EPW Wrestling 4/11/2026 Episode #237

Last week's show is here: https://prowresblog.blogspot.com/2026/04/epw-wrestling-442026-episode-236.html

Joey Gross and Gene Jackson are on commentary.

The commentators talk about tonight's show to start.

The Initiative (Trace Hunt and Jason Genesis) vs Los Desfios (Jota Peso and Maximo Suave)

Max has the longer hair and JP has the shorter hair. Aryann is with The Initiative.

The heels get their stereo punches blocked and take shots. The faces hit The Initiative then JP dropkicks Trace for 2. Trace lariats JP and hits him in the gut. JP goes for a sunset flip but Trace tags out. Jason gets 2 count and we go to break.

We return and Jason hits corner spears on JP. JP boot Jason out of the corner. Trace germans JP for 2. JP hits some punches on Trace then Trace lariats him for 2. Jason euros JP in the corner. Jason chokes JP over the 2nd rope. Trace then chokes JP and Aryann helps out with the choke.

Jason misses a lariat and goes over the top. Aryanna distracts Max and Max misses the tag because of it. Trace kicks JP. Trace punches JP down. Trace twisting suplexes JP and Jason sentons JP. Trace 2nd rope crossbodies Jason then JP moves.

Max tags in. He lariats Trace twice then hits jabs. Max dances then shotei's and flatliners him for 2. Jason takes a step up enzugiri then a short arm lariat from Max. Trace takes a uranage + russian legsweep combo. JP topes Jason outside. Aryann distracts the ref on a pin attempt. Trace rolls up Max for 2.

Max and Trace trade shots. Max takes a backdrop + backcracker and is pinned.

Thoughts: It was fine. Los Desifios could have done a little better on their hot tag segment as Suave didn't wasn't fast or fiery enough. The crowd seemed pretty into this. The Initiative have some new gear and it's an improvement over their old gear.

Richard Holliday vs Aaron Roberts

They argue with each other. Rich side headlocks him and they shoulder battle. AR shoulders him over. Rich goes for a low bow but AR avoids it. AR is chopped and no sells it. AR hits corner spears.

AR slams Ric then splashes him for 2. Rich pulls AR's throat over the top rope and knocks him off the apron. Rich legdrops him on the apron for 2. AR hits shots on Rich's gut then chops him. AR misses a corner splash.

Rich teases a low blow and the ref yells at him. AR hits 2 lariats and a corner splash. AR is nearly pushed into the ref then Rich low blows AR but only gets a 2 count. AR chokeslams Rich then legdrops him for the win.

Thoughts: It was fine and definitely competition. AR has a certain presence to him and that helped this one out. I was surprised Rich didn't get the win with his low blow after he had teased it all match.

Arn and Brock Anderson are interviewed. Arn says he has never seen a building so full of awesome wrestling fans. Arn says he's honored to be here and says it's been a great card. Arn says Brock will take Horsemen country to new levels. Brock talks and thanks for everyone for coming out despite the weather.

The Order of Dorian Vain, Izzy Rotten and Ethan Ross interrupt. Vain says they aren't coming out to diminish the legacy of The Anderson's. He says all of them are inspired by Arn and is the unsung hero of the NWA. He says he's here to educate them. He says this is no longer Horsemen Country and they aren't the greatest faction of all time. He says this is Order Country and they are the greatest faction of all time. Vain says while Arn is great and accomplished a lot, his son isn't exactly that.

Brock says this is Anderson Country. He asks how Vain will like how he looks when his teeth are scattered in the ring. Brock says he came on a good will mission. He says he will put his gear on, will head to the ring and says Vain better come out later with his title belt.

Thoughts: They buried Brock a bit here but I liked Vain coming out and saying this is their country and they are the greatest faction of all time.

Eli Knox is interviewed. He says he's better than all the fans in every single way. He says he has gold around his waist and it's success only fans could dream of. He says he will put his title on the line against anyone who wants to step up.

EPW Apex Title - Eli Knox (c) vs Marko Harris

This is an open challenge.

They lock up. Eli waistlocks him and hits him. Marko waistlock takedowns him. Marko hits some punches then dropkicks him for 2. Marko hits some euros and is thrown out. Eli is swept on the apron. Marko hits punches outside. Eli's head is banged off the apron.

Marko is sent into the rails. Eli stomps on him. Marko's head is banged off the rails. Marko 619's him on the outside under the bottom rope. Eli ddt's him over the 2nd rope for 2. Marko is dropped gut first on the top rope.

Eli is up top and is kicked. Marko superplexes him. Marko has the 2nd rope kicked into his crotch. Eli hits a headlock driver for 2. Marko goes up and over then germans him. Marko os cutters him and pins him.

Thoughts: It was a bit of a random bout. It didn't quite click as well as I had hoped and it felt like they never had the flow down on this. I don't love random title changes all that much either.

Downtown Bruno and Commissioner K-Swiss are interviewed in the ring. Bruno says this is his time and he doesn't know what Swiss is out here. He says he's Swiss' boss and says he keeps up with it even when he's not here. He says Swiss isn't doing a good job. Bruno asks why Swiss didn't sanction Brock Anderson's title match with Vain. Bruno says he will sanction it now and says it will be a title match because he says he says so.

CJ Thomas comes out. He puts over Swiss and says he has lost some weight. He asks what Bruno even does here. Bruno says he's the chairman of the board. Swiss says he had match for CJ tonight. He says it was supposed to be CJ vs Tommy Dreamer. He says he couldn't have Tommy here for an unpaid audience so he cancelled his plane ticket. He says Tommy won't be here.

Wonder Boy comes out. Bruno says Wonder Boy and CJ Thomas are in the ring, so let's have Wonder Boy replace Tommy Dreamer. CJ says he refuses. Bruno says they will wrestle and he will referee the match. Swiss says Bruno is his boss and it be's that way sometimes so he can't change it.

Special Ref: Downtown Bruno - Wonder Boy vs CJ Thomas

They lock up and CJ side headlocks him. CJ shoulders him over and Bruno takes his time to count. Boy cradles him for 2 and Bruno does a quick count. Boy misses a corner splash and is thrown out. Boy is outside and Bruno does a slow countout count on him. CJ gets upset.

CJ uranage backbreakers Boy and Bruno tries to count with his foot. CJ gets upset. CJ chokes Boy and does push up's while doing it. Bruno stomps CJ's hand. CJ chokes Boy in the corner. Boy hits shots on CJ in the corner.

Boy misses a corner charge and CJ lariats him. CJ tries another pin and Bruno ignores it to check out his shoe. Boy hits punches. CJ corner lariats Boy then pounds on Boy's back. CJ then does push-up's on Boy.

Boy hits punches. CJ lariats him and Bruno slow counts him again. Boy backslides CJ for 2. CJ facekicks Boy. CJ argues with Bruno and pokes him. CJ grabs him. Boy rolls up CJ and Bruno fast counts to get Boy the win.

Thoughts
: I didn't like this. Instead of a heel ref screwing the face, it was a face ref screwing the heel. I sympathized with CJ here and that was definitely not the point of this one.

Overall thoughts: We had 4 matches here, an appearance from Arn and Brock Anderson and Downtown Bruno as a ref. They filmed from different arena here and had a nicer set up for it than usual. The opener was okay but Los Desfios could have been better faces. Holliday/Roberts was alright. I liked The Order/Anderson's segment. Eli and Marko didn't quite gel as much as I expected. I didn't like the main at all as we had a face ref screwing a heel and making the heel sympathetic. I'd give it a 5 out of 10 as it was average.
