Sendai Girls 11/28/2021 

I skipped two matches here.

Sendai Girls Junior Title Match - Yurika Oka (c) vs. Kanon

They do a nice lock up and mat wrestle, then Kanon headscissors her, Oka gets out and they face off. They both flip out of armlocks and both do nice bridges. Oka does a nice flip out of a double reverse armbar and pulls her down with her leg in a cool counter.

Kanon hits a nice dropkick and they blow a wheelbarrow spot. Oka headscissors her but she headflips out. Kanon slides under her for a nice pin but is reversed. Kanon dropkicks her in the buckles then gets bulldogged. They trade forearms amd Kanon does a nice headscissors followed by a beautiful high vertical suplex bridge and pin.

Kanon springboard dropkicks her for 2 then is thrown off the top rope. Oka hits some crossbodies then does a great leg takedown into a single leg crab. Oka hit a flurry of dropkicks then Kanon slid under her for a nice 2 count roll-up. Oka put her in a deep single leg crab soon after then hit a perfectplex and a splash from the top for the win.

Very strong match. Kanon is sill in high school and looks like the second coming. She's good at selling, she's good at using her short size to her advantage and she can really move. Oka wasn't bad either and is just a somewhat plain joshi wrestler, but there's room for that too and maybe she will get better. These girls have only been working for about a year and half and are both better than most of the AEW and WWE rosters. One of the better rookie matches I've seen.

Andras Miyagi vs. Mika Iwata

They don't do too much early then Mika heel kicks Andras out of the ring. They go outside and Mika gets tombstoned on the mat outside. Mika beats the count in and is flurried on. Miyagi slingshot neckbreakers her on the ropes.

Mika kicks her in the head while Andras is on the apron then Mika crossbodies her. She then hits a running pump knee for 2. They exchange forearms up top then Mika high kicks her from the mat as she is up there and pulls her down.

Andras climbs her back for a sleeper. She puts Mika in a dragon sleeper but Mika hits the ropes. Mika hit some high kicks and Andras fought back with forearms. Mika dropped her with a highkick and then Mika missed something off the 2nd rope before getting german suplexed. She no sold the german and kicked Andras.

Mika superkicked her and then high kicked her for 2. Mika then hit a buzzsaw kick. Mika hit Mochizuki's triangle kick off the 2nd rope then won it.

The match was okay but the finish really was out of nowhere and didn't really fit. There wasn't anything else really wrong with it. Andras did her heeling and Mika hit a bunch of kicks.

Hardcore Match - DASH Chisako vs Hibiki

We've got lots of plunder in the ring for this one.

Dash hits her with a chair to start then chokes her with a shirt or towel. Dash hits her with a chair and as she is hanging off the middle rope, she baseball slides a chair into her face.

Dash puts Hibiki's head through the opening on a seated chair and chairs her head. I think she then double stomped her off the apron. A ladder is set up against the ropes and Hibiki throws her into it. She hits her with some great headbutts then slaps her silly with a traffic cone.

Hibiki hits a big slam and Dash sits on a chair with a traffic cone. Hibiki then lariats it into her face. Dash rolls out and throws a chair at her. Dash see-saws a ladder into Hibiki's face then does an RVD style chair dropkick. Dash then rams Hibiki's face into a chair put between the buckles then plancha's her from the top to the floor.

Dash gets BACKDROPPED onto the floor which makes everyone gasp then Hibiki sentons her off the top through a table. Hibiki then hits a big lariat for 2. Dash is in the corner and Hibiki rushes her then gets the top edge of the ladder slammed down on her. Hibiki then gets a trash can put over her head and Dash chairs it.

Dash then hits her with the can and dropkicks the can as it rests against her head in the corner. Dash sets up a pyramid of chairs that is taller than she is and Hibiki gets thrown through it and into the ladder on the other side. Dash then butt drops a ldder from the top onto her.

Dash and hibiki climb a ladder that everyone holdsup and they fight until Hibiki gets knocked off. Hibiki superplexes her off the ladder for 2 and throws traffic cones all over the place. Dash picks up a bucket and uses it as shield. Hibiki then hits her in the face with a cone. Hibiki sentons off the ladder but Dash moves and she bounces hard.

Dash puts together a makeshift scaffold with some help. Both girls climb on top of it and Hibiki falls off after a bucket shot. Dash then drops it on her head and double stomps her for a near fall. Dash hits her with chairs and throws some on her then she frogsplashes her from the ladder for the win.

What a match this was. It did need a little blood but this was brutal with these girls really letting each other have it with the weapons and the big spots. This was very well paced and both brought the hate here. The other girls helping to hold up the ladders was a little silly, but this is 2021 MOTYC as far as I'm concerned. Great stuff.

Sendai Girls World Title Match - Chihiro Hashimoto (c) vs. Takumi Iroha

Chihiro has this awesome furry robe on with a big monster mouth in the middle. They do a long feel out session to start. CH takes a kick and then shoulders her down. They mat wrestle, trade head scissors and test of strength. Iroha side kicks her for 2 and twises her neck with her feet.

Iroha hangs on her with a guillotine and CH deadlift suplexes her out. She then flip sentons for 2 and octopus stretches her but Iroha hits the ropes. Iroha gets a side suplex for 2. CH goes up top but Iroha kicks her and she falls to the floor. Iroha goes for a high kick on the floor but gets powerbombed onto the floor mat.

CH senton atomico's her from the 2nd rope then ankle locks her through the ropes, which she has to break. CH butterfly suplexes her and kneebars her. They trade forearms and Iroha kick combos her then hits a basement dropkick. Iroha snap suplexes her then sharpshooters her.

They go up top and CH gets stuck on the middle rope where Iroha kicks her in the back of the head. Iroha foot slaps her. CH spears her at 20 minutes and they trade forearms. Iroh goes for a high kick but CH ankle locks her. Iroha gets out and goes over her into a powerbomb. CH doesn't really sell it much though and germans her soon after.

They trade forearms and Iroha gets on the second rope and is german suplexed. CH top rope sentons her for 2 and figure fours her but Iroha rope breaks. Iroha hits a spinning heel kick but holds her leg.  CH superplexes her from the top. Iroha spinning forearms and spinning kicks her then sitout powerbombs her for 2. Iroha swanton'd her for 2.

They trade forearms on their knees and get to their feet. CH release germans her and she doesn't sell it, then CH gets release german'd. CH takes a superkick to the back of the head and a german for 2. CH then powerbombs her hard and gets rolled up for 2. Iroha hits a bunch of superkicks for a 2 count and the time expires.

It was clear they were going to a draw early. I really didn't mind the basic stuff and technical wrestling that took up the first 20 minutes, though it didn't really go anywhere. The last 10 minutes weren't that great though with a lot of no selling and rushing to get moves in. I liked this better than a lot of draws I've seen because it was only 30 minutes and while it didn't have a lot of story, they also didn't try for one and screw it up. 

Overall thoughts: What I saw was really good. The hardcore match is a must see and the main was fine for a 30 minute draw. The junior title match was also very good with Kanon looking to be the next big thing in joshi.
