WWE Friday Night Smackdown 1/11/2013 Review

He also signed a Last Man Standing match for the title with Alberto Del Rio vs Big Show. He also promised The Rock.

Show brought up how Booker was just doing this to cash in the fact that there is a big latino population in Miami and said there are no latino heroes.
Show went to threaten Booker T when Alberto Del Rio came in and beat him up:

WWE then did their bungee camera angles as the Shield attacked, which I'm sure provoked motion sickness worldwide.
Randy Orton beat Antonio Cesaro by DQ when the Shield interrupted. Nothing at all to see here I'm afraid. Cesaro tried, but it's Orton and he does the same match every week.

AJ bit Natalya in the face then hit a Shiranui for the win. A complete waste of time here that went maybe 2 minutes. Big E then rushed Khali and sent him on his backside.
Big E then hit Hornswoggle with The Big Ending.

Punk then threw the shirt off.

He did lots of name dropping and stuff until Sandow and Rhodes came out.

Sandow challenged Rock to 3 questions and told him he must leave if he gets one wrong.

Rock interrupted for the 3rd question and said he wanted to ask a question.

Sheamus vs 3MB
Sheamus beat Slater in about 15 seconds with a Brogue Kick. No match here. 3MB walked out right as it started, Slater tried to sneak attack and got caught. A giant waste of time.
Kane and Daniel Bryan vs The Prime Time Players
Kane won with a chokeslam on Darren Young. Hey, another quick match designed to make members of the WWE roster look like idiots. Just what WWE needs!
World Heavyweight Title and Last Man Standing - The Big Show vs Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio beat The Big Show after he trapped Big Show behind a table and he couldn't answer the count. The story telling in this was phenomenal. ADR worked the arm early then hit Big Show with the steel steps near the end to help put him down. I loved him throwing the table on Show to win this. It made total sense because he's a giant and ADR was unlikely to get him otherwise. The heat was very good and they threw in some decent spots and both guys were quite good. ADR and Ricardo sold the win so well. I also really liked ADR saving himself by rolling out of the ring. That was a really nice "catch" so to speak and it added to the match. Overall it was a pretty awesome match and surely to be one of the better ones of the year. Definitely check it out! Rating:****1/2
Overall thoughts: It's a one match show. There's really nothing to see here besides the main. If you like The Rock's usual schtick, you will probably enjoy his part on the show but I can't figure out why he was mostly used for comedy. Other than that, the other matches were all short and/or had dumb finishes. Find the main event and skip the rest.
