WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 - 2/19/2022 (Selected Matches Only)

WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 - 2/19/2022 (Selected Matches Only)

I'm not a fan of the WWE women. They had 3 women's matches and I wasn't going to watch any of those. I'm also really not interested in watching a 3 hour show.

Here's what I did see though:

WWE Universal Title - Roman Reigns vs Goldberg

Look, I know Golderg is older, limited and can't go too long, but this wasn't enough. He got like one spear in and was tapped via guillotine choke in under 10 minutes. I think you could have done much better with Goldberg's limitations and found a way to have him lose more respectfully. This was just a total waste of time and money for something that could have been good.

The Uso's vs The Viking Raiders

The Uso's attack them outside as they enter and suplex one of the VR's on the other. The Uso's then pose and leave...okay.

WWE Title - Elimination Chamber Match - Bobby Lashley (c) vs. Brock Lesnar vs. Austin Theory vs. Riddle vs. AJ Styles vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins

I can't imagine someone paying money for this and being happy. So they had the usual match and Bobby Lashley gets nailed in the pod before he even enters...then he gets helped out and never actual does enter. Brock eliminates everyone except for Austin Theory in seconds. Theory sees it is him and Brock and runs for it. Brock catches him. He hits a couple of hope spots and then tries to climb out. Brock runs up the cage and grabs him, then they are on top of a pod. Brock then F-5's him off of it in a wild spot, though Theory mostly landed on his feet and used the cage to soften the blow. Brock then wins it and Bobby Lashley loses his title without actually being defeated. People were expecting Cody Rhodes but that didn't happen and this was another waste of time.

This all leads to Brock vs Roman at Mania which has been done several times over AT MANIA and is not an interesting matchup.

Overall thoughts: I only saw 3 of the matches here, but even those felt like a rip-off. I'd maybe go back and watch more, but those 3 I saw were more than enough. I really don't know how anyone can be a fan of this promotion and it feels like WWE intentionally goes out of their way to screw their fans.
