Thoughts: It was a bit rushed here as they really had to manage their time well. The match was what you would expect with the faces doing flying and kicks. I thought they put out a good effort in this and thought it was a good pick for the opener.

We are told everyone is banned from ringside in the Thekla/Hayter match tonight.

Tony Schiavone talks to Lou Thesz's wife, Charlie Thesz in the front row. She says she loves the show and is happy to be back in St. Louis.

Thek tries to take the ref's belt. JH uranage backbreakers Thek for 2. Thek spears JH. Thek does her pose and runs into a lariat. JH hits a big lariat and wins.

Thoughts
: It was a lose-lose booking wise here as no one needed this loss yet someone was going to get it. I thought this went too long and I lost interest as it continued on and on. The outside brawling early on almost always lose the flow in a match and that is what happened here. I would have had Thekla win this.

Queen Aminata hugs JH after. Thek's partners then get on the ramp.

$500,000 Match - Jurassic Express (Jack Perry and Luchasaurus) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson and Nick Jackson)

We get some video of The Young Bucks' bank account with it saying they have insufficent funds and transaction denied. That ends up being their theme song.

Lucha takes a double superkick. Jack comes off the top and takes a double superkick. He then takes a BTE trigger for 2.

Matt takes a poisonrana then he is flipped into a sitout powerbomb and is pinned.

Thoughts: I hated this. It was your usual Bucks match where they do every spot possible and sell nothing. This went on forever and they kicked out of absolutely everything here. I fully expect Meltzer to give this a minimum of 5 stars. The build for this was also awful with them never really explaining why The Bucks turned on Jack other than The Bucks not answering phone calls.

Jack and Lucha offer a handshake after then The Don Callis Family nail the faces from behind.  Kenny Omega comes out and has words for The Bucks. He then ignores them (after they tried to kill him months ago) and goes after The Don Callis Family. The heels are then cleared off.

Tornado Trios Match - The Hurt Syndicate (Bobby Lashley, Shelton Benjamin, and MVP) vs. The Demand (Ricochet, Bishop Kaun, and Toa Liona)

The Hurt's are hit from behind as they walk down the aisle. MVP is sent into the rail. Toa is suplexed on the floor and sent into the steps. Toa throws Bob into the steps. SB lariats Kaun and takes a pumping knee. Ric running ssp's SB.

Bob is rammed into the rails. Bob belly to belly suplexes Kaun on the floor. Ric topes Bob. Kaun shoulders over Bob near the ramp. Bob is put on a table outside. SB takes a t-gimmick onto him, sending both through the table.

Bob rolling spears Toa. Ric is surrounded 1v3. Kaun pulls Ric out and takes the beating for him. Bob rolling spears Kaun and SB pins Kaun.

Thoughts
: It was alright match but it wasn't great. The superplex spot with Bob was dumb. SB's release suplex on Ric over the top was totally wild. There was a little downtime between some of the bigger spots here which hurt some of the flow to this. The Hurt's won as expected but it's not clear what either group will be doing after this.

Thoughts: It was a longer and slower match. As expected, they did too much here with Kyle kicking out of two jay dillers. I thought it was a bit boring at times.

El Clon poses with KF on the ramp then The Conglomeration help Mark to the back.

AEW Women's Title - Kris Statlander (c) vs Toni Storm

Toni does a video before the match in a detective hat and jacket. Kris also gets a pre-match video with space graphics and clips of her AEW career. Kris then comes out with two shirtless guys in headcovers. Toni has white facepaint on and black gloves.

Toni no sells it and germans her back. Kris spinning lariats her. Kris hits a tombstone and grounded headscissors + armbars her. Kris tombstones her and wins.

Thoughts
: It was another longer bout here. I didn't think it was anything special though it wasn't awful or anything. I didn't really see a clear story here. It didn't have a lot of exciting moments in this and was very toned down compared to other matches.

Mercedes Mone comes out with The Frat House dancing behind her with her titles. Mone congratulates her on the win but says she needs to get out of her ring. Kris then just leaves. Mone calls herself, "Ultimo Mone" and says she's the greatest TBS champ of all time. She asks which champ wants to put their title on the line against her. Mina Shirakawa then comes out after not being on TV much lately. Mina is the ROH Interim Women's Television champ.

Mone misses a meteora. Mina hits spinning forearms and head kicks her from behind. Mina uraken's her then figure fours her. Mone tries to pin her using the ropes and is caught. Mone eye pokes Mina and rolls her up for 2. Mina rolls her, goes for a figure four and is cradled for 2. Mina takes a mone maker for 2.

Mina rams Mone into the buckles. Mone backslides her and pins her using the ropes.

Thoughts: It was obvious Mone was going to win this from the start, adding yet another worthless title to collection. Mina did her usualy kneework based match but Mone got the edge and pinned her. This was another longer battle but was a bit more watchable than the last couple of bouts. I still can't say I loved this though.

Kris Statlander comes down and interrupts Mone's victory celebration. Mone goes to hit her, is stopped and suplexed. Kris then holds the title over her and Mone leaves.

King tope forearms KT then Band 21plex's KO to win.

Thoughts:
It went long and they did too much here. They did tell the story of Okada/Takeshita not getting along and eventually had Okada nail Takeshita here to really cement that one. It was all action here as expected with a lot of highlights. If they could have done about half of what they did, it probably would have been really good. I didn't like King being thrown around so much here.

Band and King dance after.

Toni Storm is interviewed after. She is asked where she goes from here and has no answer. Mina Shirakawa comes in. Toni says she lost everything and Mina says they have each other.

AEW World Title - "Hangman" Adam Page (c) vs Samoa Joe

Page sits up top and takes headbutts. Page hits deadeye on Joe for 2. Page hits 3 buckshot lariats and wins.

Thoughts:
This was oddly one of the few matches that didn't get the time to be a classic here. They didn't have a big ending sequence here or a ton of kickouts. The match was fine but Joe went down a lot easier than expected (and he had no shot of winning here anyway).

The Opps console Joe and help him up. Joe and Page shake hands. Joe and The Opps then turn on Page and beat the crap out of him. Page is held and Joe hits him with the title. Joe muscle busters Page. Page has to be helped to the back after.

Thoughts: The big problem with The Opps turning heel is that AEW already has a ton of heel factions and few faces to deal with them. There's Callis' crew, The Demand, The Death Riders and now The Opps. On the other side, there's only The Conglomeration. You could maybe say The Hurt Business as well, but they aren't exactly faces.

Mercedes Mone does a promo complaining about Kris ruining her night. She says she beat her twice and will come after her women's title. She says her title is hers.

I Quit Match - Darby Allin vs Jon Moxley

DA puts his AEW flag in the ring. Mox rubs his feet on it and DA dropkicks him. DA tope con hilos him through the ropes outside. Marina Shafir trips DA. DA is dropkicked in the corner by Mox. Mox punches DA with a chain. Mox wraps the chain around DA's mouth.

Mox stomps on DA and pulls his face/head hard into the middle rope. Mox talks trash as DA bleeds from the mouth. DA is thrown backwards into the steps. Moxp uts a skewer in DA's fingernail. Mox bites the finger and stomps it into a chair. DA jumps off the steps with a dropkick on him.

They trade forearms and slaps. Mox facekicks him. DA hits a code red. DA hangs Mox with the AEW flag over the top rope. Mox pokes DA in the eye to escape. DA then eye pokes him. DA hits mounted shots on the apron. DA misses a top rope coffin drop on the apron.

Mox whips him with a belt. Mox piledrivers him. Mox whips him more. DA goes for a coffin drop and is german suplexed. DA sprays lighter fluid in Mox's eyes and pours it on him. DG and Yuta try to help out and are sprayed. Mox cutters DA. Mox tries to rub the lighter fluid off.

Mox grabs a taser. Shafir low blows DA and Mox gets DA with the taser. Mox curbstomps DA then hits a nasty high angle death rider ddt on an open chair. Mox bulldog chokes DA. Claudio gorilla presses DA and throws him onto the commentary table. The table doesn't break and DA just bounces off.

Pac drags DA around the ring. Mox high angle ddt's DA off the apron through tables. Mox says DA is out of his mind and yells at him to quit. He says nobody but him cares about DA. Mox yells at him more. The Death Riders bring an empty aquarium in and pour water in it. Mox then tries to drown DA in it. Mox stupidly let him go, saying he can't win and tells himto say it. Mox tries to drown him more.

The lights go out. Sting appears with white hair and a white beard. He chokes Mox with a bat and hits The Death Riders with the bat. Sting then breaks the aquarium. Sting hands DA the bat. Shafir swings at Sting outside and Sting takes her to the back.

DA points the bat at Mox. DA hits him in the gut and the bat with it. DA hits him in the leg with it. DA scorpion deathdrops him. DA top rope coffin drops him. Mox then taps out to the scorpion deahtlock.

Thoughts: They went too far as expected and almost turned it into a parody at times. Mox and his crew came up with more and more over the top ways to hurt Darby yet somehow still couldn't do it with a multi-person advantage. Mox tapping out to a simple sharpshooter didn't really fit this one here when tasers and drowning attempts couldn't put Darby down. I don't know where Mox goes from here as he has now lost several times in a row in big matches.. It wasn't boring and it was a very dangerous match. I didn't like this overall.

Overall thoughts: This was a long PPV and definitely one for the sickos, and not the normal fan. If you watched the pre-show, there was 5.5 hours of action here. It took me more than one session to sit through it and it was more of an endurance contest than something for enjoyment. What was worse was that they did it at night instead of in the afternoon, which made it harder. I didn't like the show overall. Everything just went too long, the women didn't impress and the men all went too far...except for the world title match which didn't get that much time. I would say maybe The Hurt Syndicate's match was the best thing on here and The Bucks' match was the worst thing on here. I would give this a 5 out of 10 total and wouldn't recommend it.
