he's coming after Flair.

Gene says he will be surprised if Flair has a surprise.

Sid Justice does a promo. Sid says there's a hero in all sports but the hero has to take a fall. Sid says even in the jungles in Africa, the great lion gets too old and the young lion goes for the kill.

Sid says he's the man that will end Hulkamania and says he's the man that rules the world.

Hulk Hogan does a promo. He says he's seen the look in Sid's eyes before. He says he's seen that look in the Manson's and Dahmer's of the world. He says Hulkamania is the only way we can stop this madman. He says the four demandments will take your eyes, breath and soul. He asks what Sid will do when he casts his sentence on him.

Gene runs down the rest of the WM8 card.

Texas Tornado vs Kato

Kato does a top wristlock and is thrown back. Kerry poses. Kato hits some shots then takes more in return. Kerry punches him in the gut then discus punches him for the quick win.

Thoughts: It was a quick squash with Kerry doing nothing but punches.

The Funeral Parlor

Paul Bearer welcomes us. He says we all have histories and some are better left alone. He says his guest's history is known worldwide. He then brings out Jake Roberts.

Paul wants to talk about Jake's history with Macho Man and runs down their feud. Paul talks about Jake trying to chair Macho and Liz last week. Jake says he's not here to be judged by Paul and needs to know which side Taker is on. Paul tells Jake to ask Taker himself. Jake then comes out through a casket behind Jake.

Jake says him and Taker have a real problem. Jake asks who Taker think he is and asks who's side is he on? Taker grabs his urn and says, "not yours". Jake then grabs the urn. He asks if this is what makes Taker tick. He drops it in the casket. He says he owes Taker one and says not to turn his back on him. Jake then slams the casket down on Taker's hand and locks it. Jake then ddt's Paul Bearer as Taker's hand is stuck in the casket. Jake then chairs Taker from behind and drops him.

Taker gets back up as Jake grabs the mic. Jake then chairs Taker again and hits shots to the gut. Jake goes to talk again and Taker starts dragging the casket with him. Jake hits Taker in the gut with the chair and says Taker must be some kind of freak. Jake hits more chairshots but Taker keeps walking with the casket. Jake hits Taker in the knee with the chair. Taker gets back up and Jake pounds on him more. Taker rolls his eyes back and officials come out. Jake then heads to the back.

Thoughts: This was an interesting angle that put Taker over as a force while keeping his supernatural character up. With Macho set to fight Flair at Mania, it seems like Jake and Taker will feud next.

"Hacksaw" Jim Duggan and Sgt. Slaughter vs Dusty Wolfe and Rudy Gonzales

Jim pounds on Dale then slams him. Dale takes a double back body drop. Sarge back body drops Rudy then Rudy is whipped into a Duggan lariat and pinned.

Thoughts: It was another quick squash with nothing of note in it.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 2/29/92 Boston Garden show. The Repo Man does a promo. He says he admires The Big Boss Man. He says he doesn't lie or cheat or steal like him. Repo says people think he enjoys repossessing cars and homes and he says he loves it. He says he will repossess Boss.

El Matador does a promo. He says a no time limit match suits him fine with Ted Dibiase. Tito says there's no way out for Ted. He says he's trained to go the distance with Ted and will make him for the all the insults.

Next week's show has more on Taker/Jake, Shawn Michaels, Money Inc, Tatanka, a special interview with Ric Flair and Sid Justice.

Overall thoughts: As often is the case with these shows, there was nothing of note wrestling wise. It was all quick one-sided squashes. We did get a cool angle with Jake turning on Taker and we found out Money Inc are the new tag champs. The Taker/Jake angle might be worth a look but nothing else here was.

WWE Smackdown 5/30/2025

WWE Smackdown 5/30/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/wwe-smackdown-5232025.html

She said that reminded her of how it was when they were tag champs.

BB says they were friends until Naomi betrayed her trust. She says if she comes near her family again, what she did to Jade will be nothing compared to what she does to her. Naomi says it wouldn't be good for BB and her mom to be in a wheelchair. She says she'd hate for something bad to happen to her right here.

Naomi split-legged moonsaults Nia. Jade hits a jade end on Naomi for 2. Nia 2nd rope double crossbodies her opponents for 2. Nia 2nd rope samoan drops Naomi for 2. Jade splashes Nia off the buckles for 2. Nia does a power of doom spot on both opponents then banzai drops Jade. Naomi crufixies Nia and pins her to win.

Thoughts: There were some clever spots but the work between the spots wasn't that great and the crowd was super dead for it at times. Naomi got absolutely crushed here by Nia twice. Naomi winning was the least likely outcome here.

The bloodline walk and talk. R-Truth is talking to Little Jimmy. Solo mocks him. Truth touches him and JC goes up to Truth. Truth says he has never seen JC before and asks if he's Solo's son. He asks if he can take Solo's son to the ring and teach him a lesson. Solo agrees. Fatu says they can have their fun but he wants to go handle his own business.

The Secret Hervice complains to Nick Aldis. They are putting a picture of Greens' face over a stick to cover up her broke nose. She says SNME was a hitjob and says she demands Nick strips Zelina Vega of the title. Nick says she can talk about a rematch but needs to be medically cleared. Alba and Piper say if Nick won't go anything, they will. They then set up a tag match.

Byron Saxton interviews Tiffany Stratton. She says she can't win to see who wins MITB so she can be prepared. She says everyone has always been obsessed with her and says whoever cashes in on her will be making a big mistake. Naomi comes in and says she will win MITB and cash in. Naomi then says to ask Jade if she wants to know what happens when people get in her way. Alexa Bliss then comes in and says to worry about Alexa winning MITB.

The Street Profits come out to talk. Ford says they are in the greatest tag division and says it's on fire. Ford says they will defend against anyone. Fraxiom come out. NF says they didn't get a fair shake last week. Ford says they had them beat until The Wyatt's got involved.

Legado del Fantasma (Beto and Angel) vs Rey Fenix and Je'Von Evans

Ethan Page is on commentary. I think this is Evans' main roster debut. Angel and Rey trade shots. Rey cartwheels over him then flying headscissors him. Rey ripcord knees him and thye headbutt each other.

Evans rolls up Berto. Berto clubs on Evans. Berto 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Evans for 2. Evans step up enzugiri's Berto then seated springboard headscissors him. Evans dropkicks him out then stunners Angel. Angel takes kicks and a double dropkick. Berto comes off the top and runs into a double superkick for 2.

Rey and Angel fight. Rey springboard armdrags him and double stomps him. Rey enzugiri's Berto then jumps off of his back and headscissors Angel. Rey double jump moonsaults Angel for 2.

Rey spin kicks Berto in the face and takes a pop-up knee. Evans springboard lariats Angel then Berto springboard enzugiri's Evans. Evans and Angel trade chops on their knees then get up and trade. Evans takes a slingshot powerbomb for 2.

Berto is thrown off the 2nd rope to the outside. Rey ropewalk double stomps Angel. Evans top rope swantons everyone outside. Ethan Page holds his title up at Evans and says his focus shouldn't be on him. Page pushes Rey into Evans then throws Rey over the commentary table. Evans superkicks Page.

Berto rolls up Evans for 2 and Evans corkscrew kicks him off the ropes. Evans is pushed off the top by Page then Evans takes a double gorilla press pendulum drop and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was all high flying and it was an okay match. I didn't like Evans losing on his debut though or Rey taking yet another loss. Rey had a few slips here which was rare.

The Wyatt's take over the feed. Uncle Howdy talks but I can't undertand what he said.

Alba Fyre vs Zelina Vega

Alba bangs Vega's head off the buckles. Vega hits leg kicks on Alba. Alba goes for a side slam but is headscissored for 2. Alba shoulders her over. Vega armdrags Alba then hits corner punches. Alba rams her in the corner. Vega 2nd rope diving headscissors her.

Alba gordbusters Vega for 2. Vega flying knees her. Vega hits forearms on her then hits running lariats. Vega germans her. Vega corner meteora's Alba. Vega 2nd rope meteora's her for 2. Vega cutters Alba off a suplex attempt. Bega misses a to prope moonsault. Alba top rope swantons Vega for 2.

Green tries to hit Vega with her mask but nails Piper instead. Vega hits a code red on Alba and wins.

Thoughts:
It was average with lots of shenanigans near the end and work that wasn't super clean. Vega won as expected.

The Miz says if Carmelo Hayes follows the plan they will win. Miz says he keeps sacrificing himself for Melo and says he gave up his match for Melo. He says they will make sure "we" are Mr. Money in the Bank. Melo asks what he means. Melo says no one told him to take kicks from Black and says his talent brought him to the dance. He says he's him and needs Miz to let him be him.

Giulia does a video with subtitles. She says her goal isn't to be the best, it's to be indisputable. She says she's impossible to deny. She says she will hit harder, move faster and conquer everything like she has always done. She says the question is who will stop her.

Giulia and Zelina talk in the back. Giulia says she sees her but sees the title more.

Damian Priest comes out to talk. He has a black eye. He says him and Drew took their hate to the cage and went to war. DP says he put Drew in the past SNME. He tells Drew he still can't stand him but says he fought Drew the warrior. He says he's still coming for championships. He says this feud cost him his chance at MITB. He says he has his eyes on Jacob Fatu.

He says he respects Fatu but not the crew he follows around. He says if Fatu's crew gets involved, they can get hit too. He says he will always be el campeon.

DP goes to leave and Jacob Fatu comes out. They stare down and Fatu walks past him.

Andrade and Melo trade outside. Melo superkicks him then is superkicked by Fatu. Fatu misses a charge into the timekeeper's rail and goes through it alone.  We go to PiP break and return.

Melo and Andrade hit each other while down. Andrade does a top rope spanish fly and Fatu gets under Andrade and throws him. Fatu hits a top rope swanton on Melo for 2. Fatu is spinning back elbowed into a crucifix for 2. The Bloodline come out.

Melo springboard twisting lariats Andrade for 2. Fatu misses a double jump moonsault then Melo hits a top rope guillotine legdrop on Fatu's neck. Andrade and Melo trade pin attempts. Andrade spinning back elbows Melo twice. Fatu high angle ddt's Andrade.

Fatu corner hip attacks Melo then elevated ddt's Andrade. Fatu double jump moonsaults Andrade. Solo gets on the apron and tells him to do it again. JC agrees. Fatu is distracted. Jimmy Uso comes out and attacks Bloodline. Andrade hits the message on Melo and wins.

Thoughts: It was your usual 3-eay. There was lots of flying and cool moves here but not a lot of selling, so I didn't think it was a great as it looked. Andrade winning was a surprise and Melo loses yet again.

Fatu and JC argue after.

Byron interviews LA Knight. LA says everyone is punching their tickets for MITB. Aleister Black comes in. He says LA's win was partially his and he's welcome.

Fatu is knocking stuff over in the back and says he's tired of this as he rants. Solo says he as just trying to help. Fatu says he doesn't need his help. JC then walks in.

They run down the World's Collide card.

Cody Rhodes comes out to talk. He says we can talk about Wrestlemania 41. He said he drained his sorrows and touched the Tennessee cough syrup. He said he had a doubtful moment and reached out to a friend. He says his friend told him he was a good champ. He talked about things he thought and brought up The Rock asking for his soul. He said he also thought about John Cena. We get pro and anti-Cena chants.

Cody says he doesn't know if Cena will ruin wrestling but says he is partially to blame. Cody says he won't hesitate with Cena again. Cody says how about a surprise since he's back on SD. The crowd chants "yeet" and Cody says that would be a big surprise. He says Jey is here and brings him out.

Jey comes out through the crowd like usual.

We go to break and return. Jey yeets more. John Cena then comes out. Cna calls Cody and Jey John Cena wannabe's. Cena says Cody is too desperate and Jey is too lazy. Cena says his partner for MITB is here as well and he brings out Logan Paul.

Cena says Logan does WWE better than any wrestler. He says Logan doesn't need to pay his dues as he's paying your mortgage. Cena says everyone came to see him and Logan. Logan says he could walk on water and the crowd would say he can't swim. He says Cena speaks the truth. Logan says the people don't know what's good for them. Logan says he should be standing next to the champ as a champ. He said he should have the title around his waist but Jey got lucky.

Logan calls them cheaters and said Cody interfered. Logan calls them nepo-babies. Logan says no one would believe he'd be a WWE Superstar. He says Cena is the last real champ and says if Jey and Cody want some, come get some. Jey says they don't have to wait until MITb and can handle it right now.

Cena wants to leave and Logan pushes him. Cena gets in Logan's face. Cody makes a joke and they all fight. Cody disaster kicks Cena and Jey plancha's Cena. Logan buckshots into a superkick from Jey. Logan then takes a Cody1D.

Thoughts:
It was a weak and predictable segment that ended up going over the 11PM mark

Overall thoughts: We had a bunch of three-ways like we have been having the last few weeks. Unfortunately, that match type really limits you and the matches were only up to a certain level quality wise because of it. JC squashed Truth as expected. Je'Von Evans wrestled and had an okay match with LdF. Alba/Vega was average and the men's MITB Qualifier had some cool spots but not much selling. The segment to end the show was weak and I'd give this a 5 out of 10. It was just an average show that dragged at times and there's nothing I'd really recommend here.

WWF Wrestling Challenge 2/10/1991

WWF Wrestling Challenge 2/10/1991

Bobby Heenan and Gorilla Monsoon talk about the Warrior/Macho Career vs Career match to start the show. Heenan says both should think about this before agreeing to it.

They run down today's show and we see LOD and Demolition working out for tonight's main. LOD is hitting double axe handles on each other.

Taker clubs Alan then whips him down by the arm. Taker hits an elbow drop. Taker does a nice leapfrog and a nodowa otoshi. Taker hits a flying clothesline.

They lock up and Kerry pushes him in the corner. Kerry does an inset promo. He tells Ted Dibiase he can't be bought. He says he will give him a free promisary note and holds up his fist. Dale tries to get away from Kerry. Kerry back him up in the corner.

Kerry hits punches in the corner then knee drops him. Kerry lariats him. Dale is sent out. Kerry hits a shot to the gut then discus punches him for the win.

Thoughts: It was your usual limited Kerry squash with him not doing a ton but punches. This went longer than it needed to.

WWF Event Center

Sean Mooney hypes up a 3/2/91 Hulk vs Earthquake Stretcher Match. Ted Dibiase does a promo. He says he said Texan's couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time and says Kerry has proven it time and time again. He says Kerry is a mule who butts his head against the wall and doesn't get that he can't knock it down. He says he's an incompetent loser like Virgil.

The Legion of Doom do a promo. Hawk says Mr. Fuji throws salt in the air before matches and tells him to throw it over his shoulder for good luck. Animal says it'll take more than a few grains of salt to stop them. Animal says nobody stops them.

Pez takes an atomic drop and is lariated. War stomps him. War clubs and boots him. Pez hits some shots to the gut. War knees him in the gut then backbreakers him. War then submits him with the full-nelson.

Thoughts:
It as the usual Warlord squash here and wasn't much of note. Pez got a few shots to the gut in at least.

Slick stomps on Pez after.

Mean Gene talks about a WWF Magazine article on Rick Martel then brings Rick out. They talk on the stage. Rick says he's in demand all over the world and is a trend-setter. Rick says if Gene thinks seeing is believing, talk to Jake Roberts. Gene asks if Rick saw the fine print on the contract with Jake. He asks if Rick is blind. Rick gets mad. He says when he meets Jake, he will be fine too.

Boss chokes Doug. Boss clubs on him then spinebusters him for the win.

Thoughts: Boss wasn't that good of a face as usual here. His gutwrench suplex looked great though.

Boss then handcuffs Doug to the ropes after.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 3/2/1991 Boston Garden show. Hulk talks about the stretcher match with Earthquake and has a stretcher behind him. Hulk says a stretcher match is a hefty situation. He says when you think you can't take any more, he's gotta do a stretcher match. Hulk says Sgt. Slaughter is the new champ and he will clean his clock at Mania. He says what better way than to get ready for World War 7 than to fight Quake in a stretcher match. He asks what Quake and Jimmy Hart will do when they go out on a stretcher.

WWF Wrestlemania Report

Gene says Martel and Jake will fight in a blindfold match at Mania. Jake says Martel didn't read the fine print. He says Martel needs to think of what he went through and then he will get why this is happening. Jake says a blindfold match is a snake thing and Martel wouldn't understand.

We see Hulk Hogan visiting the troops.

Sgt. Slaughter and General Adnan do a promo. Adnan talks in his language. Sarge says all the scum just witnessed a Prime Time main eventer where Hulk laid down in the ring in pain. Sarge says Hulk has never faced a man like him before. Sarge says he's the WWF champ and Hulk is playing by his rules. Sarge says he will do whatever it takes to walk out champ.

Hulk Hogan does a promo. Hulk says the chair Sarge hit him with didn't mean anything. He says Hukamania will live forever after Wrestlemania 7. He says he will lead the brigade in the Middle East with the WWF Title and Sarge's carcass behind him.

Gene then talks about the instant replay debate at Wrestlemania VII.

The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) vs Demolition (Smash and Crush)

Mr. Fuji is with Demolition. Heenan says LOD don't sleep in a water bed due to their spikes.

Hawk is double clubbed on while Fuji distracts Animal. Hawk hits a flying double shoulder. Hawk fist drops Crush. Smash pulls Hawk over the top rope. Fuji hits Hawk with the cane outside.

Crush backbreakers Hawk then legdrops him. Smash chokes Hawk and calls him a punk. Smash then clubs on him. Crush 2nd rope double axe handles Hawk. Crush and Hawk double clothesline each other.

Animal and Smash get in. Animal back elbows him over then gets hit. Animal flips out of a double backdrop and hits a double clothesline. LOD go for the doomsday device and Fuji pushes Animal off the top. Animal then grabs Fuji but Smash saves Fuji from a doomsday device. All 4 men fight. Hawk hits a corner lariat on Smash then Animal hits one. The ref then raises LOD's hands, seemingly for the DQ win due to Fuji.

Thoughts:
It was a shorter one. It wasn't anything too great as the time just wasn't there. This not ending clean wasn't a shock but sadly, it doesn't really lead anywhere.

WWF Event Center

Sean hypes up the 3/2/1991 Boston Garden show. The Undertaker and Brother Love do a promo. Love says it's a matter of time until Tugboat is put 6 feet under. Love says his tombstone will say rest in peace. Taker says there will be no peace in his mortuary, just forgotten souls.

Jake Roberts asks how many shots Martel has in his gun. He yells at the production guy on the side to keep the camera rolling.

Jake says you gotta worry about how is receiving when you pull the trigger. Jake says he's not a man but a snake and says snakes do what it takes to survive.

Gorilla and Bobby hype up next week's show with a Full Nelson Challenge between The British Bulldog and The Warlord. Warlord says he can't wait to wrap his hands around Davey's neck and hear his bones break. Davey says he can break any hold and says we will see who breaks who.

Overall thoughts: We got to see Demolition vs LOD which was nice, but sadly we didn't get a clean finish. Jake cut some good promos on this show and they got me interested in next week's Full Nelson Challenge. We also got lots of hype for Mania VII and found out Martel didn't know he was signing up for a blindfold match. There's nothing you really need to see on this one and I wouldn't recommend it, but it wasn't that bad.

Reality of Wrestling 5/21/2025 GLORY Episode 5

Reality of Wrestling 5/21/2025 GLORY Episode 5

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/reality-of-wrestling-5172025-glory.html

The Moneybirds talk in the gym. Gigi teases Monroe for being late. Monroe says she will beat her opponent tonight and says she will get in the 2nd round of the tournament like she did. Monroe says she has her back if she needs her.

Savage King vs Blake Troop

Blake was at the Last Stand Rumble and this is his 2nd ROW match. Blake double legs him and slams him down. Blake shoots in and King avoids it. King armdrags him twice then armlocks him. Blake rope breaks and they trade forearms. Blake trips him, misses a kick and is rolled up. King side headlock takeovers him.

King shoulders him over and dropkicks him. Blake then goes out. Blake pulls King's throat down over the top then hits corner spears. Blake hits a corner lariat and punches to the gut. Blake then kicks him in the back. Blake chinlocks him. Blake knees him in the gut and the ribs.

Blake hits mounted shots. Blake hits chest kicks. King fires up and boots him out of the corner. King then la mistica drops him. King spinebusters Blake. They mess up the finish as Blake falls back on a flatliner and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was so-so. The finish got messed up and it went a little longer than it needed to. I think King could have used more offense here.

Edge Stone is interviewed. Edge is asked if he wants to be on the Platinum or Glory brand. Edge says which brand wouldn't be lucky to have him? He says he wants to go to Glory so he won't have to hear "Zilla, Zilla, Zilla". He says Zilla finally got the title back. He tells Zilla to stay on Platinum so they don't have to cross paths as Zilla knows what will happen.

Nick Rodriguez vs Edge Stone

This is Nick's debut in ROW. Edge pushes him off the lock up. Nick side headlocks him then Edge wristlocks him. Nick rolls and headflips out then wristlocks him. Edge hits shots on him. Nick goes up and over then is shouldered over hard.

Nick jawbreakers him and enzugiri's him. Edge pops him up high and Nick dropkicks him for 2. Nick sliding lariats him for 2. Edge suplex lifts him into a cutter and wins.

Thoughts: Nick was slipping a little here but it wasn't a bad showing. He can move and is an obvious face. Edge won as expected here but this did what it was supposed to and was fine. They said this was Nick's 4th match.

ROW Women's Glory Title First Round - Kalientita vs Gigi Rey

I'm thinking Gigi wins here and will meet her partner in this tournament.

Kal does a low step-up codebreaker for 2. Rey jackhammers her and wins.

Thoughts:
It was an alright match here. Rey's a good face and really looked like a pro in this one. This got a lot of time to play out too. Rey won as expected.

Juanito and Jonathan Vega of La Familia talk in the back. Semsei comes in and asks if the one guy has his knee pads. Sem is then given the knee pads. They say if they get focused, they can make real cash in a focused way. Someone comes up and has a problem with a Booker T figure they bought. The La Familia member tells him all sales are final and his buddy joins in when he finds out it cost $500. They then drink to it.

Ayden Cristiano vs Forneo

Ford goes for a coast to coast but is distracted by Juanito and then AC moves. AC does a stretch muffler variation with a headscissors and submits Forn to win.

Thoughts: It was alright. Forn did a lot of flying that not many others do here and he stuck out. He really need to get new gear though as it shows too much. I'd be up for seeing Forneo again.

La Familia beat up Forneo after.

Overall thoughts: It was an alright episode. There was nothing must see but nothing awful. The women's match was probably the best thing on here but the main wasn't bad either.  I'd give this one a 5 out of 10 and don't think you really need to see it.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/tna-impact-652025.html

We see Trick Williams beating Joe Hendry for the TNA title. The announcers are serious here and say the reality of Trick winning is setting in.

We see video from earlier in the day of The System beating up Octagon Jr. in the back. He's now out of the tag match tonight.

#1 Contenders to the Tag Titles - The Rascalz (Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz) vs First Class (AJ Francis and KC Navarro) vs Laredo vs The System (Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards)

Laredo shoulders over Trey. They armdrag each other and try dropkicks at the same time. AJ lariats Laredo and Trey together. Trey hits punches on KC. Zach double stomps KC on the back. Laredo hits a top rope double dropkick.

Alisha tries to get involved and is kicked out. Laredo flips off the top onto The System outside. KC is sent over the top and AJ catches him. The Rascalz then tope First Class. We go to break and return.
AJ hits Tennessee whiskey on Laredo in the corner. KC pulls Laredo's neck forward and double stomps him. First Class argue then try to pin each other. Zach codebreakers Eddie off the bottom rope and handspring jumping knees Brian. Eddie takes a PK and a running ssp for 2.

Laredo spinning ddt's AJ for 2. Trey tope con hilos The System outside. Zach crossbodies KC over the top. Laredo tornillos onto people off the top outside. AJ chokeslams Laredo. Trey hits a top rope meteora on AJ then pins Laredo to win.

Thoughts:
It was a shorter one but it was fine with some dives and lots of action.

We see The Nemeth's watching in the back. They are interviewed after. Nic says The Rascalz did good but aren't them. Ryan says they will be champs forever.

First Class argue in the back and ask where the other was. Mike Santana then attacks them and trades with AJ.

We get a video on Harley Hudson and Myla Grace. Myla says she's the first Irish TNA wrestler. She says she's been wrestling since 2018 and has wrestled everywhere. Harley says she won Gut Check in 2023. Myla said she wanted to get signed or go to Japan this year and accomplished both. Harley said she wrestled as much as she could and said no one looking like her is her secret weapon. Myla said she has trained everyday. Myla said she was told a relative died before a match but she wrestled anyway. They talk about their draw on Xplosion. Myla said nobody knew who they were in that match but wanted more.

George Iceman interrupts and is looking for Santino. Xia Brookside is there and says Santino isn't here. Myla and Harley then ask what was that.

Mustafa Ali vs Raj Singh

Ali hits Raj as it starts. Ali knocks him over twice. Raj goes for a leapfrog and is dropkicked in the air. Ali rolls in with neckrbeaker. Ali then barely hits on a standing corkscrew splash.

Ali ear claps him then Raj hits a big lariat. Raj hits punches then a corner splash. Ali boots him out of the corner. Raj ushigoroshi's him. John Skyler distracts Raj. Tasha pulls Ali out of the way on a corner dropkick. Ali 450's Raj and wins.

Thoughts
: It was short and made Raj look like a fool here as he got beat after he just returned.

Order 4 stomp on Raj after. Tasha tries to stop Ali. Ali grabs her by the hair. Raj takes a samoan drop + blockbuster combo.

Santino and Arianna grace talk in the back. Grace says she feel like she let him down and doesn't know what to do. Santino says Tessa is one of the best in the world and everyone is proud of Grace. He says they will be on the same team and will try to teach those sons of a guns a lesson. Grace then says she has something for him and brings in ref Jimmy Korderas. Jimmy says he will make sure everything is on the up and up.

TNA Injury Report

Tessa Blanchard has TMJ and is still competing tonight. Octagon Jr. has an upper body injury and he's day to day. Steve Maclin is cleared after a minor skull fracture.

George Iceman comes out to do the intro for The Elegance Brand. He says there's no lovely ladies in Brampton.

Ash mocks Lee's karate then slides out of the way from high kicks. Ash then does more karate poses outside. Ash taunts her then is snapmared. Lee rolls her up. Ash knees her in the gut. Lee legsweeps her then running knees her.

Lee basement dropkicks her. Ash stomps on her in the corner. Ash suplexes her into the buckles for 2. Ash chokes her on the ropes. Ash hip attacks her for 2. Ash pulls on Lee's arm and leg at the same time.

Ash misses a legdrop. Ash misses a corner charge. Lee hits punches on Ash. Lee jumping knees her and superkicks her. Lee hits mounted corner shots then exploders her for 2. Ash hits her in the back of the leg and meteora's her for 2. She yells. Ash chest kicks her while she's on her knees.  Lee and Ash both yell then Lee fisherman suplexes her. Lee hits a spinning high kick then reverse airplane spin drops her to win.

Thoughts: Ash was really good here and did whatever she good to try and put this over. She brought some comedy here and did some different stuff than usual. I actually ended up kind of liking this when I had no expectations for it.

Masha Slamovich comes out after. Masha says she will see Lee at Against All Odds and they shake hands.

Trick Williams talks. He says he wishes he could have been here tonight. He said he needed first class treatment and didn't get it so he didn't come. He says it's not about Santana, Hendry or Elijah. He says Santana better back up before he gets jacked up. He says it's time for a rebranding and says it'll turn into Trick-N-A. He says he will show up when he wants. He says he told Joe he would take his fans and brand.

Mance Warner vs Bryce Hansen

Mance pounds on him in the corner and chops him. Mance forearms him. Mance running boots him then lariats him. Mance hits a short arm lariat. Mance hits a running lariat. Mance hits a running knee then a lifting turning ddt for the win.

Thoughts: It was all squash here and wasn't particularly impressive.

Steph de Lander talks on the mic after. She says they never lost their titles and are still champs. She says she's watching Cardona/Maclin tonight and says the TNA International Title will come home with Mance.

We get a rosemary video. She talks about Xia Brookside finally snapping and said it took a big push. She says Xia is now ready and says there's one last step. She asks if she's ready to fill her soul with darkness and be absorbed by the void.

Santino Marella and Arianna Grace vs Robert Stone and Tessa Blanchard

I'm surprised they are giving this one away on free TV. Victoria Crawford and Alisha Edwards are with the heels. Stone says he has good and bad news. He says Tessa can't wrestle due to TNJ from Grace. She says Crawford will take her place. He says this match can't go over 10 minutes, Alisha Edwards will be the special enforcer and says the cobra is banned. Stone says if Santino does it, he will take his job.

Santino Marella and Arianna Grace vs Robert Stone and Victoria Crawford

Jimmy Korderas is the ref here. SM and Stone go at it. Stone ropebreaks before being touched. Stone tags in VC. VC takes down Grace off the lock up. Grace side headlock takeovers her and is put in a headscissors. VC then bumps to get away from Grace.

Tessa trips Grace from the outside and is ejected. Grace side headlocks VC then rolls her into a pin attempt. Grace hits bad punches to the gut then corner back elbows her. Grace suplexes VC.

VC throws Grace off the top for 2. VC elbow drops Grace then chinlocks her. Grace tries to tag in SM but Stone hits SM and SM is distracted. VC northern lights suplexes Grace for 2.

Grace backdrops VC. SM hits punches on Stone then splits out of a lariat and hiptosses him. SM headbutt drops Stone. Grace top rope crossbodies VC. Stone pulls the ref out then pushes the ref into SM. SM is then sent into the steps. Grace grabs Stone by the hair and VC split legdrops Grace. Alisha then counts the pin from Stone on Grace.

Thoughts: It had a lot of shenanigans wasn't that much.

The Northern Armory do a promo. EY says he has done everything there is to do here and said he pinned the X-Division champ at the PLE. Moose and JDC walk in. Moose says EY's a mad dog looking for one last bone. Mooe says everyone knows Canadian's are stupid. Moose says he beat EY in his own country for the title before and will do it for the X-Division Title. He says to make that match happen. EY then stares at the camera and leaves.

George Iceman comes out. He says Ash won't be part of this beautiful moment. He brings out Heather By Elegance. He then brings out "M By Elegance" who is the former Maggie Lee. M is wearing a black dress. They then do a toast "to Elegance".  Myla Grace and Harley Hudson interrupt.

Myla introduces her and Harley and said George interrupted them. She said they had a chance to share their stories and George took it away. They say they will do the same to them. Harley says respect has to be earned and they have to make an impact. They throw champagne at M.

Steve Maclin and Tommy Dreamer talk. Tommy tells him he fights for the people and all of them. He tells him to do this.

TNA International Title - Steve Maclin (c) Matt Cardona

Matt side headlocks him then SM back elbows him. SM running forearms him. Matt boots him. SM hits a uranage backbreaker for 2. Matt is thrown out and SM low topes him. SM elbow drops him off the apron then is sent into the steps. Matt is back body dropped on the ramp.

We go to break and return. Matt chokes him in the corner. Steve lariats him from the side. They trade forearms. Matt is lariated then SM hits a thesz press and mounted shots. SM olympic slams him. SM hits a corner lariat then a lariat for 2. Matt straightjacket drops him for 2. SM hits a top rope superplex for 2.

SM is crotched up top. Matt broski boot's him twice. SM blocks his third one then low flying knees him. SM 2nd rope headbutt drops him for 2. Matt low blows him using the ropes and hits an unprettier for 2. Matt grabs the title outside. The ref takes it from him. SM nearly hits the ref then Matt hits a radio silence for 2. Matt comes off the 2nd rope and is powerbombed.

SM lariats him from behind. SM hits his crosshairs spear in the corner then hits a KIA and wins.

Thoughts: It was okay and nothing more. Steve won as expected. The crowd chanted "Chelsea's better" at Matt. The match was put together fine but it wasn't anything you need to see.

Mike Santana is in the back. He said he came to handle his business with AJ. He says instead of talking about Trick, he will show us at NXT. He says the title will come back where it belongs to TNA.

Overall thoughts: It was an alright episode of TNA. There was nothing great or anything you really needed to see but they had some okay wrestling here. It was a bit lacking in starpower with Moose, Hendry and Elijah not in action. I would give this one a 5 out of 10 overall.

WWE Evolve 5/28/2025

WWE Evolve 5/28/2025

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/wwe-evolve-642025.html

The girls in the 4-way make their pitch for why they will win tonight.

WWE Evolve Title Play-In - Jackson Drake vs Lince Dorado vs Jordan Oasis

This is Lince Dorado's return to WWE. They show us clips from this week's Reality of Wrestling GLORY show where JO qualified for this.

JD hits shots on both opponents. JO is thrown out. JD powerslams Lince then top rope double axe handles Lince for 2. JO hits forearms on JD. JO blocks a flying a headscissors and does a sunset flip on JD. JO tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Lince. JO clips JD then gutbusters him for 2.

Lince top rope diving headscissors JO. Lince chops both opponents. Lince does a handspring double cutter. Lince then does a backcracker + senton combo for 2. JD fireman's carry gutbusters Lince and facekicks him out. JD topes Lince and JO.

JO sits up top and is enzugiri'd. Lince jumps off JD's back and dropkicks JO up top. Lince top rope hurricanrana's JO. Brad Baylor hold's Lince's foot down on a pin attempt. Lince enzugiri's JD then Lince tope con hilos onto Swipe Right outside.

JO backbreakers JD then flips on him while he's on the 2nd rope for 2. JO misses a corner charge and takes a flying knee. JD then picks up the pin.

Thoughts: It had the usual limits 3-way's have. It turned out a little better than expected but it wasn't anything great. Lince leaving to fight Swipe Right was dumb but excuses his loss.

Igwe and Dupont talk about Cappucino and Cartwheel tonight. Igwe says their team is more explosive and powerful. Dupont says they about to run into a brick wall. Igwe says their pressure will knock them out.

We get a video on It's Gal hanging out by the pool. He says he can't enjoy his fun in the sun due to Troy Yearwood. He says his physique is better than his. He says it's Troy's first and final warning to stay out of his way.

Jackson Drake cuts off the announcers and talks. He says his group has proven they are the hottest thing in Evolve and are just getting started. He says he will provied more drip when he wins the Evolve Title.

Edris Enofe comes out. He disagrees with Drake saying he's the hottest thing on Evolve. Enofe say's he looking forward to next week and says Drake is going home empty-handed. He says the Evolve Title will go around his waist. Sean Legacy comes out.

Sean said Vanity Project tried to get him out of the title match by using Lexis King, but he's still standing. Sean says he's been at this 8 years. He says he starts making his legacy next week and says he will celebrate with the title above his head next week. He says he will show the world why Legacy will always be super. Drake says he's super tired of listening to them. He says there's nobody who is qualified like him in the 4-way. He then runs into Keanu Carver. Drake gets stuck between his 3 opponents and they drop him with punches.

Chuey Martinez interviews Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones. Jones says Dupont and Igwe are big and bad but can't hit what they can't catch. Jack says they will use their speed against their power.

Jack Cartwheel and Cappuccino Jones vs Tyriek Igwe and Tyson Dupont

Jack and Igwe go at it. Jack is pushed over and kips up. Jack cartwheels out of a lock-up and a charge. Jack hits shoulders to Igwe's shoulder then is forearmed over. TD side slams Jack.

TD misses a corner splash. Jones basement dropkicks TD. TD is double lariated over the top. Wes Lee comes out to talk to Dupont and Igwe. Dupont lariats Jones from behind and hits mounted forearms. Igwe slams Jones.

Igwe knees Jones in the gut then hits a corner spear. TD hits a corner splash. Igwe spears the post when Jones moves and he's rolled up for 2. Jack is tagged in. He cartwheels then lariats Igwe. TD takes a double dropkick into the ropes. TD euros Jones over outside. Jack takes a backdrop + press and is pinned.

Thoughts
: I liked it. The big guys did power stuff and the smaller guys did faster paced offense and various flips. There was nothing wrong with this and everyone did what they were supposed to do.

Stevie Turner talks to Jin Tala, who is WWE LFG's Leigh Laurel. She says Jin is signed and will be a great addition. Jin agrees and says she will shake things up. Carlee Bright comes in. Stevie says Bright can't come out for the 4-way tonight. She then introduces her to Jin and says they will fight next week. Bright says may the best woman win and they shake hands.

Natalya arrives in the back. She says she's here to watch the 4-way and present the winner with the title tonight. She says she's excited to be here.

The High Ryze of Lee, Dupont and Igwe talk in the back. Lee is happy about the win. Igwe says power beats speed every time. Dupont says Jones and Jack didn't stand a chance. Wes says his crew have been causing all the ruckus here in Evolve. Wes says Jack and Jones have potential but it doesn't measure up to them. Wes says he'll be here next week and they can come up to him if they have a problem.

WWE Evolve Women's Title - Kendal Grey vs Wendy Choo vs Kali Armstrong vs Kylie Rae

I'm picking Kali to win this. This has elimination rules.

We get the big match intros for this one. The four pair off and fight. Kali pushes Grey over and lariats her. Kali is pulled out then Grey tope crossbodies all opponents outside. Grey basement knees Rae for 2.

Grey 2nd rope crossbodies Rae. Kali hits a double clothesline and backdrops Rae. Grey crossbodies Choo off a backroll. Everyone goes for pins. Choo does a double cradle then takes shots from all 3 girls.

Choo hits a double assisted sliced bread #2. Choo cartwheel forearms Grey in the corner then gets shots in on the other opponents. Choo top rope crossbodies Rae then takes a running back elbow from Gray. Kali running shoulders Choo. Rae superkicks Choo and pins her. That's Choo's first loss in Evolve.
We go to break and return. Kali stomps on Grey in the corner. Rae corner splashes Kali then cannonballs her then Grey. Kali hits a duble suplex on her opponents. Kali hits corner spears then Grey blocks her. Grey top rope moonsaults both opponents for 2.

Grey hits shots on both opponents then fireman's carries both over. Grey 2nd rope back elbows Rae then overhead belly to belly suplexes Kali. Grey rolling armbars Kali. Rae then crucifixes Grey off of that and pins her.

Rae hits mounted shots on Kali then stomps on her. Kali boots Rae. Rae spin kicks her in the gut. Rae crucifix bombs Kali. Rae goes up top, Kali walks up the buckles and belly to belly suplexes her. Kali goes for a flying shoulder and is crossfaced by Rae.

Rae rolls her up off a powerslam attempt. Kali powerslams her. Kali runs the ropes and shoulders over Rae for the win.

Thoughts: Kali won as expected here and she pretty much had to win. It wasn't as good as the four-way a few episodes ago but it was fine. Grey busted out a moonsault which I hadn't seen before. I was surprised Choo got tossed so early here from this.

Natalaya tries to give Kali the belt after and Kali takes it from her. Kali then poses.

Overall thoughts: It was a good show overall. The 3-way was okay just nothing great. I liked the men's tag match as the four worked well together. The main was okay but not as good as the 4-way from a few weeks ago. The show had no new debuts. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall but don't think you really need to see anything from it.

Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling 3/22/2025 Nanaimo

Vancouver Island Pro Wrestling 3/22/2025 Nanaimo

Todd Quality vs Sobalvarro

Todd misses a charge and takes a flying headscissors. Sob fireman's carries him down then dropkicks him. Sob headscissors him then falcon arrows him for 2. Todd's partner's Shawn Murphy helps him hit a ddt.

Sob spinebusters him for 2. Shawn gets on the apron and distracts the ref. Sob tries to hit him but Todd hits a jay driller and wins.

Thoughts: It was a decent opener. Sob's not the most athletic but he's a likeable face and the heels did what they were supposed to here.

Caleb Tentity and Brenden Roys vs Suspender Disbelief (Dash Dauntless and Garth Wayne)

Garth (orange shirt) has his suspenders snapped into him. He then pulls off the wig off of Caleb. He then hits an armdrag and japanese armdrag. Roys (long hair) takes a double elbow drop. Dash's throat is pulled down over the top rope and he takes a side slam. Roys leg lariats Dash for 2.

Dash takes a backbreaker + elbow drop combo. Dash is thrown out and Roys' team poses. Dash is choked with his suspenders then neckbreakered with them. Caleb then poses on him with a pin attempt and flosses himself with the suspenders.

Dash is bridged on the ropes and takes a butt drop on the back for 2. Roys reverse ddt's Dash for 2. Roys hits corner spears on Dash and does a bad facewash kick. Caleb slams Dash and walks on his chest. Dash hits a russian legsweep on him for 2 then Caleb pounds on him.

Dash gets free of his opponents, goes for the tag and Garth is pulled off the apron. Garth is then sent into the rails. Roys spinning neckbreakers Dash for 2. Dash corner back elbows Roys then Roys ddt's him. Dash's face is banged off the mat. Dash hits a flatliner off a pumphandle.

Garth is tagged in. Garth slips on the ropes on a crossbody. He hits back elbows on Caleb and flying lariats him. Caleb fisherman suplexes him for 2. Dash facebusters Roys. Caleb pumphandles Dash into an elbow slice drop. Garth's sliced bread #2 is blocked. Dash does a handstand hurricanrana in the corner on Roys then Gart leg lariats Roys from behind for the win.

Thoughts: Sadly, Dash and Garth pretty much botched all of their offense here which hurt this. They all had the right idea with Dash and Garth being the underdog faces but it went a little long and all the botching hurting it. Dash and Garth are likeable though and if they can work on hitting things cleaner, they can maybe be like a Ring Crew Express.

Evan Ashford vs Shawn Murphy vs "The Hillbilly Houndogg" Drayco vs Ren Yoshino

Evan has long black pants. Shawn has the pink and black trunks. Drayco has the red tanktop and Ren has the orange and black gear.

Ren and Dray shake hands. They then hit stereo punches on their opponents then stereo flying forearms. Evan and Shawn take ushigoroshi's. Ren and Dray then do stereo topes.

Ren hits forearms on Shawn then Shawn spinebusters him. Shawn 2nd rope elbow drops him in the face. We are told Drayco is hurt and is going to the back. Ren hits a corner splash on Shawn then germans Evan. Ren backdrops Shawn.

Ren hits corner splashes on Shawn and Evan. Shawn falcon arrows Evan for 2. Ren forearms Shawn then kicks him in the back. Ren then sweep kicks Shawn while he's seated. Shawn hits a pedigree on Ren and wins.

Thoughts: They didn't get enough time here, likely due to Drayco getting injured. It was short and fast paced but nothing too memorable.

Sid Sylum gets on the mic before his match. He says he's a VIPW original. The crowd chants "boring" as he tries to continue and he gives up on it. That sucksas I wanted to hear what he had to say.

Anarchy Rules Title Match - Cremator Von Slasher VS Sid Sylum

Both are heavies here and Crem is dressed like Jason. They stare down and Sid pulls at his mask. Crem grabs him by the throat and pushes him over the top. Crem bangs Sid's head off the apron. Sid bangs Crem in the gut with a chair and throws it in his face. Crem then does the same to him.

Sid's face is banged off the apron then Crem's face is banged off the apron. Sid goes to the back to maybe leave but Crem's buddy comes out and chases him back in. Sid's head is banged off the post then off a chair on the apron.

Crem facekicks Sid off the apron into the rails. Sid misses a corner charge and oges into the chair between the buckles. Crem then sends him into chairs between the other buckles. Sid hangs upside down outside from the ropes. Sid is grabbed and low blows Crem.

Sid usses a chair on Crem then sits in it and poses. Sid bulldogs him onto an open chair. Sid gets on the 2nd rope and slips, going out to the floor in a planned spot. Crem bangs Sid's head off the apron and chairs him in the gut. Crem then chairs him. Crem then runs at him and throws the chair.

Crem chairs him in the head. Crem chokeslams Sid in the ring and wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. It was all chair shots here and people having their heads banged off the post and the apron. It needed a bit more than we got and it went long for little they did.

Someone named Abadon spits mist in Crem's face then rams Anarchy (Crem's buddy) into the post. Abadon then chokes out Crem.

The Cordova Corporation get on the mic before their match. We can't hear much of it.  The ring announcer says he can't say their name for some reason and The Corporation gets mad.

VIPW Tag Titles - Cordova Corporation (Scotty Mac and Devon Shooter) vs Michael May and Danni Deeds

Mac is in the black and pink, Devon is in the green and black. Deeds is May's mystery partner. May and Deeds get hit behind to start then The Cordova's are both lariated over the top.

May wants to do a test of strength. One of the heels gets on the other's shoulders to test May's strength. May then pushes them both over with help from his partner. May hits a hiptoss then May crumbles on a back body drop attempt. May spinebusters Mac.

May hits a 2nd rope double dropkick. Mac's head is banged off the buckles. Mac misses a corner charge and takes corner punches from Deeds. Deeds armlocks Devon then side headlocks him. Deeds shoulders Devon over. The heels manager Cordova trips Deeds and Deeds is dropped with a forearm.

Devon stomps Deeds' hand then bites it. Devon forearms over Deeds. Mac foot chokes Deeds then headbutt drops him in the crotch. Deeds takes a double shot to the gut.

Devon stomps on Deeds then stomps his hand into the mat. Cordova chokes Deeds on the ropes. Deeds drops Devon with a punch. Deeds goes for the tag but Cordova pulls May off the apron. Mac knee drops Deeds for 2. Deeds takes a double knee to the gut.

Devon grounded sleepers Deeds. Deeds makes his comeback and hits a stunner. May tags in and hits lariats and back elbows. May hits a pumphandle suplex on Mac and Devon. May slingshots Cordova into the ring and takes his vest. Deeds tope con hilos over May onto Cordova. May hits a twisting pendulum backbreaker on Mac. Deeds goes up top and is pushed off the top by Devon. Devon spinning forearms Deeds. Deeds is held up and takes a 2nd rope shoulderblock. Mac pins Deeds.

Thoughts: It went a little long and May's comeback could have been better. It was your usual southern tag match with a hot tag. The heels ended up winning it though. It wasn't the cleanest but the idea was there and it was okay overall.

Badman McCann vs Jordie Taylor

Bad runs to the ring but JT has his whole crew with him. Bad takes out 2 members of JT's crew then hits an F-5 on the other. JT then takes down Bad and they get in top of each other and pound each other. Refs and security then come down to stop it. The wrestlers break through the security twice. Bad then comes off the top and dives on everyone. JT then pounds on him.

Bad grabs the mic. He says it has to end at Wrestlefest 2. Security breaks it up as they fight again.

VIPW Title - Street Fight - Scott Steel (c) vs Mat Maverick

Scott says they will get crazy tonight and asks his manager, Cordova, to let him wrestle alone tonight.

They hockey fight to start. Mat lariats him and Scott goes out. They fight outside. Mat is backdropped on the apron. They go back in and mat neckbreakers him for 2. Mat throws a garbage can in and Scott throws it out. Mat hits atomic drops then slams Scott. Mat misses a 2nd rope elbow drop.

Scott's head is banged off the concession tables. Scott's head is banged off a wall as they brawl in the crowd. Mat rams Scott with a ladder. Mat's head is banged off the ladder and the table. Scott climbs the ladder and splashes Mat through the table. Scott puts Mat on a cart and wheels him around the arena. Scott then gets a 2 count on him.

Scott basement dropkicks Mat in the corner. Scott duct tapes Mat to the ropes. A trash can is put in Mat's face and Scott hits a van daminator on him. Scott then gets a 2 count off of it. Mat breaks free of the tape.

They trade forearms on their knees. Mat grabs a table and brings it in. Scott hits the ref with the title belt on accident and busts him open. A second ref come out. Cordova pulls the ref out on the count and drops him with a punch.

Mac and Devon come out from earlier. They put Mat on a table. Devon top rope splashes Mat through a table. A 3rd ref is pulled out by Cordova. The ref botches the count and Scott wins.

Thoughts: It went a little longer than it needed to and had a slow pace. The ref also messed up the finish which hurt things. It got a little overbooked with the multiple refs but the work was okay enough here. This was all brawl.

The Cordova Corporation beats up Mat after then Deeds and May from earlier make the save. One of the heads of VIPW comes out and says they will have a Wargames match with The Cordova Corporation vs Team VIPW. The heels then pose to close the show.

Overall thoughts: It was a little bit long here. Nothing was super great but most of the matches were okay enough overall. I'd say the tag title match was maybe the best thing on here but everything was kind of on the same level quality wise. It is an indy though so you have to expect some issues. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as everything was about average to okay.
