Next week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2025/09/wwe-nxt-9232025.html
We get a video on the history of NXT at Full Sail. we then see clips of the current NXT crew. Joe Hendry is listed with them so I guess he's officially a roster member now.
Triple H comes out. He says this place is something special. He says the fans are special and says they are why NXT is stronger than ever. He says we turned it from a whisper into an undeniable roar.
He says the fans' passion allowed NXT to takeover. He said the fans were the ones that shouted, "We are NXT". He thanks the fans.
Shawn Michaels comes out. He says he knows Triple H has been busy selling out Raw and SD and making billion dollar deals. He says him and the NXT stars are ready to steer this ship into the future. HHH says they are knocking it out of the park and lighting it on fire. The crowd chants, "Thank You, Shawn". HHH says what if he said he wanted to come back?
Shawn says then we would have a big problem. William Regal, former NXT GM, comes out. Regal says he knows how to settle this and says, "Wargames".
Charlotte Flair comes out and Alexa Bliss follows. The crowd chants, "Welcome Home". Flair and Bliss argue about arguing. Flair says the women have always run NXT. Flair brings up The Four Horsewomen and names other girls. Bliss says the women have always been the backbone of NXT. She says if you aren't down with that, we got two words for ya and the crowd says, "suck it".
The Culling are in the back. Tatum sees Lyra Valkyria, they hug and Izzi pulls Tatum away.

TP knocks CF off the apron. TP hits a tequila shot on AB.
AB forearms TP then hits sister abigail to win.
Thoughts: We knew the NXT crew wasn't winning here and they didn't. It was okay but nothing too special. The tag champs didn't really do all that much here.
Zaria and Sol Ruca argue in the back. Zar says that could have been them. Lainey Reid comes in. She says she will beat Candice LeRae. LeRae comes in and says she can't beat her. Shayna Baszler comes in and tells them to save it. She points out Sol being a double champ. She says to fix this and says to apologize. She says fix it and you will get everything you want.
TrickMelo Gang (Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes) vs DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa)
Ciampa comes out with yellow and black facepaint.
JG trips Melo. They avoid kicks and stand off. Melo boots him. Melo drops down and Trick dropkicks JG. TC thesz presses Trick and hits punches. TrickMelo get it from the apron and JG topes both. DIY then pat themselves on the back.

JG nearly superkicks TC. Trick leg lariat DIY then spinning facekicks TC. JG takes a flapjack. Trick pop-up uppercuts TC. Melo hits a la mistica facebuster on TC after tagging himself in. TrickMelo shake hands and hug. Trick then gives him an evil look and jumps over Melo's back with a lariat on JG. Trick electric chairs TC and Melo springboard twisting lariats TC for 2.
TC pumping knees Melo. TC powerbomb backbreakers him for 2. TC hits an angel's wings on Trick. Melo saves Trick from a meet in the middle. Melo takes on DIY alone then is caught with a shatter machine. Melo takes a meet in the middle for 2.
Trick and TC hit shots on each other. The Miz comes out and hits a skull crushing finale on JG outside. Melo then hits a nothing but net legdrop on JG and pins him.
Thoughts: It didn't quite have time to be an epic but it was a fun tag. They had some nice double teams and it was cool to see Trick and Melo team up again. The Miz coming out made sense and got him on the show.
Sami Zayn is interviewed. He says it's emotion to be back here. He said he had one of his favorite matches when he won the NXT Title in this building. He says there's so much potential in this building. He says Je'Von Evans reminds him of himself.
Josh Briggs says Sami is wrong. He says he's a bum and a kid. Evans then jumps on Josh and security stops it. Sami said he came here to talk to Evans. He says Evans has heart and a big future in front of him. He says it won't come easy but the sky's the limit. He wishes him luck.

Page's head is superkicked into the buckles. TB spinningheel kicks him for 2. TB is crotched up top and takes a bridging cutter. Page wins.
Thoughts: I liked it. It was a fun bout and Breeze did well as a face. Breeze should be on this show weekly as he hasn't lost a step and could definitely help out in a way similar to what Page is doing.
Page and Wagner hold their titles up at the other after.
Tavion Heights is in the back and Damian Priest goes up to him. DP says he's close to making it to the next level. DP says he spoke to Ava and it's Tav vs Page for the North American Ttile at No Mercy. He tells him to talk to him if he has advice and Tav talks as we cut away.
The Grayson Waller Effect
GW calls himself the most talented star in NXT history and says this is the best show in NXT history. He says he never stepped foot in Full Sail but says it wasn't good until he arrived.
Oba Femi and Ricky Saints are in the ring. GW says Ricky is a Teemu verion of him. He asks if Oba-rated or Ricky Soft will win at No Mercy. Oba says he doesn't think RS is special. He says he can't help but be underwhelmed by him. He says he breathes this title and RS has only looked past this brand so he can carry Cody's bags. He says he will show him the door so he can carry as many bags as he wants, but he can't carry the title.
RS says Oba isn't familiar with his game. He says Oba is pampered athlete. He says things don't work out the way Oba wants. He says a delay is not a denial though. He says he won't be delayed or denied at No Mercy, he will be the NXT champ.
Trick Williams comes out. He says Oba is holding something that still belongs to him. He says he needs to mind his own business. He says RS is here only because Trick and Oba made NXT hot again. Waller says he will ask Ava and Santino about a title for title match with Trick and Oba next week and says he will ask about RS getting the winner.
Oba says he will beat him and take the TNA Title then challenge RS after. He says that's the Oba Femi rub.
Thoughts: A title vs title match needs to be built up big and I don't want to see it happen this quickly. They showed a bunch of tweets from TNA wrestlers during this who were not happy about the title vs title match.
Wren Sinclair tells Charlie Dempsey they need a fresh start. She mentions a new look. Charlie Dempsey says he needs to go to Japan for a month and she needs to hold down the fort. Bobby Roode comes in. She asks him to do the glorious pose and music hits when he does. She says it's like Joe Hendry then Joe shows up.
Bobby says seeing Joe walk down the aisle with the TNA Title at Mania was glorious. He says Joe needs to focus on the NXT Title and he'll be rooting for him. Joe says it means a lot to him that someone of his stature thinks he can do it. Dempsey tells Wren not to do anything he wouldn't while he's gone.
Lexis King is in the ring. He calls himself the flesh and blood and face of NXT. He says the black and gold era of NXT is overrated and doesn't stand up to the standard of today. They announced Trick vs Oba with the NXT Title vs the TNA Title for next week.
DarkState are interviewed in the back. The interviewer brings up Joe Hendry and they say they aren't worried about him. Montez Ford comes in. They ask if he has a problem. Ford says he sees the NXT Tag Titles and says him and Dawkins made a lot of memories here. He says they are home together and he wish he knew how that felt. He says they need to worry about the targets on their backs.
Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Jazmyn Nyx) vs Stephanie Vaquer, Lyra Valkyria and Rhea Ripley
Tiffany Stratton was supposed to be in this but was pulled. Bianca Belair is in the crowd for this.
The faces get hit before it starts. Rhea is sent into the post and cannonballed on. Nyx hits SV from behind. Nyx is then senton'd by Jacy for 2. SV does a bridge pin on Jacy for 2. Jacy flying headscissors her. Jacy backsplashes her in the corner.
SV bangs Jacy's head off the buckles and dropkicks her. Lyra crossbodies Jacy. She hits kicks on Fallon and Nyx. Lyra cartwheel on Jacy and step up enzugiri's her. Rhea headbutts Fallon down. Nya slaps Rhea then is superkicked by SV.
Rhea does a razor's edge on Nyx onto her partners on the ramp. We go to PiP break and return. Nyx tries to sunset flip Lyra. Lyra rolls out and is PK'd for 2. Lyra takes a double boot then a double flapjack and double facebuster. Jacy running facekicks Lyra for 2.

Rhea and SV get offense in on Fallon and Jacy. Lyra dropkicks Nyx through the ropes. SV and Rhea do stereo devil's kisses to Fallon and Nyx.
Fallon's head is banged off the commentary table and apron. Jacy runs from Rhea on the ramp. Lola Vice comes out and stops Jacy from running. Lola urakens her in the chest. Rhea hits a riptide on Jacy and wins.
Thoughts: Like the other matches here, it didn't get a ton of time but what we got was fun. The big spot here was Rhea and SV doing the devil's kiss together. The heels lost as expected here.
Oba and Trick Williams stare down in the back with Regal, ava, Stone and Stevie watching. Oba says may the best man win and Trick says he will.
Overall thoughts: It was a fun show as expected with various cameo's and old stars coming back. It's pretty cool that NXT is old enough now that they can do their own nostalgia shows. There were no bad matches here and this one was what I was hoping for. This gets an easy 7 out of 10 from me and is worth seeing.
