Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling 2/10/2022 - Positive Chain '22

I skipped one match here.

Up Up Girls came out as usual to perform.

Moka Miyamoto vs. Arisu Endo

They mat wrestle and stare down to start. Moka hits some corner forearms and a slam then Endo comes back with a dropkick. Endo does a silly double axe hammer drop. Moka hits a leg lariat and gets dropkicked in the gut. Moka does a karate block and gut punches her then Endo presses down a knee on the back of her head.

Endo does a double jump missile dropkick for 2 then camel clutches her. Moka hits a bad neckbreaker off a reversal then ground octopus holds her for the win. This wasn't good.

Suzume vs. Yuki Arai

Arai tries to roll out of a wristlock and Suzume rolls with her, then they stare down after. Suzume does a nice takedown then gets shoulder blocked. They pound on each other in the corner and Suzume hits a nice dropkick.

Arai hits a slam and some weak face kicks. Suzume puts her in a sleeper. Suzume goes up top and gets thrown down to the mat. Arai sharpshooters her then goes for an axe kick but is rolled-up. Suzume hits a dropkick then top rope crossbodies her for 2. Arai comes back with her own dropkick and slows her down.

They trade chest forearms and Suzume does a springboard bulldog. Suzume goes for a bulldog but takes a stiff full nelson bomb. Arai then axe kicks her and wins it.

This wasn't too bad for idol standards with Suzume having a lot of energy. Both are cute and Arai really needs to work on hitting kicks with some actual force behind them.

NEO Biishiki-gun (Sakisama & Mei Saint-Michel) vs. Raku & Pom Harajuku

Mei handsprings into a gut kick early and grabs her by the hair then poses. Raku puts Mei to sleep and Pom and Raku walk on her then do sleeping pin poses on her. Mei gets thrown into Saki and they dance and pose then Raku tries to put Saki to sleep. Saki doesn't fall for it though then drops asleep a minute later.

Mei tries to use her metal pan but the ref stops it. Raku and Pom jump off the apron on Mei but she hits them with the pan. Saki is still asleep and Mei wakes her up with the ring bell. Saki slaps Pom with a rose then Pom slips on Mei's metal pan.

Saki puts Pom in the world's sexiest headscissors and Mei tries to hold the ropes back so Pom can't grab them. Saki then kicks Pom hard in the back and pins her with her foot for 2.

Mei bodyscissors Pom then rolls her around. Raku hits some weak chops on Saki and a weak russian leg sweep. Saki hits another kick to the back  then Raku puts Saki in Kevin Mask's submisson from Ultimate Muscle. Saki nails Raku with a face kick then mei crossbodies her. Mei climbs around on the bottom rope then splashes her for 2.

Mei does a dosey-do with Raku and gets chopped for it. Raku then spins her and facebusters her. Pom does a 2nd rope armdrag and dropkicks her. She then puts her in a knee keylock and Mei gets out and drops double knees on her back. Pom and Raku hit double throat chops then Pom does a weird roll-up for 2 on Mei.  Pom misses a leg drop and takes the penalty kick from Saki.

Mei does an assisted hurricanrana off the 2nd rope and gets the win.

This had lots of goofiness and comedy. It wasn't believable and it wasn't supposed to be, but it had its charm and they didn't screw up.

Miyu Yamashita, Nao Kakuta & Marika Kobashi vs. Shoko Nakajima and Magical Sugar Rabbits (Yuka Sakazaki & Mizuki)

Marika dropkicks Yuka early then Mizuki gets on her back and she runs into the other corner to punch their opponents. Everyone then gets on Yuka's back and they splash Marika. Yuka's team all then does stereo dives. Nao throws Mizuki by the hair and Mizuki handsprings out of it the second time. She tries to crossbody her but Nao puts her boot up.

Nao dropkicks Mizuki then facekicks her. Nao then double bulldogs Yuka and Mizuki. Mizuki hits a nice turnaround springboard crossbody then Shoko jumps off of Nao's back to dropkick her opponents on the apron. Nao hits a hammerlock flatliner on Shoko then Miyu hits kicks on Shoko. Miyu then hits the screw kick on Shoko for 2.

Shoko bulldogs Miyu into the buckle then missile dropkicks her off the top. Miyu then does a nice jump off the buckle to kick Shoko. Shoko hurricanrana's her. Miyu did a WILD top rope F-U, like I've never seen before. Looked totally dangerous. Then she high kicked her and took a Mizuki headscissors.

Miyu deadlift german suplexed Shoko then Marika did a shining wizard on Yuka for 2. Yuka put her in the tree of woe but Marika moved then hit her with a bulldog. Yuka hit a real nice brainbuster on Marika then Miyu spinning high kicked Shoko. Miyu ran into a nice exploder/slam from Mizuki. Yuka hit a cool spinning sitout facebuster on Marika and won it.

This was fast paced and fun. Nice trios match here with everyone getting to show off a bit. Miyu's top rope F-U was insane.

International Princess Championship Match: Maki Itoh (c) vs. Yuki Kamifuku

The finish

They stare down and Itoh slaps her. Maki fires some forearms at her and Yuki throws some bad forearms back. Yuki stiffs her with a dropkick in the corner then hits another stiff one. They go outside and Yuki pokes her in the eye and pounds on her. Yuki then goes hard into the post. Yuki then got slammed on the exposed floor.

Ito puts her in the boston crab the misses a top rope headbutt. Yuki puts her in an octopus but Itoh can't really stay up. Ito bridge ddt's her off the 2nd rope then tornado ddt's her. Maki grabs Yuki by the hair and gets slapped for it. Maki smiles at her and then headbutts her hard before putting her in a lion tamer. Yuki gets handed a phone (with Maki's mom on it supposedly) and she talks on it while she is at the ropes. Maki then talks on it and gets rolled up while she does for 2.

Maki ddt's her and gets rolled up for 2. Yuki hits a fameasser then a roll-up for 2. Maki puts her in a lion tamer style texas cloverleaf for the win.

I didn't like the comedy here and it would have been a decent one without it. Both were stiff here.

They talk on the mic after and Yuki talks in English some. Yuki then eye pokes her and leaves. They then set up Arai vs Itoh.

2nd “Futari wa Princess” Max Heart Tournament Final: BAKURETSU Sisters (Nodoka Tenma & Yuki Aino) vs. Hakuchumu (Miu Watanabe & Rika Tatsumi)

This was dubbed, "The Diaper-pult"

Nodoka gets dropkicked and then booted by Rika in the corner. Rika hits some good forearms then gets headlocked by Nodoka. Nodoka and her partner double hiptoss then double splash Rika for 2. Rika hit Aino with a butt bump then Miu came in. Miu armdragged Aino.

Rika hit a big slam on Aino then Miu got one in too. Miu and Rika then double elbowed Aino and Rika butt bumped her as she hung off the apron. Miu threw Rika into Nodoka and Nodoka crossbodied both of them. Aino picked up Miu for a slam, bounced her off the ropes then slammed her. She then Vader bombed her off the 2nd rope at 10 minutes. Aino got caught off the buckles then took a fast giant swing from Miu.

Miu and Aino rammed shoulders then Aino side suplexed Miu. Aino put Miu in a camel clutch with a full nelson. Miu hit another big slam on Aino. Rika got thrown into the buckles but she jumped onto the 2nd buckle during it and rebounded with a butt bump. Aino bulldogged her then Nodoka hit a big shoulder on Rika. Nodoka hit a splash off the 2nd rope. Rika then put Nodoka in the figure four.

Rika and Nodoka trade chest forearms then Rika butt bumped her.  Nodoka hit Rika with a stiff fallaway slam then Nodoka backdropped Aino onto Rika for 2. Miu got hit with a top rope facebuster onto Rika for a 2 count. Rika then hit a cutter on Nodoka and put her in the dragon sleeper, which Aino broke up.

Rika got squashed between her two opponents and Rika's team made a comeback. Rika and Miu then hit some kind of powerbomb/ddt combo and Rika hit a top rope butt bump for the win.

They hit their spots here and didn't mess up anything. There was some decent parts to it, but it wasn't exactly a smart match nor did it have that much logic in it. It wasn't a bad effort and was probably good for TJPW standards.

They set up Rika and Miu vs The Magical Sugar Rabbits after.

Overall thoughts: This ran about 2.5 hours. It was much better than the last time I saw TJPW though you still have to grade it on a curve. And if you are looking for serious wrestling, well you are not in the right place. Really, most of the show was okay and I'd watch TJPW again.
