Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Cosmic Angels (Natsupoi & Saori Anou) vs. Empress Nexus Venus (Rian & Waka Tsukiyama)
Poi and Rian start us off. Rian wristlocks her. Poi cartwheels through it and wristlocks her. Rian flips out of it using the ropes and wristlocks her. Rian side headlocks her. Poi side headlocks her. Rian armdrags her. They leg sweep each other and Poi shotgun dropkicks her.
Rian takes a botched double team that ends in a double dropkick and double kick to the back. Poi indian deathlocks her legs and armbars her and it gets broken up. Rian cutters Poi. Waka hip attacks Poi on the ropes.
Waka running dropkicks Poi for 2. Poi takes weak hip attacks from both opponents. Waka misses a hip attack, gets kicked in the butt then takes a headhunter. Poi armbars Waka. Anou running facekicks Waka. Waka hits chest forearms on her. Waka misses a dropkick and Anou basement dropkicks her.
Anou gets thrown off the top by Waka. Waka straightjacket backcrackers her. Rian comes in and dropkicks Anou. Anou boots Rian over. Waka flatliners Anou on the ropes and Rian double knee drops Anou's back.
Rian gets double teamed then Anou and Poi take stereo dropkicks. Anou northern lights suplexes rian and rolls her into a bridging straightjacket choke. Waka breaks it up. Anou takes a oduble back elbow in the corner then a crossbody from Rian for 2.
Rian fisherman suplexes Anou for 2. Rian flips over Anou and tries a pin for 2. Rian hits chest forearms. Poi totally misses a dropkick on Rian then Anou fisherman suplexes Rian for 2. Anou heavenly locks Rian and wins.
Thoughts: The match was better than expected but it had some issues. Poi totally missed a dropkick here and at one point, Waka was just waiting in the ring for the next spot to be done and was trying to stay out of the way while doing it. Rian got to kick out of a little bit more here than usual. I also thought it was a little long for an opener. I'm 50/50 on this one and would just it was average due to the issues it had.
Natsuko Tora vs. Aya Sakura vs. Matoi Hamabe
Tora messes with a fan and their kid on the way to the ring. Tora wins a double test of strength to start. She does a double hadlock then hits a double crossbody. Tora hair throws Matoi around. Tora foot chokes Matoi on the ropes then suplexes her. Tora sentons Matoi.
Matoi hits chest forearms on Tora. Tora forearms her. Aya and Matoi hit dropkicks on Tora then double dropkick her. Aya tries to make friends with Matoi and is turned on. They trade chest forearms. Matoi dropkicks Aya three times.
Matoi slams Aya then shoulder throws her. Aya chest kicks Matoi down for 2. Tora tries to senton both but just nails Matoi then Aya moves. Tora pulls Matoi into an Aya dropkick. Matoi cradles Tora for 2 then backrolls her for 2. Matoi sunset flips Tora for 2. Tora running lariats Matoi for 2.
Aya hits chest kicks on Tora. Tora shoulders her over. Tora cannonballs both opponents in the corner for 2. Tora then tope rope splashes Matoi and wins.
Thoughts: They did okay with the three way format here. Aya and Matoi were pretty much teaming up against Tora for the first half then turned on each other. Tora wiped the floor with them clean as expected. Matoi's doing a good job so far and isn't making a lot of mistakes despite being a rookie.
Suzu Suzuki & Yuna Mizumori vs. God's Eye (Lady C & Ranna Yagami)
Yuna and Suzu argue then get attacked. Yuna leap frogs over Susuz and nails C. Yuna and Suzu are then thrown into each other. Yuna takes a boot to the head, a legsweep and a double basement dropkick. C giant swings Yuna.
Yuna is tied up in the ropes and Ran kicks her. Ran dropkicks her in the back. Yuna spins Ran around on the backdrop attempt and dropkicks her. Ran corner dropkicks Yuna. Suzu hits a double spear on her opponents. Ran kicks Suzu in the corner then kicks her in the back.
Ran running dropkicks Suzu. C then abdominal stretches both opponents at the same time. C facekicks Suzu on the ropes. Suzu kicks C in the back then drive-by kicks her on the apron. Suzu is popped up into a kick from Ran for 2. Yuna flying shoulders Suzu off the ropes by accident. C then hits a double neckbreaker. C does an unusual abdominal stretch bomb on Suzu for 2.
Suzu pushes C into the ropes and rolls her up tequila shot style to win.
Thoughts: It was alright. They pushed that Suzu and Yuna were having issues working together. C busted out a new move here and Ran didn't get that much in.
Yuna and Suzu have more issues after.
Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block B Match - STARS (Hazuki & Koguma) vs. HATE (Konami & Saya Kamitani)
The heels attack before the bell as usual and they all go out to fight. The faces are sent into the seats. Kog has boots put against her head on the ropes then she takes boots from both opponents. Kon foot chokes Kog then kicks her in the back. She tries to pin her with a one foot.
Kon stands on Kog in the corner then Kog hits a ddt on her. Haz gets in. She 2nd rope dropkicks Kon for 2 and goes for a crossface. Saya breaks it up. Haz is double hiptossed into the ropes and does a double armdrag off of it. Haz then hits a double basement dropkick.
Haz and Kog do stereo facewash kicks on their opponents. Kon armbars Haz then hanging triangles her on the ropes. Kon basement dropkicks Haz for 2. Kon fisherman suplexes Haz. Saya flying knees Haz in the corner then basement dropkicks her for 2.
Haz top rope dropkicks Saya then Kog 2nd rope crossbodies Saya for 2. Kog takes corner attacks from the heels. Kon chest kicks Kog over and Saya running boots Kog. Saya misses a spin kick on Kog and ends up taking a cutter.
Kon hits a top rope dropkick on both opponents. Saya suplexes Kog while hooking the leg for 2. Saya takes a superplex but avoids Kog's top rope splash. Saya pump kicks Kog then Kog takes a double boot to the face. Saya pump kicks Kog. Kon high kicks Saya on accident and Kog rolls up Saya for the win.
Thoughts: Kog pinning Saya was definitely a surprise here. I was fine with this one and thought they put a little more effort into this one than usual. We didn't get Kog's taunt/dance though...
Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block B Match - God's Eye (Saki Kashima & Syuri) vs. Neo Genesis (AZM & Miyu Amasaki)
Saki and Syu pose at the corner camera and stare at it. Saki and AZM start us off. AZM rolls up Saki on a handshake attempt. Saki then rolls her with an armbar into a pin attempt. Miyu and Syu go at it. Miyu wristlocks her then Syu side headlock takeovers her.
Syu takes a double boot then a double basement dropkick. Syu sleepers Miyu and Miyu ropebreaks. Syu snapmares her and kicks her in the back. Saki snapmars Miyu and kicks her in the back. Syu chases AZM around outside. Syu hits knees to Miyu's gut for 2.
Miyu hit chest forearms on Syu then Syu boots her over. Syu stomps on her then Miyu flying back elbows her. AZM 2nd rope dropkicks Syu. AZM trips both opponents and hits a double basement dropkick. AZM then pulls back on both opponents arms at once.
AZM rolls up Syu then Syu armbars her. Syu and AZM trade forearms. Syu knees her on the ropes. AZM takes a codebreaker then Saki trips Syu onto AZM for 2. Syu hits knees to the gut then AZM suplexes her.
AZM rolls up Saki then Saki rolls her up for 2. They try more pin attempts. Miyu hits a double pendulum ddt on both opponents. Saki takes a dropkick + enzugiri combo in the corner. AZM head kicks Saki for 2.
AZM top rope double stomps Saki but Saki no sells it and crucifixes her. AZM rolls Saki up into a pin attempt and wins.
Thoughts: It wasn't as good as it should have been. I wanted more AZM vs Syuri out of this. Saki being awkward and half-serious didn't really add much to this and she mostly did nothing but pin attempts here.
Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block B Match - STARS (Mayu Iwatani & Momo Kohgo) vs. Cosmic Angels (Sayaka Kurara & Tam Nakano)
Momo and Saya start us off. They get each others backs and do some mat wrestling. Momo snapmares her and basement dropkicks her. Momo slams her for 2. Mayu single leg crabs Saya. Saya ropebreaks but Mayu pulls her away and the ref forces her to break. Mayu then puts it back on.
Mayu corner dropkicks Saya then kicks her in the back for 2. Saya hits chest forearms on Mayu. Mayu spin kicks her then Saya dropkicks her. Tam comes in and headhunters Mayu. Momo kicks Tam on the ropes. Tam bridges out of a double lariat and hits a double dropkick.
Mayu and Tam miss high kicks. Tam spin kicks her. Mayu backrolls her off the ropes and basement dropkicks her. Momo springboard dropicks Tam then twisting single underhook suplexes her for 2. Tam backdrops Momo then pumping knees her on the ropes.
Saya dropkicks Momo then corner dropkicks her. Saya slams Momo for 2. Saya hits chest forearms on Momo then Momo dropkicks her. Saya avoids a double 619. Saya and Tam hit stereo dropkicks. Saya does a hanging sleeper in the corner while Tam does a hanging dragon sleeper in the corner. Tam 2nd rope crossbodies while Saya 2nd rope dropkicks.
Tam jumps off the top outside onto opponents while Saya jumps off the apron onto opponents. Saya top rope dropkicks Momo for 2. Saya grounded sleepers Momo. Saya takes corner attacks.
Mayu superkicks Saya then Momo 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Saya. Mayu throws Tam out. Saya hits a big spear on Momo for 2. Mayu superkicks Tam then Saya. Momo tornado ddt's Saya for 2. Momo crucifix drivers Saya and wins.
Momo gets a chant after from the crowd and is thrilled about it.
Thoughts: It wasn't the epic I was hoping for. But they did okay with the time they got. I would have liked more of Tam in this one as she didn't get a ton in. It was fast paced as epxected and Saya didn't look out of her element in this.
Goddesses Of Stardom Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Kohaku & Mei Seira vs. HATE (Momo Watanabe & Thekla)
I'm not sure why this is the semi-main event. Mei and Koh dropkick the heels before the bell. Momo is double swept then the faces are both tripped by Thek. The girls go outside to fight. Mei and Koh are sent into the seats. Momo chokes Mei with a chair.
Mei and Thek both go into the post and Mei takes another ride into the seats. Thek stands on Kog's face. Momo boots Mei around in the ring then kicks her in the back.
Thek foot chokes Mei in the corner. Thek superkicks her in the back of the head after snapmares. Mei trips Thek in the ropes and dropkicks her then she headhunters her. Koh is tagged in at 5 minutes. Koh pulls the heels into each other and double kicks them on the bottom rope. Koh top rope dropkicks Thek for 2.
Koh corner euros Thek then Thek spears her. Momo is tagged in. She PK's Momo for 2. Koh is whipped int othe corner and jumps off the top rope with a dropkicks on Momo. Mei is tagged in and she springboard dropkicks Momo for 2.
Mei release suplexes Momo then takes corner attacks from the heels. Momo meteora's her then puts her in a chickenwing. Koh throws Momo off the buckles. Mei superkicks Momo then Mei and Koh hit stereo top rope dropkicks.
Mei spin kicks Momo then Momo high kicks her. Mei la magistral's Momo for 2 and takes a spear from Thek. Mei takes a double kick to the head for 2. Mei rolls up Momo and Momo kicks her in the head. Mei dropkicks Thek then Momo cradle tombstones Thek for 2. Mei rolls up Momo and gets the pin.
Thoughts: It started off well and I wouldn't say it got worse but it didn't quite keep it up. Thek had some nice spears here. It was a fast paced match but was just average oveall.
Ruaka, Saya Iida & Starlight Kid vs. Hanan, Hina & Rina
Rina, Hina and Hanan are from Shimotsuke and they are sisters. All 6 girls are all Stardom homegrown talents so it's a neat little match. We have faces and heels on the same team here so that'll make things interesting. Rina's team is given flowers before the match.
Han and Saya start us off. Han side headlock takeovers her. Saya headscissors her then they repeat the spot with the wrestlers switched. Rina hits everyone but Ruaka with the flowers she was given. Han takes a double back elbow, a basmeent dropkick and a splash. Saya is then put on her by Ruaka and Rina for a pin attempt.
Hina pushes Rina outside. Kid foot chokes Han on the ropes then dropkicks her leg around the ropes. Kid does an indian deathlock variation to Han and Han ropebreaks. Ruaka hair throws Han then foot chokes her. Ruaka shoulders Han over. Ruaka stands on her.
Saya machine gun chops Han in the corner. Saya double chops Han over. Han jumps up on the 2nd rope and twistingcrossbodies her. Hina flying knees Saya in the corner then dropkicks her for 2. Saya and Kid start going at it then Hina hip throws Kid. Hina hip throws Saya and Ruaka.
Saya double sledgehammer shots Hina. Kid 2nd rope twisting crossbodies Hina then shotgun dropkicks her. Kid standing moonsaults Hina. Hina flying neckbreakers Kid.
Rina flying double knees Kid in the corner. Rina grabs Kid by the mask then throws her by it. Rina foot chokes Kid on the lower ropes. Rina basement dropkicks her. Kid bangs Rina's knee off the mat. Kid suplexes Rina twice for 2.
Kid goes up top and is thrown down by Hina and Han. Kid takes a double monkey flip. Rina does a grounded octopus to Kid. Rina misses a to prope double stomp on Kid and Kid running double knees her in the back.
Kid jumping kicks Rina then Rina reverse suplexes her. Ruaka and Han fight. Ruaka misses a senton and is dropkicked. Ruaka shoulders Han over then sentons her for 2. Han STF's Ruaka while pulling on the leg. Hina and Rina then do submissions at the same time.
Han's team does triple hip throws. Han top rope plancha's her opponents outside. Han fameassers Ruaka for 2. Han leg lariats Ruaka and Ruaka lariats her over. Han and Ruaka trade forearms. Kid top rope crossbodies Han then Saya top rope diving shoulders Han. Ruaka fisherman suplexes Han for 2.
Ruaka spinebusters Han for 2. Ruaka corner lariats Han in the back of the head then Han crucifixes Ruaka for 2. Saya lariats Han on the ropes then Ruaka knocks Saya over on accident. Kid kicks Ruaka on accident and Han cuty specials Ruaka for 2. Hina STO's Ruaka then Rina 2nd rope double knee drops Ruaka. Han backdrops Ruaka and pins her.
Thoughts: It was long at 20 minutes and average at best. 4 of the girls in this are rather averge wrestlers and becaue of it, the match was rather average. I felt like they could have gotten a little more out of the concept of heels and faces teaming together though they did get some story out of it.
Rina refuses to celebrate with her partners after. Han then talks on the mic. Kid, Saya, and Hina also talk on the mic.
Overall thoughts: It was okay or average overall. There was nothing must see on this one. The main got more time than it needed. The semi-main should have been lower on the card as it was never going to be great. I was okay with the three way and the opener had some high and low points to it. I wouldn't really recommend this one and would just give it a 5 out of 10.
