All Japan Pro Wrestling 12/5/2024 Real World Tag League 2024 Day 10

Seigo Tachibana & Taishin Nagao vs. Saito Brothers (Jun Saito & Rei Saito)

Seigo talks on the mic beforehand. He tries to buy off The Saito's with snacks but they don't go for it. The Saitos kick their opponents out of the ring. Seigo gets chopped outside. Saito gets chopped outside. Seigo forearms him then Jun shoulders him over. Jun elbow drops him for 2.

Jun stands on Seigo's gut. Seigo takes a double shoulderblock. Seigo dropkicks Rei in the knee and forearms him. Nagao gets in and hits dropkicks on Rei. Rei boots him over. Nagao 2nd rope dropkicks him.

Rei bearhugs Nagao and Seigo breaks it up. Seigo corner forearms Rei then Nagao top rope dropkicks Rei. Rei shoulders over both opponents. Nagao hits dropkicks on Rei. Rei slams Nagao for 2. Jun chokeslams Seigo.

Nagao hits chest forearms on Rei. Rei shoves him over. Rei chops him down then bearhugs him again. Nagao is out and the match is stopped.

Thoughts: It was what it should have been with the big guys beating up on the smaller guys and the smaller guys trying to make comebacks before being put down. It wasn't great but it made sense and was what it was supposed to be.

Ryo Inoue & Yuma Aoyagi vs. ELPIDA (Ren Ayabe & Ryuki Honda)

Honda side headlock takeovers Ryo. Honda side headlocks him. Ryo hits 2 running facekicks and knocks him over. Yuma does Honda's choke on the ropes spot. Honda gets mad and gets up in his face. Honda then does his choking on the ropes spot to Yuma and has Ren do it to Ryo at the same time.

Ren does a back body drop on Yuma. Ren crabs Yuma and Honda kneels on Yuma as he ropebreaks. Yuma misses a dropkick on Ren. Yuma double boots Ren out of the corner and misses a 2nd rope dropkick. Yuma uranages him.

Ryo gets in and hits chest kicks on Ren. Ren forearms him over. Ryo hits kicks in the corner and corner dropkicks him. Ren slams Ryo. Honda corner lariats Ryo and Ryo running step-up kicks him. Ryo PK's Honda for 2. Ryo buzzsaw kicks Honda for 2.

Ryo misses a corner chagre and takes a Ren facekick. Ren half-nelson slams him. Honda spears Ryo for 2. Honda hits a big lariat on him. Ryo enzugiri's him then Honda hits a stiff running lariat for 2. Honda running one-arm powerbombs him and wins.

Honda does a dance around the ring after.

Thoughts: It was a good match. They had with Honda's rope spot early. Ryo was on fire here showing lots of fighting spirit and him and Honda had a good and fiery section.

Real World Tag League 2024 Block A Match - MUSASHI & Seiki Yoshioka vs. Dan Tamura & Shotaro Ashino

Mu = MUSASHI, SY = Seiki Yoshioka

Mu and SY attack before it starts and they all go outside. Dan's head is banged off the seats then Sho is sent into the seats. Sho is sent into the post. Seiki stomps on Dan and Mu does the same to Sho.

Sho and Dan fight back and send their opponents out. They then fight outside again. Sho trades shots with Mu in the seats. Sho chokes one of his opponents with a chair in the seats but it's hard to see who. Dan slams SY on the floor.

Sho hits a stiff lariat on Mu outside. Dan hits facekicks on Mu. Mu and Dan trade forearms and chest clubs. Sho does a nice karelin's lift on Mu and steps on his face. Sho euros him over. Sho and Mu get into a slap fight and Sho forearm flurries him. Mu step up enzugiri's Sho.

SY pumping knees Sho in the corner then kicks him hard in the back. SY then PK's Sho for 2. SY hits a step up enzugiri and Sho overhead belly to belly suplexes him. Dan and Mu trade forearms. Mu dropkicks him in the knee then double stomps his back. Mu basement dropkicks him.

Dan takes kicks from both and a double basement dropkick. Mu falcon arrows Dan for 2. Mu goes up top and Sho overhead belly to belly suplexes him. Sho germans SY. Mu is dropped gut first on the ropes then takes a forearm + elbow combo. Dan running lariats Mu for 2.

Dan hits lariats on Mu. Mu superkicks Dan then SY la mistaica drops Dan. Mu john woo's Dan in the corner. SY asai moonsaults Sho outside. Mu does a leg-clutch emerald flowsion on Dan and wins.

Thoughts: I didn't expect that much out of it but I really liked this. It was fast paced, fiery and heated. Dan and Sho really beat the crap out of their opponents and SY/Mu showed a little more fire here. I really liked this match and it may have been my favorite match of this RWTL tour so far. This one is worth checking out. 

Real World Tag League 2024 Block B Match - Evolution (Hideki Suzuki & Suwama) vs. Baka No Jidai (Hikaru Sato & Yuko Miyamoto)

Suwama and Yuko go at it. Suwama takes him down and Yuko takes him down. They test strength and Yuko gets the edge after rolling backwards. They then ropebreak. Suzuki and Sato go at it.

Sato guillotines him and drives him into the corner. Suwama forearms Sato down. Sato hits chops and takes a double chop. Suwama belly to belly suplexes him. Suwam forearms him while he's on the apron. Suwama goes for a piledriver on the apron but Yuko handspring kicks both people off. Suzuki then backbreakers Yuko.

The four fight outside. Suwama uses a chair on one of his opponents and swings the chair in the ref's direction. Suwama lariats Suzuki on accident outside. Suwama chases Sato to the back. They run around back and then get back in. Sato and Yuko get in the ring and Suwama's team is counted out.

Thoughts: It was short and stupid with a countout finish.

Suwama throws a chair at Yuko after. Suzuki then slams Nagao in the ring and swings a chair at Yuko. Sato then celebrates in the crowd. 

Real World Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Makoto Oishi & Mike D Vecchio vs. Hokuto-gun (Hokuto Omori & Kuma Arashi)

Kuma and Mike go at it. They lock up and Mike is backed up on the ropes. They shove each other and trade forearms. Mike forearms him then running lariats him. Mike hits a slam. Oishi is gorilla pressed onto Kuma for 2.

Kuma counters a double team. Oishii gets his head banged off the apron by Omori outside after being pulled out. Oishi and Kuma eye rake each other. Kuma forearms and slams Oishi. Kuma then sentons him for 2. Kuma stands on Oishi's gut. Kuma slams Oishi and tries to slam Omori onto him but Oishi moves.

Mike is tagged in. He lariats Kuma over and running facekicks him. Mike does a cody cutter off the top for 2. Kuma torture rack drops Mike. Kuma shoulders Oishi over hwne Oishi gets in. Omori then corner forearms Oishi. Omori brainbusters Oishi for 2. Oishi takes a double team STO. Kuma sentons Oishi.

Mike comes in to help out and Kuma crossbodies him. Oishi is slammed and Omori misses a top rope splash on him. Omori forearms him over then hits a falcon arrow move. Omori goes for the pin but Oishi rolls him over and wins.

Thoughts: It was short and not much of note. I didn't like Oishi no selling the finish at the end to get the pin. Oishi got beaten up for most of the match here.

Real World Tag League 2024 Block A Match - Daisuke Sekimoto & Kengo Mashimo vs. ELPIDA (Rising HAYATO & Yuma Anzai)

Sek = Daisuke Sekimoto

Sek and Rising go at it. Sek clean breaks him on the ropes. Rising waistlocks him. Sek misses a corner charge and takes a chop. Rising side headlocks him and Sek shoulders him over. Sek slams Rising then Sek is pulled over the top.

Yuma and Ken go at it. Ken boots him i nthe gut nd takes a forearm. They shoulder battle and Yuma dropkicks him. Sek hits a double shoulder on his opponents. Ken bangs Yuma's leg off the post. Yuma gets his leg worked on. Sek hits elbows on it then ddt's the leg. Ken knee drops Yuma's leg and pulls on it, making Yuma ropebreak.

Yuma hits forearms on Sek when Sek gets in. Sek kicks him in the leg. Yuma dropkicks him off the buckles. Rising gets tagged in and dropkicks Ken off of Sek's back. Rising asai moonsaults Sek for 2. Rising superkicks Sek and kicks him in the gut. Rising then dropkicks him. Sek flips him over his knee and hits a knee to the face.

Rising superkicks Sek multiple times then is lariated over. Yuma and Ken are tagged in. They trade forearms. Yuma corner forearms him then belly to belly suplexes him.  Yuma hits a dropkicks on Ken. Yuma double underhook suplexes him.

Ken dragon screws Yuma while he's on the 2nd rope. Yuma takes corner attacks from both opponents. Ken PK's Yuma. Sek 2nd rope falling splashes Yuma's leg. Ken then does a leg bar on Yuma while Sek racks Rising. Yuma escapes a double team and Ken enzugiri's Sek's arm.

Rising dropkicks Sek then Ken exploders Rising. Ken takes a dropkick + german combo for 2. Sek takes a superkick + flying knee combo. Rising springboard plancha's Sek. Yuma headbutts Ken then Ken dragon screws him. Ken superkicks him and Yuma ducks a buzzsaw kick, hitting him with a german. Yuma flying knees Ken for 2. Yuma hits a gimlet on Ken and wins.

Thoughts: It was an okay match. We didn't see a ton of Rising in it. The focus was on Yuma's knee here and Ken did a good job of following up on it. I was fine with this and thought they did a decent job here. It was one of Kengo's best performances in this tournament. 

Real World Tag League 2024 Block B Match - Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Kento Miyahara vs. Hokuto-gun (Cyrus & Hartley Jackson

Cy grabs some staff member by the throat outside before it starts.

Davey and Cy start us off. Cy hits a shot to the gut and they each hit some forearms. Davey side headlocks him and they shoulder battle. Cy knees him in the gut. Cy slams him then misses a falling headbutt. Davey legdrops him over the back of the neck. Hart and Ken get in.

Ken side headlocks him and they shoulder battle. Ken facekicks him then is shouldered over. Hart then cheapshots Davey. Ken pushes his opponents into each other. He then dropkicks Hart in the knee and the head.

Hart suplexes Ken then Cy stands on Ken's gut on the apron. Cy butt drops Ken then legdrops him on the apron. The four fight outside. Cy fights Ken up the in the bleachers. Hart's head is banged off the apron by Davey.Cy and Ken fight near the entrance and Cy poses on Ken. Cy then walks on Ken's gut.

Ken hits forearms on Cy and Cy knocks him over. Cy running knees Ken in the corner then foot chokes him. Ken hits chest clubs and Cy facekicks him. Hart fist drops Ken then slams him. Hart misses a senton on Ken. Cy butt drops Ken's back.

Cy single leg crabs Ken. Hart side slams Ken for 2. Cy cobra clutches Ken. Cy lariats Ken over for 2. Cy misses a legdrop on Ken. Ken dropkicks him in the knee and the side of the head. Cy takes a lariat + backdrop combo.

Davey hits forearms on Cy. Cy misses a corner splash and Davey hits a big slam on him. Davey corner lariats Cy then ddt's him from the 2nd rope for 2. Cy spinning heel kicks Davey. Hart is tagged in and corner splashes Davey. Hart lariats him for 2.

Davey russian legsweeps Hart. Hart takes corner attacks. Davey is on the 2nd rope fighting Hart. Cy powerbombs Davey down. Hart sentons Davey and Cy legdrops Davey for 2. Ken hits shots on Cy and Hart and is sandwich splashed between them. Cy shoulders Hart over on a failed double team. Ken pumping knees Cy from the apron.

Davey backdrops Hart for 2 then sitout powerbombs him for the win.

Thoughts: It was okay but not much more. Davey just isn't the most exciting guy and Ken didn't really get abused enough here to really get the crowd going. Both sides did what they were supposed to do though in general so I was fine with it. 

Davey and Ken tease leaving after but then talk on the mic. Davey says they are the strongest team in AJPW and will take first place in the tournament. Davey says they love Zen Nippon and Ken closes the show on the mic.

Overall thoughts: The Tamura and Ashino tag match was my favorite thing on here and one of my favorite matches as of late. It was a spirited and stiff affair that I recommend. The main and semi main were okay here. I didn't like the Suwama/Suzuki tag but I didn't hate anything else. I'd give it a 6 out of 10 overall as there was some decent work on this show.
