Men's Owen Hart Cup Tournament Quarterfinal - Will Ospreay vs Kevin Knight
Will won with a hidden blade. Some of the big moments were: Will sat on top and KK jumped up from the mat to hurricanrana him. Will went for a styles clash on the ramp and KK ddt'd him there. KK then hit a top rope 180 splash for 2. KK did a springboard and was caught with a cutter. Will then hit a styles clash and os cutter for 2. Will then hit a hidden blade and win.
Thoughts: They didn't go too overboard with this and did a lot of flying as expected. I expected KK to get more in than he got. It was acceptable for what it was. The winner was never in doubt here as there was no way Will was losing this.

SB germans BK in the ring. Bobby spears BK and SB gets the pin.
Thoughts: It was okay. I thought it was a bit one-sided and it didn't feel like Bill and BK got enough in here to really be bought as contenders. They definitely needed some kind of big spot in this that they didn't get.

Hart puts her in heartless but Mone rolls her up for 2. Mone crossfaces her. Hart rolls her up for 2 then Mone pins her.
Thoughts: It wasn't good. They had a lot of sloppy and missed spots here and the finish fell flat. I also thought this went longer than it needed to. There was also little reason to suspect that Hart was winning here.
AEW World Trios Title - The Death Riders (PAC, Claudio Castagnoli and
Wheeler Yuta) vs Rated FTR (Cope, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood)

Thoughts: The match was alright but not a classic. It had fast paced action with lots of people coming in and out. I didn't think it would hurt if The Riders lost but The Riders winning fit better with Dax's story a the moment.
The faces hug after. Dax then piledrivers Cope. Dax wants to conchairto Cope and gives Cash a chair. Cash pushes Dax over. Cash then helps Dax do a shatter machine to Cope. Cope then takes a spike piledriver on a chair. Cash conchairto's Cope twice.
Cash puts the neck brace on and Dax pretends to give chest pumps to Cash on the stretcher. Dax then tips the stretcher over. Cope is then wheeled out on the stretcher.
Thoughts: I was a bit surprised by this. I figured FTR wouldn't turn on each other as they'd be useless as singles wrestlers. I'm curious as to who teams with Cope to get revenge on FTR. I'm not sure how much staying power FTR have as heels though in AEW, which is a heel heavy promotion.
AEW Women's Title - Toni Storm (c) vs Megan Bayne
Penelope Ford is with MB. Toni had a mini video for her entrance with her running around, showering and yelling in her bed. I think this was a Rocky inspired video. Toni and Luther then wear some boxing attire.

Thoughts: The selling wasn't much as expected. Meg nearly got decapitated on the 2nd rope german. I didn't like Meg losing but I'm not surprised. Toni just won the title and wasn't losing here. I'm not sure what you do with Meg now though.

Kyle wore pink here and tope'd Mark as he tried to enter. Mark exploders him and uppercuts him on the apron. Kyle superkicks him on the apron then Kyle is back body dropped on the apron. Mark blockbusters Kyle onto the apron.

Thoughts: This was complete garbage with people kicking out of burning hammers and taking moves on rails and the apron yet nobody really affected by it. It was your typical brainless Kyle Fletcher match was beyond indy.

Aubrey goes up to Band's family. They point towards the bat Jericho had. Aubrey talks to the ref and the match continues. Bandido's sister flops her chest around and slaps CJ. Band knees CJ in the face and hits a 21 plex. Band then pins him.
Thoughts: I didn't like it. The powerbomb on the apron from the floor should have ended things yet it went on another 15 minutes. The bat shot also looked horrible, but thankfully, it didn't end up being the finish. I also didn't like Band's sister being able to slap CJ in front of 2 refs without either caring. The two wrestlers did work okay together otherwise though and I really liked the tornillo into the codebreaker spot. I expected Bandido to win here because his gimmick would be dead otherwise and it's clear they like him so he wasn't going to lose. I do wonder if this means they have given up on ROH on TV because CJ being champ was supposed to be part of the selling point.
AEW TNT Title - No time limit or interference - Daniel Garcia (c) vs Adam Cole
They try to lock up and pieface each other. They trade forearms. Cole hits chops in the corner and DG flying dropkicks him. DG corner lriats him. DG hits mounted corner punches.

Cole ropebreaks. Cole is sent into the steps knee first. They fight on the steps and Cole hits overkill on his knee while standing on the steps, which is a dumb spot. Cole then hits a panama sunrise off the steps onto the floor.
Cole's leg gives out. DG hits his own panama sunrise. DG hits Cole's boom knee on him for 2. They fight on the buckles. Cole then hits a panama sunrise from the 2nd buckle. Cole hits another panama sunrise from the 2nd buckle. Cole then hits a boom knee and wins.
Thoughts: I hated it. They didn't sell then panama sunrise much at all when it should have sent someone to the hospital. Cole also sold the ankle big early on then they just had the usual match and ignored it. Thankfully it didn't go on as long as expected. The concept of a no interference match is also stupid since every match is a no interference match.
They shake hands after.
AEW International Title - Kenny Omega (c) vs Ricochet vs Mike Bailey
Kenny won with an OWA off the 2nd rope on Ric. I didn't think it was their best effort possible. There weren't any spots that were too wild or original here which is surprisingly with how much those three focus on that stuff. It had the usual three way limitations and never really became the spotfest you would expect. This one also really went a lot longer than it needed to at over 30 minutes.. I wasn't surprised to see Kenny win as they teased Okada/Kenny but Mike winning would have really been the best option so he could get over.
Kazuchika Okada comes out. I don't know why he wasn't on this PPV. He stares down Kenny and Kenny leaves.
AEW Title - Jon Moxley (c) vs Swerve Strickland
It was a longer, slower, brawl. Mox controlled things for the first half and played around with Swerve's blood. Swerve slowly and eventually got back in it. Shafir came in, hit Nana with a briefcase then took a cutter from Mox by mistake. Swerve hit an M.Bison stomp through a table on Mox when both were on the ladder.
Mox threw a chair at Swerve but missed and hit the ref. Swerve then vertebreakered Mox. Adam Page came down then The Death Riders came down and beat up Page. Page cleared them off then hit a deadeye on Mox. The Ops then came down and joined the fight for some reason. Swerve hit a top rope double stomp and the lights went out. The Young Bucks then appeared, for unknown reasons and hit an EVP trigger on Swerve. Mox then won.
It was a long match. I just thought it was average and the interference didn't really add anything here. I didn't really understand the motivations of The Bucks, The Ops or Page here. I wasn't surprised to see Mox win here as the plan seems to be for Darby to beat him and Darby is still gone.
Overall thoughts: It was the usual extremely long AEW PPV that ran until after midnight. I didn't like it. The main went too long, had some odd run-ins and was just average. The three-way wasn't really the spot fest you would expect and it went over 30 minutes for some reason. Cole/Garcia was bad indy wrestling. Bandido/CJ had a wide variety of issues though they did work well together. Fletcher/Briscoe was absolutely awful and as indy as it gets. Bayne almost got decapitated in her match and her losing to Toni doesn't help her out. The trios title match was fine. Mone/Hart wasn't good. The opener and the tag title match were alright. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 total. The show went way too long and it was just a filler PPV for the most part without any major changes.
