Adam Page and Will Ospreay vs The Don Callis Family (Konosuke Takeshita and Josh Alexander)

KT wristlocks Will. Will side headlocks him and KT reverses it. Kt shoulders him over. Will kips up and forearms him. They sweep each other and stand off. Josh clubs on Will then Will flying headscissors him. Will boots him out of the corner and takes a flapjack.

Josh stands on Will on the bottom rope. KT forearms him in the back then Will flying headscissors him. Page tags in and springboard lariats Josh on the apron. Page fallaway slams KT and plancha's Josh. Page apron moonsaults Josh. Page death valley drivers KT and corner lariats him.

Page and KT trade forearms. Page pop-up powerbombs KT for 2. KT takes a double shoulderblock. Page hits a sliding lariat and Will hits a standing SSP for 2. KT is double teamed. Will is back body dropped to the floor and takes a bad looking landing. Josh crossbodies Page's back off the apron. KT then tope con hilos both opponents.

We go to PiP break and return. Josh northern lights suplexes Page. Josh and Page trade forearms. Josh ankle locks him. Will forearms Josh over twice. Will hits a handspring double backflip kick then standing corkscrew moonsaults Josh.

Will sets up KT for a move and Page lariats KT. Will and KT then do a moonsault and corkscrew moonsault off the top. Will springboard forearms Josh for 2. Will and Josh trade inside. Will is caught on a handspring and takes a standing spinning torture rack bomb for 2.

KT forearms Will and they botch a spot. KT brainbusters Will for 2. Josh release germans Page. KT release germans Will then Will takes double spinning forearms for 2. Will poisonrana's Josh and os cutters KT. He then os cutters Josh for 2.

Page tags himself in. Page and Will push each other. Will nearly hidden blades Page and Page stares at him. Page and Josh hit forearms. Josh takes a hook kick and Page and Will hit a combo buckshot lariat + hidden blade combo for the win.

Thoughts: The finish was cool and I liked some of the Page/Will double teams here. There wasn't a ton of selling but I did like this one. They had a fast paced match, they pushed the issues between Page and Will and it had lots of action.

KT jumping knees Page from behind after then pounds on Will.  Will back elbows Josh then dragon suplexes KT. Will then nails Page on accident. Page and Will argue.

Top Flight and Leila Grey are interviewed. Dante gets mad at MJF and says if he wants to stick his nose in their business, he will bite it clean off. Darius says they want Hurt Syndicate's tag titles and says it only takes 3 seconds to get new champs. Dustin Rhodes talks to them. He says people underestimating them is fuel and fire to prove them wrong.

Ricochet vs Zack Gowen

Will has the fake leg with him from last week. Ric teases him and Zack armdrags him off the lock-up. Zack crawls around the ring at him and Ric goes out. KT slingshot plancha's him. Zack rubs Ric's head and hits him. Ric drives Zack into the rails.

We go to PiP break and return. Ric is pulled over the top to the floor. Ric runs crotch first into the 2nd rope. Zack boots him out of the corner. Ric blocks Zack's tornado ddt.

Ric blows kisses at Zack's kids and hits a springboard 450. Ric hits a top rope ssp for 2. Ric hits a vertigo for 2. Ric grabs his scissors. The ref takes them. Zack hits Ric with the fake leg for 2. Zack misses a top rope moonsault and lands hard. Ric hits a spirit gun and wins.

Thoughts: They did a little too much here and Ric should not have had that much trouble against a one-legged guy. Additionally, some of the early stuff with Ric running out of the ring away from Zack was a little silly. I thought the vertigo and the fake leg shot should have ended things. They really could have gotten a lot more out of this program than they did.

Ric sliding lariats Zack from behind after. Ric then punts him in the head. Mark Briscoe makes the save after.

Renee interviews MJF. He says he was the AEW champ for 406 consecutive days. He says the landscape changed since he lost the title. He says the roster is stacked and he doesn't like to work hard. He says if he is part of The Hurt Syndicate, they will be unstoppable and him being a champ won't be a possibility, but an inevitability.

The Hurt Syndicate come in. MVP says it's imperative that MJF joins them in the ring after their match.

The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin) vs Top Flight (Dante and Darius Martin)

Darius hits a tornado ddt on SB off of Dante. Top Flight then hit dropkicks and Dante leg lariats Bobby off the apron off of Darius' back. Bobby catches Dante outside and Darius topes them over. Dante hits a frogsplash on SB for 2. Bobby sends Dante into the post.

SB overhead throws Darius. Bobby sends Darius into the rails and slams him on the apron. Bobby corner spears Darius then neckbreakers him. SB release germans Darius three times for 2. 

Darius back enzugiri's SB. Dante goes to springboard and takes a jumping knee from SB. SB step up knees Dante in the corner. Bobby hits a rolling spear on Dante. Bobby submits  Dante with the full nelson.

Thoughts: It was a one-sided match as expected here.

Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevarra come out. Dustin says to let Dante go. Dustin says to pick on someone his own size. MVP says he respects him and says his boys won't leave them laying in a pool of blood and asks what he wants. Dustin says they have titles around their waists and it's obvious what they want.

Cru come out with everyone still out there. Action says we have an old man and his buddy trying to be heroes. Action says it's time to get to stepping, gramps' and says Sammy needs to follow. Lio says they got some old business in the ring. Lio says they beat Top Flight too. Lio asks for a tag title shot out of respect for their past.

Dustin says they won't cut in line. He says Lio will learn respect for his elders. MVP interrupts. He says Dustin/Sammy and Cru should fight it out on Collision for a tag title shot at Double or Nothing. MVP says they have 30 seconds until break and says MJF will join them after.

Thoughts: This was random and they totally buried the ROH Tag Titles here. The Hurt's weren't interested in those at all when they could have gotten a match for them.

We return from break. MVP says it's time for MJF to get what's coming to him and tells him to get his @ss out here. MJF doesn't come out. MVP asks Shelton to help MJF find his way to the ring. Shelton runs to the back and runs into Tony Khan. MJF is hiding behind the gorilla position. Shelton brings MJF out with him and MJF looks scared.

MJF is in the ring with The Hurt Syndicate. MVP says it's his moment of reckoning. MVP gives the thumbs up and so does Shelton. Bobby puts his arm around MJF and grabs MJF's scarf. Bobby gives MJF a thumbs up. MJF then jumps on Bobby and hugs him and is pushed over.

MJF chants "we hurt people" and hugs Bobby. MVP says MJF will have his official contract signing with them next week.

Thoughts: Well, there we go. They kind of made MJF look like a total dork here. We'll see where things go. 

AEW Women's Title Eliminator - Toni Storm (c) vs AZM vs Skye Blue vs Mina Shirakawa

Here's another random one. Skye Blue's returning here so she needs to win this. Mina has new hip hop music and a new dance which isn't as good as her old theme.

The four pair off. Toni and Blue go out. Mina tries a pin on AZM Mina does her shimmy and they trade pin attempts. AZM is pulled out and Mina tornado ddt's her on the floor. Toni clubs on Blue. Blue flying headscissors her. Blue hits a step up knee on her on the ropes then tornado ddt's her.

Blue and AZM trade forearms. Both are then pulled out. Toni and Mina hit stereo thesz presses. They trade forearms. AZM chest kicks Mina down. Mina figure fours Toni's legs and ddt's AZM at the same time.

Mina spin kicks AZM in the gut. Mina walks up the buckles and dives on Toni outside. AZM PK's Mina from the apron and crossbodies Toni. Blue plancha's on everyone outside. 

We go to PiP break and return. The four trade forearms. AZM and Blue trade forearms. Toni and AZM hit stereo germans. Toni germans AZM then hits stereo hip attacks in the corners. Mina kicks Blue off the ropes. Toni dropkicks Blue and backdrops AZM. She then sky high's Blue.

Mina spinning high kicks BLue in the face then Blue superkicks her. Blue htis a bad code blue on Mina then superkicks AZM. AZM high kicks Mina then canadian destroyers her for 2. Toni hits a storm zero on AZM for 2. Toni ducks a uraken and Mina cradles Toni to win.

Thoughts: It was random and not that good. There were a lot of sloppy moments here. I have no idea why they brought Skye Blue back just to lose here. That made no sense. I also have no idea why they needed AZM for this. 

AZM heads to the back and Mercedes Mone nails her then crossfaces her for some reason.

Jamie Hayter then breaks it up and crossfaces Mone. Security then breaks it up.

We get a package on Sabu who passed away this week. Taz says Sabu was a machine and he brought the best out of him. He says he will miss him and he loves him.

MJF and MVP are interviewed in the back. MJF says he feels like he won the lottery. He says he will have his lawyer Mark Sterling go over the contract. MVP is surprised by this. Mark comes in and MVP won't shake his hand. MVP asks what this lawyer thing is. MJF says you always have a lawyer look over things when you a sign a deal and MVP goes along with it.

Tony Schiavone interviews Nigel McGuinness in the ring. Nigel says he did what he told Tony not to do - get in the ring when you are an announcer. He apologizes to Daniel Garcia and asks him to come out.

Nigel apologizes and says his place is at the commentary table. DG says Nigel did what he was supposed to do. He says FTR tried to end his career and will try to end Nigel's career too. DG says he will fight them with or without Nigel. He says it would be an honor for Nigel to stand by his side and fight them with him.

Stokeley Hathaway comes out. He calls them disappointments. He asks Nigel what his problem is. Nigel says when people put his hands on him, he puts his hands on them. He says he's sorry. Stoke says the apology does nothing for him. He says when you do something bad, there's consequences. Stoke says his punishment was decided to be getting in the ring with FTR in a match.

Nigel says FTR are killers and he doesn't want to wrestle them. DG says FTR might kill them but he has seen Nigel overcome the odds his entire career. DG says Nigel should team with him against FTR.

Stoke says Nigel barely beat hepatitis. FTR then nail DG and Nigel from behind. Nigel gets dropped with a punch. Matt Menard comes out to help with a crowbar. The heels run off.

AEW Title - Cage Match - Jon Moxley (c) vs Samoa Joe

Mox backs him up in the corner. Joe boots and chops him. They trade forearms. Mox is sent into the cage. Joe spears him into the cage. Joe hits headbutts and facewash kicks. Joe kicks his back and elbow drops him for 2.

Mox clips Joe then figure fours him. They trade forearms. Mox facekicks him. We go to PiP break and return. They trade forearms and Mox is bloodied. The Death Riders and The Ops are at ringside. Joe headbutts Mox and Mox eye rakes him. Joe atomic drops him then facekicks him. Joe hits a senton for 2.

Joe powerbombs him for 2 then does an STF. Mox bites Joe's face then lariats him. Mox hits slaps and forearms. Joe facekicks him and Mox cutters him. Mox armbars him. Mox bulldog chokes him. Mox hits a double underhook ddt for 2. Joe puts him in the choke. Claudio tries to climb the cage but is knocked down onto Willow and Shafir. Yuta tries to climb the cage and Hobbs uranages him through a table.

Someone in a hood comes down, who is later revealed to be Gabe Kidd, gives Mox his title briefcase. Mox hits Joe with it and wins.

Thoughts: This finish was random here with Gabe Kidd interfering for no real reason. I wasn't a big fan of the match. Mox bled of course. Mox targeted the leg for a little then forgot about it. It was a slower paced match as well.

Hobbs goes after Gabe, Claudio chairs Hobbs then Gabe low blows Hobbs. Hobbs is thrown into the side of the ring. Willow is sent into the rails.

The Young Bucks come down. Kenny Omega then comes down and attacks Claudio and Yuta. Okada hits Kenny in the gut when he comes down. The Bucks bring the cage back down. Kenny and Joe are beaten up in the cage. Swerve comes into the cage and jumps off of it onto everyone. The Bucks raise the cage and leave.

Swerve says his brains were beat in with a chair and a cinderblock last time he was here. He said he's the most dangerous man in AEW. Swerve says we wants to cause anarchy and asks for Anarchy in the Arena.

Overall thoughts: It was a more star studded show than usual. I liked the opener. Ric/Zach was just average for the most part. The Hurt Syndicate won a squash then accepted MJF into their group. We had a random 4-way women's title eliminator which Mina won and Skye Blue lost (in her return). We also got a segment with FTR/Nigel/Garcia which will likely lead to Nigel's return. We then had the cage match which was average and had a weird ending with Gabe Kidd of all people coming out to help Mox. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as they did try here and it was one of the easier episodes of Dynamite to watch but it was not without its flaws. I don't think you need to see this though.
