Keanu Carver and Harlem Lewis vs Gallus (Joe and Mark Coffey)

HL and KC slide out and fight Gallus before it starts. Wolfgang joins in. Stevie Turner and security break it up. Stevie says, "let them go, in now, ring the bell".

Mark throws Lewis out. KC and Joe trade forearms and nail each other at the same time. Lewis suplexes Mark on the floor. KC misses a corner charge then hits forearms on Joe. Joe forearms him back then they crossbody each other at the same time. KC and Joe trade more. Joe running headbutts him then takes a pounce.

KC suplexes him for 2. KC throws him. Lewis gets in and slams Joe. KC tags himself in then he argues with Lewis. KC and Lewis argue more. Lewis runs into a double boot. Joe double springboard crossbodies KC. Mark suplexes KC. Joe backdrops KC for 2.

Lewis and KC end up as the only two in the ring. KC scares away Joe then Lewis lariats KC from behind. Lewis then leaves. KC is double lifted for a german for 2. Joe spinning lariats KC and wins.

Thoughts: Gallus got fired a week ago so this has to be one of their last matches. This was kind of a car crash with Keanu and Lewis fighting the whole time and doing some big lariats and forearms with their opponents in between. Sadly this is one of those situations where the story got in the way of what might have been a good match otherwise.

Timothy Thatcher and Sean Legacy talk in the back. Sean says he saw Lexis King and The Vanity Project getting too cozy last week. He asks Thatcher to be in his corner during his match. Tim is suspicious but he agrees. They shake hands. Sean slaps him on the chest and Tim gets mad.

Edris Enofe does a sitdown interview with Chuey Martinez. He's wearing a suit. This is his first appearance in Evolve. Chuey says we haven't seen him for 7 months. He said he had a shoulder injury but it's a blessing in disguise. He says he built himself up mentally and physically and show the world why he's more than just potential.

Chuey says he used to be in a tag team but now he's solo. He says being in a tag team means you do half the work. He says it's just me now and says he knows he can do it. He confirms he has his eye on the Evolve title. He says he can't allow anyone to go past him. He says the best way to test his abilities is to come here in Evolve against the hungriest of the hungry.

Masyn Holiday and Chantel Monroe are watching the show in the locker room. MH says it's nice to see Enofe back. CM's too worried about herself. MH asks if CM will be in her corner tonight and she asks why she would ever do that. MH says to tell her when she's ready to show the world what she truly is.

Kali Armstrong vs Masyn Holiday

MH does some kind of dance with poses on her way to the ring. Kali backs her up on the ropes then side headlock takeovers her. MH headscissors her and Kali kips up. Kali wristlocks her then takes her down by the arm. MH flips out using the ropes then armlocks her.

MH shoulders her over then crossbodies her for 2. Kali hits a pop-up forearm. MH's head is banged off the buckles then she takes corner spears. Kali slams her for 2 then does a grounded cobra twist. MH fights her way out then Kali back elbows her.

MH shoulders her over then dropkicks her for 2. Kali powerslams her. Kali then running shoulders her over and wins.

Thoughts: It was mostly a squash here. Kali looked good and her improvement over the last year has been wild. MH didn't get to do a lot but she didn't botch anything. She's still pretty green but it wasn't a bad effort.

Kali gets on the mic after. She says she's proven she's a difference maker and will be a history maker in a few weeks when she's the women's champ. She says the women's locker room is impressive. She says the title is coming home with her.

Zayda Steel comes out. She introduces herself and says Kali is delusional. She says she has a brain but Kali doesn't as she doesn't know that the women's title has one name on it and it's hers. Chantel Monroe comes out. She says no one wants to hear Zayda's whiny voice. She says Kali isn't the reflection of perfection like she is. She says when you talk perfection, you need a women's champion to go with it.

Kylie Rae comes out. She brings up Wendy Choo but isn't here to talk about that. She says there's still one spot open in the 4-way title match. Zayda tells her to shut up and says the best Kylie ever looked was when Wendy did a makeover on her. Zayda says Wendy should have put her in the pillow case  and sent her far away then Kylie nails her.

The four girls fight and Kali gorilla presses Chantel onto the other girls outside. Kendal Grey then olympic slams and belly to belly suplexes Kali. 

Keanu Carver talks to Stevie in the back. He says he will punish Harlem Lewis when he sees him. Stevie says he can fight Harlem next week.

It's Gal vs Javier Bernal

JB has a see thru shirt and headbangs on his way to the ring.

They lock up. Gal wristlocks him. JB rolls through then reverses it. JB side headlocks him. JB flying headscissors Gal then dropkicks him. Gal is over the middle rope and JB superkicks him.

JB goes up top and crossbodies Gal for 2. Gal throws him then spinning lariats him for 2. Gal hits shots on JB in the corner then chinlcoks him. Gal single leg dropkicks him for 2.

Gal misses a legdrop and takes a low dropkick to the head. JB knocks him over twice then back body drops him. JB flying  single leg dropkicks himn in the corner then superkicks him. JB hits a half-nelson lifting flatliner for 2. Gal running facekicks him. JB then rolls him up for 2.

Thoughts: Like Gallus, Javi was fired after this was taped so who knows what will come of it. It was a different match from Javi than usual with him doing dropkicks and new offense. Gal's more of a character than a wrestler and reminds me of Duke Hudson in the ring. It was acceptable not that great or anything.

Gal nails Jav from behind after and then pounds on him. Gal hits mounted forearms then blue thunders him.

Stevie Turner and Nikkita Lyons talk in the back. Stevie says she's been so impressive and is welcome here anytime she wants. She says she may have to invite her for the play-in match in the title 4-way. Lyons says to call her once they crown a champ.

Chuey Martinez interviews Kylie Rae. She says she was told she will be in the play-in for the title. She says she can't wait and is her chance to win her way into the match. Chuey asks what the Wendy Choo match was about. She says she took the loss to her tough but doesn't have time to talk about it.

Stevie Turner has Troy Yearwood sign a contract. He thanks her for giving him the change to show his skills in Evolve. He says he show those people in LFG that he is a star and can make it in LFG. It's Gal comes in. He asks what they thought of that. He says he gave Javi something else to whine about and says it was breathtaking and ferocious like him. Gal interrupts her. Troy says that's no way to speak to her. Gal says not to be mad as he has a better physique than him.

Lexis King vs "Super" Sean Legacy

They get the big match intros for this one. Thatcher is with Sean.

King wristlocks him. Sean rolls and is armlocked. King wristlocks him. Sean rolls and headflips out then wristlocks him back. Sean armdrags and armlocks him. King rolls, cartwheels then upkicks to escape. King walks on Sean's back and struts.

Sean shoulders him over then throws him down by the arm. Sean dropkicks him in the knee, double stomps his back and dropkicks him. Sean chops him. Sean goes up and over. Sean sits on top and is dropkicked down. King drives Sean's back into the apron edge.

We go to break and return. King kicks Sean in the back. Sean gordbusters him then kicks him in the back. Sean tries a standing moonsault but King gets his knees up. King surfboards him but Sean rolls onto him. 

King is thrown out then Sean topes him. Sean springboards and is caught with a superkick for 2. King backbreakers him and stretches him over his back. Sean ddt's him. Sean shoulders him over then spin kicks him. Sean germans him. Sean hits a springboard dropkick for 2. King rolls Sean into a half-crab. Sean escapes.

Sean pump kicks him then step up enzugiri's him in the corner. Sean springboard 450's him for 2. King hits shots in the corner then straightjacket backcrackers him for 2. Sean backslides him for 2. They trade forearms.

King superkicks him then Sean hits a standing spanish fly. The Vanity Project jump Thatacher outside. Sean tope con hilos The Project. King jumping knees Sean as he tries to get in. King hits a coronation neckbreaker and wins.

Thoughts: It was a little better than King's usual matches but I still wouldn't say it was good. At least Sean didn't lose clean here.

In the back, Brinley Reece is down and holding her shoulder. We then end the show.

Overall thoughts: This was the first Evolve with no new debuts. It wasn't one of the better editions. The opener was more focused on the storyline than the match so it wasn't as good as it should have been. Edris Enofe and Troy Yearwood have popped up here. Kali vs Masyn was mostly a squash. Gal/Javi had an average match. The main was just so so as well. The show was also a bit unusual as at least 4 of the people on it are already fired. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as there was nothing you really needed to see here. Next week will have Lewis vs Carver though which should be a good one.
