NJPW World Television Title Match - Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs. Ryusuke Taguchi
RT switches hands when Tana tries to knuckle lock with him. Tana side steps him and makes him run the ropes. RT misses a lariat and is rolled up for 2. Tana euros him down and hits a hip attack. RT rolls into hip attack on him then triangle plancha's him outside.
RT suplexes Tana then Tana twists and shouts him. RT holds on and takes a twist and shout then suplexes him. RT sliding hip attacks him then his pants get pulled down. RT ankle locks him then ends up sitting on his face with his underwear exposed.
Tana backrolls him with a bridge then RT rolls him up for 2. RT then pulls down Tana's pants showing his butt and Tana pins him.
This would have been fine if not for people getting their pants pulled down. It was mostly comedy but it was believable and both guys tried to make it work.
Kaito Kiyomiya & Ryohei Oiwa vs. Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI)
Oiwa and Yoshi trade wristlocks. Yoshi side headlocks him and Oiwa shoulders him over. Yoshi takes a double armdrag and double dropkick. Oiwa is double shouldered over then Goto hiptosses Yoshi onto him. Kaito then gets the double back clubs.
Yoshi and Oiwa go at it with chops. Goto stomps and chinlocks Oiwa. Goto forearms Oiwa and Oiwa suplexes him. Kaito gets the hot tag in and hits dropkicks. Kaito flying neckbreakers Goto then Goto lariats him off the ropes. Oiwa shoulders over Goto.
Kaito hits corner forearms on Goto then Kaito is knocked off the top. Goto spinning heel kicks Oiwa then backdrops him for 2. Goto takes a double dropkick then Yoshi superkicks Oiwa. Goto ushigoroshi's Oiwa on his knee for 2. Oiwa takes a bomb + elbow slice and is pinned.
It was a shorter one and not really what it could have been with enough time. There was nothing wrong or spectacular about it.
Young Blood (Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima) vs. Guerrillas Of Destiny (El Phantasmo & Hikuleo)
The young lions hit their opponents before the bell. Hiku takes a face kick and forearm then is lariated over the top. ELP takes a double shot from his opponents then ELP is whipped into a big back body drop. ELP takes a high/low kick combo for 2.
Yuto crabs ELP and Oskar legdrops ELP while he's in it. Hiku and Oskar stare down. They trade forearms and Oskar wins the exchange. Hiku shoulders him over then suplexes him. Oskar takes a side slam and a 2nd rope ELP elbow drop. ELP leapfrogs Oskar then Oskar runs into a ddt. Oskar and Hiku choke each other then Oskar high dropkicks him.
Yuto and ELP trade forearms. Yuto running forearms him then ELP springboard crossbodies him. Yuto gets his knees up on ELP's asai moonsault. Yuto backslides ELP for 2 then cradles him for another 2.
ELP step up enzugiri's Yuto then hits his UFO cutter on him. Oskar breaks up the pin. Hiku powerslams Oskar then chokeslams him. Yuto takes a superkick and chokeslam. Hiku puts Yuto next to Oskar and ELP springboard splashes them both to win it.
It was short and didn't really get enough time. Hiku and Oskar going at it was fun.
Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma), El Desperado, Master Wato, Shota Umino & Tama Tonga vs. House Of Torture (Dick Togo, EVIL, Ren Narita, SHO, Yoshinobu Kanemaru & Yujiro Takahashi)
The fight starts before the bell rings and everyone brawls. Despy armdrags Kanemaru out then Despy is 2v1'd. Wato flying headscissors Sho then Honma hits forearms on Kanemaru. Kanemaru eye rakes him then Honma shoulders him over. Honma misses a headbutt drop. Togo stomps Honma and Despy is sent into the post. Honma takes a double suplex.
Evil throws Tama out then Honma is sent into the exposed buckle. Yujiro face kicks Honma on the ropes for 2 then elbows his neck. Honma hits shots on Yujiro then Honma ddt's Yujiro. Togi gets in and knocks over Yujiro. Togi shoulders him over. Tama lariats Evil in the corner then Evil and Yujiro take stereo corner punches.
Yujiro reverse ddt's Togi then running face kicks him. Togi lariats Yujiro. Shota is tagged in and gets offense in on Ren. Shota drops Ren on his chest then hits a hard low dropkick. Shota cravates Ren then hits downward elbows. Ren goes for a sleeper but is thrown off. Ren jumping knee presses Shota.
HoT get in and hit corner attacks on Shota. Evil fisherman suplexes Shota for 2. Togo chokes Shota then Tama hits a tonga twist on Evil. Everyone gets a move in and Shota double underhook ddt's Togo to win it.
Ren then chokes Ren with a push-up board after. He then hits him with it. Desperado gets hit with a weapon and Evil hits everything is evil on Tama. Tama is then handcuffed and Evil's hair is cut.
It was under 10 minutes and we really didn't get to see much of anyone here. I'm not even 100% sure if everyone got a move in.
United Empire (Francesco Akira, HENARE, Jeff Cobb, TJP & Will Ospreay) vs. BULLET CLUB War Dogs (Alex Coughlin, Clark Connors, David Finlay, Drilla Moloney & Gabe Kidd)
The heels are dove on before the bell hits and then the fight starts. They fight in the aisle way then Akira gets up on the stands and dives on everyone. Will springboard forearms DF then Will is pounded on by War Dogs. Will takes a lariat + german combo and Henare hits a berzerker bomb. Cobb dropkicks Alex then is clipped and superkicked. Henare double lariats Clark and Drilla.
Henare is caught off the 2nd rope and suplexed by Alex. Alex catches TJP's tornado ddt attempt and the ref is bumped into. Alex karelin's lifts TJP. Akira superkicks Alex then TJP superkicks him with him. Alex double lariats both then Henare punches through a chair.
The ref stops Henare from using a chair then Clark eye rakes Henare. Clark and the ref push each other then Clark spears the ref and pounds him. Cobb belly to belly suplexes Clark out then Gabe suplexes Cobb. Akira machine gun chops Gabe then Gabe bites him.
Akira hits forearms on DF then flying headscissors him. Gabe lariats Akira and Gabe is busted open. Everyone starts through chairs and rails into the ring and the ref calls the match off.
Gabe pounds on Will after then DF bites Will. Drilla puts a fork in Akira's head and Cobb germans Gabe. Will hits a springboard cutter then hits forearms on DF. The ref is thrown out and Df nails Will. Will hook kicks DF and hits an os cutter. Gedo low blows Will then DF pounds on Will.
The United Empire fight the heels off then Gedo is powerbombed into a table.Will gets on the mic after and says his group is still standing. Will says he's leaving NJPW on 2/11 and will fight 5v5 with Bullet Club and let them pick the rules.
I didn't get this one. A ref was speared on purpose and Kidd wasn't even DQ'd for it. It instead went to a no contest several minutes later. The brawling and chaos was fun though.
Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi, Shingo Takagi, Tetsuya Naito & Yota Tsuji) vs. Just 5 Guys (DOUKI, SANADA, Taichi, TAKA Michinoku & Yuya Uemura)
Yuya runs into a boot to start. Yota flying headscissors him then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers him. Yuya flips out of a suplex then hits armdrags and a dropkick. Yota misses a curb stomp and takes an enzugiri. Yota pumping knees him. Both drop back and tag out.
HT hurricanrana's Douki. Douki's slingshot is stopped then he cartwheel back elbows HT. HT basement dropkicks him then double axe handles his arm. Douki springboard double back elbows Naito and HT then Sanada gets in. Sanada dropkicks Naito then puts Yota in a paradise lock. Shingo is then tripped into him. Sanada bridging twisting neckbreakers Naito and kips up.
Bushi sunset flips Sanada then Naito sliding kicks him. Sanada hurricanrana's Shingo. Taichi gets in and running face kicks Shingo. Taichi side kicks Shingo then hits Kawada kicks. They trade leg kicks for forearms and chops. Shingo shoulders him over then nails him from behind.
Taichi face kicks Shingo then spin kicks him. They lariat each other then Shingo takes a gamengiri. Bushi and Taka go at it. Taka eye pokes him and step up knees him in the corner. Taka running knees him for 2 then puts him in just facelock.
Taka slaps Bushi then Taka takes corner attacks and a 4 man baseball slide. Bushi rewind kicks Taka then takes a michinoku driver. Taka gets the win.
It was a short sprint with everyone getting a segment in then tagging out to the next guy. We only got about 10 minutes of this when it could have went 30.
Yota and Yuya have words after.
NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling Title Four Way Match - Toru Yano vs. Taiji Ishimori vs. YOH vs. Great-O-Khan
Whoever has the last pin at 10 minutes is the winner, I think.
We have a 10 minute itme limit for this. Khan is triple teamed to start then TI takes a double boot. TI pump kicks Sho and Yano pushes Sho into him then rolls him up. Yano takes a double dropkick then TI and Yoh fight. TI handsprings on the ropes then is tripped. TI rolls up Yoh and they trade pin attempts. Khan trips and rolls up both opponents.
Khan rolls up Yano then Yano hits him in the head. Khan mongolian chops him and hits a punch. Khan sits on Yano's neck in the corner then Yoh hits Khan with a turnbuckle pad. TI top rope hurricanrana's Khan and Yoh rolls up Yano for 3. TI sends Yoh into the post then shoulderbreakers him.
Yoh superkicks TI then Khan tries pins. TI sunset flips Khan then eye pokes him. Khan throws him over the top. Yano rolls up Khan for 2 twice then Khan grounds him and does a sheepkiller sleeper. Khan TTD's Yano for 2. Khan puts a choke on Yano and pins him for a 2 count. Khan uranages Yano and is superkicked on the pin attempt.
Khan does a wrist clutch, sheep killer uranage on Yoh and pins him. Khan pins him again which does nothing. Yoh rolls up Khan for 2. TI low blows Khan then rolls him up for a pin. TI runs around the ring where he can't be pinned. Khan tries to throw Yano and Yoh in to pin them. TI breaks up a pin and runs to the back. TI gets the win.
This was a near comedy match that was silly and hard to follow.
TMDK (Kosei Fujita, Mikey Nicholls, Shane Haste & Zack Sabre Jr.) vs. Blackpool Combat Club (Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley) & CHAOS (Kazuchika Okada & Tomohiro Ishii)
Bryan and Zack start us off. They go for submissions. Zack strangleholds him and is pulled over. Zack double knuckle locks him then they trade kicks while holding hands. Zack wristlocks him and is thrown by the wrist. Zack ducks a kick and rolls. Mikey and Okada get in. Mikey shoulders him and knocks him over. Okada leapfrogs and trips him into an elbow drop. TMDK is knocked off the apron.
Mikey takes corner attacks then Okada shoulders Mikey over. Mikey backdrops Okada then Shane hits kicks on Okada. Zack hammerlock twists Okada's arm with his feet then Kosei gets in. Kosei codebreakers Okada's arm. then pushes his head with his boot. Okada forearms him then Kosei hits a big chop. Okada face kicks him.
Mikey back elbows Okada then is flapjacked. Mox gets in and cutters Mikey. Shane is thrown into the rails then so is Kosei. Mox hits corner punches on Mikey then bites him. Mox rakes Mikey's back then superplexes him. Mox PK's Mikey then puts him in a texas cloverleaf. Mox forearms Shane then Mox takes a backdrop + neckbreaker. Mox ddt's both TMDK members at the same time.
Ishii gets in and lariats Shane in the corner. Ishii shoulders Shane over then backdrops him. Zack sleepers Bryan then Bryan throws him out. Bryan flying knees Zack off the apron. Shane backdrops Ishii then Ishii takes a triple team attitude adjustment. Okada dropkicks Kosei then over the back neckbreakers Shane on the knee. Shane high kicks Ishii then falcon arrows him for 2. Mikey and Shane take stereo germans. Zack takes euros then an Okada ddt.
Bryan kicks Zack in the chest then Mox spinning forearms Shane. Ishii hits a nice lariat on Shane for 2. Mox misses a plancha on Mikey outside. Kosei enzugiri's Ishii then dropkicks Okada off the apron. Kosei tope con hilos Okada. Ishii headbutts Shane then Ishii takes an elevated ddt and is pinned.
It was a fast paced sprint with everyone getting a little time in then moving on to the nect guy. Mox and Bryan didn't get to do a lot here though their team surprisingly lost. It was fine but totally forgettable.
Zack tells Bryan he wants his rematch and says Bryan will tap out next time. TMDK say they want to challenge for the Never 6-Man titles.
Overall thoughts: They might have had Mox, Will and Bryan here, but it was a house show. Nothing got that much time and there were too many people in each match to really see much of anyone. It was still entertaining, but not the classic it could have been. I think I would lightly recommend it.
