Reality of Wrestling 5/27/2026 PLATINUM Episode 28
The last show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/05/reality-of-wrestling-5212026-glory.html
Booker T comes out. He says he's in a good mood and says "Welcome to Powershift". He says it's a good night as the ROW Board of Directors gave him his old job back of running day to day operations here. He says we are in a new era and have a new champ in Niko Vance.
He brings out Niko Vance. He says this business is about what have you done for me lately? He says Niko will have to defend against the best of ROW. He says they will come at him from every corner. Booker asks what his plan is to defend the title.
Niko says he's doing this for Texas City, Houston, the fans and ROW. He says line 'em and he'll take them down. Booker does a shucky ducky quack quack and says let's get this show going.
Daniel Alexandro is interviewed. He's going or the ROW Texas Title. He complains about how his name is said. He says he's not here to please anyone, he's here to make paper. He says tonight is his moment. He says everyone will know that when he takes the Texas Title, he is a superstar.
ROW Texas Title - Jay Alexander (c) vs Daniel Alexandro
Dan attacks him as he poses on the ropes and swinging neckbreakers him. Jay lariats him then overhead belly to belly suplexes him. Jay spinning side slams him for 2.
Jay goes for a suplex and takes a neckbreaker. Dan kicks him in the back then running boots him for 2. Dan back elbows him for 2. Dan hits corner spears. Dan low corner dropkicks him for 2. Jay chops him then Dan lariats him.
Jay hits punches. Jay catches his up and over then twisting drops him from his shoulder. Jay then pins him.
Thoughts: It was a shorter bout. Dan attacked him before it started, got most of the offense in then was put down. It was acceptable, but maybe Jay could have done a few more power moves to him before winning.
Jay is interviewed in the aisle after. Jay says they have former WWE stars here, WWE ID stars and NXT stars here. He says his goal is the next level but being the most dominant champ like anyone else. He says line them up and he will knock them down.
Jesse Funaki asks who Nassir Day is? Warren Johnson comes in and says they are fighting tonight. He says he will see him in the ring.
Better Together (Ori Gold and Hadar Horovitz) vs The Dirty White Boys (Jonny Lyons and TY Shane)
Ori has the longer hair here. HH shoves TY before the match starts.
HH wristlocks TY and TY reverses it. HH side headlock takeovers him. TY puts him in a headscissors and they both kip up. Better Together tie up TY's arms then pull back on them. Ori wristlocks TY. TY pulls on his hair. Lyons 2nd rope double axe handles Ori. They trade chops.
Ori goes up and over. Better Together kiss Lyons then russian legsweep him. Lyons takes a double kick for 2. TY knees Ori in the back from the apron. Ori's throat is pulled down over the top. Lyon dropkicks Ori then slams TY onto him for 2.
TY bites Ori's hand. Ori takes a double back elbow and a double elbow drop. Ori is double stomped on then TY chinlocks him. Ori evades his opponents and tags out. HH hits forearms on his opponents. He boots both in the corner. TY is thrown out.
They trade forearms. Lyons is held for a codebreaker then HH senton his back for 2. HH hits chops on TY then he lifts Ori into a dropkick on him. Ori grabs TY's hair then backrolls Lyons. TY euros Ori from the outside and Lyons pins Ori.
Thoughts: It was acceptable but nothing too great. I don't know if I've ever seen The Boys win before and I haven't seen Better Together win a lot either.
Savage King gets on the mic before his math but the audio has problems and we can't hear him. We are told he issued an open challenge.
Savage King vs Hoka
They stare down and pump their fists. King knees him in the gut then Hoka slams him. Hoka shoulders him over then King dropkicks him. King hits some shots. Hoka misses a corner spear and is german'd. King spinebusters him for 2. Hoka flying headbutts him and wins.
Thoughts: It was a very short one sadly. We didn't get much at all before going to the finish and I don't know why. It seemed like it was going to be a fun power match too.
Nasir Dey vs Jesse Funaki
Dey is the former Warren Johnson of Fly Def.
Dey takes him down and spins on his back. Dey side headlock takeovers him. JF then does the same. They go face to face. JF chops him in the corner. JF armdrags him twice into an armlock. Dey side headlocks him.
Dey shoulders him over and JF dropkicks him for 2. JF's throat is pulled over the top rope. Dey topes him. Dey suplexes him for 2. They trade forearms. Dey back elbows him for 2. Dey pulls his arms back. JF suplexes him.
JF slingblades him. JF enzugiri's him. JF running dropkicks him then fameassers him from behind. JF misses a flying knee and Dey buzzsaw kicks him for 2. They trade pin attempts. JF flying knees him for the win.
Thoughts: I was surprised to see Funaki win here. It was a basic but acceptable match here. They didn't do anything too crazy or exciting but didn't botch anything either. This isn't a good way to start off under a new name.
Funaki talks in the camera after. Dey hits him from behind and stomps him in the corner. Dey then talks trash in the camera.
Overall thoughts: 3 of the 4 matches were acceptable here. Hoka/King was disappointing as King got beaten quick. The opener was the best thing on here. Warren Johnson is now known as Nasir Dey and he lost his first match under the name for unknown reasons. I would this was an average show and I'd give it a 5 out of 10. I wouldn't recommend this.
