NWA Powerrr 10/14/2025

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/nwa-powerrr-1072025.html

Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/nwa-powerrr-10212025.html

The Lost (Lev and Alex Misery) vs Mondo and Slade

Aron Stevens is with Mondo and Slade. James Mitchell is with The Lost. Mondo clubs Alex and bangs his head off the buckles. Mondo stomps him in the corner. Alex takes a double back elbow. Slade misses a knee drop. Alex springboard twisting crossbodies him. Alex clubs on him. Alex is tripped up top and he falls down hard. Alex takes an atomic drop into a bulldog.

Mondo chops Alex and back elbows him. Mondo hits corner spears. Slade germans Alex. Slade then dragon suplexes him for 2. Slade armlocks him. Alex eye rakes him and urakens him. Slade headbutts him then Alex os cutters him.

Lev and Mondo get in. Lev hits shots on his opponents. Lev ushigoroshi's Slade then double cross chops Mondo. Lev running STO's him for 2. Lev lariats Slade on the apron. Mondo flying knees Alex. Lev then rolls up Mondo as he celebrates for 2. Mondo fireman's carry gutbusters Lev and wins.

Thoughts: This was a good example of some of the issues with The NWA. There actually was a story here with Aron saying the NWA wasn't big enough for James Mitchell and himself last week and making this match over it. It was never mentioned here and what came across like a random match actually had a build to it. Aside from that, I liked the match. The big guys did their part and Alex did his flying.

We go to The PowerrrStation. Kylie Page says hi to the inheritance lawyer. The lawyer says she didn't come to the meeting and is disqualified from it. Page says she was sick. The lawyer says her family is still in this. Page asks if her family would be able to give her money if they win. The lawyer says she has to get legal counsel. Page asks if there's anything she can do to get back into this. Page tries to flirt with him and asks if he can redo the papers. The lawyer says he could look through it one more and she says, "that's what I thought".

We see Thom Lattimer's promo from 2 weeks ago. He talks about Silas Mason calling him out and getting kicked out of the Jax Dane Tournament in the first round. Thom says he needs to get in line with the rest to get a title shot.

Heavyweight Exhibition - Kerry Morton vs Dillon McQueen

Here's a random one. KM stomps his foot and eye pokes him. KM then rolls out of a lock up. DM forearms him and poses on the mat. DM wristlocks him. KM hammerlocks him and takes his necklace during it. DM walks the top rope then comes down and slaps KM. DM headscissors KM out of the corner and trips him into the ropes. DM springboard pumping knees him.

DM goes for a tope and KM euros him on it. KM suplexes him on the floor. KM hits a top rope splash and pulls his arm up on the pin attempt. KM knees him in the leg and stomps his hands. DM hits forearms and sunset flips him. KM drops down on him on it for 2.

KM bites DM's head. KM hits knees to the gut then running euros him in the corner. DM is flapjacked onto the top buckle. KM guillotines him. DM suplexes him. DM back body drops him and lariats him. DM goes for like a dominator but KM slips out and neckbreakers him. KM is on the 2nd rope and takes a hard pump kick.

DM 2nd rope flatliners him for 2. KM eye rakes him and spinning forearms him from behind, dropping him. KM hits a boot and pulls him up on the pin attempt again. KM pulls on DM's mouth then final cuts him to win.

Thoughts:
It was alright. KM was a little rougher here on purpose and Dillon lost here as expected.

We see a Knox and Murdoch promo from the last show that we had seen already. Trevor asks if he will survive tonight. He says he really has the deck stacked against him in a mocking tone. Trevor says he will take Smalls' challenge.

Handcuffed Heat Match - Eric Smalls vs Trevor Murdoch

Mike Knox is handcuffed to the bottom rope.

TM tries a high lock up, mocking Smalls. TM then gets down on his knees to lock up and shoves Smalls. TM stomps Smalls and boots him in the corner. TM slams him then bulldogs him. TM misses a top rope diving bulldog.

Smalls hits him in the nuts then superkicks him. The ref sees it and does nothing about it. Smalls 2nd rope moonsaults him. Knox hits Smalls from the outside and the ref does nothing about it. TM boots Smalls in the face the sliding lariats him for the win.

Thoughts: This was bogus. Knox and Smalls both cheated here in clear view of the ref who did nothing about it. It was all squash as expected here. I figured the rules of this were going to mean that Murdoch was handcuffed, not Knox, who wasn't in the match.

Kerry Morton does a promo. He says he won earlier today and says he comes second to nobody. He says Dillon McQueen always falls short. He says he's thinking about The Southern Six taking over at NWA 77. He says he has deserved ever opportunity he got as he has excelled. He says he's calling out Alexander Hammerstone. He says when Alex came here, he stepped into his tradition and legacy. He says Alex won't come close to lacing his boots and wants him 1v1. He says Alex will get blown up in the first 30 seconds.

Colby Corino does a promo. He says people says it's easier to be a wrestler when you are a second gen wrestler. He says people don't know that his dad was gone 75% of the time and he was on the road with him the other 25% of the time. He says being born rich is easy. He says he has boots that have been in wrestling longer than Carson Drake. He says Drake needs t be put in his place.

We go to Bitcrush. Tiffany Nieves and her crew talk to Vic the psychologist guy. Vic says he's been messaging her and she didn't reply back. She apologizes. Vic says it's easy to get lost in technology. Vic says she's a double champ but he has a vision that is so much more. He says Tiff could have so much more and he could give it to her. He says she could become the Women's champ. Tiff says to tell me more. Vic says they will need to do a one on one.

Thoughts: Yeah, these continue to be weird and creepy segments but at least there's maybe some point to the Vic/Tiffany thing.

Heavyweight Exhibition - Damian Fenrir vs Nick Swift

We haven't seen DF for a while. They say we've seen Nick before but it hasn't been recently if we did.

Nic waistlocks him and DF waistlock takedowns him. DF side headlock takeovers him. Nick headscissors him then DF headflips out. Nick backslides him then la magistral's him for 2. Nick side headlocks him. DF leapfrogs and then Nick enzugiri's him. Nick spins into a guillotine in the air. DF goes up and over and hits kicks in the corner. DF then buckshot lariats him for 2.

DF chops him in the corner. Billy Corgan calls DF a future champ. DF hits a corner spear then suplexes him. DF elbow drops him. DF then chinlocks him. Nick hits some shots and DF back elbows him. DF stomps and foot chokes him. Nick boots him out of the corner and hits some shots.

DF misses a corner back elbow. Nick stands up top and is dropkicked. Nick gets crotched but almost falls off the post in what could have been a dangerous spot. DF hits splash mountain on him and wins.

Thoughts: I didn't like the top rope dropkick spot as Nick really could have gotten hurt off of it. Both guys did alright here. Fenrir's absolutely destined for higher places and it's just a matter of time until it happens. He's got a good look, he's young and athletic. Nick didn't do bad with what he was given. I was fine with this, just I question if there will be any follow up on it.

Thom Latimer does a promo. He says he's facing a guy who is 7 foot tall and 400lbs. He says he's a guy who wants it and he seems unsure as to how he got a shot. He says Dragon is stepping into his ring. He says he will find out that the worst thing in life you can get sometimes is a knuckle sandwich from Thom Latimer.

Silas Mason does a promo. He says the longer Thom ignores him, the worse it will get. He says every single moment of his time that he wastes is time that will be taken off of Thom's life. He says this is all coming to a head and is destiny to him. He says it's the end of everything Thom every worked for. He tells him to quit making him wait and give him an answer. He says to prove the title is gold and the streak up his back isn't yellow.

NWA Title - Thom Latimer (c) vs El Dragon Nihan

This is Dragon's NWA debut. He's a big guy. They stare down. Thom side headlocks him. They shoulderblock battle. Thom slides through his legs and dropkicks him twice. Thom hits euros on the ropes. They lock up and Dragon backs him up. Dragon rubs his arms in Thom's face. They stare down.

Dragon knees him in the gut and clubs him. Dragon foot chokes him. Thom's head is banged off the buckles. Dragon hits bolo punches in the corner and knees to the gut. Dragon corner lariats him. Thom lariats him down and spinning heel kicks him. Thom then hits a big slam.

Thom elbow drops Dragon for 2. Thom hits mounted corner punches. Thom backdrops him for 2. Dragon suplexes him for 2. Dragon eye rakes him. Thom hits punches and euros him. Dragon hits a big facekick. Dragon then legdrops him for 2. Thom gets his knees up on Dragon's splash.

Thom hits corner attacks then he stunners him. Thom ddt's him for 2. Thom bends over and is kicked. Dragon slams him. Dragon goes onto the 2nd rope. Thom grabs him and sitout powerbombs him down. Thom then gets the pin.

Thoughts: It was a decent match here. Because of Dragon's size, he was instantly credible. The announcers did a good job of hyping him up. It was your basic match though and Dragon did basic big man offense. Dragon seemed to get a little winded during this. Like always with The NWA, the question is what happens next? Is he going to be brought back or is this it until they come around to the Tampa again? We'll see what happens.

The Southern Six jump Thom from behind after. Swann, Colby Corino and someone else come out to help Thom. Lev and Alex Mistery, Mcqueen and others then come out to join this big brawl. The locker room continues to empty and Kerry Morton hits Thom in the gut with a chair. Everyone brawls to close the show.

Thoughts: I'm not real sure what the big brawl was about but they are always exciting.

Overall thoughts: It was your usual NWA episode. We had some random matches and wrestlers as always. The opener was alright. It had a story but the announcers forgot to talk about it so it came off as random when it wasn't. Morton won an acceptable match against McQueen. Smalls/Murdoch was stupid and both guys should have been DQ'd. Fenrir continues to look like a star in the making and his match with Swift was fine. The announcers did a good job of hyping up Dragon Nihan in the main and the match was about average. We then had a big locker room clearing brawl to close the show. We also had more non-wrestling segments where it's not clear what they are leading to or why we should care. I'll give show a 5 out of 10. The wrestling was acceptable and they did an okay job of recapping and building to future eps.
