Dramatic Dream Team 2/14/2022 - Ultimate Tag League 2022 in Shinjuku

Jun Kasai, Yuji Hino & Yukio Sakaguchi vs. DISASTER BOX (HARASHIMA & Naomi Yoshimura) & Soma Takao

Jun wrestled Harashima down and then they faced off after a headscissors. Soma and Yukio went face to face and traded forearms. Soma dropkicked him then headflipped. They traded more forearms and then laid some more on each other in the corner. Harashima did some pendulum knees to Yukio then suplexed him off the 2nd rope.

They traded kicks then high kicked each other at the same time and fell down. Hino and Yoshimura shoulder battled and Yoshimura won it. They traded chops then Hino nailed him with a lariat. Yoshimura held up Jun for a Harashima bulldog. Soma then top rope footstomped Jun for 2.

Hino release german suplexed Jun then Yoshimura got german'd by Jun. Jun and Soma traded forearms then Jun rans the ropes a few times leading up to a lariat. Jun top rope splashed him for 2. Jun then hit double underhook piledriver for the win.

This was 10 minutes long and fun. Everyone got a little in and added something. I liked the kick battles here with Yukio and the Hino vs Yoshimura power match.

Ultimate Tag League 2022 Block A Match - Burning (Jun Akiyama and Tetsuya Endo) vs Kazuki Hirata and Shuji Kondo

Jun sliding knee's Hirata. He tries for an exploder but Hirata yells something at him. He tries to fire up but gets a back elbow and a short piledriver. Engo backdrops Hirata for 2.

Hirata tries some chops on Jun but gets a hard elbow to the back of the head. Jun puts him in a stiff camel clutch facelock but Hirata hits the ropes. Hirata hit a headscissors on Endo and tagged out to Kondo.

Kondo and Endo traded forearms. Endo got put on the middle rope and Kondo used his foot to drive him into the mat. Endo leapfrogged him then pele kicked him. Kondo came back though with a pop-up into a powerslam and then nailed him with a lariat. Endo then picked him up and german'd him.

A little later, Jun suplexed Hirata. They traded forearms and Hirata suplexed him. Jun then hit a superplex on Hirata for 2. Endo hit his standing SSP on Hirata for 2. Jun hit some knees on Hirata. Hirata got a pin attempt in then took another knee for 2. Jun exploder suplexed Hirata for 2 then won it with another exploder on him.

This was short and there was only so much they could do, but I thought they did a good job with Hirata trying to fight back against Jun and failing.

Ultimate Tag League 2022 Block A Match - Eruption (hideki Okatani and Kazusada Higuchi) vs The 37KAMIINA (Konosuke Takeshita and Yuki Ueno)

Ueno tries to leapfrog Higuchi but is caught. He then backwards rolls into a spinning headscissors on him. Kamiina dropkicks him then Okatani fights back with forearms and flapjacks Takeshita onto Ueno. Ueno drops a big double knee on Okatani's gut. Takeshita then 2nd rope sentons Oka for 2. Higuchi breaks it up and they stare down. Takeshita does a nice backbreaker on Oka and nails him hard with a corner forearm. Takeshita then rolls him onto his knee for a hard backbreaker. Takeshita puts Oka in the crab then Higuchi puts Ueno in the crab and they headbutt each other while doing it.

Oka hits a nice dropkick off the 2nd rope on Takeshita then Oka shoulderblocks him and powerslams him. Higuchi goes for a chokeslam but Takeshita hurricanrana's him then flying lariats him. Takeshita then tope con hilo's him on the outside. The two trade shots and Takeshita hits a big boot, then suplexes him. Takeshita 2nd rope superplexes him then Higuchi comes back with a big lariat. Ueno and Oka get in fire off forearms and Oka wins the exchange. They trade more forearms and Ueno hits a nice shining wizard. Ueno hits a nice half-tiger suplex for 2. Oka hits a high northern lights suplex on Ueno for 2.

Ueno fights off his opponents 2v1. Takeshita and Ueno double single arm powerbomb Oka hard but Oka kicks out. Ueno frogsplashes Oka. Ueno is up top and Higuchi battering rams him into Takeshita then Oka hits a lariat/ddt combo on both opponents. Higuchi hits a corner lariat on Ueno and then takes a slap flurry. Higuchi gives one back and gets hurricanrana'd then high dropkicked. Takeshita and Higuchi collide hard on lariats then Takeshita high knees him. Ueno springboard dropkick doombsday devices Higuchi for 2 in a big spot. Ueno double jump moonsaults Higuchi, but he gets his knees up. Oka goes over the top rope to lariat Takeshita on the apron and they go down. Ueno then takes a claw slam and a doctor bomb for a close 2. Higuchi runs though Ueno for 2 then high claw slams him for the win.

The finishing stretch went a little long but this was a strong match. They built it well and progressed into bigger stuff near the end to the finish. Okatani looked maybe the best he has looked yet and Higuchi looked good here with big man offense. I wouldn't have had Higuchi take the dropkick doomsday device though. Very good match here.
