Thoughts: Shingo did the death rider ddt here because he's fighting Mox soon. It was a nice opener. It had a good pace to it. Nagai was fun and fiery as usual and Goto/Shingo brought some good speed.

Jon Moxley and Marina Shafir are on the tron. Mox says he will return to NJPW. Shingo says Mox didn't even mention his name. He says if he's coming to NJPW, then he wants a match with Mox.

Thoughts: It wasn't that interesting. HoT didn't do any absurd heeling but they also didn't impress here. This was mostly the Taichi show here.

Thoughts: It didn't get enough time to be anything special. We had power vs power and technical vs technical battles here and not a ton of crossover between the two. It was fine for what they had to work with but it would have been neat to see this get a lot more time.

Konosuke Takeshita & Toru Yano vs. House Of Torture (Ren Narita & Shun Skywalker)

Yano double low blows his opponents then low blows Shun. Yano pins Shun.

Thoughts: This was a complete waste of time and was almost all shenanigans.

Thoughts: It was alright but never made it to being great. It didn't really get enough time and the structure just wasn't there. There were also a lot of different types of wrestlers here which made that one harder to pull off. They continued to push Newman/Will here and I think the people who want to see that most are the two people involved in it.

Newman hits Oskar in the back of the leg with a sword after. Newman pounds on him while United Empire grab Cobb. Will pushes Newman and Newman swings his sword at him. They stare down and Will yells at him. Newman threatens him with the sword then leaves it.

Will says they'd still have the titles if the ref did his job. Will says he has a pinfall over Ice and asks for a tag tag title shot on 11/3. Ice asks who Will's partner will be.

KF suplexes him for 2. They forearm each other. Wolf olympic slams him for 2. Wolf fisherman jackhammer's him/northern lights bombs him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was slightly acceptable. They really needed to bump up the pace at some point here but they did not. I didn't like them no selling either as Wolf is too early into his career to start doing that. I had high hopes for this and it didn't meet those.

Thoughts: It was a longer one and it was mostly strike based. They didn't overdo it, but they no sold a decent bit and it felt like they repeated strikes a lot after a while. It was acceptable but the length didn't help this one and it didn't need to go as long as it did.

Gabe talks on the mic after. He asks where the fighting spirit is and says Drilla and Shota can't touch him. He asks who has the guts to take the title from him. No one comes out, he calls them p*ssies and says he will see us at the Tokyo Dome.

Taichi then gets in the ring and holds the belt up. Taichi says this is the NJPW ring and Gabe doesn't belong in it. Tacihi says he will end him as they butt heads. Gabe agrees for November 3rd.

Thoughts: The ending was a bit sudden, but maybe that's how it had to be in this match. It was fine. Rob worked the knee for most of the match, Yoh sold it then won in a believable way.

IWGP Heavyweight Title Match - Yota Tsuji (c) vs. Ryohei Oiwa

They trade waistlocks and Oiwa wristlocks him. Yota reverses it. Oiwa hammerlocks him and Yota ropebreaks. They test strength and Yota takes him down. Yota side headlock takeovers him. Oiwa headscissors him. Oiwa rolls him into a headscissors.

Thoughts: It was a good match. Oiwa worked the side headlock most of the match along with some lariats. Yota worked the ribs and eventually won with a fireblaster. The crowd and announcers were into it, it made sense and I didn't have any problems with it. It would have been interesting to see how it looked if they added a big spots or two as it might have hit the "great" mark for me.

Yota talks on the mic after. He says Oiwa was close but he was a little stronger. He says he wants to see him win the title someday but he won't let him easy. Kenny says Yota has no manners. He says he's an NJPW legend. He says Yota isn't the matchmaker and wants to talk to Hiroshi Tanahashi, who is at ringside. Kenny then puts the title on Yota.

Thoughts: I'm no fan of Kenny, so this doesn't excite me. Kenny and Yota will get the worst out of each other while Oiwa makes Yota work smarter. I do not understand why or how Kenny is unable to make these trips to AEW shows but has no problem making Japanese trips all the time.

Overall thoughts: I liked the opener and thought it was a great match to start the show with. The House of Torture tag matches were wastes of time. I liked what we got out of Oleg Boltin's match and wish it would have went twice as long. The six-man tag title match was fine but not as good as it could have been. Wolf/Fujita was slightly acceptable and disappointing. Gabe/Shota went too long and was acceptable. Had it been half the time, it would have been rated higher by me. Yoh/eagles was fine. The main was good and easily the best match on the show. I'd give it a high 6 out of 10 as we had some good wrestling here at various spots on the card and it was definitely better than what we normally get. It was a good show overall.
