Ice Ribbon 2/12/2022 - New Ice Ribbon #1179
2022年2月12日 『アイスリボン1179』道場マッチ
I just subscribed to Ice Ribbon's and Pure-J's channels, so expect more content from both. Ice Ribbon has a $10 a month channel on youtube. There's no content except for this yet since it just debuted this week. They promise live dojo shows each week along with some old uploads. Ice Ribbon used to only have shows on niconico, so this should help them grow.
Hamuko Hoshi & Kiku vs. Banny Oikawa & Misa Kagura
Kiku's older and Hamuko is a longtime IR vet. Banny used to be a ref and Misa is a QT from Just Tap Out.
Banny and Kiku trade leg kicks to start. Ham and Misa lock up and Ham keeps doing poses at Misa, which shocks her. Ham smothers her with her gut on the 2nd rope. Ham and Kiku do running corner moves then ram their butts into Misa in the corner.
Misa jumping elbows Kiku then sentons her. Ham boston crabs Misa but Misa hits the ropes. Ham lariats her and Misa sits on her back with a reverse double armbar. She then rolls her up for 2. Banny crossbodies Ham then chokes her with her leg while she armbars her and Ham hits the ropes.
Banny hits some kicks on Ham and gets hit with Ham's gut. Banny armdrags her then gets body blocked and Kiku dropkicks Banny. Kiku puts Banny in the figure four and both Misa and Ham splash the girls in it. They then fight and go outside. Banny and Kiku trade kicks then Banny dropkicks her. Ham hits a shining gut attack then Kiku neckbreakers Banny at 10 minutes. Banny then gets locked up and Misa breaks it.
Misa gets sandwiched between a lariat and a kick then Banny hits a nice spin kick on Ham. She ddt's Kiku and messes up a pin to win it.
They worked a fast pace here but Misa didn't get a lot of time. Banny and Hamuko's stuff was all very crisp but Kiku really needs to work on her kicks as she looks super hesitant.
Asahi & Kaho Matsushita vs. Saran & Yappy
I think Yappy is the only girl I have seen before. Asahi and Kaho do a little cheer and pose before it starts. Saran still seems to be a teenager. Saran hits an armdrag on Asahi and Saran's team runs the ropes sideways and hits both opponents with attacks. Saran gets tied up in the ropes and Asahi and Kaho pick on her.
Asahi's team both press their feet against Saran's throat. Kaho stretches Saran and single leg crabs her. Yappy gets in and they botch a double stunner spot, as only Asahi gets it. Kaho gets butt splashed in the corner by Yappy then Yappy sits on her back and double reverse armbars her in a cool move.
Asahi misses a dropkick and gets a giant butt bump to the face. Yappy gets caught in the ropes and is 619'd by Asahi. Asahi then crossbodies her from the top and is backbreakered soon after. Saran hits some dropkicks on Kaho. Asahi and Kaho double armdrag Saran then double dropkick her on the mat for 2.
Kaho forearms Saran and Saran starts crying. She teases a forearm and Kaho goes to block but gets her foot stomped. Kaho and Asahi try to double pin Saran but Yappy breaks it up. Saran hits a crossboyd from the top and Kaho suplexex her for 2. Kaho then side slams her for the win. Saran went after Kaho but Yappy had to hold her back.
This wasn't good. Saran's green and just not confident yet and the girls had to be a bit more careful with her. Asahi and Kaho also weren't good enough to carry her.
Tsukushi Haruka vs. Nao Ishikawa
Tsukushi hits her with a hard forearm. Tsukushi hits a nice dropkick and throws her backwards by her hair. Tsukushi takes off Nao's hairband and throws it at her. She then stomps on both her hands.
Nao gets tied up in the ropes and Tsukushi dropkicks her while she is in it. Nao makes a comeback and they trade corner moves. Tsukushi then ties her up with a Christo and dropkicks her as her upperbody is against the bottom buckle.
They trade forearms and Tsukushi easily wins that battle. Tsukushi rolls through and double stomps her. Nao gives her a nasty looking gori special drop then eats a hard dropkick through the ropes. Tsukushi hit a top rope dropkick and Tsukushi hit some more forearms. Tsukushi then hit an underhand forearm for 2 as the time limit was running down.
Tsukushi hit a great top rope footstomp and then won it.
This went too long and Nao wasn't treated as credible to beat her. It was little more than a one sided long squash and Nao needed more offense here.
Tsukasa Fujimoto & Yuki Mashiro vs. Ibuki Hoshi & Totoro Satsuki
Tsukasa and Ibuki do some basic reversals to start. Tsukasa dropkicks her down and tags out. Yuki and Ibuki bump chests. Ibuki wants a test of strength and Yuki steps on her foot then Totoro chokes Yuki in the corner.
Tsukasa gets on Yuki's back and they walk on Totoro's back. Tsukasa hits some kicks to Totoro's back but gets caught and slammed. Tsukasa then octopus stretches her. Tsukasa gets tied up in the ropes and Totoro splashes her hard fron behind. Yuki pokes Totoro in the eye then Yuki and Tsukasa double stranglehold Totoro.
Totoro hits a big slam on Tsukasa then slams Yuki on her too before splashing both. Ibuki goes for a cutter on Tsukasa but Tsukasa holds on and Ibuki goes flying by herself. Those two trade chops and Ibuki hits some hard ones.
Tsukasa corner dropkicks her hard and Ibuki comes back with a shoulder after taking a kick combo. Ibuki crossbodies her from the top for 2 around 10 minutes in. Tsukasa hits a nice top rope dropkick on her for 2. Ibuki hits a hard chop on Yuki and Yuki fires back with some good forearms. Ibuki crabs her and Totoro sentons her for 2.
Yuki hits some dropkicks on Ibuki and gets a 2 count. Tsukasa top rope blockbusters Ibuki and Yuki hits a 2nd rope crossbody on her for 2. Ibuki soon after steamrollers Yuki and wins it.
This was a fun main event. The action was fast. Ibuki was a tremendous face here with tons of fire and Totoro did good throwing her weight around. Tsukasa never really gives you a bad performance and there wasn't anything wrong with this.
Overall thoughts: The main was good but there were a lot of green girls on this show who still need a lot of work. I'm sure they will get there eventually, but today isn't the day. It wasn't a bad effort, just not 5 star work.
