Matt Hardy and Private Party vs The Young Bucks and Colt Cabana
A Buck speaks Isiah on the outside and Marquen dives on The Bucks. PP and Hardy take back over when they get back in. PP triple teamed one of the Bucks in the corner. Matt Jackson tried to come back but took a side-effect from Matt. Matt was going to get superkicked, but covered up and ducked, and Matt J. hit a twist of fate. Colt did an asai on both PP members and did a swinging headscissors before a butt bump to Isaiah's face.
PP had Colt in a crucifix and Hardy brought down Colt over the ropes, where PP turned it into a pin. PP climbed onto opposite corners and were both knocked down, then Nick J. did a run-up the ropes hurricanrana. Isaiah went up top and got thrown off, then PP hit the Gin N Juice. Isaiah senton'd Nick and Marquen SSP'd Nick...only for a 2 of course. Hardy got a chair and Marquen didn't want to use it. PP went for Gin and Juice and ended up getting hit a spike piledriver then Marquen was pinned by Colt.
They did way too much as they always do and the match noticeably declined when they had to take a break from the cool moves.
The Acclaimed then came out and SCU threw them into the ring. The Bucks and Colt then beat them up.
Back from break, Eddie hits a slap combo on Uno and they trade slaps. We get double hot tags and Blade tries to clothesline Arhcer but he runs through it. Archer hits a ripchord chokeslam on Blade. Archer walks the top rope and moonsaults onto Blade. Archer and Butcher trade some shots then Archer criss-crosses Butch and he flies. The Order did some double team throw and then Archer did a bad frog splash on him.
King did a DDT on Stu for 2. Stu did a double backflip kick and then Archer crossbodied him. Stu did a spingboard inside to apron x-factor on Butcher and D-O hit the fatality to win in a non-stop action packed match. There wasn't really a story or any logic but they just hit a lot of cool stuff in a row.
MJ came out with a Santana bandana and Puerto Rico tights.
Alex and John threw papers at The Inner Circle and as soon as the match started, Handman did the same thing. MJF yelled at Brodies' kid. Silver hit a tilt-a-whirl into an armdrag and is wearing a Brodie styled outfit. S&O did a roll-up into a springboard crossbody.
Santana had Alex on the middle rope and he neckbreakered him. S&O did their new 3 amigos double team move where Santana hits the first two suplexes and Ortiz comes in to help with the third. Page came in for the hot tag and idd a springboard clotheslines to Santana on the apron. He then dove on him.
Page hit a big clothesline on MJF. S&O held Page up and then MJF came from under and turned it into a cutter. We go to break and for some this showed up in picture in picture, but for this feed, it didn't. In case you wondered, the announcers also don't stop during Picture in Picture. S&O hit a double senton combo and Ortiz dropped the head on Page.
Santana stood on Ortiz's back while he was on all fours and moonsaulted. As we officially comeback from break, MJF beats up on Page with Page making the comeback and hot tag. Silvers clears out everyone. In succession, Silver hit an ezugiri, a cannonball dive, a euro uppercut then came back in the ring for a splash. Santana did a back roll into a cutter. MJF armdragged Page into the buckles. Silver did like a monkey flip into a canadian destroyer but MJF kind of messed up and it didn't hit right, then he dove on Santana. The heels all hit moves but it only got a 2 count.
Wardlow came in and wrecked Reynolds, then Eric Rowan came in and chokeslammed him as Excalibur tried to call him Eric Redbeard. Eric chokeslammed Wardlow who immediately got up as they both went to the back. The D-O did their combo to Ortiz then Page hit the buckshot lariat. MJF put Ortiz's foot on the ropes though for no reason. MJF then unmasked Brodie's kid and Brodie's kid hit him with the kendo stick. Page dove on MJF then Silver won it with Brodie's spinning lariat.
They did a lot here. This one is an unusual match to try and rate. I think they did a really good job overall though, I thought they could have maybe done more to get to the same ending. The ending was really cool and well done though and was a nice tribute to Brodie. If this match was able to included for this years MOTY voting, I have a feeling it might win it due to the ending with the general reddit/AEW crowd.
Kingston talked about how he would miss Brodie.
Anna Jay and Tay Conti vs Dr. Britt Baker and Penelope Ford
Britt did a rolling hammerlock on Jay. Tay through Jay into Ford and then they lariated her. Tay got slapped and let loose on Ford with elbows for it. Britt hit Tay with a flying kee and then Tay got german suplexed. Rebel tried to help out Britt but messed the setup up and the announcers called her on it. Britt suplexed Tay. Tay got stomped in the corner by Ford and hit a hard elbow on Ford.
Ford hita gorilla press into a gutbuster but it was done slowly. Ford and Tay double step-kicked each other. Both tagged out. Jay got the edge on Britt and did a bad roll into a kick as it barely hit. Tay hit a cool move then Britt did a slingblade onto her. Jay hit a sidekick then hit a spinning neckbreaker for 2. Penelope tried to handspring and back elbow into the ropes but Jay caught her with a grounded sleeper and won.
Hobbs wanted a test of strength but OC put his hands in his pockets. Hobbs played along unfortunately which made him look bad. Hobbs hit a cool spinning powerslam though. Cage did reps with OC then fallaway slammed him. Hobbs delayed suplexed OC and Cage did the same to OC. Starks tried it and OC suplexed him. Cody and Starks both spinning lariated each other.
10 cleared out everyone and caught Starks when he crossbodied him. 10 then powerbombed him. Starks ducked a step kick and did big spear on 10. Hobbs hit a nice body blow and Cage flatlines Cody.
Tazz grabs a chair and Arn does as well. As they face off, Cody hits a Cross Rhodes and 10 hits a spinebuster for the win. If it was me, I would have had OC get beaten for most of the match, had 10 tease that he wouldn't get involved or something to that nature then finally get in there and win the match. It was fine though but more of a collection of moves than anything else.
After the match, Team Tazz beat up Cody and OC. The lights went out then Darby and Sting appeared and they stared down Team Tazz.
To close the show, Cody talked about Brodie and Brodie's wife and kid came out.
They did a nice tribute video of Brody to close the show.
Overall thoughts: A good show and a very nice tribute to Brodie.
