Reality of Wrestling 4/6/2025 Episode 435

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/04/reality-of-wrestling-3292025-episode-434.html

Carolina Teage, Brad Gilmore and Chris Russo talk about today's show.

ROW Texas Title - No Holds Barred, Falls Count Anywhere - Gino Medina vs Ayden Cristiano vs Max Castellanos

Gino comes out in his dad's La Calaca outfit. Max swings a chair at Gino. Gino forearms both opponents. Gino is popped up and does a hurricanrana off of it. Gino lariats AC over the top then topes him through the buckles. Max chairs AC. Gino's throat is pulled down over the top rope and Max top rope crossbodies him. AC ddt's Max.

AC stomps on his opponents. Gino gets a table rammed into his gut. Max's head is banged off a table. Gino does a slingshot sunset flip that causes Max to german AC. Gino and Max trade chops. Gino corkscrew kicks Max. Gino hits Max with a crutch. Max then hits Gino with the crutch. Max is then powerbombed through a table.

AC pulls out Gino and rams him into the rails outside. AC hits Gino with a kendo stick and then a wet floor sign. Gino is sent into a trash can in the merch area for 2. Gino bangs AC's head off a table then throws a chair in his face. La Familia, who are with AC, come in and beat up Gino. Gino avoids being powerbombed through a table by climbing a wall.

Gino then dives off the wall onto La Familia. AC chairs Gino in the ring.

Gino takes a half-nelson twisting drop on a chair. Max sitout pendulum slams AC. AC flying corner facekicks Gino. Gino brazilian kicks AC then does a sitout angel's wings on him on a chair. Gino then pins AC.

Thoughts:
It was all hardcore wrestling here. It was an okay match with them really focusing on Gino and AC. There wasn't a lot of 3-way fighting and mostly one person was off to the side while the others fought. We got a rare table spot here and a dive off a wall which was cool.

Marcus Mathers does a promo. He says he's here to beat Sam Halloway. He says he's on a winning streak in WWE ID and is ready to continue that. He says he has to go through Sam to do it.

Ryan Davidson is in the back. Gustavo Mendoza comes up to him and asks if he will accept his offer. Ryan says Gustavo has offered nothing but trouble for anyone here. He asks why he should trust him and asks what his end game is. Gustavo says Ryan shouldn't trust him. He says he isn't the most trustworthy, but he has done nothing but create champions. He says he can make Ryan a champ again.

Ryan gets mad. He says he hasn't gotten help from anyone to be a champ. He says he has only trusted in himself and doesn't trust in Gustavo. Ryan says there will be something attached to Gustavo's help and walks off.

GM Andrew Jackson has a masked wrestler named Savage King pick his number for the Last Stand Rumble. He does and says nothing. Andrew then says "Savage King".

Tiffany Nieves and Hailey J vs The Moneybirds (Gigi Rey and "Ladybird" Monica Monroe)

Tiff and J argue before it even starts and Tiff is rolled up for 2. Rey armdrags Tiff twice then armlocks her. Tiff is tripped into a baseball slide then Monica slingshot swantons her. Tiff double throat thrusts Monica. Monica rolls up J for 2. Rey holds J on the ropes and Monica hits a stiff superkick to the face.

Rey chinlocks J. Tiff knees Rey in the back from the apron. J and Tiff double team Rey. Rey spinning sideslams Rey then J leg lariats Rey for 2. Rey headbutts J, knocking her off the top. Rey slips off the 2nd rope onto J.

Rey goes for the tag but Tiff pulls Monroe off the apron. J meteora's Rey from behind. Rey is held for a 2nd rope lariat from Tiff for 2. Tiff and J argue then push each other. J is pushed into Tiff then takes a german.

Monroe is tagged in. She hits shots on Tiff then lariats her over the top. Monroe slingblades J. Monroe finlay rolls J then asai moonsaults her. The Birds hit stereo 2nd rope diving shots on J and Rey pins J.

Thoughts: They pushed J and Tiff not being able to work well together here and that was the story fo the match. Rey slipped on a 2nd rope move but it was okay enough otherwise. The Birds couldn't get a ton of heat going here since the heels weren't getting a lot of offense in here.

Will Allday is picking his Last Stand Rumble spot with Andrew Jackson. He seems to pick a good number. Clay Roberts walks in and says it's not the #30 like his. He says Will may not make it to #30 but he'd like his autograph if he does. Will says he might be able to make that happen and says he will see him out there.

Sam Halloway gets on the mic. He tells everyone to shut their mouths. He says he starts his path to becoming the first WWE ID champ. He says it starts with beating Marcus Mathers.

WWE ID Match - Sam Halloway vs Marcus Mathers

Sam piefaces him then slams him. They each hit chops and MM goes down. Sam throws him then suplexes him for 2. Sam hits a short arm clothesline and puts a choke on him. Sam then ddt's him for 2. MM tries to fight back and is clubbed.

MM's 2nd rope dive is caught and Sam double underhook supelxes him into the buckles for 2. Sam misses a vader bomb. MM os cutters him then lariats him over the top. MM tope con hilos him outside. MM hits a springboard cutter for 2.

Sam goes for the chokeslam, MM blocks it then rolls him up while holding the tights. MM then wins.

Thoughts:
It was on the shorter end and it was average for the most part. Sam didn't get to do a ton in this one and MM just did some os cutters and a dive.

Ryan Davdison talks to Gustavo Mendoza. He says he knows he hasn't been himself. He says he's had some ups and downs but says he can't do it. Gustavo says you never get back what you put in in this business. He says nothing is owned to you and you go out and take it. Ryan says it's been his. He says the business doesn't owe him anything but some people do. Ryan says he tried to make people better but they didn't try to make him better. Ryan says he's tired of seeing people make lines for others when they should be making lines for him. He says he's owed that and it's time he takes it. Ryan asks when do we start?

ROW World Title -  Gaspar Hernandez (c) vs Matty Ice

Booker T is with Gas. Ice side headlocks him and tries to shoulder him over but Gas doesn't budge. Gas side headlocks him then shoulders him over. Ice hiptosses him then hits punches in the corner. Ice snapmares him then running boots him for 1.

Ice rolls him up for 1 then Gas knees him in the gut. Ice dropkicks him thee backslides him. Ice misses a corner splash then Gas hits a sky high. Gas stomps on him then clubs on him. Gas side slams him for 2.

Gas is pulled over the top. Ice is then thrown over the top when Gas gets back in. Gas suplexes him in then chinlocks him. Ice headbutts him then spinebusters him. They trade punches and Ice flying lariats him for 2. Gas punches him then Ice hits lariats. Ice uranages him.

Ice elbow drops him and does Booker T's spinarooni. Booker talks to the ref on the apron. Ice grabs the ref and Booker puts a cigar in Ice's eye. Gas powerbombs Ice and wins.

Thoughts: It was average for the most part. Both needed to do a bit more here and Ice didn't quite play up his size as much as you would want.

Overall thoughts: I'm not familiar enough with some of the wrestlers so some of the backstage stuff didn't hit like it should have with me. The opener was a decent hardcore match with them busting out the weapons for a change. The women's tag was okay. I thought both the main and the semi main could have been a bit better. I'd give this one a 5 out of 10 as there was nothing awful but nothing too great either.

TNA Impact 5/1/2025

TNA Impact 5/1/2025

Last week's show is here:  https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/04/tna-impact-4242025.html

This was filmed live in Los Angeles, CA.

Joe Hendry comes out. He says he's the still the TNA champ. The crowd chants "Happy Birthday" for him. He says he's living the dream by winning the TNA Title and wrestling Orton at Wrestlemania. He said he wasn't 100% at Rebellion but belieed and walked out champ.

He then says he got attacked by Trick Williams after that match. He said he went to NXT to find Trick but he was nowhere to be seen and then he got jumped by Darkstate. Joe challenges Darkstate to come down here and calls out Trick Williams.

Trick doesn't come out but appears on the tron. He said he's still watching the show even though he isn't here. He says tonight's main event is a good opportunity to get hurt. He wishes him the best of luck and says he will see him soon. Joe says the show will continue if Trick is too scared. Joe then talks about the main event.

Gia interviews The Rascalz in the back. Gia asks how Zach feels about challenging Moose. He says he's excited and is happy about having Sean Waltman helping him win. He said he pinned Moose at the PLE and will do it again.

Santino talks to Sami Callihan in the back. He says he wants to talk about something serious. He then brings in Steph de Lander and Mance Warner. Steph said they didn't get paid as they missed Rebellion. Sami says he missed it too. Sami says him and Mance did something special at Unbreakable. He says he doesn't like him but will shake his hand like a man. Mance says they earned that and had the most violent fight in TNA in a long time.

Mance said some of the things they did are illegal in the streets. He says he will shake his hand if Steph wants him to. They shake hands and Sami says they are done for now.

Mike Santana vs Isaiah Moore

Moore rolls him up for 2. Moore moonsaults over him and hits kicks. Mike step up enzugiri's him. Moore jumping knees him. Mike death valley drivers him. Mike hits a corner cannonball then sitout powerbombs him for the win.

Thoughts: It was just a quick squash here that Mike won as expected. Moore almost didn't make it over on his 2nd rope moonsault.

Mike gets on the mic after and talks in Spanish. He says the top of one moment is the bottom of another. He says that brings him to one man - Joe Hendry. He says Joe has done a great job manning the fort but he has something he needs. He says he will climb the mountain to become TNA champ.

Steve Maclin comes out and gets jumped by The Northern Armory. They beat him up with a chain. Steve is whipped with the chain. Steve gets some shots in on Travis in the ring but is then triple teamed again. Eric chokes Steve with the chain.

Steve is tied up in the ropes with a chain and security breaks it up.

We go to break and return. Santino asks The Northern Armory what they were thinking. EY says he does whatever he wants and dares Santino to do something about it. Maclin then comes in but security holds him back. Santino says they can fight next week and Eric says it's the last one.

They talk about Moose barely winning at Ultimate X.

TNA X-Division Title Match - Moose (c) vs. Zachary Wentz

Zach hits him in the gut. Moose chops him in the corner. Zach boots him out of the corner then Zach 2nd rope diving headscissors him. Zach hits a basement dropkick. Zack hits a top rope dropkick. Zack does corkscrew plancha onto Moose.

We go to break and return. Moose does an abdominal stretch. Zach does a handspring jumping knee. Zach hits running forearms then hits kicks. Zach double stomps Moose's back. Zach PK's him from the apron then asai moonsaults him.

Zach 2nd rope corkscrews him for 2. Moose pop-up powerbombs him for 2. Zach rolls him up for 2. Moose walks up the buckles and does a top rope diving crossbody. Moose goes for a powerbomb and Zach sunset bombs him for 2.

Moose goes for a spear and gets facebustered. Zach hits a spiral tap for 2. Alisha Edwards trips Zach then Moose spears Zach. Moose then gets the pin.

Thoughts: It was a little short but I liked it. They had some nice spots here with Zack doing the flying and Moose putting him down. Moose then won as expected. The crowd was great for this.

We get a Bioflex Injury Report. Joe Hendry's shoulder is still not 100% and has a rotator cuff injury. Leon Slater was somehow not injured at the PLE. Ali had multiple bumps and bruises and won't miss ringtime. Tasha Steelz has an "upperbody injury" after getting powerbombed through a table. She is not medically cleared to wrestle.

We then see the Bioflex Recovery Room with someone getting worked on.

Gia tries to interview Mustafa Ali but he ignored her. John Skylar says Ali hasn't been the same since Rebellion and no one knows what he's capable of. He says to create something great, sometimes you have to destroy everything.

Cody Deaner comes out. We are told his contract expires tonight. He confirms this. He thanks Santino for letting him come out and speak to the people one last time. He says he hasn't won a match in over a year. He says winning isn't always about pins and victories. He said he grew up in the middle of nowhere and wanted nothing more than to be a pro wrestler. He said everyone told him it was impossible. He says he's a proud pro wrestler. He says he's a proud husband and father.

He says no one but TNA wanted to give a him a chance. He says he won't feel like a loser, just a winner because of the people.

Santino comes out. He says he's getting choked up. He says he can't renew his contract but can extend it to Under Siege. He says if he can beat "Edward Edwards", he can make a case to renew Cody's contract.

Robert Stone of NXT and Victoria Crawford/Alicia Fox come out. Stone asks if Santino is giving this waste of life another opportunity. He says Santino is officially under review. He says this place is like the Wild Wild West. He says TNA needs a leader and someone with a history and vision. He says TNA needs Robert Stone. He says he was put in charge to watch every step and move Santino does and says if he makes one mistake, he will report it. He says if anything slips through the cracks, Crawford will help him out. Stone says Crawford has a TNA Knockouts Title match against Masha at Under Siege. He says the higher ups aren't in a savage like Masha. Stone says he will watch Santino and says good luck.

Thoughts: Well this one was unexpected and out of nowhere.  I don't know what caused this, but they could have done better making sense of it.

Santino, Arianna Grace, Crawford and Stone talk in the back. Stone said he's trying to make TNA a better place. Tess Blanchard comes in and says it's a joke. She says Santino made this place a 2nd rate comedy club and says maybe it's time for someone like Robert Stone to clean up the mess Santino made. She tells him to step aside if he can't stomach it. Stone says him and Tessa should take a walk.

Chris Van Vilet is in the front row and they point him out.

Jody Threat vs Maggie Lee

They go face to face and lock up. They bring up Meiko Satomura retiring. Jody side headlocks her then shoudlers her over. Lee leapfrogs her and is shouldered over. Jody shoulders her over again then boots her in the head over the 2nd rope.

Jody hits a top rope la silla for 2. Lee kicks her in the gut and throws her down backwards for 1. Lee hits mounted shots. Lee pump kicks her for 2. Lee pulls back on her arms.

Lee does a bow and arrow. Jody boots her off the ropes and hits chops. Jody germans her. Jody is crotched on the top and Lee hits a bridging cutter for 2. Jody sunset flips her for 2. Jody hits corner lariats. Jody then hits an F-5 and wins.

Thoughts: Lee didn't have George or Heather with her which was a surprise. It was an average match as usual with Jody. Neither of these two are that great and we were only going to get so much out of a cold match like this.

The Elegance Brand goes up to Maggie Lee in the back and asked what happened. George says the best way to deal with a loss is a makeover. George says they will get her botox in Boca Raton. They chant for "botox" and leave.

Gia interviews Indi Hartwell on the stage. Indi thanks everyone who has supported her journey. She said she used to stay up late in Australia to watch TNA. She says she's proud to be part of that roster. She says she's not just a Knockout, she's The Knockout. She is asked who she wants to face. She says she has plans and has history with a lot of the knockouts. She says she's not here to be just another woman. She says things are about to get shaken up and says she has officially crossed the line.

KC Navarro vs Leon Slater

KC flips over Leon's back and poses. He piefaces Leon and gets punched. Leon rewind kicks KC. Leon handspring back elbows him out. KC is sent into the post. Leon 619's him under the bottom rope outside. Leon goes up top, AJ Francis trips him and is caught then ejected.

KC tornado ddt's him. KC chinlocks him. Leon snapmares him and boots him out of the corner. Leon running facekicks him. Leon twisting suplexes him for 2. Leon tries to corkscrew dive over the top, KC moves and Leon lands on his feet. Leon stares KC down then kicks him.

Leon hits a swanton 450 off the top and wins.

Thoughts:
It was short but it had a lot of action and there was nothing wrong with it.

Masha Slamovich talks about Victoria Crawford. She says she's been up to nothing while she's been defending the TNA Title. She says it's okay with her as Crawford will find out why she's not ready to be in the ring with an athlete of her caliber.

Frankie Kazarian & The Nemeths (Nic Nemeth & Ryan Nemeth) vs. Joe Hendry & The Hardys (Jeff Hardy & Matt Hardy)

Everyone pairs off and fights to start. The heels are then sent out. Joe does the "delete" taunt with The Hardy's. We go to break and return. Matt bangs Kaz's head off the buckles. Matt hits a side effect on Ryan. Matt 2nd rope elbow drops Ryan for 2.

Kaz guillotine legdrops Matt over the 2nd rope then Ryan lariats Matt. Ryan pounds on Matt. Nic foot chokes Matt. Ryan hit corner spears on Matt. Kaz cravates Matt. Kaz legdrops Matt for 2.

Matt russian legsweeps Kaz. Jeff and Nic get in. Jeff gets some offense in on him then elbow drops him for 2. Jeff jawbreakers Kaz then spin kicks Nic. Jeff pendulum double boots Nic for 2. Nic rolls up Jeff for 2. Jeff jumps off Matt's back and splashes Nic. Matt hits a side effect on Nic. Jeff hits a splash off the buckles on Nic for 2.

Joe fallaway slams 3 people. We get some people hitting moves then Joe hits a standing ovation on Nic. Trick Williams pulls Joe out and Ryan crotches Jeff up top. Nic hits a danger zone on Jeff and pins him.

Thoughts:
It didn't get a ton of time and was fine but not much else. Trick coming out was a surprise but it made sense.

Trick hits a trickshot on Joe after.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual Impact. There was nothing really must see on this one. Moose vs Wentz was good. Stone and Crawford appearing was random. Jody/Lee was average. I liked KC/Leon but it wasn't too long. The main was fine but it was also short. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it wasn't awful or anything but nothing will blow you away.

PN = Parkita Negra

Pimpi kisses the ref beforeit starts. Pimpi and Gallo go at it. Pimpi tries to kiss Gallo. Gallo gets on the apron and Pimp tries to kiss him again. Black gets in. He ducks kicks from Pimp then flying back elbows him. Val gets in. He leapfrogs Black, dances, superkicks and facebusters him. Val flying headscissors Black.

Tony comes in and chops up Val. Tony spears Val. Anubis gets in. Anubis flips out of a backdrop then flying headscissors Tony out. PN hits a stunner on Anubis. Parkita then top rope crossbodies PN. Parkita uses the ropes to armdrag PN. He flying headscissors PN out. PN catches his tope and overhead suplexes him on the floor. Gallo powerslams Anubis on the apron over the 2nd rope.

Parkita is popped up into a double knee then hiptossed into an Anubis sitout powerbomb. Tony chops Anubis in the corner. Anubis takes a bunch of offense including a codebreaker, a backcracker, a german and a top rope Black moonsault for 2.

Pimpi is then 4v1'd. Black runs into Pimp's butt in the corner. Pimpi then does a 2nd rope diving armdrag. Val counters a triple team with a double armdrag. Parkita asai moonsaults outside, Val topes and Anubis tope con hilos outside.

Pimpi headscissors Gallo, then ropewalk diving armdrags Gallo. Black calls for Pimpi to fight. Black hits wasteland on Pimpi then split-legged moonsaults him for 2. Anubis pumping knees Black. Anubis crucifix drivers Black then Tony canadian destroyers Black.

Anubis tope con hilos into the front row. Pimpi kisses Tony and pins him to win.

Thoughts: I liked it. It was timed right, it was action packed and we got a couple of nice dives before going home.

Adelicious, Jada Stone and Keyra vs Las Toxicas (Flammer, La Hiedra and Maravilla)

Ade is in the orange with the skirt. Key is in the purple. Mara has the dark hair of her trio along with some silver designs on her chest and Flam has the light hair. Hiedra has the black and red on her gear and is the heavier one.

Mara corner lariats Key then corner forearms her. Mara basement dropkicks her. Ade comes in and ducks a lariat. She then does bridges and armdrags Mara off the casadora. Mara's head is banged off the buckles then Ade top rope dragonrana's her. Hiedra hits forearms on Ade. Hiedra powerslams her. Jada superkicks Hiedra then swings her head around. Jada springboard 2nd rope headscissors her.

Jada limbos out of a lariat and hits a spinning headscissors on Hiedra. Jada sunset bombs her then standing moonsaults her. Flam comes in and boots Jada in the chest. She messes with her hair then shotgun dropkicks her. Key top rope crossbodies Flam. Key rolls her then basement dropkicks her.

Key messes with Flam's hair and slaps the back of her neck. The heels take control and throw Key out. Jada is triple teamed. Flam corner basement dropkicks Jada for 2. Ade takes a double flapjack then Flam is hiptossed into the ropes for a double stomp on her. Las Toxicas then group kiss.

Key is held for forarms and she dropkicks Flam. Ade's team gets offense in and they flip Jada into a sunset bomb on Mara. Hiedra takes a double 619 for 2. Flammer is tripped by Key then has her head banged off the buckles. Flam kicks the rope into Key's crotch then hits a hard corner dropkick on her.

Jada handsprings and backflips into a double stunner. Jada topes but is caught. Ade hits a top rope plancha on 2 people outside. Flam backrolls Key. Key then bridge pins her and has a wardrobe malfunction during it to win.

Thoughts: I liked it. The faces were faces and the heels were decent heels. Not everything was super clean but it wasn't like it was botched. Jada and Adelicious were good faces here and they ended this at the right time.

Las Toxicas beat up the faces after and a 6-girl brawl breaks out.

Keyra does a promo on Flammer. She says she's the queen of strong and the queen of The Crash. She says she can be Queen of Queens again and said she didn't lose her title the first time.

Hijo Del Vikingo and Pagano vs D'Luxe and OrĂ¡culo

Ora is in the red. Vik has Pagano's facepaint on half his face.

Vik and D go at it. Vik boots him out of the corner then flips into a pose. Vik corkscrew headscissors him out. Ora superkicks Vik. Pag misses an elbow drop on Ora then pumping knees him. Pag does a running neckbreaker. Ora hits a flying knee on Vik and Pagp unches Ora. The four trade shots.

Ora and D are sent out but get back in before being dove on. Vik takes a corner lariat. Vik is swept on the apron and is basement dropkicked out. Ora stalls on the apron.

Pag is spinebustered. Ora asai moonsaults Pag for 2. D chairs Vik and Pag in the gut. Pag's head is banged off a board. Vik is dropped gut first on the apron. Pag and Vik get chaired right in the head. Ora and D then take chairs. Pag and Vik then do near stereo tilt-a-whirl backbreakers. Pag and Vik then do dives outside.

We go to break and return. D seems to have hurt his arm or hand. D is double teamed. D is sat on the top rope and Pag 2nd rope spanish flies him. Vik top rope frogsplashes D for 2. Pag short arm clotheslines Ora. Vik swinging side slams Ora for 2.

Pag tiger feints on the ropes and back elbows D. Pag back elbows D. Pag somewhat hits a top rope elbow drop for 2. Ora os cutters Pag for 2. Vik top rope dropkicks Ora then corner meteora's him for 2.
D jay drillers Vik for 2. Pag and D collide in mid air. Ora and Vik then hit stereo top rope splashes for 2. Vik poisonrana's Ora for 2 when the ref is pulled out by D on the pin attempt. Pag tries to tope con hilo D through a board but mostly just cannonballs himself through it.

Ora is stuck on the 2nd rope. Vik top rope double stomps him while he's there. Vik then wins.

Thoughts: It wasn't that good. Pag can't move that well and it was an indy style match. I didn't like the jay driller not meaning that much. They didn't go too long though which helped it. I think D hurt his hand/arm during this.

Mecha Wolf does a promo. He says he's been in every major company but still has to keep knocking on the door to get it opened. He says everyone knows who he is but at AAA, they haven't realized who Mecha Wolf is. He says he's the best wrestler to come out of Puerto Rico. He says the greats take opportunities and don't wait for them. He says he will take them with his hands and squeeze AAA by the neck until he gets what he wants. He says the rudos and technicos will fall.

Overall thoughts: I thought it was an easy show to get through and with youtube having subtitles, it made it even easier. I liked the show as whole. The opener and women's match was fine. The main was a typical AAA indy style match with no real rules, Pagano not moving so well and some flying. I'd give this a 5 out of 10 as it was fine but nothing must see.

They lock up and let go. They lock up again. Jody side headlocks her. Evans back elbows her then Jody flying headscissors her. Jody hits lariats in the corner. Jody dropkicks her out. Jody goes for a dive but is caught (and it's botched). Evans drops her against the apron edge.

Jody codebreakers her then hits an impressive F-5 for the win.

Thoughts:
The crowd really liked it but I didn't think it was that big. They botched the spot where Jody got caught on the dive then they botched the spot where she was sent into the apron after. I liked Jody's F-5 here but not much else.

Overall thoughts: There was only one new match and one new interview here. Neither were that good and I wouldn't recommend this.

NWA Powerrr 4/29/2025

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/nwa-powerrr-562026.html

Jay Bradley vs. Wrecking Ball Legursky

Jay pushes Ball. Ball offers a handshake and Jay slaps the hand away. Jay backs him up in the corner then slaps him. Ball hits punches on Jay. Jay knees him in the gut then Ball shoulders him over. Ball atomic drops him. Jay is stuck between the ropes and Ball hits him, knocking him back and forth.

Ball knocks him out of the ring. Jay facekicks Ball off the apron. Ball's head is banged off the apron. Jay hits shots on him outside.

Jay punches Ball in the ring and Ball tries to hulk up. Jay ddt's him. Jay foot slaps him then clubs on him. Jay knees him in the face. Jay misses a knee drop. They trade punches then punch each other at the same time. Both go down.

Ball hits a bodyblock and slams him. Ball corner splashes him then hits a hip attack in the corner. Jay backdrops him. Jay tries to pin him with his feet on the ropes but is caught. Jay misses a vader bomb elbow drop. Ball shoulders him over for the win.

Thoughts:
I liked the work mostly (they had some weak shots here) but I didn't get the logic. These two are partners usually and Jay was beating him up like he had wronged him somehow. They definitely seemed to push that these two were done as partners which is news. It was all heavyweight wrestling otherwise.

We get various wrestlers pushing for candidates for the President of the Territories.

NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title #1 Contendership Jax Dane Memorial Tournament Semi Final Match - Zyon vs. Colby Corino

Zy takes him down when he's hammerlocked. CC spins around on the mat and wristlocks him. Zy top wristlocks him. CC side headlock takerovers him. CC armdrags him. CC olympic slams him then does an inverted senton onto him.

Zy fist drops him. Zy stomps on him. Zy misses an elbow drop. CC hits forearms and chops. CC spinning forearms him. CC hits Vaquer's SVB for 2. CC misses a top rope swanton. Austin Idol gives Zyon some substance in is hand. Zy rakes CC's eyes with it. Zy michinoku drivers him for 2. CC backrolls him and wins.

Thoughts: I don't like this "substance" gimmick. You can't see it at all so it loses it's effect. Powder is a lot better. CC did a decent job as a face but it was an average match overall. The substance spot didn't help things.

We get more pitches for the President of the Territories.

Joe Galli has an interview with Pastor C-Lo and Kenzie Paige for the President of the Territories. Joe says these two are the top two in voting so far. C-Lo says he has a great vision for the territories. He says he wants territories in all 50 states and wants them to be the burning bush. Joe asks how he will do it. C-Lo says they will talk to all the people and says he will make sure they know there's no one else worth voting for. He says the NWA is like Genesis.

Kenzie is asked. She says she's winning and said she never met a pastor she trusted. She says she's a double champ but she's just one of the fans. She says bigger paydays for everyone and says she doesn't care where it comes from. Joe asks where will the money come from? Kenzie says she will do sponsorships. She says she will have indy bands collab with Billy Corgan. She says Billy can give the money from those collabs to her.

C-Lo says he will work on being one people and says they will do anything and everything. Joe then cuts it off and says we aren't getting real answers.

Joe Cazana does his pitch for President of the Territories.

Kylie Paige and Hunter are washing cars at her house. She says she's a passionate person. She rips Hunter for not being able to beat Natalia Markova. She says he can't even beat a girl. She says she has his back against Bryan Idol. He says he will beat Idol in places we've never even heard of.

Blunt Force Trauma (Damage and Carnage) vs EC3 and Pretty Boy Smooth

Here's a random one.

EC is double teamed to start. Carn chokes him on the ropes then bangs his head off the buckles. Carn misses a splash and takes a thesz press. PB gets in and facekicks Damage. PB slams and legdrops Carn.

Damage powerslams EC. We go to break and Kenzie does her pitch for President of the Territories. We return. EC takes corner attacks. Damage spinebusters EC and stomps him. Damage does a traphezus hold on EC. EC jawbreakers Damage.

Carn gets in and trap holds EC. EC grabs Carn like a ddt but trips him backwards. PB gets in and shoulders over Carn. PB hits a corner splash. PB sto's Carn then slams Damage on him. PB throws EC into a cutter. Aron Stevens pulls PB's neck down over the top rope.

Carnage dropkicks EC. PB forearms Carnage. PC pulls Damage's throat down over the top and EC pins Damage to win.

Thoughts:
It was a shorter one and definitely somewhat of an upset. The match was average as they didn't have a lot of big spots or enough time.

Thom Lattimer talks. He says he's not done with Aron Stevens. He says Aron tried to ruin his career and life. He says the worst thing he could have done was ruin his marriage. He says him and his wife know what Aron is like. He says he beat one of Aron's guys and he needs to get his hands on him. He says he's a leader. He says you gotta clean up when there's a mess and said Aron made a mess. He says you gotta put on the gloves and clean the dishes and says Aron is the dishes. He says he will put the gloves on and shove his fist down his throat.

Thoughts: It's been a long time and we still have no idea how Aron tried to blackmail Thom. This is about as close as we are probably getting to finding out.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual random episode of Powerrr. The Fixers are seemingly done and we have no idea why. Zyon tried to use some liquid substance we couldn't see on Colby, but he ended up losing anyway. We got lots of pitches for President of The Territories. The main was short and random. We also maybe got some clarity on whatever Aron tried to blackball Thom with, but not much. Like always, it wasn't that good and I'd only give it a 4 out of 10 overall.

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/aew-dynamite-572025.html

Kenny Omega, Kevin Knight, Mark Briscoe & Mike Bailey vs. The Elite (Kazuchika Okada, Matthew Jackson & Nicholas Jackson) & Ricochet

If someone can explain to me why the 8-man a few weeks ago with AR was worth $400k but this wasn't, I'd love to know. Jack Perry is still not here with his buddies for unknown reasons.

Kenny and Okada go at it. Okada then tags out and the heels hit the faces when they don't expect it. Kenny takes a group beating. Nick (dark pants) eye pokes Kenny then walks up the buckles and corkscrew flips down with an armdrag. Nick armdrags Kenny. Matt (lighter pants) bangs Kenny's arm over his shoulder. Then they do that spot twice more. Matt isn't paying attention and ends up doing it to Ric.

Ric pushes Matt and is hit in the head. Kenny hits Ric in the head then atomic drops him into Matt. The faces do corner shots on Ric. KK splashes Ric then Ric takes a double hiptoss into double cartwheels and dropkicks.

Ric jawbreakers Mark. Mark hits forearms on Nick then facekicks him. Everyone then misses elbow drops in a stupid comedy spot then they all stand off. They all then pair off and fight. Mark and Mike do crane kicks together.

We go to PiP break and return. Mike misses a shot and Ric hits a triple corner shot on opponents. Ric and Matt do stereo suplexes and kip ups. Ric then has Matt pretend Matt's hair is his. The heels all try stereo brainbusters but then all get suplexed together. The faces then do stereo plancha's.

KK corner lariats Okada. Mike hits a top rope dropkick on Okada. KK lariats Nick. KK hurricanrana's Nick while he's on the 2nd rope. KK slams Nick. KK goes for a standing splash but Nick gets his knees up. Kenny comes in and hits The Bucks. Okada ducks him. Kenny is superkicked by Matt. Kenny is bridged on the apron. Mike is bridged on the 2nd rope. Ric and Nick then hit flips onto both of them.

Omega flipso ut of the corner and goes for the tag but his partners are pulled down. Matt ddt's Kenny. Kenny headbusters Ric. Mark hits shots on The Bucks. Mark back enzugiri's Matt. Okada takes a high/low. Mike triangle moonsaults Rico outside then KK tope con hilos over the top. Mark fisherman busters Okada.

Okada over the back neckbreakers Mark on the knee. Okada top rope elbow drops Mark. Mike spin kicks Okada. Mike gets superkicked by Nick. KK hits a double pele kick on The Bucks. Ric M. Bison stomps KK. Okada shotgun dropkicks Mark in the corner.

Kenny and Okada trade forearms. Kenny dragon suplexes Okada. Okada dropkicks Kenny. We get double top rope dropkicks into double tombstones. Mark ducks an EVP trigger. Ric is back body dropped onto The Bucks outside. Mark jay drillers Okada for 2.

Ric is on Mike's shoulders on the apron. He is dropkicked by KK and flipped onto his buddies outside. Kenny tope con hilos outside. Okada rainmakers Mark and wins.

Thoughts:
I didn't like it. This was definitely a Toryumon/Michinoku Pro tribute at times. They had to throw comedy in there because this is what these guys do. This went close to 30 minutes despite being the opener which also is a big no-no for me as it gets you tired out right from the start. It was mostly all flying, comedy and various big spots as you would expect.

The Hurt Syndicate are in the back. Some people sing their song at them. MVP says it's fun to say right? He then says it's more fun when you actually do it. The Hurt's then beat up those people. MVP asks Bobby if we can address the elephant in the room. Shelton says he was skeptical of MJF too but says he's funny and he knows Bobby likes that car. MVP says MJF can be beneficial to them and says he has never let them down before. MVP says if MJF screws them over, they will hurt him like he has never been hurt before. They then bump forearms over it so it seems like it's set.

The Ops (Katsuyori Shibata, Powerhouse Hobbs & Samoa Joe) vs Myles Hawkins, Nick Comoroto & Rhett Titus

Joe wristlocks Rhett. Rhett chops him, Joe no sells it then chops him. Joe hits jabs then stomps in the corner. Joe running back elbows Rhett in the corner then back enzugiri's him.

KS hits shots on Rhett. KS and Nick trade chops. KS pump kicks Nick down. KS kicks Myles in the back. Hobbs powerslams Myles. Hobbs hits corner lariats on Myles then short arm lariats him. Hobbs spinebusters Myles and wins.

Thoughts: It was all squash as expected and not much else.

The Death Riders jump The Ops after. Hobbs catches Yuta outside and pounds on him. CC running euros Hobbs. Joe puts Mox to sleep on the stage. CC hits a neutralizer on KS on the bottom of a chair.

Joe gets on the mic after. He says Mox likes to act like a boss but acts like a b!tch then it's time to throw hands. Joe says challenges Mox to a cage match.

Renee does a sitdown interview with Mercedes Mone. Mone says she was on a global mission and is now a global champ. Mone says she won her first title at Double or Nothing and asks why Renee thinks things will be different? Renee says Jamie Hayter is bigger and stronger than her and asks if she's underestimating her. Mone says she's undefeated and wants to talk about her record. Mone says she's the beaten the best women all over the globe and is the best and greatest.

She says she changes the game every time she gets in. She says Jamie looks like a Scooby Doo cartoon and says a champ can't look like that.

The Patriarchy are interviewed. Jay Lethal interrupts. He says he's here to talk to the champ when Christian asks what he wants. Jay says Nick is young and has a lot to learn and prove. He tells him to prove something tonight and face him. Nick says no and Christian says Nick accepts. Christian tells him to get his head in the game if he wants to be a champ.

AEW Women's Title Eliminator - Toni Storm vs Miyu Yamashita

This is beyond random. Miyu hasn't appeared in AEW since her disaster of a match with Thunder Rosa a few years ago. How she earned this over others is unknown.

Miyu side headlocks Toni. Toni wristlocks her. Miyu reverses it and hits kicks to the leg. Miyu knees Toni in the gut. Toni thesz presses her and hits mounted shots. Toni backbreakers her then suplexes her.

Miyu's kick on the apron is blocked and she's swung down onto the apron. Toni misses a hip attack on the apron. Miyu then kicks Toni in the butt as her butt hangs over the bottom rope. Luther stomps Miyu then Miyu kicks Luther. Miyu kicks Toni in the butt again.

We go to PiP break and return. Miyu superkicks her. Toni blocks a high kick and germans her. Miyu spinning high kicks her then gets a 2 count on her. Tony sky highs her for 2 then fisherman suplexes her. Miyu hits an AA then buzzsaw kicks her in the shoulder. Toni germans her. Toni corner hip attacks her then hits a storm zero for the win.

Thoughts: Toni won as expected here which was no surprise. It was fine but I don't know what it really accomplished except being a way to get Toni in the ring on TV.

Mercedes Mone comes out on the stage. She tells the fans to shut up and say hello to your CEO. Mone says she's coming for the AEW Women's Title when she beats Hayter and wins The Owen. Jamie Hayter comes out. Mone has her shot blocked and is hit. Mone then runs away in heels.

The Don Callis Family is interviewed. Don says he likes making history. He said Josh and Takeshita did that last week by having one of best tag matches he ever saw. He said he loved seeing them put down Will and Brody last week. He says they will make history again this week as Kyle dismantles Adam Page. Don says Kyle will then put to rest the legend of Will Ospreay. Kyle says he will take the AEW Title and says we will have no choice but to say his full name.

The Hurt Syndicate come out. MVP says they have been discussing adding a 4th member to their ranks. MVP says that prospect must receive a unanimous 3 thumbs up. He says we will try this one more time and calls out MJF.

MJF comes out. MJF asks to give it up for Shelton and how great he is. He says MVP is a legend and he loves him. He doesn't have anything great to say about Lashley. Shelton and MVP give the thumbs up. Bobby teases doing it but then gives MJF the thumbs down. MJF says he's sick of Bobby's sh!t. He asks what Bobby wants. He says he's given him women, cars and helped him win matches. He says how about some rogaine? He calls him a big, bald, son of a b!tch. Bobby grabs MJF and says, "we hurt people". He says if you want to impress him, hurt somebody. MJF says Bobby made his point.

Thoughts:
They made MJF look bad here by getting punked by Bobby with ease and since he's already insulting Bobby, it's really hard to see how he joins this group. We'll see where it goes though...

We get a video on Stokeley Hathaway and FTR. Stoke says they proved anyone who gets in their way will get stopped. Stoke says FTR wants to solidify their legacy and in back their AEW Tag Titles.

ROH Television Title - Nick Wayne (c) vs Jay Lethal

Here's another random one. Jay side headlock takeovers Nick. Nick headscissors him then they repeat the spot a few times. Nick forearms him. Jay chops up Nick. Jay hits armdrags. Jay hiptosses him and does a cartwheel basement dropkick. Jay topes Nick. Nick hurricanrana's him on the floor. Jay is sent into the steps.

We go to break and return. Jay back elbows him then rolls him up for 2. Jay backslides him then la magistral's him for 2. Jay hits a a backbreaker + flatliner for 2. They go up top. Jay goes for a top rope elbow drop but Nick get a 2 count on him. Jay dragon screws him and Nick cradles him for 2.

Jay handsprings and is rolled up for 2. Jay is sent into the 2nd buckle. Nick high kicks him and fisherman busters him for the win.

Thoughts:
Nick won as expected here. It was just average and not much of note. I'm not sure why we had to see this.

Christian puts the belt around Nick's waist after. The Patriarchy clap for Nick.

Owen Hart Foundation 2025 Men's Tournament Semi Final Match - Adam Page vs. Kyle Fletcher

Kyle backs him up in the corner and piefaces him. Kyle wristlocks him. Page knocks him back with a chop. Kyle stalls outside. Kyle side headlocks him. Kyle dances over top him then Page spanks him. Page hits shots on Kyle. Page facekicks Kyle. Kyle then slides out. Page lariats Kyle over the timekeeper's rail.

We go to PiP break and return. Kyle's back is busted open after being sent into the rails. Kyle hits kicks on a downed Page. Page catches a kick then hits punches. Page facekicks him. Kyle gets flipped on a lariat.

Page back body drops him. Page hits a corner lariat then sliding lariats him. Page catches him in the air and hits a death valley driver for 2. Page hits corner lariats. Page fallaway slams him. Page hits a springboard lariat. Kyle hits kicks on the apron. Kyle brainbusters him on the apron. Page moonsaults off the rail onto him and tombstones him outside.

We go to PiP break and return. Page superplexes him. Kyle half-nelson suplexes him. Page pop-up sit-out powerbombs him for 2. Page hits deadeye for 2. Kyle gets his feet up on Page's top rope moonsault. Kyle does a sitout powerbomb for 2. Page backrolls Kyle for 2. Kyle flying kicks Page. Page hits deadeye on Kyle on the apron. Page top rope moonsaults him outside. Page goes for a buckshot. Kyle shoves the ref and low blows Page. Kyle brainbusters Page for 2.

Kyle corner facekicks Page. They fight on the buckles. Page buckshot lariats Kyle twice and wins.

Thoughts:
I didn't like this. Kyle should have been DQ'd for shoving the ref. They did way too much here with brainbusters on the apron and tombstones on the floor not meaning a single thing. That's the norm though with Kyle and I wasn't shocked by it.

Overall thoughts: It was wrestling heavy as has been the case lately. I didn't like the opener as they goofed around a lot and it went too long. We had a squash. Miyu somehow got a title shot eliminator and lost as expected. They seemed to put the kibosh on MJF joining The Hurt Syndicate but I'm sure it will go on. Nick/Jay was random and average. I didn't like the main was they did too much. I'd give it a 4 out of 10 as it had the usual AEW issues with comedy, totally random matches and people doing way too much.

WWE Evolve 4/30/2025

WWE Evolve 4/30/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/04/wwe-evolve-4232025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/05/wwe-evolve-572025.html

We are still at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL. Robert Stone and Pete Rosenberg are on commentary.

Kylie Rae talks. She says the teddy bear Wendy gave Zara was her son's teddy bear. She says it's been missing for weeks and she doesn't know how she got it. She says this has gone too far and it ends tonight.

Zayda Steel vs Layla Diggs

LD has Aria Bennett with her. Zay has Bryce Donovan with her. They lock up. LD slips out of a waistlock. Zay throws her over by the arm and armlocks her. LD throws her over the arm then armdrags her. LD hits another armdrag then forward cartwheel spears her. LD slingshots over her then spinning slams her. LD standing moonsaults her for 2.

They each hit forearms. Zay's arm is banged off LD's shoulder. Zay stomps on her. Zay codebreakers her over the 2nd rope for 2. Zay slaps her in the corner. LD takes her down and pounds on her. LD is tripped into the 2nd buckle and Zay double stomps her back for 2. Zay collar's her and LD hiptosses her.

LD hits shots to the gut then hits leg lariats. LD double underhook suplexes her for 2. LD misses a forward cartwheel. Zay headscissors her into a ddt and wins.

Thoughts: Diggs was a lot more impressive than Zay was here. I don't think she's awful but I don't see what WWE sees in Zay. Zay didn't hit her finisher clean here. It was just average but Diggs was a decent face.

TNT (Tyson Dupont and Tyriek Igwe) vs Aaron Rourke and Freedom Ramsey

They called TD and Igwe "TNT" here so we will assume that's their name now. AR Gets a big entrance here. I think he and Freedom Ramsey are both making their WWE Evolve TV debuts here.

AR and Igwe lock up. AR slips out of a side headlock. Igwe side headlocks him again then shoulders him over. AR slaps him in the butt then slides out. Freedom gets in and is thrown off of Igwe.

Igwe slams Freedom. Freedom front facelocks TD. TD takes a double dropkick. AR goes up and over Igwe then shotgun dropkicks him in the corner. AR forward cartwheel double chops him. Igwe shoulders him over.

Igwe hits forearms then shoulderbreakers him. TD jumping lariats Ar in the corner. TD corner lariats AR. AR kicks him off the ropes. AR step up enzugiri's TD. Freedom comes in and hits a nice lariat on Igwe. He flying knees him then atomic drops him. Freedom leg lariats him then facebusters TD.

Freedom comes off the 2nd rope and is forearmed by Igwe. Freedom takes a jumping press + backdrop and is pinned.

Thoughts:
I didn't like AR and Freedom losing in their debuts here. Igwe and Dupont looked solid as always though are such an explosive team. I don't really think AR is gonna work but he has some agility. Freedom is a bit goofy but in a likeable way.

Stevie Turner has a Town Hall Major Announcement next week. I guess it's for the Evolve titles but who knows.

Kylie Rae vs Wendy Cho

Choo takes her down and side headlocks her. She then takes her over. Choo wristlocks her. Rae headflips out. Rae rolls her with a wristlock. Choo snapmares her then is rolled up for 2.

Choo bangs Rae's head off the buckles then twists her neck with her feet. Rae side headlocks her. Rae shoulders her over. Rae hits a big forearm. Rae armdrags her off a hiptoss then superkicks her. Rae is sent into the post. We go to break and return.

Rae boots her out of the corner. Choo headbutts her then Rae russian legsweeps her. They trade shots. Rae lariats her then hits a corner forearm. Rae 2nd rope dropkicks her. Rae does a la mistica into a crossface. Rae superkicks her.

Rae gets stuck up top. Choo overhead superplexes her down. Choo then brainbusters her for 2. Choo rips up the teddy bear that belongs to Rae's son. Rae yells and hits forearms. Rae hits mounted forearms. Rae spinning forearms her. Rae gets upset about the bear, Choo does her dirtnap submission from behind and puts her to sleep.

Thoughts: I wasn't a big fan of it. They wrestled it like a normal match until the teddy bear spot, then Rae finally hyped up and got mad. Rae should have been going for the bear all match and should have been attacking her out of the gate. They had a lot of story to work with here and didn't get as much out of it as they should have.

Choo then paints like a frown on Rae's face after.

Chuey Martinez talks to Kali Armstrong. He congratulates her on winning the four way two weeks ago. Kali says that's why she's here. she says she doesn't want anyone to tell her nothing when she gets the title. She said she moved her trophy aside for the Evolve title. She says the title is her future. She says she sees herself evolving and says the girls better look out as she gets more opportunities. She says she wants to hold the title so she can be the example. She tells everyone to think big and crazy and go for it. She says as her fire keeps going, she will burn this place down.

Keanu Carver and Harlem Lewis vs Swipe Right (Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor)

Swipe Right has Zayda, Drake and Bryce with them.

HL pushes Brad back. KC tags himself in. KC pulls down Smokes off the lock-up then talks trash to HL. HL tags himself in. Brad clubs on HL then HL shoulders him over.

Brad side headlocks KC and is shouldered over. HL slams Brad. KC tags himself in. KC hits a hard shot to Brad's gut. HL slaps KC's chest to tag himself in. KC and HL go face to face and argue. Brad pushes them, away to tag out. Brad and Smokes are then shouldered over. KC world's strongest slams Brad on the apron while KC gorilla press throws Smokes.

HL lariats Brad over the top. HL takes a boot to the face and misses a corner spear. Smokes enzugiri's HL in the corner for 1. Smokes pounds on HL. Brad hits mounted shots on HL. HL gets stomped on by Swipe Right. HL hits a double suplex on Swipe Right.

KC double lariats his opponents and hits a backbreaker on Brad. KC pops up Brad then hits a big fallaway slam. Smokes grabs KC. KC bridges him on the ropes and hits a big forearm. KC then hits a rare double pounce. HL tags himself in. He hits a jackhammer and KC twisting slams Smokes. KC and HL win.

Thoughts: The booking to get here was silly. KC and HL hate each other so they made them tag partners. That didn't make any sense. The big guys dominated as expected but I don't like them destroying the top faction like this even though they should have.

The big guys argue after and refs separate them.

Stevie Turner says that was impressive in the back. Gallus walk in. They say they want next. Stevie asks if they want Swipe Right? Joe says he wants Keanu and Harlem. That should be good.

Overall thoughts: The opener was average and the 2nd match was fine. I didn't care for Rae/Choo. The main made sense wrestling wise but it was a burial for Swipe Right and that's not a good thing. I believe Rourke and Freedom made their WWE TV debuts here. I'd give the episode as a 4 out of 10 as it had issues and could have been better. I wouldn't recommend this.
