Reality of Wrestling: GLORY 4/30/2025 Episode 2

Swipe Right of Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes talk. Smokes says it's the first time they will team up here in Texas. Brad says everything is bigger in Texas, not including the girls. He says they are the best tag team in WWE ID and asks what will be any different when they are in WWE ID? 

Maya World vs Mia Friday

Maya kicks Mia's handshake away. Maya side headlocks her then shoulders her over. Maya headflips over her. Mia rolls her up for 2. Mia uses the ropes and springboard armdrags her. Mia hits jawbreakers and neckbreakers her for 2.

Maya rolling death valley drivers her and forearms her for 2. Maya stomp flurries her in the corner. Maya suplexes her for 2.

Maya STO's her then misses a senton. Mia hits spinning facebusters then pumping knees her. Maya bridges out of a lariat then hits a cutter for 2. Maya tries to sunset flip her but Mia blocks it and pins her.

Thoughts: Mia was a good face here. It was acceptable overall and made sense. This was apparently Mia's return after being gone for a while. 

Jacy Jayne and Gigi Rey do a sitdown interview. Gigi says she's the best female competitor here and has been for a while. She says she will show Jacy she belongs at her level. Jacy isn't impressed. She asks if Gigi is up for the challenge against her? She says she's on a higher level, has more fans and is a multi-time champ. She says Gigi has potential but asks if she can get the job done? She says she doesn't think so.

Gigi says she's the most successful international prospect here. She says she's been the only girl to hold the Diamond's Title and the Tag Title. She says Booker told her she's the future of wrestling and says Jacy will find out next week.

Jacy says she's a 2x NXT Women's Tag champ. She says she's been on more episodes of NXT than any other female. She says she's been at the top for 4 years. She says she loves her confidence. She says she wants her to come into the match thinking that.

Gigi agrees but says Jacy is wrestling her home. She says she will be d@mned if she comes into her house and thinks she's better than her. She says she's the heart and soul of ROW and says Jacy better bring everything she has. She says she will put everything on the line to beat her.

Jacy says she's on the Jacy Jayne World Tour 2025. She says she can do it all and do it better than her.

WWE ID Match - Swipe Right (Brad Baylor and Ricky Smokes) vs Marcus Mathers and Aaron Rourke

AR = Aaron Rourke, MM = Marcus Mathers

AR spanks himself towards Smokes. They lock up and AR grabs his hair. Smokes eye rakes him and forearms him. AR chops him then spanks him. MM wristlocks Smokes. Smokes trips him. Brad gets in and side headlocks MM. He shoulders him over. MM rolls him up for 2 then armdrags and armlocks him.

Brad pulls his hair and knees him in the gut. MM dropkicks him then kips back up. MM slams him. MM goes to jump off the buckles but Smokes trips him. MM takes a backdrop + neckbreaker combo for 2. Smokes stomps MM in the corner. Brad corner spears MM then throws MM into a Smokes facekick for 2. Brad suplexes him. They trade chops and Brad forearms him down. Smokes footchokes MM in the corner then Brad chokes MM in the corner.

MM blue thunders Smokes. MM top rope twisting crossbodies Brad. AR gets tagged in. He lariats and leg lariats Brad. AR goes up and over then dropkicks him. AR hits a corner euro then corner hip attacks him for 2. AR split legged moonsaults him for 2. Brad rolls up AR for 2. AR takes the super swipe and is pinned.

Thoughts: I liked it. The heels got their offense in and the faces made their comeback before being put down. MM also got stopped from doing too much here which also helped this.

Swipe Right then get in the face of Fly Def.

Clay Roberts does a promo. He says he's been bearing the cross of ROW and says the cross has been getting heavy. He says he's got friends who want to retire and trainees who are waiting for the opportunity. He says they might have closed their door by opening up the door for someone else who couldn't find the address. He says he's got Freedom Ramsey. He says there's jealousy about WWE ID. He says he doesn't want what Freedom has but says it's stupid that he's facing someone who's made a personality over a phone number not being changed. He says Freedom wants to be ID'd, but he has no identity here. He says this is his house. He says it's not a showcase but he's making his case. He says the spotlight will form a target for him. He says it's fitting that this is called Glory as he will take Freedom's and find his.

Thoughts: It was a clever and good promo here. Clay did a nice job with this.

Wes Lee vs Eli Knight

They lock up. Wes bangs Eli's arm over his shoulder. Eli rolls and headflips out of the wristlock. Eli bangs Wes' arm off his shoulder then wristlocks him. Wes uses the ropes to flip out of it. Wes armdrags him and they stare down.

Wes side headlocks him. Eli side headlocks him. Eli forward rolls out of a dropkick to the knee. Eli gets a 2 count on Wes. Eli ducks a lariat then is headbutted in the gut. 

Wes hits corner spears. Eli goes up and over then hits a dropkick. Wes offers a handshake. Eli isn't sure. Eli shakes his hand then Wes pulls him in and hits a hard forearm. Wes stomps on Eli. Eli's head is banged off the buckles.

Eli superkicks Wes from the 2nd rope then Wes 619's his legs, making his face bounce off the top buckle. Wes basement dropkicks him out. Wes then slingshot double stomps his back outside.

Wes hits kicks on Eli then axe kicks him. Wes then does a spinarooni to get up. Eli hits a nice enzugiri. Eli goes to springboard, Wes knocks him over. Wes hits shots to the ribs for 2. Wes does a grounded cobra twist on him.

Wes misses a cardiac kick. Eli hits a big lariat. Eli plants off the top rope and moonsaults him for 2. Eli slams him. Eli hits a poisonrana. Eli goes up top and Erik Lockhart is on the tron. Erik says Eli's ribs seem to be healed up and says while he's wrestling, someone in Eli's family got sick again. We then see Erik is at the ER. He says he will keep an eye on his family and make sure everything goes smoothly.

Wes hits enzugiri's on Eli and reverse slams him. Wes hits a cardiac kick and pins him. 

Thoughts: They worked it pretty well here with Eli going for the upset and not losing anything over the loss as he got distracted. I would have liked a totally clean ending, but at least it will lead somewhere. Eli did not look like he was any lesser than Wes here and stepped up in his big match.

Wes wipes his sweat on a kid's hand as he leaves in a funny spot.

Overall thoughts: It was the usual solid ROW episode here. Mia Friday had a good showing in her match. They hyped up next week's Gigi Rey vs Jacy Jayne match. Swipe Right had a good tag bout with Mathers and Rourke. We got a good Clay Roberts promo. The main was solid with Eli stepping up against Wes and looking on his level. I'd give it a 7 out of 10 as they did pretty much everything right here and I enjoyed the show.
