WWF Superstars of Wrestling 3/28/1992

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-3211992.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/06/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-441992.html

We are in Mobile, AL and we have one week to go before Wrestlemania.

Vince McMahon and Mr. Perfect are our hosts.

They say Macho Man has a hitlist including the editor of WWF Magazine, Mr. Perfect, Bobby Heenan and Ric Flair. Perfect says there's nothing negative about them if you get the picture. He says Macho is 2nd banana compared to Flair.

The Undertaker vs Lee Armstrong

Perfect says Jake Roberts knows what he's doing and Taker may be 6 feet under at Mania. Taker boots and clubs Lee. Taker drops him with a punch then flying lariats him. Taker then tombstones Lee and pins him.

Thoughts: Taker won easy here in under a minute with Lee getting nothing in.

Taker and Paul go to put Lee in a bodybag after. Taker then stomps Lee while he's in the bag.

WWF Update

Mean Gene Okerlund talks Wrestlemania VIII. We go to a press conference with only Mr. Perfect and Ric Flair there. Perfect says he wants all the applause to be held until after Flair is speaking. He introduces Flair and says he will destroy Macho. Flair talks to everyone in the crowd even though no one is there. Flair talks about why the photos of him and Liz are real and pulls out a scarf Liz wore in the photos. Flair says he will wear the same scarf at Mania. Flair then starts going "woo" and says he will win at Mania with no one else there.

Thoughts: This was a weird segment and I have no idea what they were going for here.

Papa Shango vs Ian Weston

Perfect says he wants Liz's scarf and says it attracts him. Papa stomps on Ian then does like a flying head twist. Papa shoulderbeakers Ian and wins.

Thoughts: It was another short squash with Papa winning in 57 seconds.

We get another Nailz video. He says Boss told him he'd do hard time. He says he was a man of his word and Nailz says he's a man of his word too. He says Boss will pay soon.

The Big Boss Man vs Barry Horowitz

Barry ducks a charge and a lock up. Barry forearms Boss and runs out away from Boss. Boss nails him outside then Boss shoulders him over inside. Boss then does a wind-up punch and drops Barry. Boss leg lariats Barry on the ropes then slides out and punches him. Boss hits a sidewalk slam and wins.

Thoughts: Yet another short squash here. Barry was entertaining though as Boss' punching bag and did a good job here.

Barry is handcuffed and threatened after.

WWF Event Cente

Sean Mooney hypes tonight's 3/28/1992 Boston Garden show.

Jake Roberts does a promo on Macho from behind a cage. He says he's maybe not #1 on Macho's mind as Liz probably is. Jake says he saw the pictures of Flair and Liz but hasn't seen all of them. Jake says it's no way out in the cage and says one of them will do it until the other drops.

Macho says tonight's the night. Macho says he's pretending Jake is Flair and says he will seek revenge. He says there will be no escape and Jake will go when he lets him go. He says he will get him.

The Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon) vs Bob Morgan and Dale Wolfe

Typhoon calls out Ted before the match. Quake clubs on Bob and rams him into the corner. Quake belly to belly suplexes Bob then elbow drops his back. Money Inc do an inset promo. Ted says Mania is around the corner. He says The Disasters will find heartache and devastation. IRS says April will not be The Disasters month.

Ty butt drops Bob's back on the ropes then hits corner splashes. Ty hits a corner lariat. Ty splashes Bob then Quake splashes Ty's back. Dale gets involved and takes a double shoulderblock. Quake powerslams Bob and butt drops him. Ty then splashes Bob for the pin.

Thoughts: It was the usual ND squash with them literally squashing and crushing their opponents. This went 2:29. Quake was moving well here.

Quake calls out IRS after.

Mean Gene Okerlund interviews Sid Justice and Harvey Wippleman on the stage. Sid tells Gene to shut his mouth. He says he's sick of Hulk and his demandments. Sid has Harv read Hulk's demandments and Sid responds to each one. Sid says all the vitamins in the world won't help Hulk survive. Sid tells the Hulkamaniacs to open their eyes and believe in a winner as they looking at the winner. Sid says the only prayer that will help Hulk is if he's struck by lightning as that's the only chance Hulk has.

Sid brings up the rumor of Hulk retiring at Mania. Sid says Hulk's fate was decided 5 years ago when he laced his first pair of boots and entered the ring. He says it's the fate of the jungle where the strong survive and the weak fall to the side. Sid said he decided when Hulk's last match was as he rules the world.

El Matador vs Doug Somers

Tito side headlocks him then hiptosses him. Tito hits an armdrag. Doug hammerlocks him and back elbows him. Tito knee lifts him then back body drops him. Tito then hits a flying forearm to the back of the head and wins at 1:01.

Thoughts: Well, at least Doug got one single back elbow in before going down. Tito won as expected.

WBF Bodystars is coming next Sunday. We see Lex Luger. He says he's premiering on Bodystars next weekend.

Thoughts: This was the WWF debut of Lex Luger. He had a contract dispute with WCW and this was the only way they could get him on TV.

WWF Event Center

Sean Mooney hypes tonight's 3/28/1992 Boston Garden show.

The Nasty Boys do a promo on The Bushwhackers. They say they are on the road to success and The Bushwhackers are their roadblock. Saggs says they will step on them and then beat and hurt them. Knobbs says they are hungry once again and are coming for The BW's. Knobbs says they are coming to kick butt and they are going down.

The Bushwhackers talk. Butch says he hopes they are as ready as The BW's are. Butch says eating sardines has made a big difference. Butch says they will turn The Nasty Boys into little school boys.

Wrestlemania VIII Report

Mean Gene Okerlund talks Wrestlemania. Macho Man does a promo. He says Liz will tell the truth about what happened and said Flair is lying. Macho talks about his hitlist. He says he will be the man at Mania. He says he's no angel but Flair is the dirtiest man in the game. Macho says to listen to what Liz has to say.

Gene mentions the March to Wrestlemania show this week which will have a tribute to Hulk.

We see clips of a Wrestling Challenge segment from 2 weeks ago with Bret Hart and Roddy Piper talking. Piper says Bret comes from a family of legends. He says he won't be real nice at Mania and says Bret better shake hands now as he will hate him until Mania and do what he can to destroy him. Piper says they can shake on it now or go their separate ways and skip the match. They shake hands and Bret says he says he will see him at Mania.

Gene talks about Sid vs Hulk. Hulk Hogan does a promo. He says every star in the WWF dreams of being champ. He says he's been there and knows what it's all about. He says he's biding his time and spot. He says it's another test for Sid. He says the WWF Title is a tool he uses to educate his Hulkamaniacs. He says we can rise above any slimeball that crawls from under a rock and says Sid is just another one of those. He says Sid doesn't believe in the four demandments but says they will be done and says justice will be served at Mania.

Gene says Sid vs Hulk will be a collision of 2 freight trains.

The Berzerker vs Ian Weston

Berz boots him to start and chops him down later on. Berz ties him up in the ropes and ends up slamming him. Berz throws him out of the ring backdrop style and wins.

Thoughts: This was hard to watch due to video issues but Berz won as he usually does with ease.

WWF Event Center

Sean Mooney hypes tonight's 3/28/1992 Boston Garden show. El Matador and The Mountie do promos. They were impossible to hear due to video issues.

Vince and Perfect hype up the March to Wrestlemania VIII show to close the show with a Miss Elizabeth interview, Roddy Piper vs Shawn Michaels, Sid Justice vs Hercules and a tribute to Hulk Hogan.

Overall thoughts: This was all hype for Wrestlemania as expected and not much else as Mania is only 8 days away. As usual, there was nothing interesting going on wrestling wise and there wasn't even a lot of news here except another Nailz vignette and some new interviews. I wouldn't recommend this as it was little more than filler for Mania.
