There was supposed to be a first round match between Queen's Quest and Donna Del Mondo. It seems like Miyu Amasaki was out and that cancelled the match. 

I skipped Hina vs Lady C.

Rookie Of Stardom 2023 First Round Match - Yuzuki vs. Ranna Yagami

Ranna tries to take down Yu and they do some amateur wrestling. Yu headlock takeovers her and they stand off. They hit forearms on the ropes. Ranna flying back elbows her then kicks her in the back. Yu flying headscissors her and they trade forearms.

Yu slams her then Ranna slams her back. Yu slams her again. Ranna hits body kicks then armbars her. Yu rolls her for 2 then Rana rolls her into an armbar attempt. Yu dropkicks her then walks up the ropes and puts her down. Yu goes for a roll-up, gets reversed then rolls her up to win it.

It went longer than it needed to. Nothing was wrong with it just nothing really stood out either. But Ranna being a month or so in and not botching anything is good.

Rookie Of Stardom 2023 First Round Match - HANAKO vs. Sayaka Kurara

Saya runs at her with spear attempts then hits forearms. Hana shoulders her over then slams her. Hana hits spears to the back. Saya spears her from the apron then springboard armdrags her. Saya dropkicks her several times. Hana slams her and knee drops her for 2. Saya jumps on her back with a sleeper. Hana throws Saya over then Saya hits a nice spear. Hana slams her then Saya cradles her for 2.  Hana face kicks her then racks her. Hana running face kicks her and suplexes her for the win.

I felt it went longer than it needed to and wasn't that interesting. Nobody botched anything though. Saya had some highlights and arguably looked more impressive than Hana here. It's not that Hana's bad, but she doesn't have a lot of spirit and she hasn't really learned how to use her size.

Triangle Derby 2024 First Round Match - Mei Seira, Suzu Suzuki & Megan Bayne vs. Queen's Quest (AZM, Saya Kamitani & Utami Hayashishita)

AZM and Meg stare down. AZM measures her up and hits chest forearms. AZM slaps her and is chopped for it. AZM hooks around her in the air then is sent int othe buckles. AZM gets caught off the 2nd rope and overhead suplexed. Meg hits knees to the body and Mei dropkicks AZM.

Suzu and AZM go at it. AZM takes a push kick. Suzu running knees her in the corner. Suzu kicks her then takes a suplex. Saya springboards in and dropkicks Suzu. Saya double dropkicks Meg and Mei then Meg takes a double dropkick.

Suzu kicks Saya in the back then sliding germans her while she's on the 2nd rope. Suzu does a drive by baseball slide on the apron. Saya spinning high kicks Suzu then Suzu superkicks her. Saya ducks a buzzsaw kick then Suzu sliding knees her in the back.

Meg gets in and beats up on Saya and AZM. Meg splashes both in the corner then catches both in the air, hitting a samoan drop + fallway slam. Saya springboard crossbodies Meg for 2. Meg and Utami shoulder battle and Meg knocks her over. Meg fallaway slams Utami. Saya sunset flips Meg into a low dropkick from Utami. Utami lariats Meg against the ropes then Meg flying lariats her. Utami then germans her.

AZM and Mei go at it. AZM armdrags her off the 2nd rope and both kip up and stand off. They trade forearms and AZM armbars her. Mei suplexes her. Mei takes a triple team in the corner and all 6 girls fight. Meg throws AZM out onto her partners then Mei springboard blockbusters AZM.

AZM armdrags Mei off the 2nd rope then buzzsaw kicks her for 2. AZM top rope double footstomps her then Saya pump kicks Suzu. Mei cradles AZM and and AZM reverses another pin attempt. Mei then reverses her and sunset flips her own partner to german Mei. AZM Rolls up Mei then AZM takes a face kick into a release german. Mei dropkicks AZM then takes a leg clutch german. The time limit then expires.

It went longer than it needed to. It had a fast pace to it but it was just random people coming in and out the whole time and doing a sequence and that got old.

Triangle Derby 2024 First Round Match - Oedo Tai (Momo Watanabe, Natsuko Tora & Starlight Kid) vs. STARS (Hanan, Mayu Iwatani & Saya Iida)

Kid and Hanan go at it with rapid forearms. Hanan hits a nice dropkick. Kid is rolled into a low dropkick then Saya butt drops Kid. Kid takes a triple basement dropkick then flying forearms Hanan. Tora samoan drops Hanan then sentons her. Tora camel clutches Hanan then Hanan takes a PK.

Momo gets in and kicks around Hanan. Hanan hits forearms to the chest then is kicked. Hanan hip throws Kid when she gets in then Mayu gets in. Mayu 2nd rope dropkicks her then walks up the ropes and double armdrags Tora and Momo. Oedo tai all take dropkicks against the bototm rope then Mayu northern lights suplexes Kid.

Kid springboard twisting crossbodies Mayu then basement dropkicks her. Kid standing moonsaults Mayu then Momo running kicks Mayu. Saya hits chops on Momo then machine gun chops her. Momo kicks her down then Momo is sandwiched with running shots. Momo takes a triple team bulldog then Saya top rope shoulders Momo.

Momo dropkicks Saya. Saya hits a lariat then Tora lariats her. Momo meteoras Saya for 2. Momo b-drivers Saya for 2. Mayu superkicks Momo then Saya lariats Momo for 2. Tora double spears Hanan and Mayu then Momo high kicks Saya in the face from the side. Saya takes a double team pendulum uranage from Momo and Kid then takes a package tombstone. Momo gets the win.

It was a spring from beginning to end here with lots of fast paced action. We didn't see a lot of Mayu here. It was okay but they had too many people and not enough time.

Triangle Derby 2024 First Round Match - Oedo Tai (Fukigen Death, Rina & Ruaka) vs. God's Eye (Ami Sourei, MIRAI & Syuri)

Death and Syuri start us off. Death does her smoking pose and tries to give Syuri an invisible cigarette. Syuri stomps it out and is poked in the eye. Death hits her with a newspaper then Syuri takes a double boot. Rina jumping double knees Utami and octopus stretches her. Rina then dragon sleepers Ami while doing it.

Syuri back crackers and back kicks Rina. Mirai gets in and shoulders over Rina. Rina hiptosses Mirai then Ruaka sentons Mirai. Ruaka and Mirai shoulder battle and Ruaka knocks her over. Ruaka fisherman busters Mirai then Mirai hammerlocks her. Ruaka throws her down then misses a top rope splash. Mirai AT locks Ruaka and it gets broken up.

Ruaka lariats Mirai then Ruaka takes a double lariat. Ruaka takes a triple team powerbomb then Mirai lariats her for the win.

It only went a little over 6 minutes and wasn't enough for all of the people in it. Everyone got one section and that was it. Mirai and Ruaka were in there the longest.

Due to the Donna Del Mondo vs Queen's Quest match not happening, somehow, God's Eye has to fight the other Oedo Tai team right after this.

Triangle Derby 2024 Semi Final Match - Oedo Tai (Momo Watanabe, Natsuko Tora & Starlight Kid) vs. God's Eye (Ami Sourei, MIRAI & Syuri)

Oedo Tai attacks Syuri's team before the bell. Tora shoulders Ami over and all 6 go outside. Momo takes Syuri out of the arena area somewhere then Kid runs Mirai up the ramp to the back. Syuri and Momo trade kicks outside. Ami takes a triple team inside with a Kid standing moonsault and Tora splash.

Tora single leg crabs Ami then turns it into a normal boston crab. Syuri shotgun dropkicks Tora then Kid and Momo take corner attacks. Tora takes a double codebreaker. then Ami machine gun chops Tora. Ami corner splashes Tora then Tora lariats her on the ropes. Ami suplexes Tora then Kid does a headscissors + headlock takeover combo on Ami and Mirai.

Syuri and Momo trade chest kicks then Momo uranage's her. Tora cannonballs all 3 opponents in the corner then Kid top rope crossbodies her opponents outside. Syuri's team are thrown into the seats. Everyone fights outside, Ami slips back in and gets the win for her team via countout.

This was a dud with heels controlling most of it and them not doing a lot but lame outside brawling. Then we had a countout finish.

7Upp (Nanae Takahashi & Yuu), Hazuki & Saki Kashima vs. Cosmic Angels (Saori Anou & Yuna Mizumori), Maika & Mina Shirakawa

Anou and Haz start us off. They trade face kicks and Anou flurries her. Haz pump kicks her. We get a 4 person facewash spot with Mina switching around with Saki and giving her a facewash. Haz crossfaces Anou then codebreakers her. Anou step up enzugiri's her and perfectplexes her.

Maika gets in and corner lariats Haz. Haz sunset flips her then codebreakers her. Yuu gets in and sentons Maika. Yuu chops her up and they shoulder battle. Yuu shoulders her over then Maika lariats her from behind. Nanae gets in and knocks over Maika. Maika powerslams her for 2 then Mina asks to get in.

Mina hits a forearm flurry on Nanae and boots her in the face. They slap each other and Nanae takes her down. Nana does a grounded cobra twist. Nanae swinga Mina's foot into Anou then double bulldogs both. Haz and Nane then put crossfaces on Mina and Anou at the same time.

Mira corner lariats Nanae then Mina knee dropkicks Nanae. Mina figure fours Nanae then hits chest kicks. Nanae kicks her hwile she's down then takes a spinning forearm. Mina backdrops Nanae. Yuna comes off the top and shoulderblocks Nanae. She hits lariats on her then forearm flurries her. Yuna dropkicks her then back body drops her.

Yuna sliding lariats Nanae and Yuu sentons Yuna while she tries to pin Nanae. Yuna fights off Yuu and Nanae then is double flipped backwards by them. Yuu cannonballs Yuna then Nanae blue thunders Yuna for 2. Nanae sliding D's Yuna. Saki gets in for the first time for a 2 count on Yuna. Maika backdrops Saki and Anou fisherman suplexes her. Yuna top rope splashes Saki for 2.

Nanae nails all of her opponents out of the corner. Maika lariats her then is hurricanrana's by Saki.  Yuna takes a bad backdrop + knee combo. Yuu and Nanae try to drop Saki onto Yuna but Yuna moves. Maika takes a double shoulder from Yuu and NAnae then Anou top rope dropkicks those two. Mina does a top rope dive on the outside onto opponents. Yuna lariats Saki then cradle shocks her for 2. Anou release germans Haz then Yuna side headlocks Saki. Saki then rolls up Yuna and wins it.

It was long and not that good. It just didn't have a lot of flow to it and didn't click. The crowd wasn't that interested in it either. Just too many people involved doing too many different things.

Mina and Nanae fight some after and Hazuki wants Anou's title.

Rookie Of Stardom 2023 Final Match - HANAKO vs. Yuzuki

Hana refuses a hand shake and Yu running dropkicks her. They trade chest forearms and Hana forearm flurries her. Yu dropkicks her and is shouldered over. Hana corner stomps her then hits spears to her back. Hana slams Yu. Yu hits low dropkicks on Hana. Yu corner dropkicks Hana then Hana side slams her.

Hana crabs her then stomps her. They forearm each other and Hana lariats her against the ropes. Yu spinning headscissors her then walks up the buckles and facebusters her on the way down. Hana slams her then hits mounted forearms. Hana corner splashes her back then racks her. Yu slides out and rolls her up for 2.

Yu hits a nice hip throw and Hana face kicks her. Hana suplexes her for 2. They reverse roll-ups and Yu gets the upset with a cruficix.

It was a decent match. This was the best performance I've ever seen Hana have with her flurrying Yuzuki and actually showing some fire. They both brought some extra energy for this and we saw Yuzuki bust out a nice hip throw en route to getting the surprise upset. More of this Hanako please.

Artist Of Stardom Title Triangle Derby 2024 Final Match - Donna del Mondo (Giulia, Mai Sakurai & Thekla) (c) vs. God's Eye (Ami Sourei, MIRAI & Syuri)

G= Giulia

DDM is rushed with forarms to start. Thekla forearms Mirai then dropkicks her. Syuri STO's Ami then Mirai rolls into a cutter on G. Mirai gets thrown off the top onto the apron by Thekla then Thekla top rope crossbodies to the outside. Mai and G go up top and hit a double elbow drop on Mirai then Thekla fisherman suplexes Mirai for 2.

Mai pump kicks Mirai then does a wrist-clutch northern lights suplex. Mai forearms her down then she and Mirai trade forearms. Mirai suplexes Mai then Ami gets in. Ami machine gun chops Mai then corner splashes her for 2. Mai flying kicks Ami and G gets in.

G forearms Ami then Ami crabs her. G is pendulum dropped on the mat face first. Syuri shotgun dropkicks G then G exploders Syuri. Syuri and G slap each other then G punches her. Syuri chest kicks G then G backdrops her. Thekla top rope crossbodies Syuri. Thekla spin kicks her then Ami and Mirai attack her. Ami death valley drivers her and Thekla is held up for a top rope Syuri legdrop.

Thekla and Syuri fight up top and Thekla superplexes her. Syuri is picked up and takes a diving codebreaker from the top. Thekla koji clutches Syuri hen Thekla hurricanrana's Syuri off a powerbomb attempt. Thekla top rope splashes Syuri for 2. Mai top rope dropkicks G on accident then Thekla top rope splashes Mai. Thekla takes a double clothesline.

G and Mai take clotheslines then Syuri jumping knees Thekla for 2. Syuri hits like a spinning emerald flowsion move on Thekla then emerald flowsion's her for 2. Thekla spears Syuri then bridge pins her for 2. Syuri hits kicks on Thekla for 2. Syuri electric chair slams her and gets the win.

It was similar to the other trios matches on the show. It was action packed from start to finish with a fast pace. Like everything else, people came in and out constantly and there wasn't a lot of story or selling. The main was entertaining but not something you would remember.

Overall thoughts: If you like a bunch of fast-paced, action packed trios matches that are heavily focused on moves and not much else, you will love this. If you are looking for more storyline work, slower matches and submissions, this is not for you. It wasn't boring, but it wasn't exactly great either. It almost felt like we saw the same match multiple times over at times.
