Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/10/wwf-superstars-of-wrestling-811992.html
We are in Glens Falls, NY. Mr. Perfect and Vince McMahon are our co-hosts. Vince says we are in time for Mick Jagger's birthday and Vince says he might be there at Summerslam. He makes puns with Mick's songs then Perfect joins in. Perfect says he will sit back and see what Macho and Warrior have to say. He says wild horses couldn't drag him away from this one.
Tatanka vs. Peter Motts
Tat chops him then slingshots him in to start. Pete misses a shot then is atomic dropped. Tat lariats him then hiptosses him. Tat slams him then hits a back body drop. Tat jumping chops him then Tat does an inset promo. He says Rick Martel has infuriated the great cheifs and spirits and he will take revenge for all of them. Tat hits a top rope chop on Pete then samoan drops him for the win.
Thoughts: It was a short one as usual with Tat winning. Pete got nothing in en route to losing.
We get an ad for WBD Body Star Wars (WWF vs WBF tug of war). Jim Duggan is at the event. He says his team is ready to pull some rope. He says Team WBF will win. Mr. Perfect says the WWF wrestlers are ready for this tug of war. He says we will know why they call him Mr. Perfect after.
WWF Update
Mean Gene Okerlund shills WWF WrestleFest '92. He gives tennis lesson to Bobby Heenan in this one. In yet another untelevised title change, we are told The Natural Disasters won the WWF Tag Titles last Monday in Worcestera, MA off-tv against Money Inc. Gene tries to interview Money Inc after the match. They are making noises and Jimmy Hart yells that they were robbed then closes the door on him.
The Natural Disasters are interviewed. Typhoon said Money Inc ran from them too many times and got caught. Quake says they will defend the titles anywhere against anybody and says they will keep the belts for a long long time.
Thoughts: This is at least the third off-tv title change in the last year. I don't know why they keep doing this other than them trying to stir up house show business, because it doesn't do much else otherwise.
Shawn Michaels vs. Phil Apollo
SM poses in his mirror before the match. SM pokes and piefaces Phil. Phil hits some punches and SM swinging neckbreakers him. SM hits a dropkick then hits him from behind off the apron.
Phil bangs SM's face off the buckles and misses a charge. SM top rope double axe handles Phil then hits a superkick. SM backdrops him and wins.
Thoughts: Phil lost as expected but it was nice to see him get some offense in. They pushed Bret vs Shawn all throughout this one.
We get another Razor Ramon video. He says everyone in the WWF wishes to be champ but they might as well be tossing their dinero in a wishing well. A guy is then sitting near a fountain and Razor pushes him in. He said he made a dream come true as he was dreaming of a swim. He said he will make his own dreams come true, not by wishing but by taking. He says he will take the WWF and everything in it.
WWF Event Center
Owen calls The Nasty Boys fat. He says they are High Energy as they are moving, grooving and going to the top. Koko B. Ware says The Nasty Boys and Money Inc. are looking for them. Owen says The Nasty's may be rough and tough but don't sell them short as they are going straight to the top.
The Repo Man says he can't stand summer as there's too much light. He says there's less darkness so there's less time to do his job. He says he's watching The British Bulldog and while Davey doesn't know where he is, he watches every move he makes. He said he got him once and is gonna get him again.
Summerslam Report
Gene says it's our inaugural Summerslam Report. Gene says he will talk with Macho and Warrior face to face later. Bret Hart vs The British Bulldog for the Intercontinental Title is announced.
Bret Hart does a promo. He said it'll be hard going into Wembley and hearing everyone cheer for Bulldog. He says The Bulldog is married to his sister. He says there's blood involved but he doesn't want bad blood. He says he will have to beat Davey in England for the title.
The British Bulldog does a promo. He says there's a lot of tension building in the families and says there can only be one champ at Summerslam. He says he's undefeated in England and says so may the best man win.
Gene says it'll be a brawl in the family then announces Kamala vs The Undertaker. The Undertaker and Paul Bearer do a promo. Paul says there won't be any problems shipping Kamala's remains back to Uganda. He says it may take a bigger casket but they can handle it. Taker says Kamala is a victim of circumstance and must be made an example that darkness rules.
They also announce Shawn Michaels vs Rick Martel. Rick Martel says Shawn is jealous of him as he's surrounded by the world's most beautiful woman while he has the truck stop beauty queen, Sherri. He said he had Bret Hart beat and Shawn cost him the title. He said he has to teach him manners and says he will do so. Gene said we can't get comments from Shawn as he has left the building.
Thoughts: These matches make no sense. For months, Ric Flair has been feuding with Macho Man and The Ultimate Warrior has been feuding with Papa Shango. Neither match is happening here. Bret Hart has been feuding with Shawn Michaels and is now facing The British Bulldog, who is currently feuding with The Repo Man. Shawn Michaels is facing Rick Martel, who is feuding with Tatanka and even has his feather. Taker has also been feuding with The Berzerker and that also appears to now be done with. There's no explaining this and is just yet another example of Vince being too concerned with other non-wrestling things and no longer caring about the booking. It's really disappointing because it makes covering these shows a complete waste of time as you get interested in feuds that never pay off. It also continues to create two separate worlds in the WWF where the house shows do not reflect what happens on TV.
Nailz vs. Jason Speed
The ref pats Nailz down. Nailz runs at Jason and chokes him. Jason is thrown backwards. Nailz kicks him while he's down and lariats him. Nailz puts him in a chinlock and makes him choke out.
Thoughts: It was quick and nothing too interesting. I don't know if Nailz is pretending to not know how to wrestle to sell his character or if he really doesn't, because there's not a lot to these squashes.
Nailz hits Jason with the night stick after and chokes him with it.
The ref bring a stretcher out. Mr. Perfect leaves the booth and Vince calls "Curt Hennig".
WWF Event Center
Mr. Fuji and The Berzerker do a promo. Fuji says Berz will take any opponent and crush them, especially The Undertaker. Berz says the people know who the toughest wrestler in the WWF is. He said Taker had a taste of him and asks how it feels to get dragged down and kicked on. He says he can't and won't be stopped.
The Mountie and Jimmy Hart do as promo. Hart says they get thousands of letters a day and the people want to know why Mountie calls his super shock stick "The Great American Scream Machine". He says because he likes to hear great American heroes scream.
The Mountie said he heard rumors that Sgt. Slaughter is mad and will get back at him. Mountie says Sarge is nothing and would be a hostage in his country. He says he's the order and always gets his man.
Mean Gene Okerlund talks to The Macho Man and The Ultimate Warrior on the stage. Macho and Warrior get in each other's faces and Gene separates them. Gene asks if we can expect a scientific match or a street fight.
Warrior says he will give Macho a chance to prove himself the best. He says he sees Macho as one of the best but can't see him as the best. Macho says he has a problem with that. He says Warrior may be the best in his mind but he says he will prove to him that he is better than the best.
Warrior says he rises in the morning with a vision that he goes to sleep with and that's the vision of becoming WWF champ again. He says he will realize this dream. Warrior brings up the past. Macho says the past is the past and says Warrior needs to worry about the present. Macho says he's the champ right now. He says the future will be nothing different as he knows who Warrior is and who he himself is. He says he's the champ and Warrior is not.
Warrior walks down the podium and grabs Gene. Ric Flair and Mr. Perfect then walk to the ring. Warrior gets back up on the stage. Perfect gets on the mic. He calls them both pansies. Perfect says he has a message for them. Flair asks if he heard them talking about being the best in the WWF with Flair and Perfect standing out here. Flair says they put him on the backburner. He says he has beaten guys with paint on his face his whole career. He says he's #1 and should have the title shot. Flair says Macho knows he could beat him for the belt easy then beat Warrior 5 minutes later. Perfect does a Macho voice and says he's The Macho Chicken.
Macho Man gets mad and runs down to the ring. He knocks over a camera guy and attacks Flair. Perfect takes his belt off and chokes Macho with it. Flair pounds on Macho. Warrior then comes down and nails Flair. Flair and Perfect the leave. Warrior grabs the WWF Title
Warrior goes to give Macho the title. Macho snatches it. They get in each others faces and butt heads. Macho shoves him away by the chin then refs and officials break it up.
Thoughts: It wasn't great or anything but at least it was something.
The Beverly Brothers (Beau Beverly & Blake Beverly) vs Chris Duffy and Red Tyler
Perfect comes back to the booth and says he was taking care of business. He says he needs to get his belt back too as it was $75. The Genius does a poem before the match. Perfect said it felt great to get a shot in on Macho.
Blake boots and clubs Duffy. Duffy is dropped throat first on the top rope then Blake hits elbow drops. Blake hits a belly to belly suplex. The Bev's do an inset promo. Blake says The LOD had to go to back to their past to bring a childhood friend. Beau says they will have to carry all 4 of The Legion of Sissies out.
Beau gutwrench suplexes Red and yells "L-O-S". He bangs Red's face off the mat and hits a double underhook suplex. Red takes a shaker heights spike and is pinned.
Thoughts: It was all squash as usual with them pushing The Bev's vs The LOD.
Red gets his face painted by The Bev's after and has "LOS" written on hi chest.
The newest WBF Magazine is available this week.
WWF Event Center
Papa Shango does a promo on The Ultimate Warrior. He says Warrior's mind might be on other things but he controls Warrior's mind. He says he can enter his body at any time. He says to beware of Papa Shango and beware of voodoo.
The Big Boss Man does a promo. He says he stands tall for law, order and justice. He says Nailz came from prison to try and hurt him. He says he has news for him. He says law and order has been around since the beginning of time and it always will. He says Nailz will serve hard time.
Vince and Perfect talk about next week's show which has an interview with The Undertaker.
Overall thoughts: It was a more noteworthy show than usual with them announcing some of the Summerslam card and us getting an angle with Flair/Warrior/Macho/Perfect. The Summerslam card is a total disappointment though as it has nothing to do with what has been building on TV, making the last few months after Mania a total waste of time. As always, there was nothing but squashes going on in the ring and I wouldn't recommend this one.
