Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-lfg-9282025-season-2-episode-14.html
The playoffs continue this week.
Shawn Michaels talks to the coaches and rookies. He puts over Dani's performance last week and gives her a point. Dani says the competition is hers and she will take it because she is better than the other women.
The Undertaker sits down with Drake Morreaux and Shiloh Hill. Taker says it's put up or shut up. Taker says Drake's highs have been high but his lows are equally as low. He asks why he should move Drake along. Drake says he's been busting his @ss. Hill says he's the only guy who knows what it's like to be to the finals, and be the one to make it to the finals and lose. Taker asks Drake why he shouldn't pick Hill. Drake says him and Hill should be the finals. Taker asks if they are killers and tells them to lock in. He says it could be the most important moment in their careers.
Hill says he sees himself as the frontrunner. Drake says they are the 2 best in the competition. He says he will shake his hand then punch him in the mouth. He says tonight isn't about being friends, it's about surviving and advancing.
Drake Morreaux vs Shiloh Hill
Booker says he sees nothing in Hill.
Hill and Drake lock up. They shoulder battle and Hill knocks him over. Hill hits a corner spear then side slams him for 2. Drake running dropkicks him and Booker yells about how Drake is money. Hill running forearms Drake. They trade shots. Hill swinging neckbreakers him then hits a standing inverted flip on him for 2.
Drake jack knifes him for 2 and spinning lariats him for 2. Drake misses a vader bomb style splash. Hill backdrop lifts him into a neckbreaker and wins.
Thoughts: These two have styles that work together and they had a decent heavyweight match here. This was fine.
Booker picks Drake. McCool says she doesn't know who she would pick. Taker says Shiloh had a bad night and said Drake put it all together today. He says Shiloh has the best chance to win and is moving on. He says Drake is discouraged but shouldn't be. He should what he could do and it's not the end, it's another step up. Drake says it stings as he wants to be on the big stage.
Thoughts: Both of these guys really should be on NXT already. I think there's more money in Hill longterm as I think Drake will get slotted as a midcard or tag guy.
Booker talks to Chris Island and Harlem Lewis. He says he wants to see if Chris is that dog. He asks what he's willing to do. Chris says anything and everything. Harlem says Chris doesn't know him and isn't his friend. He says he never liked Chris and says he got 0 points. Chris says he has 0 points. Harlem says he's not a killer and he can pretend if he wants to. Booker says he heard enough talk.
Harlem then wonders what Chris has to done to make him respect him. Harlem says it's time to do it for himself and not Chris. Booker says he wants to see who hits who in the mouth.
Harlem Lewis vs Chris Island
CI armrags him and tells him to say his name. Har is put in a hammerlock and they fight over a top wristlock. Har shoulders him over. CI enzugiri's him in the corner and goes over the top with it. CI monkey flips him then lariats him for 2. Har lariats him from behind and hits chops.
Har samoan drops him for 2. Har facelocks him. CI hit some shots to the body. CI belly to belly suplexes him for 2. CI flying shoulders him then slams him. CI cradles him off a suplex attempt but Har holds on and jackhammers him for the win.
Thoughts: Chris got most of the offense in here. It was one of his better showings. Harlem didn't get much in. It was fine and Chris showed something for a change here.
Booker T has to pick one guy to advance. Bubba says neither outshined the other and says both gave it their all and had a good match. Taker said both showed up. McCool says both should be proud of themselves.
Booker asks if Chris has advanced. He says Chris has improved but he's picking Harlem. He says it's not the end for him. Chris says it's okay in a post-segment interview. He says he will just do him and either fall or fly. Harlem says he wants the contract.
Thoughts: Harlem has already made Evolve TV and this season seems like it was made to help get him over. He'd be my pick to advance. I'm still not seeing it with Chris though.
Michell McCool sits down with Trill London and Anthony Luke. Luke says he's sorrry for what comes next. McCool says she's struggling and says they are tied for first. She says this decision is the last thing she wants to do. Trill says he will do it for her. McCool says someone needs to make a decision for her as she's in the middle. Luke says there's a difference between him and Trill and it's that he loves this. He says nobody is on his level and Trill's time is coming. Luke says everyone knows it's his time.
Trill says Luke didn't come runner-up on Season 1. Luke says he has been knocked down but got back up. Trill says he can get knocked down again. Luke gets mad. Trill says he just does him and says Luke has to do everything to get people to cheer for him. McCool says this isn't helping and says to help take it out in the ring.
Anthony Luke vs Trill London
They lock up. Luke backs him up in the corner. Trill piefaces him. Trill spins around him and side headlocks him. Luke pulls the hair and headlocks him. Luke shoulders Trill over. Trill headbusters him when he does a leapfrog and basement dropkicks him. Trill flips over his back and flips out of the casadora. Luke back elbows him. Luke hits a corner lariat.
Trill 2nd rope crossbodies him for 2. Trill is pulled into the ropes. Trill skins the cat out of a baseball slide and does a 2nd rope whisper in the wind. Trill comes off the top and takes a single leg dropkick in mid-air.
They trade shots. Trill dropkicks him then hits a side effect. Trill hits a top rope swanton for 2 when Luke's foot is on the ropes. Trill is crotched up top. Luke 2nd rope superplexes him. Luke hits an ore ga taue and wins.
Thoughts: It a solid match here. Trill continues to look like the next big thing and is just so different from anyone else. It's hard for anyone to beat Trill's flash and all people like Luke can do is just be along for the ride.
McCool has to pick someone to move on after. Taker and Booker say it's a tough decision but Bubba disagrees. McCool cries while trying to pick someone. She picks Anthony Luke to move ahead.
Thoughts: This show is a work and no one is going home so it doesn't matter that much. Trill's going to be huge someday but they can hold him back until he gets more seasoning. I'd really like to see Luke in some long matches to see what he can really do.
Bubba Ray Dudley talks to BJ Ray. BJ throws a chair out. He says it's just him and Bubba as Elijah is injured and out. BJ says Bubba has no choice and has to pick him. BJ says it feels good. He said he put his best foot on but it didn't pay off. BJ goes to leave and Bubba grabs him by the arm.
Bubba said he had high hopes for him. Bubba said he just reminded him why nobody can stand him. BJ then walks off. Bubba said he had something up his sleeve. We then see Bubba talking to Elijah, saying he has BJ where he wants him.
BJ and Elijah Holyfield are in the ring. BJ says look who we have here. He tells the ref to raise Elijah's hand but says Eli can't raise his hand. BJ says he bounced back from an injury and said if he was his father, he'd be embarassed. BJ tells the ref to raise his hand as he will move on.
Bubba gets on the mic and says to put BJ's hand down. Bubba says BJ isn't moving on, he's having a match tonight. We go to break and return and it's:
BJ Ray vs Drake Morreaux
They say Drake is now representing Team Bubba Ray. BJ is looking in the corner and Drake rolls up BJ to win.
Thoughts: It's all a work...but it was an entertaining angle. I guess this and what follows it is the send off angle for BJ. Hopefully he gets on NXT or Evolve for it.
BJ gets on the mic and says screw you to Bubba then says to turn the swamp music off. BJ says Drake is a bum and says he's Bubba's little princess. BJ says the coaches are the worst he has ever seen. He says screw you to Bubba and says he hates him. He says he's the worst coach he has ever had. He said he told him if he touched him again in Season 1, he'd end him. He dares him to come and put a hand on him.
Bubba comes in the ring and asks BJ, now what? Bubb says BJ is right and he's wrong. Drake slams BJ. Zena Sterling comes down. Bubba puts his Dudley glasses on Drake and Zena. Taker's mouth has dropped. Drake does the wazzup spot to BJ. Bubba then says, "get the tables". BJ takes a double chokeslam through a table. Taker is again shocked.
Bubba walks to the back with Zena and Drake and says great job.
Overall thoughts: The show was entertaining. It killed any credibility it had as a being a legitimate show here though. Luke/Trill was the best match of the night and none of the match were bad. We also had a wild ending here with BJ Ray. I wouldn't recommend it but I'm curious where things go from here.
