WWE NXT The Great American Bash 2025 7/12/2025

Note - This show was put on directly against AEW All:In Texas.

We are in Atlanta, GA.

We see various wrestlers arrive with Oba walking around outside. Inamura and Briggs are at the airport.

Jasper Troy vs Je'Von Evans

Evans has taped up ribs. Troy grabs him by the head in the corner and on the ropes. Evans slaps him then hits punches in the corner. Evans hits him from the apron and bangs his head off the buckles. Evans' springboard is caught. Evans hits a nice dropkick.

Evans gets on his back with a sleeper. Troy walks over the top rope and they both roll down to the floor. Troy rams Evans' back into the apron edge. Evans kicks Troy as he enters. Evans step up enzugiri's him. Troy then throws him over the top by the throat.

Evans is thrown into the rails. Troy carries him to the apron and throws him in. Troy splashes him. Troy splashes his back. Troy then kneels on him and pulls his chin and face. Troy slams him then misses an elbow drop.

Evans forearms him and tries to german him but can't. Evans superkicks him. Evans is caught in the air. Troy slams him on the buckle, backbreakers him and throws him on a slam. Troy corner splashes him then throws him. 

Troy stands on Evans' face. Troy then does a grounded abdominal stretch on him. Troy misses a corner charge. Evans hits punches. Evans superkicks him. Evans tries to jump on the ropes but goes down due to his injured ribs. Troy stands on the injured ribs. Troy then misses a vader bomb.

Evans hits shots to the face then pounds on him in the corner. Evans superkicks him. Evans springboard crossbodies him for 2. Troy blocks an os cutter then Evans corkscrew kicks him off the ropes for 2. 

Troy misses a corner move and goes over the top. Evans suicide dives him. Evans germans him. Evans hits a top rope frogsplash for 2. Troy hits a big chokeslam then bodyblocks Evans. Evans counters a blackhole slam with a sunset flip and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a good match. Both guys did what they were supposed to do here and did a good big vs small man match. Troy did a good job as the monster and looked a lot more experienced than he is. I don't love Troy losing, but he's obviously going to be a player going forward and he'll be running this brand soon.

Jaida Parker talks about Evolution's battle royale. She says she will use the stars power to get to the spotlight she wants. She says she be the winner of the battle royal. She says everyone will remember her name at The Clash in Paris.

Stacks does an instagram video. He says they put the final nail in the coffin of The D'Angelo Family. Stacks says he wants to make The Heritage Cup the championship in NXT. He makes a list of contenders for it including Mike "The Situation" (Jersey Shore), Johnny Saint, Koko B. Ware, Randy Or ton Jr., A-Train (One of the NXT coaches), Gregory Paul (no idea), Santino Marella and "Fat Lexis King".

He says they all said no and disconnected the call except for Lexis King. He says Logan's dad Gregory Paul is due for a whooping as it Randy Orton Jr. (Myles Borne). He goes over all the contenders. We then see Stacks go into the Performance Center and go up to A-Train.

He says A-Train won the lottery and said he accepted Stacks' challenge. Train says he was hacked and it wasn't him. Train tells him to keep his head on a swivel. Stacks then sees his Heritage Cup is missing and goes looking for it.

Sol Ruca and Zara are interviewed. Sol said she had her Smackdown debut yesterday and everyone saw her snatch 2 ouls. She says Izzi is a master manipulator. The Dark State interrupt the feed. Zaria says she will be in Sol's corner to make sure nothing goes wrong, especially with Tatum.

WWE NXT Women's North American Title Match - Sol Ruca (c) vs. Izzi Dame

Tatum and Zar are in the ring as this starts. Tatum slaps Zar. Zar chases her around the ring. Izzi sky highs Sol but the ref is arguing outside with Zar and comes in late.

Izzi hits hard chest forearms in the corner then corner spears her. Izzi side slams her. Sol boots her out of the corner and hits a top rope dropkick. Sol PK's Izzi from the apron. Sol flying headscissors her off the steps.

Sol PK's her for 2. Sol hits forearms in the corner. Sol is dropped throat first on the ropes. Izzi gorilla press gutbusters her. Izzi hits knees to the gut. Sol hits flying shoulders and a flying lariat. Izzi rolls her up for 2. Sol does a bad backstabber variation and one of the strings on her outfit is falling off. Sol 2nd rope connector moonsaults Izzi outside. 

Sol springboard 450 lariats her for 2. Izzi throws Sol off the top and diving codebreakers her for 2 from the buckles. They trade shots. Izzi running forearms her and knees her in the gut. Sol upkicks her. Sol enzugiri's her on the buckles. Sol slips on a springboard then top rope diving facebusters her.

Izzi dropkicks her in the back. Sol's springboard is caught and Izzi chokeslams her down. Izzi flips her from the backdrop and cutters her out of it for 2. Izzi comes off the bucklers and is caught with a superkick.

Sol spears her for 2. Tatum tries to help Izzi out of the ring. Zar then hits a big spear on Tatum. Izzi slaps Sol then Sol hits a sol snatcher for the win.

Thoughts: It went a little longer than it needed to. Sol had 2 sloppy moments here. This was probably the longest we ever got to see Izzi wrestle for. She does some of the right things but they never lean into her wrestling like a hoss and I think it's to her detriment. It started out okay but lost its team as it went along and it's hard to say it was much more than average.

We get a Lola Vice instagram video. She said she made her AAA debut and says she will knock everyone out when she wins the Evolution battle royale.

Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace. Blake says Fatal Influence get a taste of the glamour before Grace wins the title tomorrow.

WWE NXT North American Title - Falls Count Anywhere - Ethan Page (c) vs Ricky Saints

Rick hits him before intros are done and spears him. Rick running boots him outside and throws him into the rails. Rick hits Page with a kendo stick. Page throws Rick a rail onto a trash can. Page hits Rick with the trash can.

They go into the stands. Rick punches him there and hits a punch flurry to the head. Page is banged into the walls and thrown in through a door. Rick hits Page with a trash can and hits him with a cup. Page rams his back into a pillar. Page crabs him in the lobby.

Page's head is banged off the bar. Rick then hits doi fives on Page through the merch table.

Page is sent into a wall then Rick is sent into the steps. Page chairs him in the gut. Page sends him into the post with a chair around his neck for 2. Rick sprays Page with a fire extinguisher. Rick then hits him with it.

Rick drops a rail on Page then chairs him. Page's neck is rammed into the top buckle. Rick sits on the top rope. Rick then diving facebusters Page on an open chair for 2. Rick is back body dropped on the top edges of 2 chairs then he is suplex on a guard rail for 2.

Page chairs Rick. Page hits punches on him. Rick bites Page up top and powerbombs him on a set of a 2x2 open chairs for 2. They go to the back and run into Jasper Troy, who is punching a wall. Page is sent into a wall then Rick is thrown into a room with tables. Rick hangs off a pipe and dropkicks him. Rick hits him with a flip flop.

Rick is pushed into Jasper Troy. Troy black hole slams Rick onto a case on wheels. They go back to the ring. Rick punches Page and Page is knocked to the ramp. Page is back body dropped onto the ramp. Rick tornado ddt's Page on the stage off the ref for 2.

Page back body drops Rick on the stage. Page throws him off the stage through tables with an ego's edge. Page then pins Rick and wins.

Thoughts: It was as advertised. They fought all over the arena and it was mostly just hardcore weapons wrestling. The finish was big enough that I don't think Ricky loses much by losing that way plus Jasper Troy got involved which should also set up Ricky's next program. I was a bit surprised to see Ricky lose here. The work wasn't anything too great but it was fine for what it was.

Luca Crusifino does a video from the beach. He says it's the final battle for The D'Angelo Family on Tuesday. He says he's glad it's coming to an end. He says it's time for him to step up and stop being seen as a background lawyer. He says he will be a guy that won't just carry a family but the stand. He says Stacks is overlooking him. he says it will be all about Luca on Tuesday.

Ava comes out. She says she is officiating the contract signing for the TNA Title match at Slammiversary. She brings out Mike Santana, Trick Williams and Joe Hendry.  

Mike says he doesn't take moments like this for granted. He says it signifies the hustle and the respect. He says he thinks Trick has gotten soft. He says Trick is all sizzle and no steak. Mike says TNA was built off the backs of some of the best wrestlers. He says he will be the man to bring it back to the roots at Slammiversary.

Joe says he won't be distracted by Mike in reclaiming the title he shouldn't have lost in the first place. He says Trick has been using High Ryze and First Class as shields. He says there will be no one to protect Trick at Slammiversary. Joe says Trick is comfortable as we are in his house, but he will be behind enemy lines at Slammiversary. he says he will make him believe in Joe Hendry.

Trick Williams says when they talk to their champ, they better put respect on his name. He says he is him and they are not him. He says he's the one with the stroke and the steak and the sizzle. He says he has the midas touch and is the man carrying 2 brands. He says that's why he's the greatest TNA champ of all time. The crowd chants "AJ Styles" and Trick says, "and Trick Williams". Trick says he doesn't need help to whip their @sses next week. He says it's Trick-N-A and will always be Trick-N-A.

Trick goes to leave and Joe grabs him. Joe says him and Mike don't agree on a lot. Joe says they agree the title is coming home to a TNA Superstar. They then say he talks too much. They hit him and send him through the table in what was not exactly a face moment.

Thoughts: Trick was really good here. I guess this could help get TNA some viewers so it might be good in that aspect but it would have been better on a TNA show.

The Dark State then appear with Joe and Mike in the ring. They fight and Mike is thrown into a double powerbomb.

Kelani Jordan does a video. She puts over Evolution. She says she will be the standout superstar.

Tony D'Angelo does a video near the river. He says it's always been about business. He says it has got cruel and ruthless but it's business. He said then it got about family. He said he brought in Stacks and gave him purpose. He says he brought in Rizzo and Luca. He says they became a true success story but the empire was built on a faulty foundation of ego and broken trust. He says Tuesday will be the saddest day of his life as he has to destroy the family he created. He said Tuesday will be the final ride of The D'Angelo Family. He says he got Stacks a parting gift ahead of Tuesday and said he will come in a bit light. He then throws the NXT Heritage Cup into the river.

Josh Briggs and Yoshiki Inamura talk in the back. Josh says he's ready and tells him to go become champ. Inamura says he will do it but with honor. 

WWE NXT Title Match - Oba Femi (c) vs. Yoshiki Inamura

YI = Yoshiki Inamura

They lock up and Oba side headlocks him. Oba shoulders him over and YI pops right back up. They do a double knuckle lock. YI pushes him down then side headlocks him.

YI tries a corner splash and Oba overhead throws him on it. YI charges at him sumo style and throws him. YI hits a corner splash then shoulders him over for 2. YI elbow drops him. YI runs the apron and Oba chops him.

YI then diving shoulders him off the apron. YI spinning slams him for 2. YI tries an up and over and takes a big ending for 2. Oba stomps him and stands on his chest. Oba hits knees to the gut then drops him gut first on the top rope for 2. Oba gutbusters him. YI rolls on him on a backdrop tattempt and crucifixes him. Oba spinebusters him for 2.

YI blocks a suplex then suplexes Oba. YI hits a chop and forearm combo in the corner. YI spinning forearms him. YI germans him for 2. YI misses a jump off the top. Oba then euros him into the ref in the corner. Josh Briggs gets on the apron and hits Oba with the NXT Title. YI doesn't see it. YI goes for the splash and Briggs cheers him on. YI suspects Briggs used the title belt and they argue.

YI running battering rams Oba. YI hits a top rope splash on Oba but the ref is down outside and can't count. Briggs tries to give him a chain to use in front of the ref. Oba chokeslams YI for 2.

They trade forearms and chops. YI does a big sitout powerbomb style drop for 2. YI gets a 2 count on Oba then Oba pop-up powerbombs him for the win.

Thoughts: It needed to be a bit faster and a bit stiffer. They didn't really full go into the hoss style match like they should have. What we got was fine but not super memorable and I don't think they got the most out of either guy here. I feel like the stuff with Inamura and Briggs is going somewhere though.

Lash Legend does a video. She says there's no reason why she won't win the Evolution battle royal.

Trick talks to Ava in the back. Ava asks what was that. Trick says exactly. He says Mike and Joe are plotting against him and asks what can be done about it. Ava says that's not what she's talking about. She brings up Dark State jumping Joe and Mike. Ava says that's convenient. Trick says they have nothing to do with each other and Dark State jumped him too. Ava says they will have no problem then when Trick, Joe and Mike fight Dark State on Tuesday. Trick says, "aw hell no".

Oba is interviewed. He said Inamura deserves better but the right man came out on top. Inamura comes in. he says thank you for the challenge. He says he is sorry about Briggs. Oba says it's alright and he will give him a title rematch soon. He says he deserves one without Briggs. Briggs comes in. He says he beat a man of honor but says Oba has no honor. Briggs pushes him and people come to break up that fight. Josh says he has this on Tuesday.

Blake Monroe and Jordynne Grace vs Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley)

I do not know why this is the main and don't agree with it being put in over Oba/Inamura.

Fallon slaps JG on the back. JG flurries on her in the corner. Fallon's head is banged off the buckles. JG goes up and over and chops her down. JG atomic drops her and flips her with a side slam.

Jacy and JG go at it. They try pin attempts and stand off. Blake and Jacy go at it. Blake works her arm and wristlocks her. Jacy rolls and headflips out. Jacy yanks her arm. Blake flips out using the ropes and is pulled down by the hair.

Jacy misses a senton and is dropkicked. Fallon bodyscissors Blake down then takes a dropkick. JG slams Blake onto Fallon. Blake monkey flips JG into a splash on Fallon. Blake chops Fallon then spinning side slams her for 2. Jazmyn Nyx hits Blake from the outside then Fallon swinging facebusters Blake. 

Jacy foot chokes Blake. JG gets in and shoulders and lariats the heels over. Jacy superkicks her in the gut. JG hits a double northern lights suplex. JG chases Fallon around the ring then Jacy boots her in the chest. Fallon hits chops on JG. JG takes a double suplex for 2. Jacy facelocks JG. Jacy back elbows her then hits mounted punches. Jacy superkicks her in the face. Fallon running forearms JG for 2. Fallon boots JG in the corner then Jacy joins in. Jacy chops JG in the corner.

JG rolling death valley drivers Fallon. Blake is tagged in. She hits shots and slingblades on the heels. Blake handstand hurricanrana's Jacy on the buckles. Blake 2nd rope dropkicks Jacy for 2.

Jacy and Blake fight on the apron. The heels stop Jacy from being powerbombed down. Jacy cannonballs Blake off the apron. Fallon 2nd rope blockbusters Blake for 2. Fallon superkicks Blake in the gut then Blake rolls her up for 2. Blake headbutts her in the chest. JG spinebsuters Fallon.

Blake running knees Fallon for 2. JG gets hit on the ramp by Fallon. Fallon runs and spears JG in the ring from the ramp. Blake and Jacy trade forearms. Jacy step up enzugiri's Blake. Blake germans her.

Blake goes up top and Nyx pushes her down. Masha Slamovich then comes down and fights with Nyx. Blake takes a running knee/running kick combo for 2. The four girls pair off and fight. Fallon wraparound kicks JG around the post. Jacy superkicks Blake then she rolls her up for 2.

JG back elbows Jacy and Blake ddt's Jacy for the win.

Thoughts: It was a TV style match. No one did anything too crazy here and there weren't any big spots or big moments. It was acceptable but not much more. 

Overall thoughts: The opener was good. Sol and Izzi had the time and the platform but just didn't deliver. Page and Saints did as much as they could in their match and did the best with the stipulation, but it was mostly a hardcore focused match. What we got was fine. Oba/Inamura was not either guys best work and while it was fine as a hoss match, this should have been great. The main was just okay but weak and belonged on TV, not a PLE. I'd give the show a 6 out of 10 total, but this was not a great show. They didn't try to go all out here minus Saints/Page and it was not the best show they could have done with the matches they had.
