WOW Women of Wrestling 1/20/2024 Season 4, Episode 19

The Beast vs Tormenta is tonight. 

The Tonga Twins come out to talk. They said there will be a fatal four way to determine their next challengers for the WOW Tag Titles. Kaoz says they will beat anybody, no matter who. They say they will be watching.

Trios Tournament - EXILE (Genesis, Exodus and Ice Cold) vs The Mighty Mights (Sugar and Spice) and Stephy Slays

 

Spice is in red, Sugar is in yellow. Gen and Stephy go at it. Stephy takes her down and side headlocks her. Gen is double tripped into a double pump kick. Ice boots Sugar in the gut then Sugar rolls her up. Sugar jumping snapmares her then crossbodies her while she is seated. 

They say the trios tournament is not a traditional tournament with brackets. They said it is free flowing. Sugar spinning headscissors Ice. Spice and Ex get in. Spice spinebusters her and Sugar cartwheel splashes her. Spice hits knee lifts then pulls her down backwards (the jalapeno popper). Ex knees her on the ropes and hits boots in the corner. Ex does a reverse ddt/elbow slice.

Ice is lifted onto a splash on Spice. Ice step up knees Spice then pendulum double knees her. Spice hits shots to the gut and a forearm. Ex flipping neckbreakers Spice then Gen leglocks Spice ofr 2. Ice is thrown out by Stephy and Ex is thrown out too. Sugar crossbodies all 3 opponents off the apron, gets caught then Spice topes them to knock the heels down.

Stephy hits a flying double chop then monkey flips her. Spice back elbows Ex in the corner. Ex slams her and Ice jump off of Ex's knee with an elbow on Spice. Gen breaks up Ice's pin and takes the pin herself.

It wasn't bad. Obviously, the work wasn't fantastic but it was well timed and it made sense. 

 

Gen gets on the mic after. She says despite what anyone says, they have proven once again that they are the strongest team in WOW. David McClane asks why she took the pin. Gen says sometimes a leader needs to emerge from the pack. She said she did what was necessary and said she deserved this.

Gen says they are the trios tournament and ask for the next contender, someone stronger. Gen says she's ready and then Ice Cold grabs the mic and says, "we're ready".

BK Rhythm and Gigi Gianni run into a wrestler named Lil J-Boogie. BK tears her down with a rap, saying she's a rookie and crumbles like a cookie. Lil J then raps back at her. She then tells her she bets can't do this and then she dances. She then leaves.

Penelope Pink vs Kandi Krush

 
Pink takes her down and walks over her back. Kandi rolls her up. Pink hits an elbow to the gut, snapmares her then rolls her up again. Kandi arm throws her down then is hit in the back. Kandi hits corner forearms then a corner lariat. Kandi tries to go up and over with a headscissors but is dropped down.

Kandi double boots her out of the corner then Pink spinning forearms and knees her. Pink chinlocks her then slams her. Pink misses a cartwheel splash then Kandi spinning facebusters her. Pink blocks a monkey flip then Kandi euros her. Kandi sliding euros her against the bottom rope for 2.

Pink misses a kick and is rolled up. Pink kicks her in the back then hits a standing stroke. 

Pink runs at her backwards and ddt's her. Pink back elbows her. Pink half-nelson's her then spins her into a knee. They call this the "Pink Exchange". Pink the picks up the win.

Penelope had some creative offense here and they really pushed that she just got back from being sick.

Penelope Pink gets on the mic after. She mocks all the girls in the back who thinks they are wrestlers. She said she's not just a star and no ordinary superhero. She said she eats, breathes and sleeps this business because she is the WOW factor. 

Princess Aussie tells Kandi Krush she has been absent lately. She said she watched her match and wrote down some notes. Kandi said she knows the match didn't go well and already knows. Aussie says that's how she improves. Kandi said she wanted notes when she was on a winning streak but Aussie couldn't make time during her busy schedule. Kandi then leaves.

Tormenta vs The Beast

Beast runs at her and takes her down. Tor then flying neckbreakers her and hits mounted punches. Beast powerslams her. Beast misses a corner charge and takes a step up enzugiri. Beast sends her over the top and running knees her on the apron. Beast then slingshots and bangs her head off the apron. Tor is sent into the post and forearms her outside. Beast boots her in the chest and swings her into the rails, barely hitting it.

They go back in. Tor boots her out of the corner. Tor jumps off the top and Beast catches her on the way down with a powerbomb. Beast wins.

It was a short but good heavyweight style match. The two went at it each other and showed some anger here and just generally wanted at each other. I liked the finish here as we don't usually such moves. The two matched up well.

Beast does a promo after. She said she came back to WOW to get her title back that she never lost. She said she won't stop until the WOW title is where it belongs. She says she will remind Abilene Maverick that she is the biggest, the baddest and The Beast. This was a short but good promo. 

Abilene Maverick says she is the governor's daughter and world champ. She says she has a serious announcement - then laughs and says she doesn't. She said everything has come easy in her life. She said she made her way over to Vegas and saw something around her waist was missing. She said she started watching WOW and said the roster was also missing a spark. She said she called up David McClane and said his champs are mid. She said she knew she could give everyone what they wanted and is the rightful champ. She talked about beating Beast, Penelope Pink and says she is coming for Princess Aussie. She said she will prove why she id the VIP, baby.

#1 Contenders Match - Las Bandidas (Vivian Rivera and Sylvia Snachez)  vs The Mother Truckers (Big Rig Betty and Holly Swag) vs Miami's Sweet Heat (Lindsey and Laurie Carlson) vs The Last Call (Reina del Rey and Wrecking Ball)

 

All 8 girls push each other before it starts and Dave McClane says the managers can't be at ringside. The Tonga Twins are on commentary. Holly comes off the top and dives on 3 opponents at once. Wrecking Ball and Reina Del Ray trip and kick Holly.

Holly chinbreakers Reina then jumps off Betty's back with an elbow. Holly takes a sliding lariat from Vivian then Sylvia sentons her. Sylvia takes a high/low from Miami Sweet Heat. Laurie gets beaten up by the Truckers then Holly takes a wild bump over the top.

Vivian spinning neckbreakers Laurie then Sylvia misses a 2nd rope senton on Laurie though it is sold. Holly tries to shoulder Ball but just gets knocked over. The Truckers take suplexes from The Last Call. Reina is pulled out then The Heat hit dropkicks through the ropes.

Everony fights outside in a wild brawl and Sylvia is thrown into the post. The Truckers push The Last Call and 3 of them get thrown down. The Truckers hit stereo boots and stunners. The Truckers go for the pin but the ref is not watching. Vickie Lynn McCoy and Penelope Pink run in and hit The Truckers with beer bottles. The Heat break up a pin and Las Bandidas are tossed out. The Heat then pin up the pin instead of them.

It was a fun 4 way. It was just total chaos from start to finish. It didn't go too long and we got to see the various teams square off against each other some.

Overall thoughts: The opener was well done. The semi-main between Beast and Tormenta was a short but good heavyweight match and the main event was a wild 4-way. I thought it was a good show.
