We are in Bakersfield, California.

We see various wrestlers arrive and Cody comes out of a freight elevator.

Seth Rollins' crew comes out to the ring. Seth does his usual lines and says he takes everything tomorrow. He says he will have total control when he wins MITB tomorrow. Seth says anyone who stands in their way suffers the same fate as the others who did. Seth says Roman never cared about the fans but he does. He says he will drag us into the future and there's no one who can stop him.

The Bloodline come out. Solo questions Seth saying that no one can stop them and no can stand in their way and says they are standing here right now. Solo says Seth has a little Bloodline going on and asks if Bron is Jey Uso and if Reed is Sami. Solo says they teamed in Wargames and Reed is now teaming with Seth. Solo tells Heyman it's a long time and no see.

Seth says to choose his next words carefully. Solo says he will win MITB and all Seth's power and control will be his. Seth asks if Solo is threatened by Bron being the future and Seth isn't. He also asks if he's afraid Reed can squash him like a bug with a snap of the fingers. Seth says Solo's family would rather stab him in the back than have his back. Seth dares Fatu to say something and tells him to take the mic from Solo.

Seth says Fatu's new nickname should be "Solo's b!tch". Seth says Solo is threatened by them but the only Fatu they are little threatened by is not Solo. Fatu and Bron go face to face. Seth then gets in Fatu's face.

Jimmy Uso attacks from behind and Solo separates Fatu and Mateo outside.

Jimmy Uso vs JC Mateo

JC misses a corner splash. Uso hits chops. Uso hits mounted corner punches. Uso enzugiri's him from the apron then top rope crossbodies him for 2. Uso chinlocks him. JC exploders him.

JC backdrops him then chinlocks him. JC back elbows him. JC chops him. JC is thrown out. Uso topes him outside. Uso is on the 2nd rope and JC dropkicks him down. We go to PiP break and return. Uso jawbreakers out of a chinlock. JC lariats him then standing moonsaults him.

JC hits a corner euro. Uso goes up and over then samoan drops him. Uso hits shots on JC then spinning enzugiri's him. Uso hits whisper in the wind on him for 2.JC hits a spinning backdrop. Uso spears him. Fatu gets on the apron, is hit by JC on accident and Uso pins him.

Thoughts: It was a little slow. The work was fine and all but it needed to be a bit more exciting. I was still okay with it though.

JC accuses Fatu of costing him the match after. JC tells Solo that Fatu is the problem.

Zelina Vega talks to Giulia in the back. She says she worked her @ss off to get the title. She says if Giulia wants a shot, she will have to pry it from her. Giulia says she likes her as she is confident.

Fatu runs into Damian Priest in the back. DP says at some point, he's coming for his US Title. Fatu says to line it up and says if he won't take care of his business, he's in the bakco f the line with the rest of the suckers.

Bakersfield Brawl - Piper Niven vs Zelina Vega

Piper pushes her back and eventually out. Vega grabs a kendo stick under the ring and hits Piper with it. Piper headbutts her. Vega hits her with the kendo stick and hits a codebreaker. Vega double stomps her back off the apron. Piper drops Vega face first on the apron. Piper then crossbodies her against the LED board ring skirt.

We go to break and return. Piper wraps a chain around Vega's mouth and curb stomps her into the buckle with the chain. Vega ddt's Piper on an open chair and Piper rolls out. Vega then moonsaults on Piper's crew outside. Vega 2nd rope code red's her for 2. Alba Fyre pulls Vega off the pin attempt. Green then pounds on her.

Piper michinoku drivers Vega on the floor. Giulia hits Piper's buddies off the rails with a double lariat. Giulia then hits Piper with a kendo stick, knocking her off the ropes and through a table with the help of Vega. Vega then wins.

Thoughts: Giulia saving Vega was odd. I didn't like the logic here as the heels could interfere at any point but let Piper get beaten up first. There wasn't a lot here but various spots.

Giulia holds up Vega's arm after and headbutts her. Giulia then northern lights bombs her and poses on her with the title.

Jey Uso and Cody Rhodes talk in the back. Jey says he feels banged up from Monday. Jimmy Uso comes in. He asks if Jey is okay and he wants to know why everyone keeps asking him that. Jey says they have to worry about what Logan and Cena have to say tonight and say to worry about tomorrow, tomorrow.

Aleister Black talks. He says LA Knight stole something from him. He says he wants to take LA's security and wants him 1v1. He says he will shake LA's hand and admit defeat if LA beats him.

LA Knight comes out and talks before his match. He says it's MITB season and says third time's the charm. He says he's not happy with that though. He talks about his MITB opponents. He calls Grande Americano, Seth Rollins and Solo dummies. He says Seth is gonna want to burn it down tomorrow but there's nothing hotter than LA Knight in LA. He says he will get burned by LA. He said he stole the pin from Aleister Black as he had to get the job done.  

Aleister Black vs LA Knight

Black rolls him up early then LA gets a pin attempt in. LA dodges a spin kick. They lock up and roll on the ropes. They shove each other. Black side headlock takeovers him. LA suplexes him for 1. LA bends over and is kicked. LA lariats him.

Black hits a jumping knee in the corner for 2. Black hits strikes in the corner then suplexes him for 2. Black legsweeps him then sliding knees him in the side of the head. Black goes on the 2nd rope, LA knocks him over the top and both go out. 

We go to break and return. Black 2nd rope sunset flips him then hits a high kick and an asai moonsault for 2. Black misses a corner charge and takes a jumping neckbreaker. LA slams him. LA rolls him up for 2. They trade shots. Black high kicks him then facekicks him. LA hits a burning hammer and Black rolls out. Seth Rollins then comes out and curbstomps LA for the DQ.

Thoughts: They matched up a little better than I thought but still had some sloppy sections. There was a lot of dodging moves here. I was wondering who would lose here since neither needed to lose and we got a DQ which stopped that.

Black gets in Seth's face after then he is speared by Bron and thrown out. Reed sentons LA and Bron spears LA.

Nick Aldis and Adam Pearce do a video together. They say King and Queen of the Ring starts next week and we have an opening round with 4-ways. They say the finals take place at Night of Champions and say the winners get title shots at Summerslam.

Byron Saxton interviews Jade Cargill. Jade says it feel great to compete in Queen of the Ring. She says she can't wait to tear through the tournament and will be the next Queen of the Ring. She says she's not asking for gold at Summerslam, she's taking it. Bryon asks where things are between Jade and Bianca.

Charlotte Flair comes in. She says salt and sugar look the same so choose your friends wisely. She says there's only one queen in the WWE. Tiffany Stratton then says good luck.

We get a Legado del Fantasma video. They talk in Spanish and show subtitles for some reason which I think is stupid. They say Hijo del Dr. Wagner will always live in thes hadow of his father. They all come together and say viva Mexico.

Amerian Made is interviewed. Chad says he's disappointed he didn't qualify for MITB but says Grande will take the briefcase home. He says he will beat Vikingo for the AAA Mega title tomorrow. Andrade comes up to him and talks in spanish. Chad says si. Penta then comes in and talks in Spanish. Chad asks if it's funny and says it'll be funny when Penta is through a ladder tomorrow. Nick Aldis comes in and says they can settle this in the ring tonight.

Tiffany Stratton comes out to talk. She says she became Miss MITB last year and became the IT Girl. She says every girl in MITB is championship material but it doesn't matter as their world will revolve around Tiff. She says no one can outdo the doer and says they can all pretend to be her tomorrow.

Rhea Rhipley comes out. She says she's never been part of MITB as she never had to be. She says she doesn't know what it's like to be Miss MITB but knows what it's like to be a champ and misses that feeling. 

Stephanie Vaquer comes out.

Alexa Bliss, Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer vs Naomi, Roxanne Perez and Giulia

SV armdrags G then they try pin attempts. G curbstomps her. Naomi sliding lariats SV then goes for the devil's kiss. SV then does it to her. Naomi boots SV in the corner then RP stomps Sv in the corner. G suplexes SV for 2.

Bliss gets in, shoulders over Naomi and hits a headhunter. Bliss corner dropkicks Naomi. Bliss then cannonballs her and G off the apron. RP sends Bliss into the steps. We go to PiP break and return.
Naomi kicks and foot chokes Bliss in the corner. Bliss ddt's Naomi. Rhea is tagged in and lariats RP. She fallway slams her then dropkicks Naomi off the apron. Rhea kicks RP in the gut then hits a razor's edge. Rhea low dropkicks her for 2. Bliss hits sister abigail on G. Rhea headbutts RP then RP ddt's her off of riptide. RP goes for a tag and Naomi won't take it. RP takes a triple team then is hit with a riptide and pinned.

Thoughts: It was kind of an all-star stag which was cool. RP's team lost as expected here. I liked it and thought it worked. I'm surprised it didn't get more time than it did.

Solo Sikoa talks to JC Mateo in the back. JC asks if Solo can trust Fatu after tonight. Solo says everything will be fine if Fatu follows his lead. JC asks if he will follow him. Solo says Fatu loves him and says Fatu is not that smart in the head. He says Fatu just thinks about himself and is all gas and no brains. He says he has it under control. We then see Fatu walk in and see that he heard all of that. 

We get a Wyatt Sicks video. Howdy says grief is not healed by time and is a wound that is constantly ripped open. He says you don't forget, you just accept that which can't be changed. He says he has watched the tag division. He says they wanted to forget about them and ignore the sacrifice. Howdy says they return not for nostalgia, but to take what thye are owed. He says your brotherhood will be tested and says they will not be forgotten.

The SD roster is uncomfortable about that video. DIY asks who provoked The Wyatt's. The Street Profits says to forget about the tag titles and says they have a bigger problem with The Wyatt's. Dawkins says they are the real boogey men around here. Fraxiom says they are undefeated on SD and say they should teach The Wyatt's a lesson. DIY encourages them. The Guns say they can't stand DIY and want their hands on The Wyatt's too. DIY encourage them. DIY tell Nick Aldis to make the match.

Andrade and Penta vs American Made (Julius and Brutus Creed)

JC = Julius Creed, BC = Brutus Creed

El Hijo del Vikingo is in the front row.  Penta and Andrade hit stereo topes on The Creed's. JC is sent into the rail. Andrade flying forearms JC and hits a corner meteora. BC then gets a corner meteora. Penta hits a handstand pendulum double boot on both opponents in the corners.  

Penta chops The Creed's. JC jumps off BC's back and hits a flying knee on Andrade on the top rope. JC karelin's lifts Andrade. BC standing moonsaults Andrade. We go to PiP break and return.

Andrade bodypresses BC on a backdrop attempt. Penta hits a top rope crossbody on JC when he gets in. Penta flying headscissors him. Penta does an up and over backracker on JC for 2. Chad Gable tries to rip Penta's mask. Vikingo grabs Gable and hits him. Chad is sent over the rail and fights Vikingo in the crowd.

Penta superkicks JC. Andrade spinning back elbows BC. Penta hits a panama sunrise on JC and wins.

Thoughts: There was a ton of action here and it was very fast paced as expected. It didn't get enough time to be anything great but it was not boring. 

Seth Rollins' group comes out and surrounds Penta and Andrade in the ring. Seth's group beats up Penta and Andrade. Andrade and Penta both end up taking curbstomps. Reed hits a top rope splash on Penta.

Thoughts: I like the attacks from Seth's group. It's making them seem important and making them feel like power players on this show.

We go to break and return. Seth's group is in the ring. Paul gets on the mic. He says they fear not the future as they are the future. Paul talks about all the things Seth said he would do and did. Paul says Seth becomes Mr. MITB tomorrow.  

Paul talks about how he will announce Seth as the champion then Cody Rhodes comes out. Cody stares them down then Jey Uso comes out through the stands. 

We go to break and return. Cody does his usual lines. Seth's groups is gone. Cody says Cena called him desperate. John Cena comes out. Cena makes the ring announcer do his intro for him. Logan Paul then comes in and drops Jey with a punch. Cena hits Cody with the title. Cena hits an aA on Jey. Logan hits his paulverizer on Cody. Logan hits a frogsplash off the top onto Cody and Jey. Cena says to take a good look at them and says no one is coming to save you. Cena says your dream of what WWE is will be ruined. Cena says this is your future. He says he will take his title home and Logan will take the other world title to the top. Cena says Logan is the future world champ. Cena hits an AA on Cody. The crowd chants, "We Want Truth" and Cena says, "You can't handle the truth". Cena says their truth is right here and there's nothing the fans can do about it. Cena says they are hypocrites for chanting for truth. The crowd then chants, "We Want Truth". Cena says the fans are losers. Cena says Logan is the future champ and he's the last real champ. They then pose to end the show.

Thoughts: It was your usual stuff and nothing too notable except for the crowd chanting for Truth and Cena saying, "You can't handle the truth". That was a good comeback.

Overall thoughts: I thought it was a good show. The wrestling was pretty solid all night long and they did a good job of building up various matches for MITB. They also put Seth's group over strong here and really did squeeze a lot into this show. The last segment was pretty generic though. I'd give this a 7 out of 10 total and I liked it.
