WOW Women of Wrestling 5/17/2025 Season 5, Episode 36

Samantha Smart and The Classmaster come out. Sam says she will take the crowd's boos as cheers. She says their IQ is so inferior that their cheers would be an insult. Sam tells them to boo away. Sam asks the WOW locker room to try harder as none of them have the skill, size, intellect or audacity to challenge them.

The Alliance comes out. Adriana Gambino tells Sam to shut up. She says Classmaster has never pinned any of her girls. Reina del Rey says let me at her. Sam tells her to come on. David McLane asks if she wants to make the match and Sam agrees.

Reina del Rey vs The Classmaster

They lock up and battle over the lock-up. They roll on the ropes and push each other in the corner.  They shoulder battle. Class snapmares her and kicks her in the back. Class legdrops Rey's inner thighs then does the scholar collar. Rey bites Class' hand to escape. Rey ties up Class in the ropes and chops and lariats her.

Rey corner splashes Class then corner meteora's her. Class tries to lift up Rey but can't. They each hit shots on each other in the corner. Rey 2nd rope superplexes Class and Class takes a dangerous looking landing. Class hits a forearm. BK Rhythm and Gigi Gianni get involved. Rey nails BK with the chain Gigi gave her on accident. Class then facekicks Rey and pins her.

Thoughts: I think I saw most of the match but it's hard to know since this was joined in progress. Class' superplex bump looked really scary here. They kind of botched a spot where Class couldn't lift Rey, but they covered it well enough that you couldn't even notice. It was just average but I thought they had the right idea. 

Gloria Glitter vs Sugar

GG boots her in the chest to start. GG hits corner attacks. Sugar rolls her up for 2. Sugar trips her and la magistrls her for 2. Sugar walks up the buckles and armdrags her. Sugar flying headscissors her. GG knees her in the gut then full-nelson's her.

GG full nelson drops her then does the stair stepper on her back. GG hits knees to the gut. Sugar sunset flips her for 2. Sugar crucifixes her for 2. Sugar rolls her up for 2. GG hits a gori bomb and wins.

Thoughts: It was short and not much of note. There was nothing wrong with it though. GG won here as expected as she's higher up on the totem pole.

Top Tier stomp on Sugar after. Kara Kai and Xena Phoenix then come out to save Sugar.

Kara gets on the mic after. She says they are done with Top Tier. She says this is not going to keep happening. She says this isn't about the titles but principles. Xena says if they were real champs, they'd face them fair and square. David McLane says a match between the two teams for the trios titles are set.

Chainsaw, Daisy Lane and Fury vs Roxxy Fierce, Holidead and Chantilly Chella

Holi and Daisy go at it. Holi pushes her over. Dasiy gets on her back and Holi throws her over. Holi catches her 2nd rope dive and fallaway slams her. Holi neckbreakers Fury then Chella meteora's Fury. Fury htis spears to the gut. Chella goes up and over and hits leg kicks. Chella 2nd rope twisting crossbodies her for 2.

Fury is swept then Rox butt drops Fury's back. Fury takes snake eyes and a corner splash. Fury hits a corner hip attack on Rox. Rox is held in the corner for a splash and a hip attack from Fury. Chain pulls Fury off the ropes for 2. Chain foot chokes Rox then Daisy elbow drops Rox. Daisy totally misses on a dropkick she was supposed to miss. Holi gets in and backbreakers Dasiy. Holi hits a corner attack on Chain and Daisy then spinebusters Chain. Holi samoan drops Daisy. Holi  then lifts Chella for a senton on Daisy.

Chella goes for a springboard and is chopped by Fury. Chain then swings Daisy down on Chella Daisy pins her.

Thoughts: It was standard and it wasn't bad. Fury had a better showing than usual The heels winning was the better outcome on this one since Chain and Daisy are getting pushed. It wouldn't be bad if Fury stuck around with them as it would give her something to do.

Sibley Scoles is backstage. She says its Paola Mayfield vs Santana Garrett tonight.

Miami's Sweet Heat argues in the back. Lana tries to stop them and says they need to fight. Holly of course pushes it and the match is official.

Winner gets a title shot - Paola Mayfield vs Santana Garrett

They lock up twice. SG armdrags and armlocks her. SG crossbodies her for 2. PM goes out to stall and she punches SG from the apron. PM bangs SG's head off the apron. PM hits corner punches. PM hits a flying forearm then kicks her in the back. PM low crossbodies her for 2.

PM pulls SG's arms back. SG throws her over by the arms. They trade forearms. SG headbutts her down. They do a horrible double kick spot on each other and both go down. SG knocks her down twice then does a handspring back elbow. SG headflips and hits a forearm.

PM sits up top and blocks SG's handstand headscissors. PM tries a splash off the 2nd rope but SG moves. SG does a handspring but Abilene Maverick pulls SG's arms down. PM hits a mcgillicutter on SG and wins.

Thoughts: The first half of this went okay but neither of these two are that good and the second half was lousy. These two are not a good match on paper and it was bad as expected. SG should be so much better with how long she's been wrestling but she's just not that good.

Overall thoughts: The first three matches were all average but acceptable enough for WOW standards. The main wasn't good as expected. I think they've done a decent job of keeping up the Kara Kai feud with Top Tier despite all the injuries and they are doing well with the issues between The Fab Four. It was an okay show overall but not must see. I'd give it a 5 out of 10.
