Note - R-Truth and Carlito were fired over the weekend. Truth getting fired was such a shocker and just a stupid decision. Whatever Truth was getting, he deserved double. He's a great face that can be pulled into almost any situation, inside or outside of the ring and add positively to it. I think he also deserved better with how long his tenure was and how much he gave to the company. Carlito did okay with the little he was given but I guess they didn't have anything else for him.

We are in Tulsa, OK. Michael Cole and Pat McAfee are on commentary.

We see various wrestlers arrive.

We see Pat and Cole betting on who would win the NBA Playoff game and Cole unveils an Indiana Pacers jersey.

CM Punk comes out. Punk makes basketball puns. Punk says he's a 2x MITB winner and wants to do it the 3rd time. He says it's the summer of Punk and it's time he has gold around his waist. He says it's business when he wins MITB and faces Jey Uso. He says it may be more personal if he faces John Cena. He says Cena sold his soul to a bald fraud goof. He says he has always had Cena's number and will come pick the bones. He says it's time he became champ and says he will see us after MITB qualifying tonight.

Sami Zayn comes out. Punk says he usually hates getting interrupted but he's not mad about it with Sami. Sami said he heard Punk speak for the first time in a while about becoming champ. Sami said he wants to become champ too. He says he can't do it through MITB due to Seth's crew. Sami says Punk must win tonight.

Sami says Punk must not think of Seth's crew as him and Jey will take care of them. Sami says he knows Punk is thinking of him and says he knows Seth is thinking of Punk. Sami says this place is over if Seth wins and will be a place him and Punk won't like. Sami says he needs Punk to win tonight. Sami says if Punk wins and wins the title, they will be face to face in the ring again and will have a very different conversation. Punk says he looks forward to it.

Roxanne Perez talks to Liv and Raquel in the back. Liv says RP has been interrupting them and says to stay out of the way if she wants to help. Liv runs into Iyo Sky. She says she will be a 2x MITB winner and will cash in the title. Iyo says it's not gonna happen and Liv says watch me.

We get a Stephanie Vaquer package that cuts off Cole. She says wrestling is who she is. She said she discovered WWE at age 10. She says she's the first South American champ in WWE. She says The Dark Angel has arrived and she will do what she does - dominate.

Women's MITB Qualifier - Liv Morgan vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Ivy Nile

I can tell you that Ivy has 0 chance of winning this.

SV is double teamed. Ivy shoulders Liv over. SV headbutts Li then hits a springboard dobule crossbody. SV sunset flips Ivy then rolls her into a Liv PK. SV backdrops Liv then headscissors bangs Liv's head off the mat. SV then does it to Ivy.

Liv hits 3 amigos and suplexes SV onto Ivy. Liv hits backsplashes on her opponents in the corner. Ivy flying kicks Liv in the corner. Ivy does a double german on both opponents. We go to break and return. SV hits soul foot on Ivy then corner lariats her. SV corner meteora's Liv. SV ragon screws Ivy while she's on the 2nd rope for 2. SV and Liv trade forearms. SV enzugiri's her. We get a tower of doom spot with Ivy doing the powerbombing for 2. SV rolls Ivy into a bridge for 2.

Liv hits a double diving codebreaker for 2. Liv hits kicks on Ivy. Liv goes for oblivion but SV backslides her. Liv codebreakers SV then hits her oblivion. Ivy throws Liv out and gets a 2 count on SV.

Liv bangs Ivy's head off the apron and Liv is sent into the steps. SV hits the SVB backbreaker on Ivy and wins.

Thoughts: It went as expected here with Ivy losing. It was fine but it was your usual 3-way and nothing you'd remember. SV now has a problem though as she will have to work twice on Saturday and hopefully can get through both matches.

AJ Styles is in the back. Paul Heyman comes up to him and says he has a gift for him. Paul says the IC Title needs a phenomenal champ like AJ. He tries to talk AJ out of MITB, saying it's too much. He says to forget MITB and focus on the IC Title. He says to leave MITB to Seth Rollins.

AJ says if Paul is tired of chasing the meal ticket. He says he looks exhausted. AJ says he will get back to Dom and the IC Title. He says Paul knows he doesn't respond well to threats and says that's what that was. AJ says if you try to push him out, he will push back. He tells him to tell Seth he knows all about his plan. He says everybody's got a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

Rusev does a video. He said Sheamus looked disappointed in him. He says he's doing the good work and fixing the weak while Sheamus did nothing. He said Sheamus helped a stranger last week but didn't help him and let him vanish. He says Sheamus has a body of granite but a neck of sand. He says it'll be an honor to send him home and says to stay out of his way or he will go home.

Sheamus talks to Tozawa, Natalya and Dupri. Sheamus says Tozawa stood up to the bully last week. Sheamus says there's something real about Alpha Academy and says Dupri and Nat should form a tag team. Nat says Dupri impressed her a lot lately.

Sheamu is then interviewed. He says him and Rusev go way back but there's only so long he can stand back and do nothing. he said Rusev's career imploded due to bad decision and says his post-WWE career only lasted 24 hours. He says someone needs to put manners on Rusev before he goes too far and says that's him. He says he bullies bullies.

The Judgment Day (Finn Balor and JD McDonaugh) vs The War Raiders (Ivar and Erik)

The New Day are on commentary. Erik blocks a headlock takeover from Finn then shoulders him over. Finn rams Erik into the corner and hits corner spears. JD foot chokes Erik. JD hits corner spears on Erik.

JD misses a corner splash and Ivar gets in. Ivar back body drops JD then side slams him. Ivar handspring kicks Finn off the apron. JD is then back body dropped over the top and somehow ends up half on the commentary table. Finn is slammed on JD then Ivar is slammed onto JD. The Raiders tease throwing their opponents into The New Day. The New Day get mad, get up and get ejected by the ref.

We go to break and return.JD snapmares Ivar then Finn slingshot stomps Ivar. JD then seated springboard moonsaults Ivar. JD hits forearms on Ivar. JD facekicks him then Ivar spinning slams him. Erik comes in and knocks over the heels. Erik overhead suplexes Finn and JD. Erik lariats JD over the top. Erik pop-up headbutts Finn then running knees him for 2.

Finn final cuts Ivar for 2. JD asai moonsaults Erik outside. Ivar butt drops Finn out of the corner then spinning high kicks JD. Ivar corner la silla's Finn. Ivar gets on the ropes and Roxanne Perez distracts Ivar. JD bangs Ivar's head off the post. Finn hits a top rope double stomp on Ivar and wins.

Thoughts: It was a decent match here with lots of flying around. Perez getting involved furthers that story and they got The New Day involved as well here.

Becky Lynch says she has been back 6 weeks and Lyra cost her already. She says Lyra doesn't understand what greatness is and will never achieve it. She says Lyra has forgotten everything she has done for her. She says she became double champ because of her and had the best match of her career because of her. Becky says she's the best thing that ever happened to her. She says when she wins, Lyra will have to hold up the same hand that held her down.

Stephane Vaquer is interviewed. She said she feels great and talks in her language. Rhea Ripley comes up to her. She shakes her hand and gets a big pop.

Lyra Valkyria comes out to talk. She says Becky has big words from her safe spot in the back. She tells her to come out so she can say things to her face. Becky Lynch comes out. Lyra tells her to shut up and said she just showed the world she is delusional. She says her downfall needs to be studied. She says she made it to the top being a good person and fell because she stopped being one.

Lyra says she has changed and needed to get angry. She said she unlocked a version of her that wants to destroy her. She says she will beat the crap out of her at MITB. She says she will never get to poison what it means to be women's IC champ.

Lyra said she didn't want to hurt her and wanted to make her better. She says what will hurt her worse is when she has to raise her hand. Lyra says they should go now and Becky says she doesn't fight in Tulsa. Lyra then goes after Becky and hits her.

They fight in the entrance and security breaks it up. 

Penta does a video but it's hard to understand and half in Spanish. He says MITB is his destiny. 

Sami Zayn and Jey Uso vs Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed

BB = Bron Breakker

BB takes down Jey and hits corner spears. Jey hits a corner enzugiri for 2. BB hits a fast running lariat on Jey. We go to break and return. Reed and Sami hit shots in the corner. BB rakes Sami's eyes.

Sami takes corner attacks and BB jumping knees Sami for 2. Sami bites Reed's head then 2nd rope tornado ddt's him. Jey gets in and hits bad shots on Bron. Jey enzugiri's BB from the apron. BB then hits a fireman's carry gutbuster for 2.

BB runs into a Jey superkick for 2. Jey sleepers BB and grounds him. Reed breaks it up with a senton. Reed misses a splash on the apron on Sami. BB is thrown out. Sami plancha's out onto the heels but is caught. Jey then topes the three and knocks them over. Seth Rollins then comes out and curbstomps Jey to force a DQ.

Thoughts: What we got was fine but it was a shorter one with a DQ finish. The finish was pretty cheap here too.

Sami goes after Seth and is hit by Reed. Sami is put on the commentary table but Punk saves him with a chair. Punk and Seth stare down and Seth runs. 

The Judgment Day talk in the back. Liv complains about Perez to Finn. Finn says Perez is here to help. Finn says she's frustrated as things didn't go her way. Finn says Perez could win the Women's Title and bring it back to Judgment Day. Liv says she doesn't trust Perez and Finn says trust will come with time. Finn says they should have Perez be in Raquel's corner tonight. Liv says Finn should babysit her and says not to bring her out tonight. Dom tries to apologize for last week's failure with Finn and Finn says it's water under the bridge.

Raquel Rodriguez vs Kairi Sane

They lock up and Sane is pushed down. Sane waistlocks her and is spun around. We see RR's underwear then Sane headscissors her off the ropes. Sane stunners her. Sane hits a sliding forearm against the bottom rope. Sane is caught coming off the apron then is swung into the side of the apron. Liv then kicks Sane outside.

RR short arm lariats Sane then hits another lariat for 2. RR blocks a sunset flip then corner splashes her. RR hits back elbows. I think we get a "We Want Truth" chant. Sane is rammed chest first into the buckles. Sane is caught on a top rope crossbody then she ddt's RR off the suplex attempt. Sane hits forearms then axe kicks her. Sane hits shots to the chest. Sane dropkicks her in the gut then running headhunters her.

Sane hits a sliding forearm in the corner. Liv distracts Sane. Iyo Sky comes out and fights with Liv. RR's head is kicked into the post. Sane hits a top rope elbow drop and wins.

Thoughts: The idea was okay but the execution wasn't that great. The crowd wanted for R-Truth, who just got fired, and RR's thong showing all throughout didn't really help put her over as a monster. The finish was weak as well with Iyo and Liv getting involved.

Karrion Kross talks to Sami Zayn in the back. Sami asks why he keeps hovering over him. Kross says he thinks he's a liar. He says he could have been a champ 10x over if he did what he really had to do. He says he knows he's capable of doing bad things. He says Sami's not a good buy but a bad guy like the rest of them. Sami says he's wrong. Kross says he might be wrong but might be right too.

Jey Uso is in the locker room. Gunther sits down next to him. He says the World Title is personal to him. He says Jey is trying to be a great champ but because he refuses to think with his head, he will take the title. He says he's a great guy. He says he's not 100% with a week to go until his title match. He says he knows he will help out Punk if needed tonight. Gunther says the world champ has no business doing that. He thanks him as he knew he'd avenge him since he lost to him and said Jey's making it easy for him. Gunther says the party ends in a week.

Jey grabs him and says "Tap". He says he will see him next week.

Men's MITB Qualifier - CM Punk vs AJ Styles vs El Grande Americano

The ref changes Grande for weapons. Grande is double teamed to start then thrown out by both. Punk side headlocks AJ. AJ dropkicks him. Grande flying double chops him. Grande monkey flips him then headscissors AJ with Punk's help. Punk shining wizard's Grande. AJ goes into the post on a missed charge.

AJ goes for a springboard and is knocked down by Grande. Punk tries to unmask Grande. Punk is stunnered over the top rope. Grande cannonballs Punk off the apron then knocks AJ into the commentary table. We go to break and return. Grande takes a 2nd rope backdrop from AJ. Punk top rope elbow drops AJ. 

Punk neckbreakers him and limps. Punk hits a step up knee in the corner then hits AJ with one as well. Grande flying double chops Punk. Grande release germans AJ. Punk rolls through a top rope crossbody from Grande. AJ hits a ddt + reverse ddt combo on the two for 2.

Grande ankle locks AJ. Grande blocks a go to sleep with an ankle lock. AJ hits a styles clash on grande for 2. AJ hits strikes on Punk and Punk neckbreakers him for 2. Punk awkwardly escapes a styles clash. Punk and AJ try to bridge up together and Grande top rope moonsaults both for 2.

Grande misses a top rope moonsault. Punk hits a go to sleep on him. Bron Breakker comes out with Bronson Reed. They pull Punk out and beat him up. Jey Uso and Sami Zayn come out to help. AJ springboard crossbodies onto all of them. AJ springboards onto Grande but Grande headbutts him down and pins him.

Thoughts: Grande winning was an upset. It seemed like Punk got injured here as he was limping when he wasn't supposed to. Punk's injury issue messed up some of the match but it was alright.

Punk beats up Bron after. Seth comes out to beat up Punk. They hockey fight. Bron spears Punk. Sami beats up Bron from behind. Reed then nails Sami. Seth curbstomps Sami and Punk. Bron spears Jey then Seth curbstomps Jey. Reed hits a top rope splash on Jey twice. The heels then stand tall to end the show. 

Overall thoughts: Like the other Raw's as of late, it was filled with three ways which have a limit to how good they can be. Everything except Sane/Raquel was fine but nothing that great and Sane/Raquel just didn't hit due to interference, wardrobe issues and them just needing more in their match. There was a lot of interference and shenanigans all night long with 4 of the 5 matches having someone else be involved. I'd just give this one a 5 out of 10 as it was a pretty average Raw and I didn't think it was super exciting. I was glad to see the crowd let WWE have it for firing R-Truth, who legitimately was one of the best faces in the company.
