Daichi Hashimoto & Kota Sekifuda vs. Masaki Morihiro & Yuji Okabayashi

Yuji and Kota counter each other's moves early. Masaki comes in with a toy hot dog. No, really, he does. The toy gets outside and Yuji keeps throwing it back in for him to use as Hashimoto kicks it out. Daichi puts Masaki in the crab and Masaki gets the hot dog toy thrown in to hit the ropes and get out. Why is the ref allowing this since it's not a hardcore match. Masaki uses the toy and Yuji starts slamming everyone.

Kota gets in and dodges a bunch of Yuji's shots. Yuji then claps in front of him and then chops him, but he's no match for Yuji's strikes. Masaki hits his own partner with the toy for some reason and hits Hashimoto. Yuji fires Kota in as Masaki hits him with the toy. Masaki and Yuji argue about the toy. Yuji picks him up and tries to slam him into Kota twice, then picks him up again and Hash moves. Kota pins Masaki and thankfully ends this turd.

Kohei Sato & Kosuke Sato vs. Kazuki Hashimoto & Takuya Nomura

Sato and Nomura go to the mat early then Kazuki gets in. He trades kicks with Kohei and Kohei pretty much laughs them off. Kohei slaps down Hashimoto hard and Kosuke comes in for some offense. Kosuke hits some dropkicks and they hit each other with forearms. They pick up speed a little and Hash drops Kosuke with one. Kosuke fires back with a combo and Hash really nails him good with two of them. Sato falcon arrow's Nomura, who armbars him on the landing and Hash hits a headbutt on Kosuke. He then hits the death valley driver for the win. This didn't go too long but it had spirit and some good shots, and Kohei did what he was supposed to do here with the giant role. It beat my expectations.

Kazumi Kikuta, Ryuichi Kawakami & Takuho Kato vs. Kuma Arashi, Yasufumi Nakanoue & Yuya Aoki

Kuma and Kawakami stare each other down a bit and Kawakami shoulders Kuma down, only for him to do a kip-up. Kato and Nakanoue do some technical wrestling before doing a stand off. Kikuta does some karate chops and a shotei to Aoki and Kikuta keeps trying to punch Aoki in the chest but keeps hurting himself with it. Aoki sweeps his leg and flips on him. Kuma gets in and hits him with a samoan drop and a senton. Kikuta low blows Kuma and gets Kawakami in there. Kawakami drops Kuma with an elbow. Nakanoue and Kato go back at it and Kato does a nice fallaway slam for 2.

Naka gets ganged up on and Kato hits a nice northern lights suplex. Kuma does a crossbody onto Kawakami and Kikuta and then Aoki dives on them. Kato does a powerslam to Nakanoue for 2 and Naka comes back with a big lariat for 2. Nakanoue then hits a giant elbow from the top for the win.

It had its moments I guess, but what can you really do with a short, multi-man throwaway match?

Hardcore Match - Hideyoshi Kamitani & Ryuji Ito vs. Akira Hyodo & Kankuro Hoshino

Hoshino and Kamitani trade shots to start. Hyodo and Hosh double shoulder Kamitani and he fights back with chops and headbutts. Ito and Hyodo duel chairs and Ito gets the first chair shot in then throws it at Hoshino's head. Ito stacks some chairs on Hyodo and hits him with them. Hyodo gets beaten up for a bit and Ito stacks up a pile of chairs. Hyodo slams Ito on them and makes the tag. Hoshino hits a middle dropkick on Kamitani and grabs a cinder block. He puts them on Ito's stomach and drops the elbow....hurting himself probably more than Ito.

Ito grabs a block and drops it on Hoshino's foot lol Now you're thinking! Both men tag out and Hyodo hits the John Woo dropkick on Kamitani. Hyodo moonsault's Kamitani for 2. He then grabs a pile of chairs but Kamitani slams him on them. Kamitani gets double teamed and Hoshino back sentons cider blocks on him. Hyodo then does the same. What a bunch of geniuses eh? Hyodo gets superplexed onto a pile of chairs for 2 and Ito throws one right into his face. Hyodo gets a pile of chairs set on him and Kamitani elbows them from the top rope. Kamitani then does a big lariat on Hyodo for the win. Not too good and definitely not too smart with people doing sentons on cinder blocks.

Kamitani and Hoshino fight after and Ito fights Hoshino with a kendo stick.

Weapon Bringing Death Match - Jaki Numazawa, Masaya Takahashi & Minoru Fujita vs. Yankee Two Kenju (Isami Kodaka & Yuko Miyamoto) & Drew Parker

Everyone goes at it to start. Someone gets hit with a flail but it's too dark to see. Miyamoto and Fujita both go over the top on a hiptoss. Jaki puts A BUTCHER KNIFE in Parker's head and Takahashi tries to put some skewer sticks in his head. Drew starts to bleed and I think Fujita rubs a small gusset plate on his head. Jaki gets the knife out again and does a chinbreaker to Drew with the knife in his mouth. Takahashi gets the flail and hits Parker with it then does a flipping senton onto him for 2. Fujita then starts choking Parker with a chain. Takahashi and Drew exchange shots and drew does a cutter from off the ropes.

Isami grabs the ladder and lets it swing. After a while, Miyamoto grabs a barbed wire bat and hits Fujita with it, then tries to cut him open. Fujita then does a very obvious blade job and takes the barbed wire bat to the butt. Fujita pulls out a cinder block with pencils or something like it in it. Fujita ends up getting the sharp part to the gut and nails Miyamoto in the head with it. Fujita then stabs Miyamoto with it. They lariat and headbutt each other before both go down.

The match breakdowns and Jaki pulls Parker off the top with a chain then Fujita splashes Parker from the top. Jaki goes for a high last ride but Parker reverses it into a a piledriver. Jaki grabs some skewer sticks and puts them in Parker's head, then Parker takes them out and puts them in Jaki's head. Parker swanton's Jaki for the win. Fujita and Miyamoto stare down after the match.

This wasn't anything special and they didn't go out of their way here, though you could tell Drew was trying. I don't know why they did the skewer stick spot when they did. Also, Fujita is not an exciting guy to watch in 2020.

Flourescent Lighttubes Death Match - Takumi Tsukamoto vs. Yuki Ishikawa

Both men get sent into the tubes in the first few minutes. Takumi breaks one over Yuki's head and then another. They grab some chairs and Yuki slammed on them. Yuki grabs a couple of tubes and slams them on Takumi's head before throwing him into the tubes.

Yuki smashes up some tubes and bangs Takumi's head off of them. He then gets a chair and hits hit with the top of it in several places before throwing it at him. Yuki grabs a pile of tubes and does a vader bomb-esque back splash onto Takumi for 2.

They trade some forearms with a bloody Takumi showing some fighting spirit. Takumi really lets off on him with the forearms. Takumi puts some chairs on Yuki's stomach then double stomps it from the 2nd rope for 2.

Yuki sets up 2 chairs with a bridge of light tubes and slams Takumi through it. Yuki grabs a bunch of tacks but Takumi ends up spilling them on Yuki and Yuki falls on them. Yuki takes an unprettier on them for 2 and a superkick for another 2. Takumi slaps Yuki multiple times and Yuki fires back. They have a nice little slap fight. Yuki fires up by breaking tubes over his own head then drops Takumi on his chest on tubes. Yuki then does a weird standing backslide and wins in an unusual finish.

They showed some energy and spirit here and tried to do a little more than just the death match stuff, which I appreciated. The finish was very odd and I'm not real sure why that was chosen.

Overall thoughts: Not a real good Big Japan show. The deathmatch guys except for the main mailed it in and the rest of the guys were screwed due to short multi-man matches.
