TNA Xplosion 6/6/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/tna-xplosion-5302025.html

JDC vs Channing Decker

JDC wristlocks him. CD headflips out then goes up and over him in the corner with a flip. CD slams him then does a spinning legdrop. CD plancha's on him outside. CD hits mounted corner punches. JDC puts him crotch firston the 2nd buckle. JDC then slingshot legdrops him while he's on the 2nd rope. JDC chokes him on the ropes.

JDC knee drops him then pulls his arms back. They run at each other and collide with their heads. CD hits some punches. CD hits some kind of bad spinning heel kick in the corner. CD top rope crossbodies him for 2. CD tries to plancha out but JDC moves. JDC dragon suplexes him on the floor.

JDC legdrops the leg off the buckles. JDC then does an inverted figure four and wins via submission.

Thoughts: Decker didn't have a good night here as most of his offense didn't look good. It wasn't too much of note and wasn't that great.

Around the Ring with Gabby Laspisa

Gia Miller is not here as we are told she is on special assignment. Ryan Nemeth is the guest. Ryan has a black eye and they start arguing from the beginning of this. They talk about Ryan being a stand up comedian. He says he loves that. He says him and Nic have made a fun living out of it.

Ryan says stand-up is hard but it doesn't hurt like wrestling does. He says the worst risk is that someone doesn't laugh at your jokes. He says he likes Andy Kaufmann and Steve Martin. He says him and his dad love the Final Destination series and says his girlfriend hadn't see it. They talk about which sequel of it they like best. Gabby says she misses Gia and Ryan says he doesn't remember who that is. They then joke that she's in Antartica.

Jody Threat vs Vipress

Jody wristlocks her. Vip reverses it. Jody rolls out and side headlocks her. Jody shoulders her over twice. jody back elbows her then hits corner lariats. Jody exploders her and Vip begs off.

Vip then pulls her into the buckles and stomps on her. Vip hits a ddt for 2. Vip running boots her for 2. Jody hits shots to the gut then takes a russian legsweep. Vip headscissors her and pulls on the arm. Vip then rolls her into a crossface.

Jody snapmares her then boots her out of the corner. Jody hits running lariats then pump kicks her. Jody meteora's her on the ropes and germans her. Jody jackhammers her for 2. Vip pulls the hair then Jody lariats her. Jody hits an F-5 and picks up the win.

Thoughts: It was your usual average Jody Threat match. There wasn't any great logic to it but Jody was definitely the face. They didn't botch anything at least and it got enough time.

Jody gets on the mic after and says it's a rare thing. She says many of the fans have seen her since Day 1 on the indies. She thanks them for being there for her. She said at the last PPV, her and Dani Luna made the promise to split up if they lost. She asks Dani Luna to come out.

She said she wanted to bring her out so they could get in the ring one more time. She says Spitfire is always in her heart and if she ever needs her in the ring, she's still her sister and tag partner. Dani says she feels some guilt. She says they both need a challenge though. She says maybe that's separately though. Dani says Spitfire is forever no matter what path they take. They then walk out together.

Overall thoughts: This show actually felt like it mattered which was a big change from the usual offerings. We got two new matches, an interview and a post-match angle which is the most amount of new content I've ever seen on this show. There was nothing you really needed to see though and neither match was that great. I wouldn't recommend this one.
