Myles Borne and NQCC come out. Borne says he shocked the world and is now going to Battleground. He says he's used to not being the first or third pick. He says he has a disability. He says he's partially deaf and it affects his speech and the way he talks. He said he heard the fans going crazy for him when he won last week. He says he doesn't want to be just the deaf kid. He wants to be judged by his ability, not his disability. He says he's the underdog at Battleground but he's fighting for all the kids who are fighting their fights.

He says he hopes Oba is listening. He says he's not being given a shot, but he's ready to shock the world. He says he's maybe hard of hearing but he will hear "Myles Borne, NXT Champion".

Ethan Page comes out. He says enough of the sentimental crap and says he's worse than Ricky Saints. He says Borne won a battle royal on a fluke. He says Borne can't beat Oba. Page challenges Borne to put his title shot up. Dempsey tries to talk him into it. Borne stupidly agrees.

Ava comes out and says she doesn't know if this is the right move. She says she sees how confident he is and will allow it. She says Dempsey's match with Oba is right now.

Oba Femi vs Charlie Dempsey

Oba waistlock takedowns him. CD grabs a guillotine. Oba puts him on the apron and CD goes down to the floor. We go to PiP break and return. CD hits euro then headscissors takeovers him.

CD goes for a triangle then Oba back body drops him. CD works Oba's arm and bangs it over his shoulder and the top rope. Oba rams him into the corner and CD hits a kneelift. CD armbars him and Oba slams his way out.

CD germans him for 2. CD keylocks him. Oba picks him up and slams him to get out of it. They trade forearms. Oba euros him over a few times then overhead suplexes him.

Oba hits running corner euros then running euros him. Oba throws him then hits a pop-up powerbomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was just average. I don't think anyone really bought that CD was winning here and he mostly stuck to various submissions.  CD wasn't really over enough as a face either to make this work.

Karmen and Thea talk in the back. They then see Tatum Paxley throwing dolls and destroying her dollhouse. She rips Karmen and Thea and says she has lost everyone (likely referring to her friends Gigi and Shotzi getting fired). She she tells the girls that one of them will betray the other.

Ethan Page and Ricky Saints talk in the back. Ricky said he lives in Page's head but now he has to ruin Myles' moment. Page says he gets pleasure in it. Page says Saints can go back to playing second fiddle to him. 

Wes Lee vs Tony D'Angelo

Wes does an inset promo with his crew. He says it'll be the final nail in the coffin for Tony. He says it's time for The Highrise to ascend to the top of NXT.

Tony pushes him back off the lock up. Wes side headlocks him. Wes hits a step up enzugiri. Wes is caught off a springboard. Tony hits a flying forearm and hiptosses him in. Tony hits punches. Igwe trips Tony from outside. Tony talks trash to Wes and hiptosses him outside. Wes' buddies catch him. Tony crossbodies them all off the apron.

We go to PiP break and return. Wes grabs his hair and talks trash to him. He says the next don will be Stacks. Stacks grabs him and hits headbutts. Wes falls out to the floor then is sent into his buddies. Tony lariats Wes' buddies. Wes rolls up Tony in the ring then superkicks him. Tony belly to belly overhead suplexes him.

Tony hits punches then hits a belly to belly suplex. Tony release germans him. Tony powerslams him for 2. Wes rolls him and Wes gets speared while doing a cardiac kick.

Stacks gets on the tron. He's at Rizzo's safehouse. Tony is distracted then Wes cardiac kicks Tony to win.

Stacks says Tony told him to think like The Don and now he is. He says he will pay Rizzo a visit.

Thoughts: Wes did some good stirring of the pot here and getting under Tony's skin. That spear off the cardiac kick was a neat but kind of dangerous spot. Wes' crew was referred to as The Highrise here for the first time.

We get an OTM video with them walking around a parking lot. They talk trash as usual.

Stephanie Vaquer comes out to talk. She says Jordynne Grace became the #1 contender last week. She says she was at the top of TNA and now wants to be at the top of NXT. Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley of Fatal Influence come out.

Fallon says it must be nice to on top of the world and says everyone loves her. She says she's truly one of a kind but that's what will make her downfall that much sweeter. She says she was a double chance. Jacy says she can't relate and argues with fallon. She says Steph being champ won't last much longer. Jacy says this is their world.

Jordynne Grace comes out. She aasks why Jacy and Fallon are talking about the women's title. She says she's here to protect her title shot and the investment. Steph says she's not her investment. Jacy and Fallon argue. Jacy says they held the division down while they were not here and they deserve to be at the top of it. Jacy says SV madethe most of her chances and Grace didn't. SV says Grace will fail again.

Grace says she will be champ and Fatal Influence won't stop her. Jacy says it doesn't matter who wins, they will be ripe for the taking and Fatal Influence will do it.

NQCC talks in the back. Dempsey is hurting and out of it. Borne says he's not in shape to be at ringside. Borne says he got this tonight and says he will handle business. He tells Dempsey to go to medical.

The Undertaker, Bubba Ray Dudley, Tyra Mae Steele and ena Sterling talk in the back. Bubba says the girls earned the right to stand here and be in the finals of LFG. He says they earned the right to compete at MSG. He says only one gets the NXT contract. He says one will have a bullseye on their back.

Izzi Dame and Nikkita Lyons come in. They say good luck lasting in their locker room. Lash and Lola walk in. They say if they come for her spot, they will wish they are on another season of LFG. Taker says the winner has their work cut out for them.

Tony D is in the parking lot and makes the camera man get in the car with him. He says they are going to the safe house now.

Myles Borne's #1 Contendership on the line - Myles Borne vs Ethan Page

MB waistlock takedowns him and Page ropebreaks. Page side headlocks him. MB armdrags him into an armlock. Page hits punches and lariats him. Page hits elbows to the head. Page is suplexed.

MB hits shots then Page back elbows him. Page hits mounted shots then chinlocks him. MB backdrops him and Page chinlocks him again. MB hits punches on him then hits euros.  MB hits a corner splash. Page boots him out of the corner and is lariated over the top.

We go to PiP break and return. Page hits a superplex for 2. Page powerslams him. MB hits punches and lariats. MB hits a belly to belly. MB hits a corner splash then an olympic slam for 2.

Page tries to counter a dropkick with a codebreaker but it doesn't hit. MB hits a top rope flying forearm. MB tries to kip up but seems to hurt himself doing it. MB hits a nice dropkick then jack knifes him for the win.

Thoughts: I'm glad Borne won here as I thought he might not. Borne did fine here but it was an average match. Borne got "RKO" chants during this one.

Sean Legacy does a tweet video. He says he felt the NXT passion last week and says it's the same energy he brings to Evolve each week. He says he's not an NXT superstar. He says Je'Von Evans has been in his shoes and says if he wants to recreate some of the magic they had in the battle royale, let him know.

Je'Von Evans and Ashantee Adonis are in the back. Adonis says he's too big of a star to worry about indy guys. Evans makes a remark about him and the girls. Adonis says indy guys don't deserve his time. Evans says the indy scene has some dogs. He says he would smack Evan and Legacy. Ricky Saints comes in and says he wants to see that. He says the winner can see him after Battleground.

We see Tony D in the car. He goes to the Rizzo hidehout house. Stacks hits Tony with something in the knee as he comes out. Stacks says he studied him and knows every move he will make. He says he's desperate. Tony tries to fight back but is hit. Stacks says he humiliated him by choice. He says he will finish him at Battleground and put an end to The D'Angelo Family once and for all.

Tatum Paxley vs Thea Hail

They trade waistlocks. Thea punches her down and asks what she did to her. TP pushes her. Thea kicks her and then standing moonsaults her. Thea goes for the armbar.

Thea armdrags her. TP casadora lifts her and kicks her in the gut. TP hits forearms. Jaida Parker is watching in the back. TP hits a step up enzugiri. TP hits another one then Thea rolls her up for 2.

Thea hits punches. TP flipping legdrops her over the back of the neck for 2. Thea headbutts her. Thea codebreakers the arm. Thea hits punches and double axe handles her. Thea sliding lariats her.

TP botches a coconut crush then Thea kimura's her. TP ropebreaks. TP rolls her up for 2. Thea superkicks her. Thea hits a double underhook twisting drop then kimura's her. TP stares at her and sticks her finger in her eye and is DQ'd.

Thoughts: TP botched the finish here as she came nowhere close to the eye. Thea is not working a solo act and really needs to go back with Chase U. TP's new flipping legdrp was nice. It was just a match.

TP goes for the eye more after and pounds on her until officials break it up.

Jaida Parker talks to Zaria and Sol Ruca in the back. She says that's what Thea gets. Kelani Jordan walks in. Jaida says they are like Thea and she's not listening to them. Kelani asks why Zaria speared her through a barricade. Sol goes to apologize. Zaria says she doesn't need to. Zaria says she pinned Kelani and if they run it back, the results don't change. KJ says she wants a shot at Sol's title if she wins.

We have a contract signing in a room with Ava, Joe Hendry and Trick Williams. Trick says Joe took his opportunity and he will take his title. Trick says Joe should have stayed in TNA. He says Battleground is his house. Joe says if anyone should know about taking risks and breaking out, it's Trick. He says Trick forgot about it and is b!tching. Trick brings up Orton and says he gave him a 3-minute @ss whooping. Ava tells both to sign the contract.

Joe says TNA is the hottest it has been in years. He says he wants to make it the biggest brand it can be. He says he's putting TNA and NXT stars down. He says the TNA Title will be on the line in a WWE PLE. Trick says he knows as he will be in the match. Trick says the match will be historic because of him. Trick says every man has his 15 minutes of fame and says he will take Joe's fame, title and brand.

Joe says it's the most important match of Trick's career. He says there's no path for Trick to get the NXT Title back and says he will have no pathway to gold soon. He says he will see as fast as his star rose to the top, he can see it crash down. He says Trick will see his 15 minutes of fame expire. Joe signs the contract and leaves. 

Josh Briggs talks to Hank and Tank. Tank says they feel for him. Briggs says Inamura was his brother. Briggs says he wish he didn't push him away. Hanks says they got him. Shawn Spears comes in and says Briggs doesn't appreciate what he has until he's gone and says he means Brooks Jensen. Shawn says Briggs is a cancer to relationships. Briggs says he has a lot of his mind and knows how to clear his head.

Ava talks to Kale Dixon and Uriah Connors. Kale says Chase U is back. UC says they want to put Chase U back on the map. Ava says they can debut next week. Andre Chase walks in. The boys tell him about the news and are told they are facing OTM. Chase says, "Guys, what the f**k".

Joe Hendry will be in concert next week and Trick Williams will do a rap concert as well. We also have Kelani vs Zaria and Evans vs Legacy vs Adonis

Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne and Fallon Henley) vs Jorddyne Grace and Stephanie Vaquer

Jasmyn Nyx is not with Fatal Influence. She wasn't fired, so I don't know where she is.

JG shoulders over FH. JG backbreakers her then hits lariats to the chest and back.SV tags herself in and springboard crossbodies FH. SV tries to walk the ropes but is kicked while on the ropes. Jacy punches SV down and suplexes her for 2.

SV headscissors rolls her for 2. SV bridge pins her for 2.SV does a facelock on Jacy. Jacy superkicks SV. SV gets out of a double suplex. She then codebreakers + sentons the heels. SV goes for the tag but JG is pulled down. FH running boots SV.

Jacy cannonballs JG off the apron. FH 2nd rope plancha's her opponents outside. We go to PiP break and return. SV hits kicks on both opponents. Jacy lariats SV. Jacy pump kicks SV. Jacy boots SV in the gutSV superkicks Jacy's head into the buckles.

JG comes in and hits germans on the heels. She flurries FH and sends Jacy into her. JG spinebusters Jacy then rolling death valley drivers FH for 2. FH does a tornado suplex on JG for 2.

The four trade forearms. Jacy pump kicks SV and superkicks her. JG takes a double team for SV. JG blocks a double team. She hits a made in japan on Jacy after a uraken and wins.

Thoughts: It was okay. There was nothing wrong with it. This will probably further the slow burn between Fatal Influence. SV didn't get a ton of offense in and did none of her signature moves.

Ethan Page sends Ricky Saints into the rollaway door in the back. Ricky is down and holding his shoulder.

Overall thoughts: Like Raw this week, it wasn't a great show. None of the matches really stood out and there wasn't a lot of happenings outside of Stacks jumping Tony. Dark State didn't even appear. It was fine overall but nothing that would blow you away. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and wouldn't recommend it.
