Dragon Gate 2/11/2022 - Truth Gate Day 4

Dragon Gate 2/11/2022 - Truth Gate Day 4

Shisa Boy, Ishin Iihashi and Riki Iihashi vs Keisuke Okuda, Ben-K and Yamato

Okuda pops Ishin right in the jaw early. Riki tries to shoulder battle Ben but gets knocked over. Shisa headscissors Yamato down then Yamato takes a 3v1 in the corner. Riki and Yamato trade chops. Ben gutwrenches Riki, Okuda kicks him while he is lifted and Ben does a totally wild and dangerous throw on him.

Ben single leg crabs Riki who hits the ropes. Ishin springboard dropkicks Ben then Shisa hits a neat spin kick on Okuda. Shisa handstands in the corner and headscissors Okuda then Ishin helps Shisa flip for a sliced bread #2. Ben hits a bad double spear then shoulder rop's Riki for a Yamato face kick.

Riki gets pump kicked then brainbustered by Yamato for the loss. It was alright with some fast action but we all knew who was winning here.

Yosuke Santa Maria and Eita vs La Estrella and Jason Lee

Eita walks to the back instead of teaming with Yosuke and I don't really blame him. Lee and Estrella try some pin attempts early and Estrella does a crucifix submission on Yosuke. Lee hits a nice dropkick. Eita comes back as the 2v1 continues.

Estrella sunset flips YSM and he tries to do something gross, then Lee dropkicks him and knocks him over. Lee gets in and does his palm thrust combo on YSM then dropkicks him from the buckles. Eita finally gets in and Estrella reverse tope's him and standing moonsaults him.

Lee twisting fisherman's busters him and Estrella rolls up YSM after a distraction.

This was a stupid match that made no sense. Eita could have lost the match when he was not at ringside so he didn't care, then he just comes in anyway and they lose.

Z-Brats (BxB Hulk, SB Kento, Diamante and Shun Skywalker) vs Ultimo Dragon, Strong Machine J, Ryu Fuda and Takuma Fujiwara

Hulk flurries on Fuda to start then Fuda fires back with kicks. Hulk exploders him. Takuma springboard headscissors Diamante. J hits a nice back elbow to SBK. Diamante does a big back body drop on Takuma then Hulk hits a spinning high kick on Takuma.

Hulk then puts Takuma in a nasty looking camel clutch variation but Takuma hits the ropes. Shun and Takuma trade hard forearms  then Shun just slaps him. Takuma then comes back with a perfect dropkick. Ultimo and SBK come in and Ultimo puts his hand up to SBK's face to distract him then spin kicks him. Ultimo fighs off a 2v1 and dragon screws Hulk. Diamante then takes a huge jerry bump outside.

J hits a nice spin kick on Shun then Fuda lights up SBK with kicks. SBK takes a double team and gets springboard dropkicked by Takuma. Diamante springboard double dropkicks 2 opponents then tilt-a-whirl backbreakers Fuda. Fuda gets double kicked by Hulk and Shun then gets reverse slammed for 2.

Shun hits a great tiger driver on Fuda then Fuda rolls up SBK for a nice nearfall. SBK hits the spinebuster on him then submits him with a sharpshooter for the win.

This was a fun match. It sped up as it went along and the finishing stretch was real fast paced. Takuma looked great here.

Dragon Kid & Yasushi Kanda vs. Dragon Dia & Yuki Yoshioka

Kid and Yuki do some reversals and stand off to start things. Dia does a nice armdrag and tries to flip off Kanda on a dropkick but can't. Kanda takes a spin kick > bulldog > running SSP 2v1 combo. Then he and Yuki get into a chop battle with Yuki taking him down with a big forearm.

Dia and Kanda trade forearms and Kid double axe handles Dia's arm off the top. Kid does his handstand capoeira double knee to Dia then Kid dropkicks him in the corner with Dia's head on the buckle. Kanda and Dia trade shots and Dia tries a spinning headscissors but Kanda sideslams him.

Yuki gets in and hits a nice dropkick on Kid. Kid goes for a springboard and gets another dropkick. Kanda rakes Yuki in the eyes then does a john woo dropkick and Kid spins Yuki with a ddt. Dia takes on both opponents in a neat move then cartwheel elbows Kanda. Dia moonsaults off of Yuki's back for a 2 on Kanda. Dia then plancha's Kanda and Yuki hits a neat jumping lariat on Kanda. He then cross-arm brainbusters Kanda and does a top rope splash for the win.

This was timed about right and was fine. This wasn't anything too special and I'm not exactly sure how the team of Kid and Kanda came to be here.

Natural Vibes (BIG BOSS Shimizu & Kzy) vs. Z-Brats (H.Y.O & KAI)

Shimizu gives Kai an odd clean break. Shimizu does his folded arm pose a few times after shoulder blocks and Kai rightfully gets annoyed with it. Hyo challenges Kzy to a shoulder block battle after they both do the pose then claps in front of his face and throws him down by the hair. Kzy then forearms him and does the pose again.

Shimizu throws Hyo on a fallaway slam. things slow down and Kzy gets rammed into the apron by other Z-Brats members. Things really slowed down as the heels got heat on Kzy and Hyo was hiptossed onto Kzy. Kzy then got DDT'd by Kai. Kzy hits some forearms on Kzy and a euro uppercut.

Shimizu came in and hit some body blocks and him and Kai lariated each other at the same time.S shimizu lifted him for a suplex. Hyo took some corner charges then a fireman's carry sitout slam. Shimizu then danced and splashed Hyo, but Kai broke it up.

Kai and Shimizu exchanged lariats then Shimizu hit a sidewalk slam. Kai rolled up Shimizu for 2 then Shimizu popped-up Hyo for a Kzy euro uppercut. Kzy did a flip dive to the outside then Shimizu hit a big splash on Hyo for the win.

The second half of this really dragged until the finish when they picked up the pace a little. I don't know what the goal of Z-Brats is, but it just seems like a way to repackage RED. I don't see this group being around a long time.

Kaito Ishida, Kota Minoura & Naruki Doi vs. Natural Vibes (Jacky Funky Kamei, Susumu Yokosuka & U-T)

Doi, Kaito and Kota are going to be a unit going forward, but they haven't revealed a name for them yet.

Jacky missed a dropkick on Kaito then hit a spinning headscissors and a dropkick. UT did a double axe handle drop on Doi's arm then Doi's team did stereo dropkicks while Kamei was down.

Kota put Kamei in a chinlock for a while until Susumu broke it up. Kamei was beat down for a while then was popped up and dropkicked Kota and tagged out. Susume came in and hit some lariats then an exploder on Kaito. UT hit a zig zg on Kaito. Jacky hit his kick flurry move on Kaito in the corner and Kaito was put down into the mat by it.

Susumu hit Kaito with a top rope exploder then Jacky did an SOS kick on Kaito for 2. Jacky ended up taking some corner charging moves and Doi senton atomico'd him. Jacky got a surprise roll-up on Doi but it was broken up then Kota waterwheel dropped Susumu onto Jacky.

Doi's crew did some stupid triple team combo out of the wheelbarrow position and Kota won it with an air raid crash.

This wasn't good except for the last 2 minutes and everyone here was super lazy. This is hardly the kind of showing a new unit should have.

Overall thoughts: Not a good one here. A whole lot of people were just phoning it in since the matches all were between 10-15 minutes. The main was just a very poor effort.
