Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/tna-impact-5222025.html
We are in Irvine, CA. We get a graphic for Sabu, who passed away this week.
Nikkita Lyons and Masha Slamovich vs Tessa Blanchard and Victoria Crawford
Tess puches NL from behind then NL hits kicks on her. NL splits on the bottom rope and does like a reverse bronco buster. VC comes in and hits a big show on MS. MS then lariats her. MS snapmares her several times and kicks her in the back. MS PK's her for 2. VC is sent into the post then Tess slingshot elbow drops MS for 2.
VC gets a 2 count on MS then northern lights suplexes her for 2. MS step up enzugiri's VC. MS goes for the tag but Tess takes out NL. MS short arm lariats VC several times for 2. NL throws Tess out. Tess slides a chair in. MS hits VC and Tess with it in front of the ref and is DQ'd.
Thoughts: It was average and not much of note. Masha was dumb for getting DQ'd right in front of the ref.
NL and MS argue about what happened. Santino Marella comes out. He says the people deserve a proper finish and says this is gonna restart. Robert Stone comes out and says the decision stands.
We see a sitdown interview with Cody Deaner. He's excited about wrestling in his hometown at the PLE. He says his kids love what he does and he couldn't do what he does without his wife. Cody says wrestling is about relationships you make with fans and wrestlers behind the scenes. He says he does a lot of work with kids and encourages them to dream big.
He says everyone puts Eddie Edwards on a pedestal and if he can beat him, everyone will look at him different. He says he will prove he is his families hero. He says he can't handle telling his family he lost.
The Great Hands come out to talk with Tasha Steelz. John says he holds the fans responsible for Ali's downward spiral. He says the fans rejected them but cheer for The Rascalz. He says the fans are degenerates like The Rascalz. He says they wanted to make the place better but will now tear it down to the ground with these great hands.
The Great Hands (John Skyler and Jason Hotch) vs The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz and Trey Miguel)
Trey hits punches on John then dropkicks him. Trey then topes him outside. John takes kicks from both opponents and a double stomp on the back. Jason takes an atomic drop then a baseball slide. Trey step up enzugiri's Wentz then is sent out when John pulls the ropes down on him. John spears Trey on the apron. Trey's crotch is stood on in the corner. Trey slingblade backbreakers Jason. Wentz hits back elbows on Jason then germans him.
Wentz rolls him into a running knee. Wentz then running ssp's him for 2. The Rascalz hit stereo superkicks and Wentz is thrown into a dropkick on Jason. Trey spinebusters Jason. Mustafa Ali comes out, Wentz is distracted and knocked off the ropes. Trey takes a 2nd rope blockbuster + samoan drop combo and is pinned.
Thoughts: It was a shorter one. What we got was fine here and they kept things moving.
Ali beats up Trey after. Ace Austin comes out and makes the save.
We see clips from the break. Ace finds Ali then gets nailed from the side by The Great Hands. Ali then hits Ace in the knee with a pipe.
#1 Contender's International Title - Matt Cardona vs Mance Warner vs Ace Austin vs Elijah
The four fight to start. Ace trips and kicks Mance then basement dropkicks him. Eli flying lariats Matt. Eli jumps off the top and hits Mance. Matt is back body dropped over the top. We go to break and return. Matt chokes ace with a shirt. Ace back elbows him. Ace rolls him up for 2. Mance clips Ace. Matt is sent into the post. Mance hits punches on Ace's knee. Mance bites Ace's head and pulls his mouth. We get a tower of doom spot. Matt comes off the buckle and runs into Eli's jumping knee. Mance lariats Ace.
Mance chairs his opponents in the gut. Mance jumps off a chair and ddt's Ace. Eli jumping knees Mance. Eli tombstones Mance on a chair for 2. Eli suplexes Matt for 2.
Ace high kicks Eli then Matt rolls up Ace for 2. Matt hits radio silence on Ace and wins.
Thoughts: It was your usual 4-way with lots of action going on and it being hard for anyone to really get anything going. They did what they could with it and it was okay.
Tessa talks to Arianna Grace in the back. She brings up Santino not being able to restart the match. She says when Santino is out the door, Grace will go with him. Grace says she loves talking down to people and is sick of it then Tessa slaps her, knocking her down.
First Class Penthouse
AJ says they are finally at a city that they like. AJ and KC talk about their favorite celebs in LA. They then make fun of The Lakers for getting eliminated from the playoffs.
O'Shea Jackson is their guest. He doesn't look thrilled to be here. Shea asks him about ripping the fans and says they can't talk about LA in LA especially in front of him. AJ says this is his show and he will act as he wants. Shea says AJ thinks he's Suge Knight but looks like a broke Uncle Phil. AJ says he should treat him like Jazz and throw him out.
Mike Santana comes out through the stands. First Class backs off as he comes up to the stage. Mike then poses with Shea.
Indi Hartwell vs Kelsey Heather
Indi offers a hanshake and Kel piefaces her. Kel side headlocks her and Indi shoulders her over. Indi side slams her. Kel pulls her hair then gets on her back for a sleeper. Kel is thrown off. Indi blocks an armdrag. Indi spinebusters her.
Indi misses a corner charge. Indi facekicks her while she's over the 2nd rope. Indi hits a full-nelson twisting drop and wins.
Thoughts: It was short and not very impressive. Indi won as expected. Indi was not that great in WWE and isn't super athletic so I don't expect that much out of her in TNA.
Indi is in the back. She says it's a long time coming for her to get her first win here. Tasha Steelz and The Great Hands interrupt. Tasha says Ali was escorted out of the building. Indi says Tasha is being rude and taking her camera time. Tasha says she has news about someone who is more important than her. Indi asks if The Great Hands can get her out of here. Tasha says she will see her later and walks off.
Rosemary vs Xia Brookside
Rose does an inset promo. She says Xia snatched victory from her grasp last week and says she will either embrace what she fears or lose everything.
Rose slides out as it is about to start and avoids Xia. Xia gets some offense in and boots her out of the corner. Xia headscissors her out of the corner then dropkicks her. Xia is on the buckles and takes a suplex. Rose chokes her on the ropes. Rose grabs brass knucks, armbars Xia and tries to get her to use the knucks. Xia won't use them.
Xia is grabbed then slaps her. Xia hits running lariats then flying headscissors her. Xia hits a corner meteora and ddt's her for 2. Rose grabs the knucks and Xia blocks a shot with them. Xia takes them then headbutts Rose. Xia grabs the knucks and Rose tries to get her to hit her with them. Rose eye pokes Xia. Rose spits mist as she gets hit in the throat by Xia. Xia puts a hold on her on the ropes and pushes the ref away when she breaks it. Xia is DQ'd and pounds on Rose. Rose then fights back.
Lei Ying Lee then comes out to help Xia.
Thoughts: This was a weird one but I guess they were effective in telling the story they wanted to tell. It didn't make for a super exciting match though.
TNA Injury Report
Maclin has a minor skull fracture and an extreme loss of blood from the dog collar match with Eric Young last week.
Arianna Grace tells Santino she wants Tessa at Under Siege. Santino doesn't like it but Robert Stone comes in and says he will make it happen. Santino says she's dangerous. Grace says she doesn't care and wants this match.
Frankie Kazarian comes out to talk. He says it's great to be back in his home state. He says he sees nothing but a bunch of traitors though. He says they'd rather cheer for a clown like Joe Hendry instead of him. He says he wasn't pinned at the PPV and should be TNA champ.
He says the only person he hates more than Joe Hendry is Joe's fans. He brings out Trick Williams. Trick says him and Kaz don't like each other but they are here to be respected, not liked. Trick says if they wanted to be liked, that would make them like Joe Hendry.
Joe Hendry comes out. Kaz challenges him to fight him and Trick for the title right now. Elijah comes out. Eli and Joe get in the ring and Kaz and Trick get out.
Santino Marella comes out. He says this match was scheduled for Under Siege, but they should do it tonight. Robert Stone comes out and takes Santino's mic. He says they aren't doing this tonight. He says the last place they would do that match is in a junkyard like Irvine, CA. He says he will have suitable replacements for Joe and Elijah next week.
Nic Nemeth vs Jeff Hardy
Nic has Ryan Nemeth with him and Jeff has Matt Hardy with him. Jeff hits him in the gut and low dropkicks him in the back. Ryan trips Jeff from the outside and Nic hits a jumping ddt for 2. Nic is back body dropped to the outside. Jeff then dives on the brothers with a double lariat off the apron.
We go to break and return. Jeff back elbows him and boots him out of the corner. Nic misses a corner spear and goes into the post. Jeff atomic drops Nic then legdrops him in the crotch. Jeff hits a basemnet dropkick then an elbow drop for 2. Jeff hits whisper in the wind on him for 2.
Nic does a grounded sleeper to Jeff. Jeff jawbreakers him. Jeff goes shoulder first into the post then Nic hits a fameasser for 2. Jeff hits a twist of fate on Nic. Jeff tries a swanton but Nic gets his knees up and Nic gets a 2 count on him.
Jeff russian legsweeps Nic and gets a 2 count on him but leg dropping his legs. Nic superkicks him for 2. Jeff hits a twist of fate. Jeff then hits a top rope swanton for the win.
Thoughts: I was surprised to see Jeff win this one. It was fine but not really the best it could have been. They didn't have the time and they weren't going to do a classic on TV sadly.
Ryan hits The Hardy's after. Matt fights with Ryan and Leon Slater comes to the save.
Overall thoughts: It was the usual so-so TNA show. A lot of names weren't wrestling here as often is the case. We had a lot of WWE wrestlers involved in the show. The main was the best thing on here but it wasn't anyone's best work. They also did try to have a decent 4-way but it had the usual limitations that 4-ways tend to have. We also had loads of Santino and Robert Stone on this one. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 and I wouldn't recommend it
